Great little game store. Friendly and looks like a nice spot to run games.Would rate 5star, but there are a couple of negatives. First, I find the store/retail area a little dark and gloomy... then again, maybe the vibe they go for?Secondly, the neighborhood is a little sketchy. The late afternoon when I visited had multiple street people in the area. Nothing against those in need, but in general I avoid that sort of stuff and would rather not have to folks asking for money when I pass. Not store problem directly (a neighborhood thing), but it affects my feelings about if I would shop around there. It matters, eh?

I work with at-risk youth, who are very much into D&D. When I started the job they very much wanted to play, and not only that, but have me be the Dungeon Master! I didnt know much of anything, and went to The Yellow King for advice. Mark was amazing in getting myself started in tips, as well as setting me up with the basics. Since then, I have been doing well in starting a campaign for my kiddos, as well as donating some items to our non-profit organization to help. I cant thank Mark enough for his help. My kids have become very engaged in the game, and I have been too! If youre a nerd looking for a home, this is the place. Not only is the store filled with unique gaming supplies, it also has a wholesome cozy felling. Support your small business, as this store really is a hidden Colorado Springs gem.

They overcharge for their product. Went there for a mtg booster box. They have it priced for $345 whereas every other store has the same booster box priced at $240-250. Will not shop here.

Great atmosphere, tons of games to choose from and plenty of space to play whatever suits you. Mark was especially helpful and his knowledge of game history helped me pick up casual games for my family and boommark some meatier games for my friends. Highly recommended!

I came here per the recommendation of my friend Dakota who said it was a great place to get magic the gathering cards. There is a great selection of new and used cards for very good prices and the man who helped us was so kind and informative. We will definitely be coming back soon

My son and I have played 5e at the Yellow King a few times. We had a great time. Like others have said, the selection is good but its the people who make it outstanding.

They were very helpful in trying to find a product for me, but didnt have what I needed. They did put in the effort though and I really appreciate what they did for me. Great customer service!

The Yellow King is a great place to go for miniature figures. There is such a wide selection, and a lot of board games as well. The owner is friendly whenever I have gone in and helpful! To be honest, it is a little dusty/ not as clean as some of the more recent stores. Im a clean freak so thats my only complaint - it is a really lovely store and we go there almost exclusively now for miniatures. Would 100% recommend.

So many times I have drove past this little game store, so one day I decided to stop in and check it out. I will say that the lack of any parking spaces was disappointing, however aside from that I was greeted by a friendly shopkeeper as well as regulars. This place has a great selection of games and character minis to choose from. As well as good prices. All and all if you happen to be in the area and are a fan of tabletop games stop in and check it out.

A great place with late hours that specializes in role playing games. Tons of table space and stuff you can buy for d&d along with a few other role-playing systems. If you go for d&d then you are in luck! There are a ton of people playing. If you are there for any other rpg then you may have to put together the group yourself.

The selection is nice and diverse and the staff is nice in a casual atmosphere. The downfall is the markup on items. Great place to play. Owner is awesome. Very friendly and willing to help. Just make sure not to park in the lot behind the place, car can be towed. Otherwise, enough place to play, lots of options and a blast.

Huge selection of merchandise... The absolute place to go in springs for anything card game/board game/comicbook related. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable and they encourage people of all ages and skill levels to chill and hang out.... Card Games and tournaments happen almost daily... Overall one of my favorites places in Colorado Springs to spend an afternoon as long as I have plenty of time... Because I get lost in this store for hours... Its indescribable how easy a person can get lost in the fantasy of their choice while inside this store.

This is a hidden gem of a game shop in town. There is a wide variety of merchandise to check out, from D&D style playbooks to miniatures for a variety of series, board games to cards, and dice galore. There are even game nights for those interested in hanging out and getting into a good new board game or even trying out a D&D session with the regulars. Any game enthusiasts should definitely drop by and check this place out with in the Springs.

Quiet and friendly, usually find something that will catch my eye and I have to have. Game players are nice and always willing to chat you up about common interests.

Amazing game store. Smaller, but has just about all you could want. Owner is incredible and the game nights are a lot of fun. D&D nights are put on extremely well here.

Didnt have really any mtg cards (singles) and few packs. Events are alright. Its a bit cramped for my liking.. But the players were friendly and the owner was chill, so an average rating. Not great, not terrible. Middle of the pack.

This place is great! They have a solid croud that is very open to new players if you want to get into dnd and have not played before. They even have a kids game night too! You sign up for game beforehand on their facebook page. A big magic the gathering croud too, however I dont play myself.

Great little hub for gaming. This place is in the middle of the city, not too far from anywhere else. The main game here is Magic Th Gathering, and people are almost always down to play. Other games also have a strong place in the store. Android: Netrunner, Legend Of The Five Rings, Heroclix, D&D and lots of different board games get played here regularly too.Cant go wrong.

The Yellow King has a good, friendly gaming group for a variety of games. They play Legend of the Five Rings, Magic the Gathering, Netrunner, and X-Wing Miniatures with a friendly yet competitive player base, and also have a small, dedicated casual playerbase for Warmachine/Hordes and Warhammer 40k. They also boast one of the largest D&D Advemturers League groups in the state, running about 10-12 tables a week.Product-wise, they primarily sell Board Games, Card Games, and Roleplaying Games. They have a good sized stock of X-Wing and a decent stock of Warmachine/Hordes, but youll likely need to put in a special order for some items.

A great selection, a welcoming community, and with an owner who definitely knows his stuff, The Yellow King is definitely the place where I can feel right at home.

I went to an MLP CCG (My Little Pony Collectible Card Game) pre-release event there for the new Defenders Of Equestria set with my best friend, and had an absolute blast! XDGot at least 11 booster packs from the new set, opened a few Rares and Super Rares, played in a sealed tournament (my first ever) and won 6th! Got a free pack from that AND I frequently got called up for door prizes, including promotional foil cards, and one of those god packs of MLP with nothing but foil Ultra-Rares, Super Rares, and a Royal Rare!AND on top of all that, I met some great guys I started to meetup weekly with there with to learn and improve my game so I can get into it competitively! :DToo long didnt read: Fantastic store, fantastic selection of goodies, very friendly, and met fellow fans of the My Little Pony Collectible Card Game willing to teach me how to play better competitively. :3
