Delivery of rock & edging was late, so we called and they seemed to have lost our order. Upon delivery, They covered our edging with 8 tons of rock. Can’t pull it out. Will cost us extra money paying a crew to move 8 tons of rock twice. 🤬

Every time we’ve come in the staff have been awesome. The customer service is truly wonderful. The first time we had rock delivered, we had an amazing driver named Danny. He went above and beyond for us and was extremely patient. It’s because of people like Danny that we will continue to give our business to pioneer.

They have a bunch of samples on display near the entrance to the yard or just drive around and look at all the options! Super friendly staff will help you find what youre looking for and get it loaded. Weigh your vehicle on the way in and the way out and then circle back to the right and park near the office to pay. Couldnt be easier!

If you can haul the materials yourself, this place it the way to go. You weigh in your truck, drive to the location where all the materials are located, tell the loader person to load up whatever you want, and weigh out. Inside you pay for the actual weight difference. Significantly cheaper than local home improvement places...

We have used Pioneer for several years without any major issues, but this last delivery experienece has cost them our online review, future business and recommendation. Everyone makes mistakes, but this was over the top.We went in for roadbase on Tuesday and they confirmed the delivery for Weds morning. Additionally they confirmed that if we needed an additional material, they were currently making same day deliveries.The first load came Weds morning as expected and without surprises other than learning the phone number had been typed wrong on our account. Opps, accidents happen.About noon we confirmed we would need another load. We called in to place another order and they confirmed on two seperate calls that the material would be delivered that same afternoon, before 4. The crew who needed the mmaterial agreed there was no reason to hang around waiting, so they packed up early for the day to return in the morning and finish up the work.Unfortunately no delivery arrived that afternoon. I called at 7AM the next day and spent half an hour on the phone to learn they had no idea why the second load didnt arrive, but guaranteed that our load would go out as soon as the truck was back. 9AM at the latest.This meant the crew would be sitting around (on the clock) for 2 hours, but better than paying another trip fee.9AM came and went. I called again and after 1.5 hours on and off the phone investigating they confirmed, once again, they had indeed committed, the commitment had been lost and our delivery was now pushed out until 12-2PM. This means the crew must now be paid for 5 hours of doing nothing waiting on the material to arrive.They apologized and promised the delivery fee would be waived and a supervisor would be calling in the afternoon to discuss the situation.The delivery did finally arrive at noon, but the delivery fee wasnt waived, no supervisor called and we are out many hundreds of dollars for a crew to sit idly because of Pioneers inability to follow through every step along the way.I wont use a business who cannot be trusted to deliver on schedule or step up, own it and fix it when mistakes happen.

It has now been 3 times in a row Ive asked for them to call me when they head to the drop off property. Then call me when they get there. The reason is obvious, 1 the customer then signs the recept if Im not there. 2 I obviously need to know when the materials are going to be there and when they are there. So that I may be there. They have lost my companys business thats for sure. I highly suggest if you are a company to go else where . This place seems like its more for home owners. Even though the customer service is usually not that great and rude . They arent very accommodating for picking out what you need. Decided to give them a third try this year to see if they would get their act together and they obviously havent.

Was recommended to get soil from here for my garden. I spent 45 minutes on hold trying to get someone to answer and when they did the call disconnected before we finished the order. I then spent another half hour to 45 minutes on hold trying to get someone back on the line because they didn’t call me back. Terrible service and what they quoted me was more expensive than C&C where they actually answer their phone and help customers!

Horrible customer service. Who ever the girl manager is has a rude attitude. They dont even know whats in stock at thier own store and wont even look. Pretty much a fend for your self attitude. If your in any sort of a hurry I wouldn waste your time here because your not gunna find any help. Better of going to dons gardens shop. Im a decent sized company and buy rock alot and I definitely will not be back. They can thank thier rude workers for losing the company a decent amount of money. Not only will I not be buying my 20 tons of rock this week I will not be back for the other jobs I had lined up. Decided to give this company a try and I regret the waste of the little free time I had.

OK, so I am a contractor. Let me start by saying that as my company has grown over the last 5 years Pioneer might be the most important partner we have had throughout this whole venture. I have formed a fairly personal relationship with the staff especially at the Northpark store. Krista is a freaking Rockstar, the sales folks are awesome, and the loaders are absolutely top notch. This review has zero to do with them. Hey Pioneer, what kind of corporate bs have you done with your dispatching? Deliveries have become totally unreliable. First off you now have an option when you call to be put in touch with dispatch to place your order. I learned my lesson last year and now just go directly to the staff at the store to place my order. Press # three folks. The first reason I do this is, like I said, I know them and they understand our needs. The second reason is last year when I called the dispatch to schedule a delivery they told me it would be X amount of days. Thats reasonable. It was summer and all landscapers and their suppliers are crazy busy. No sweat. But then, this person tells me that I could get it sooner if I was willing to pay more. WHAT!!??? That is a horrible business practice. Right now I an sitting in front of a customers house on a Sunday morning (that was the only time I could get slotted that put us in a position to work Monday) and my delivery is 1 1/2 hours late. I cant help but wonder if I got bumped because somebody else paid more. I call down to the store and speak with Nick (AWESOME GUY!) and he is genuinely a frustrated as me. They are tired of apologizing for decisions made by the higher ups. Hey Pioneer... get your stuff together. I am running out of patience and so is your staff. Untie their hands please. - concerned customer

Over the years we have used 3 different landscaping material sources for our yard projects, and we come back every time to Pioneer Landscape. We first heard of Pioneer via word of mouth and we haven’t been disappointed. They have an amazing selection and their staff including Nick, Larry and Nolan are friendly, knowledgeable and experienced. We highly suggest checking their 3 different locations in Colorado Springs to ensure you get a good idea of what is available (you might even form some new ideas or projects for your property). This year we added some boulders to our yard and Larry from Pioneer managed to place these perfectly despite some challenges and without damaging our existing hardscape. We’re very happy and will continue to use and recommend Pioneer Landscape. Good luck with your projects!

Avoid this place at all cost. terrible customer service. I spent $960 dollars for materials and when I called to ask a question about the delivery the girl hung up on me. before she hung up her solution to my question was to tell me take it or leave it they can just cancel the order if I didnt like it.. keep in mind this was a few minutes before the order was set to be delivered and my issue had to do with where they were going to deliver the material. I understand I am 1 customer and they dont care either way but they built this company 1 customer at a time well see how long it takes for them to go out of business bylosing 1 customer at a time. the girl that hung up on me felt secure with her job and felt comfortable treating a customer rudely because this is not her first time doing it. too bad the owner does not care enough to put a stop to this. keep in mind there are other choices in town. I will never set foot at pioneer landscape materials

I had a barn built and had to order 130 tons of dirt and pioneer was there for me quickly. They were helpful, professional and easy to work with. Their drivers were awesome and did exactly what i needed. I will always use Pioneer.

You get a 5 even though you messed up order. Within an hour you sent a guy back to get wrong rocks out of here & by end of day you had the right rock here. Thanks for making it right the same day.

My husband and I have had several tons of rocks, sand, and boulders delivered over the years. All of the drivers have been great, professional, patient and willing to maneuver tough spaces. We wouldn’t go with any other company. Pioneer never disappoints.

Would give 0 stars if possible. Was told by the guy that I placed the order with there would be no problem putting the rock in the street it just cant be on the sidewalk. The driver showed up and said they cant dump in the street. I see piles of rock all over the place. I called and the manager said she contacted dispatch and was going to put it in the street. Now its in my driveway. Awesome.

Dont shop here. I bought some retaining wall blocks and it took 6 weeks to get reimbursed on a return and about 7 calls back. I was treated poorly by management. They are very poorly managed. Dealing with them was a nightmare. I was intentionally hung up on at least once.Also, I was missing one receipt as I purchased on about three occasions. They would not take back the wall blocks even with the other two receipts. Now Im stuck with retaining wall blocks I dont need.The people are rude and they dont care about the costumer.

I ordered rock to be delivered at my home. When I placed the order, I informed the sales rep that I had a new driveway and didnt want the truck to back onto it. She said that the drivers are very easy to communicate with and that I could discuss where to drop the rock when it arrived. I heard the beeping of the truck this morning so I run out to stop the driver from backing onto my new driveway. When I ask him not to back onto the driveway, he snaps at me saying I wasnt going to drive on your driveway. I then try to inform him that he could back the truck across the neighboring driveway and dump the rock directly into the front yard. He said that he wouldnt do drive onto the neighbors driveway without the neighbors consent. I then try to tell him that he can drop the rock directly in my front yard without driving on any driveway. He snaps at me again so I tell him to take the rock back. Now Pioneer has a charge on my credit card for the rock and the delivery. They say that they will reverse the rock but not the delivery because I refused delivery, but I would have taken the delivery had the driver not been unwilling to get out of his truck and discuss how to drop it. VERY RUDE DRIVER!!!!!

I wanted to share my recent experience with Pioneer on Northpark in Colorado Springs. I had a major backyard project in my head, not really sure how to put it into motion. I met April at the front desk, and for the following 3 weeks she helped me by suggesting the right material and the correct process to get the job done. This is help you couldnt get at a box store and in the end the project turned out great. I want to thank April and everyone else at Pioneer for suffering through a novices many questions. I couldnt have done it without you guys. Wonderful all the way around.

We placed an order for delivery prior to the Memorial Day Weekend, they call us the day of delivery to let us know they do not have the product. This has cost us time, labor and expenses. This is the poorest service I have experienced in Colorado Springs in 3 years, shame on them. Do not trust them!!!

I went to several stone companies to try and get stone for my fireplace. Every other place did not have most of their samples in stock. It was impossible to get anything that I liked. One store wasnt even open several times during their advertised store hours. Pioneer has everything they show in stock! It was amazing. They are super friendly and worked with me on everything. I was even able to trade out a few broken stones and exchange a couple for larger pieces. I highly recommend this store!

I went into the Northpark Dr location not really knowing what I wanted or needed for my project. The entire staff worked together to help me figure out what I needed. The Sales Staff was very helpful! Thank you guys!!

Always friendly and helpful. As a contractor I have always had great experiences at all pioneer locations.

From the moment we began our order with Pioneer, their service has been bad. Upon arriving at the office to look at landscape materials, the guy behind the desk did the least amount of work possible to help us. The next day, the delivery guy was incredibly rude. I called the customer service number to find out when he’d be back to make the second part of the delivery and again, the customer service people acted annoyed that I called them. Overall, there’s a general atmosphere that you as a customer are a nuisance to them. Not sure if it’s just this office or company wide, but if you are not a contractor or landscaper and are simply an average homeowner looking to update your yard, this is NOT the place to go. Perhaps a smaller landscape company would be a better option.

I bought about $3k in materials here this spring updating the landscaping on my house. Awesome selection and service on EVERYTHING from mulch to boulders. The main heavy equipment operator is amazing! The guy can cleanly and accurately fill your truck with material out of a heavy loader with extreme precision. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because on one of the deliveries to my house of 2-4 stone, 1.5 ton out of 7 tons of rock was actually sand. I spent an entire day sifting and cleaning the sand off of that stone and I was left with a 1.5 ton pile of sand in my driveway. After repeated phone calls to the manager over the course of 2 weeks asking them to come and get this sand (which the manager admitted was way too much sand in a load of rock and he told me he would come remove it) I just loaded my truck up one day with the sand and dumped it myself. I admit that I am a little impatient with this kind of stuff and I have to say that they did TRY to make it right by giving me about 2 tons of free stone. This also wasnt a big enough deal for me to not use Pioneer Sand in the future and I do recommend other people buy from there because the place is great for the most part.

Rotten service,,,,,no excuses. I was the only customer on the lot, mid afternoon, waited for fifteen minutes for a loader to load one freakin scoop of dirt. I will not be back to pioneer sand.

On my way to work at 5 a.m. on I-25 about a mile outside Monument Hill. One of your semi drivers tailgating me couple feet away Im doing 78 in a 75 Lane to the left of me Lane to the right of me wide open he continues to tailgate me over a mile finally passes me and yet another victim of tailgating. Then I see him weaving in and out of lanes I didnt get a trailer number

Worst customer service. I ordered a huge order of product and was told dilvery on a Wednesday. I was then called and told no we can’t do it will be Thursday then then brought the product and should of tryed a preauthoration on my debit card and would of saw it would not work and call me and say something is wrong and I would of called the bank to raise the limit and double check they had it right. I was then called Monday by the manager Krista and told they tryed my card and it didn’t work. I asked what was the total she told me and the shipping cost was double what I pay other companies. They said they knocked off what they could but never even told how much. Then back and forth with her throughout the day and calling bank to raise limit for them as I am in the middle of work I then find out they have the wrong card number they try again. They then called this morning threatening to come get product if payment was not received today I then call bank again and then they try it again and everything went through. I then say I am probably not going to use them again because of the threats when it was there fault to not preauthorize my card and then she was scared that I would not pay and she would be in trouble for not following protacal so she threatened me. That is terrible customer service and much arrogance definitely not perfessional. Would of been better to say we made a mistake and are nervous about you making payment and would like you to fix this as soon as possible for us. Then if after no response from me to send a collection notice.

Over priced and over rated. We waited over 30 minutes to recieve any assistance, and there were maybe 2 oher people in ythe yard? And all we needed was empty bags! The materials are all over-priced, and we definitley wont be returning.
