We first discovered this place when we showed up for an adoption fair that Wild Blue Cats held here one weekend. Came back to try their food. We love the battered fries and milkshakes the most. Great atmosphere and reasonably priced. Definitely will be back.

I get so bloody tired of eating corporately prescribed and managed fast food. It has neither taste nor character. So today, I went to this Tasty-freeze--one of the original Tasty-freeze locations from the fifties, that did not get swept up with the corporate franchise movement. And I did not make a mistake. The service was provided by the new owners, a husband-and-wife team, and everything was fresh. Their single burger is a quarter pound slab of meat with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and onions, and that original Tasty-freeze sauce. I got cheese on mine for an extra 50cents. Also, since I ordered a combo mine came with hot fresh French Fries and a medium drink. I dont eat this way often, but it is worth it, once in a while, just to re-acquaint oneself with why American fast food became popular in the first place! At least five clean picnic tables out back and to the side under an awning makes for comfortable eating, even on a 92-degree summer day like today.

I love putting my $ back into small community owned spots whenever possible and these guys make it easy. Just as good as Dairy Queen or anything else like that with quick friendly service. Ive been coming here since high school, almost 30 years ago and theyve been consistently great through the years.

We absolutely love the Tasty Freeze. The food is so good. You never know what to expect at a little ice cream place for food, but every time we have gone it is next level delish! Yesterday we went for the Car Show and Concert benefit day, and the entire family had a blast. It was like going back in time with all the old cars and cool music. Highly recommend. I would give 10 stars if I could. The owners are wonderful people. Support this local business when you can.

My First Time Here And I Loved It. Nothing Fancy, Pure Nostalgia. From The Music They Play To The Soft Serv Ice Cream, To The Delicious Looking Hamburger The Guy At The Next Table Was Eating. Im Hooked ❤

Love the softserve cone dip! I had chocolate ice cream with a butterscotch dip. I didnt have any burgers or the fried food. I was with a group of cyclists finishing up a ride. They have a place to park your bike and I believe also air if you need a pump up. I live out in Falcon but the next time Im in the area around lunch or supper time, Im planning to try the food. They have a nice area to sit outside to eat (no inside dining) and enough parking for how small the place is. And I believe they have a bathroom as well.

This is a small, little ice cream place with tons to offer! Theyve got different sizes, styles, flavors and combinations of ice cream, toppings, sorbets, and more! They have outdoor seating only, each table with an umbrella and/or a covering in case of bad weather. The staff are nice, and quick with making your delicious treat.

Love this neighborhood ice cream hangout. Its my go to place when I have a craving. I drive 10 miles to get my brownie flurry! 🍧

A fun festive atmosphere, a local singer/songwriter with antique cars on display (not a daily occurrence). The food is pure nostalgia too. Soft serve treats and grilled burgers and hotdogs. A perfect summer Saturday afternoon.

Great long time locally owned ice cream shop with outdoor seating along a bike path in a neighborhood. Very nostalgic and always a summer time must do for the family.

The hours on Google are incorrect. They close at 8pm every night. We waited there for a few minutes with employees ignoring us until we realized they were closed. Its not too difficult for a company to update their hours... Multiple others seemed to do the same thing this night.

YUMMY! My family love this little jem tucked away in the heart of the Springs. They are an old fashioned, 1950s, soft serve ice cream drive-up. They serve food like chili dogs and fries, but most people go for the soft serve. Their prices are not too expensive. The atmosphere is nice, quiet, and family friendly. Really a great place to go on a summer night.

My Bad!!!Forgot about the great outdoor seating there & the great music that plays while your in line and then when you get your order and are sitting and/or standing enjoying it.They have a mini live music event on Thursdays I believe (double check that day) that is fabulous! Its live music right!So, so, so much fun. It takes you back to when Colorado Springs was the REAL Colorado Springs (and those of you that have been here long enough to know what Im talking about know EXACTLY what Im talking about), a simpler time when living life was easier! It allows you to enjoy the time you dictate being there to take you back to whatever memory you have that makes your ❤️ smile and inspite of eating their fabulous Drive-In style ice cream et al & food its the serene atmosphere of Drive-in Tasty Freeze that takes your BP down a few notches and allows you to walk away thinking to yourself, Im Glad I Came.😘😘😘 Thank You Drive-in Tasty Freeze!

Apparently the guy doing the cones doesnt know the difference between a large and a medium. we ordered a large and a medium and they turned out to be the same size, but I paid extra for a large.

Tasty Freeze is the Old North End neighborhood drive-in that has been around since the 1950s and still serves up the BEST soft serve ice cream, hamburgers, hot dogs, fried pickles, and other summer favorites.Totally worth a visit and a trip into some nostalgia for some folks. Theyre only open during the summer months so, once it gets too cold, youll have to wait until they open again next year!

By far my favorite place to get icecream. The staff is so sweet, and they’re super dog-friendly. They have a great atmosphere and a shaded area to sit and enjoy your meal. All of the great vibes of a small business with none of the compromise because their food and icecream are amazing. Would recommend 10/10.

We got two large shakes and an order of mozzarella sticks that majority didnt have cheese. It costed 25 dollars. We wont be going back. I gave two stars because the shakes were good at least. I suggest bj velvet freeze off of union and palmer park. They were too busy so we thought we would give this place a try. I should have waited in line. Plus the large at bjs offers way more for your buck.

I love this place. However, on my last visit they had a live concert outside, and none of the customers were respecting the mask law or any social distancing. It was a gathering of at least 100 people. They were facilitating these actions with their choice to host a live show.

The people here are really nice, and the ice cream is good. Although the building is aging, they do a good job of keeping it maintained. It aint perfect, but the ice cream makes up for it! I will go here again and again. :-)

Tasty Freeze is a locally owned ice cream and fast food joint. The ice cream is very good. There is always a long line every night around closing time. The sandwiches are good as well. Not bad for a quick meal. Bur comw for the ice cream. You wont regret it.

Sorry to say this but the best part of the experience here was the milkshake. That Frito pie was cold. That chicken and eggo waffle sorry but that was greasier than an oil spill. The two girls upfront good job on the milshakes.

I am an avid bicycler and the location right on shooks run trail near the intersection of rock island trail is perfect. Im also a retired cook and I think that their $5 burger is the best deal in town. You can get cheaper burgers that are not as good AND better burgers that cost more. But these people got their stuff together! I love going here in the afternoon right after a long ride on my way home. AND the outdoor seating is great in the SPRINGS area like 90% of the time, due to the great weather here!

Have loved this place since I was a kid. Great for everyone no matter how old or young. Great for animals. Great friendly professional fast service. You can walk right from the trail just all out awesome place.
