This location is always well stocked. They have plenty of clean shopping carts at the front. The staff has always been friendly. The lines dont take long to check out. You can find good deals from time to time. They do a good job with social distancing too

Update - 8/2021: After reaching out to Target directly this seems to be resolved (for now, at least) and I can park my bike using the bike racks.Lately, Ive been having issues trying to park my bike here. Dozens upon dozens of shopping carts were being parked in between each of the provided bike racks. A few here or there isnt a problem, but several dozen? Come on. I guess no one told the staff people do actually ride their bike to Target...This store (#1923) is good, but not exceptional. Its easily the busiest in the area, and things go out of stock or are not carried here compared to other stores. Staff are friendly, the store itself is a bit more organized and clean than it used to be a couple of years ago. I also do drive-up orders pretty often, I can get my order quickly and it is accurate. Once or twice I have gone in to find items on the shelf the website said were in stock but couldnt be located by the shopper. I still prefer #1199 (Columbia NW, in Harbison) because its so well organized, clean, and well-stocked, but its hard to beat how convenient the Garners Ferry location is.

My husband loves Target! It’s close to where we live and clean, lately the customer service has been horrible (about as bad as Walmart). The only reason it’s getting a 3 is because of Ms. Karen, she saw my husband needed assistance and helped him find the items he was looking for. Before this he had asked multiple Target employees and was not assisted, this is not the first time this has happened. Please do better! I understand the the pandemic has taken a toll on everyone, but find some joy in the fact you have employment. Target make sure you are doing your part in supporting your employees so they are happy and feel safe in coming to work! Happy employees equal happy customer experiences!

This target is so AHHH!! When I first went I was shocked with their hospitality I’m pretty sure I was asked how my day was over 50 times! They are always in stock and stay updated with clothes and etc. they are super organized if there is ever something lying around they are quick to pick it up and organize it correctly. This is probably one of the best targets I’ve been too :)

I like the fact that you continue to clean carts I would have like you to continue mask mandate. The store always clean. For me I use CVS pharmacy inside my Target and it works out great. I can pickup items I need while picking up my prescriptions at the same time. For me its a win win.

I was there this past weekend. The handsome guy in the blue shirt was very respectful and understanding. However, I am tired of explaining to the Target associates that I have a medical condition I CANNOT wear a mask every time I go there. It’s crazy how some of the associates there has tested positive for COVID-19, the store is still open, self-check isn’t being disinfected like it use to despite the amount of people who uses it, and y’all are worried about me wearing a mask.

Every single employee we came in to contact with was so nice last night when we came in to Target pretty late to do some Christmas shopping and we had our 4 year old son with us. Makes it a little difficult to get him gifts without him seeing, but we dont really have many opportunities to go places without him so we devised a plan to grab an extra cart and hide his present under our coats in the shopping cart. When we got to the self check-out, one of the attendants was so nice and I think realized what we were trying to do and once the toy was scanned she took the cart around the corner and put the giant toy into big target bags to help us hide it a little better for when we had to put it in our car. When we were leaving two employees says goodbye to us and have a good night. When we got to our car a manager or security staff ( I couldnt tell) offered to take our carts for us. I know everyone that has to work retail during the holidays has to endure a whole lot and I was pleasantly surprised we werent just ignored during our shopping trip as Im sure most of these employees were about to clock out for the night. Our favorite Target for sure! 😁👍

It was extremely easy to get in and out of the store quickly. There was a store associate located near the entrance that I came in, who very politely directed me to the area that had the item I needed. The social distancing markers were well placed and easy to view. The most impressive aspect was the number of open registers. With Covid-19 numbers skyrocketing, its so important to me that my time in public spaces remain as limited as possible. Im grateful that your store manages to allow me to shop and feel safe.

I catch myself coming here every time I visit my Son. Located in a shopping center also offering Cost Plus & Bed, Bath & Beyond, this Target stays busy.In addition to in-store shopping, this location offers Curbside pickup, Delivery, in-store pick up & same day delivery (depending on location/inventory).The accessibility effort is great with separate entrances & numerous parking spots. Restrooms are well kept with the over all store being in good condition.To my surprise, some of the essentials items were in stock due to the signage limiting quantities & the employees kindly reinforcing the protocols. Ill highlight the return process as its such a plus not having to present your bank card...it follows the form of payment on the receipt.To the stores associates, regardless of their department, they are very much uber friendly & helpful. Especially at Self Check out, theyre such happy employees going out of their way to lend a helping hand to their customers.It was good to see all the employees wearing the necessary covering to safeguard the customers.

This is my local Target, so I visit it most frequently. It is not my favorite in Columbia though. The staff in general are particularly rude for what I’ve come accustomed to when shopping at Targets around the states.I almost never can order popcorn and other snacks during normal business hours because the staff that should be there are never there. I usually give up after waiting for 10+ minutes and managers can’t track them down either. However I do feel that a manager should be able to quickly jump back there and serve the few customers they get, so I’m confused as to why they don’t.They’re usually well stocked and organized, however the baby and shoe section are always terrible. Does no one work in those departments? Tons of missing/stolen items in packs. Those sections look like a group of toddlers literally went in and threw everything around. Which very well could be the case, but the store should keep a better eye on those sections if they notice they need more attention. I don’t think I’ve ever been in those sections and seen it not look atrocious.I do see longer wait times in lines here than other Targets, so that’s another of the reasons why I can’t give this location a better review.I do hope they’ll make this store require the same level of quality as the other stores because it does become quite annoying.

I am accustomed to great service and returns from Target. As a new mom, this is why I constantly use their online ordering. I am still shocked at the poor service I received at this Target location today. I ordered two Google Home Nest Hubs online, and didn’t like the size so I came to return them 3 days after they arrived. The ladies in the returns section refused to refund my credit card and kept explaining to me how the numbers on the box didn’t match the numbers on my receipt so they wouldn’t give me my money back and they would not help me any further. I order from Target online rather than Amazon specifically because they make returns easy and I won’t be doing that anymore now. I received a real “not my problem” attitude from the employees here.

Excellent customer service and quality products available across all departments. I am so thankful this Target is so close to my house. Management is always available, there’s a sense of team work, and employees are courteous and friendly. Plus there’s the bonus of Panera’s and Hickory Tavern in the same parking lot. Eat there and then shop at Target!

Love this store. I am a red card holder. I enjoy the perks it brings. We love the new brands they have started carrying. The store is always clean. Target online ordering with in-store pick-up is great! Quick easy in and out without much fuss. The checkout line was all the way to the pet department, but I was able to walk up to customer service show my ID and walk out with my ordered school supplies.

The guest services line took too long, there was a cashier behind the counter but she was working on something else instead of helping customers in line. When another cashier got free, she had to go get another target employee because someone had called to talk to her. And then, once I get up there, she cant find my package so she came back out to look at the reference number again, and then found it. It took about fifteen minutes overall, which was about ten minutes longer than if I had just gone in, gotten the items myself, and then done self-checkout.

This is my favorite location out of all the Columbia stores. I may be biased since I worked here previously for 3 years but even as a now “guest”, I am always satisfied after my Target run. Since it’s the largest store locally, there’s a wide array of products in EVERY area. Even products I can never find at other locations.

I visited this Target for the first time on yesterday. I stood in the customer service line for 10 mins while waiting in this line I asked an employee named Paulette who was standing there with a few other women if she had a scanner that could possibly help me find an item so that I could be ready once I got to the register to exchange an item. She quickly said that she did not and that she was not able to help me find that item, and instead told me to go down to look in a particular area and if any are in the store than it should be there. Basically I did not receive any help from her NOT great customer service. Mind you she was doing absolutely nothing when I was there besides just standing not putting away items she wasnt even at the register but only standing in the middle of the store. I did just what she asked of me I went and looked in that particular area the item was not in the area I had to go to a different side I was not able to find the item that I was looking for. I knew that item had to be there because another Target told me that it was at that location. This caused me to lose my place in line as well as time wasted. Once I got to the register a young lady by the name of Quinn assisted me very well. She is the reason I even gave this location the 4stars. Other than that I would have rated it a 1. The young lady Quinn went above and beyond to assist me she went on the floor to look for the item, she found someone to see if that particular item could be located somewhere else, by the time she got back she keyed in something and realized the item was in the back on clearance. Quinn left her station again to go grab the item and came back with the correct item for me. She was very helpful, friendly and she had great customer service skills! Kudos to Quinn.

I went here on Christmas Eve and the cashier, who was a manager in training, was extremely rude and impatient. I get that it is crowded, but that doesnt mean common decency goes out of the window. She was rushing my mother as she was checking the prices as the itema were rung up. She brushed my mother off when she asked a question and gave her a wrong answer. It was as if we were inconveniencing her life. The cashier had a bad attitude and spoke very rudely to my mother. Id rather drive farther and go to the other Target.

Even though this Target is a little less well kept than most, I still enjoy shopping there. EXCEPT for produce; I just bought some baby carrots packaged in a bag and when I got home and opened them they had ALREADY gone slimy. Their produce section is pretty terrible, but thats normal for Columbia, SC. Ive heard you have to go to a fancy grocery like Whole Foods or Rosewood Market or a farmers market to get good produce.

I used to love to come to this store. Shopped there all the time. Then they gave away my credit card info in a huge data breach so I stopped.Recently I decided to try again. I get their sale papers —full of great deals on things I use. So I make the drive, one..two...three different times to find the shelves empty. And no one stocking or to ask if any of the items are available.I get the idea that they only restock when a vendor comes to do the work.So. Another trip wasted. But it will be the last.

Normally, Id recommend Target, but this store had THE WORST customer service Ive ever seen at a Target... No one could be bothered to help me at self-checkout when my redcard wouldnt scan. Once I made eye contact with someone to ask for help, she delegated to someone else. This second associate came over, entered her number, and walked off. When I told her I was having issues with my it taking my redcard, she said it wouldnt happen again with her back turned to me as she walked away. She refused to stick around to listen to me, let alone actually do something to help.Well, it DID happen again. I was not able to get my redcard to work, but at this point, the associate had already run away. Not impressed with the employees at this location at all.UPDATE: After filling out an internal Target email survey, Sara, the Manager from this location reached out to discuss my situation. She said she would review the security tapes and work on the internal training for helping customers at the self-checkout. I really appreciate the time she took to reach out. Perhaps this poor experience was just a one off.

The Driveup experience was very frustrating! Judy told me repeatedly that this option is not available after 10 PM as if I would know this since the option was not disabled on the app. It would be helpful if it was or if they had a sign. She was not friendly and looked angry as if I were a bother.

The company embraces individuality and allows their employees to be themselves at work without a stifling dress code which I feel contributes to the great shopping experience.
