Really nice service! I came in there to find Pride and Prejudice but it was difficult to find it. The staff member left his station and helped me look for it. He was so so nice. I later told him not bother anymore because I plan on coming another time to look for that book. Great service! Totally recommend. Lots of books are in good shape and organized by genre.

IMO, prices for old used paperbacks are way too high. Most used book stores offer discounts in the form of fractions of original MSRP, here they charged dollars more than that. But nice shop. Small, hard to move around people.

I recently checked out this little bookstore! The people that work here are lovely, and it has loads and loads of books (personally for me are a bit outdated/ did not find very much of my taste)Due to the massive amount of books, I can see it being a little overwhelming for some so be aware.I did find a little empty journal (needed one) and a book on zero waste (surprised to see one).They have cds and dvds as well!On their website I think it also says they buy books .If you have the time, this place is worth a visit!

This used bookstore was recommended to me by another book-loving friend. I called before I went, to find out their policy about trading in books. The owner answered all my questions and told me they were open until 8 (on Saturdays) but that I needed to arrive before 5 to have my books valued. I live in Glen Burnie and the bookstore is in Columbia. I arrived around 2, and the other owner helped me right away. I got a very fair amount of credit for the books she took (about 25% of the books I brought). I bought a one-year membership for $10, and with the discounts I got in return, I got more than my moneys worth just from my initial purchase. Their inventory is big enough that I spent about 5 hours browsing. I bought 21 books and 23 Blu-ray movies. With the credit for the books I brought in, I spent only $106, including tax. I dont give 5-star ratings often, but this bookstore deserves all 5 stars.

They have a little bit of everything here. Can be a bit unorganized but they seems to do the best they can categorizing things. Nice place to come browse bc you never know what youre gonna find.

We stopped in after eating nearby. Had about 30 minutes to kill until our movie started.Honestly, I didnt want to go in because I wasnt in a bookstore kind of mood.Started asking for all kinds of random things figuring they wouldnt have them.. But they did. I was extremely impressed with the customer service here!Not sure if I talked to the owner or not, but she was such an warm, energetic person. We would up chatting while the bf hunted through the music section.Second Edition Books has a great selection of books and records. They even had a section of new coloring books and journals.Bf ended up buying records and I left wanting more.Love this place!They seem to have a little of everything and Im definitely looking forward to coming back and exploring a bit more.

Wonderfully organized. Hard to find used bookstores that organize books by author and keep it all clean! Staff was friendly and directed me to the category of books I was looking for. There are a few toys in the kids section for entertainment. Cute little nook.

I don’t go to book stores to be rushed, cramped, or judged. More than once during visiting this store that’s how I’ve left feeling. Nice selection but it’s tough to move around, to communicate with staff and to just enjoy the experience. I love bin digging, surfing shelves for good finds, but there’s so many other shops with a better and more inviting appeal to visit.

This is a great place to come in and browse. Its definitely worth it to get a membership for the discount that gets you when buying 3-5 items. They have a hefty and eclectic selection of vinyl, CDs, DVDs, and even some cassettes, as well as books, comics and some video games.

This might be a good place to buy books, but take your used books that you want to sell someplace else. I brought in books and blue ray videos for which I received a dollar or less for each. I found out after I left the store that I could have sold them for much more at other used book stores, or if I had sold them online. For instance one book I could have received $10 for from another dealer, or I could have sold it myself on Amazon for $26. Long story short, if youre buying books, this might be a good place to shop for used books, but this is not the place to sell them.

The store has a okay selection of recent books and movies. However I find the owner of the place to be very rude. His attitude makes me want to avoid the store. The rest of the staff Are very nice. However the chance of running into his attitude just makes it not worth the bother. Its not what he says. But the way he does it. I would rather travel 68 miles to a store in another state.

I went into Second Edition Books today. I walked away with a stack of very well-conditioned used books. I became a member and walked away with two freebies from my pile. I did end up going to that second book store... but they didnt have the broad and deep selection as Second Edition Books. Now that I have a membership, I will defiantly bring my wife and begin to look into their collection of DVDs. A+. A Howard County Find.

I cant say enough good things about this little gem. It had any and all books I was looking for and I love Nancy Drew and Agatha Christie and they had lots of both! And Agatha is hard to find these days. They also mail books to you via media mail if you are out of town which I loved when we came down for a visit. The people working were nice and chatty and smiled and seemed genuinely happy to be there.

Love coming here! Lots of fun things to look at and buy. My wife and I went here to find books that we are missing from our collection. Most prices are inexpensive, unless its a super popular book, then it will be a discounted price but not as much as the rest of the lot. The staff is very knowledgeable and very nice. They have a great sci-fi and fantasy collection.

Cool staff, and nice store but be aware you wont get allot of money for your records if your trying to sell them. I sold 30 records including many Frank Santanas for $35 which in all honesty is not allot. SO SELLERS keep that in mind. They are after all a business and like any other are looking to make a profit. But I will be fare in saying from a buyers perspective they have a ton of cool stuff at this place. Hence the three star review but again if your looking to make a decent amount of money by selling books and records Id recommend looking elsewhere.

One of two book stores in my area that I have become a regular at. Whatever the other lacks, Second Edition more often than not will have. A good selection of generally up to date titles, which is important when youre a reader of politics and history as these books can age quickly upon publication. Books are always in very good condition, not a lot of roughed up or poor quality copies. A fairly small storefront but I have always walked out with a handful of titles. Pricing is generally at or just below half of cover price on most items Ive purchased, and their trade credit offers have been consistently fair and reasonable on the times I have brought items to them. The staff are always outgoing and friendly and extremely appreciative whenever someone stops in. A wonderful little gem of a store. Highly recommended.

This is a great store with a friendly staff. I always find something here that I want. They have a wide selection of books, CDs, and movies. They also have some records as well. Plus, if you have stuff you want to trade in, you can bring it to them. If they find something they could use, they will offer you money or store credit. I recommend taking the store credit.

Love this place they are so helpful and kind. Run by locals. Great prices. All the movies i have picked up have been in great condition! I go to rummage sometimes or i go with a distinct movie book or CD in mind. If you dont go to rummage ask the staff if they have it dont try to find it yourself you will come out of there with 20more books!

Top shelf second hand media. This little hole in the wall has a wide variety of books, CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray, and vinyl. The place is packed with books, so its good to come with plenty of time to browse the shelves. There is a childrens section with teen books as well and plenty of toys to keep little kids entertained.The buy back value is not terribly high, but that means that prices are more than reasonable. If youre looking for anything particular, ask an employee and leave your info. They have more stock off site and a good working knowledge of what they might have.If youre planning on being a repeat customer, the membership is also worth it. Youll get a discount and free items based on what youre buying.Overall, this is a great shop and one I wish Id visited more frequently before!

They did not offer a good trade-in price for the really good books I had. In my opinion while browsing, Id say the prices(at this Columbia store) were too steep for used books.

This is one of my favorite used book stores. Membership pays for itself if you buy more than a handful of books per year, and I have yet to be disappointed with the selection. Books literally overflow from every shelf, so expect to spend your visit digging through piles of books in search of buried treasures! Overall, definitely an experience I would recommend!

Rare gem in the heart of Columbia. I didnt think book stores like this existed anymore. I took my kids and found a great kids section that was floor to ceiling books!!!

Fantastic store! Eclectic and very well organized selection with friendly and knowledgable staff. I live in Baltimore but Ill generally make a special trip to Columbia once a month to peruse the new literature. I cannot reccomend this store enough; definitely worth a visit if youre in the area!

Great store! The customer service was literally unlike anything Ive ever experienced at this type of shop! Superb! The trade in value on vinyls was low got an awesome deal in Catonsville. Which was the only reason I went but totally glad I did!

This store is a book lovers dream come true: books stuffed into every nook and cranny. Strong showings in genre fiction, childrens books, and nonfiction; not as much general fiction as Id like. But thats a very minor nit.

Staff was so rude. The girl working was too busy playing on her phone and the guy was so pretentious. When I noticed that I was being charged over ten dollars for a used book that should have been half that, he became super annoyed when I wanted him to fix the price to what it was supposed to be. Dont say its half list price then charge me list price for a clearly used book. And I dont appreciate being mocked for my taste in books. I didnt mock your stupid hipster taste but maybe I should have.

Called for a classic book on history and after going to B&N and them not knowing a thing about it but read me off a screen that was incorrect and so Igave up and started looking elsewhere. The guy I spoke to knew immediately the book and found a copy for me. When I went to pick it up he had found a hardback copy too and gave me a choice. Great ending to a very frustrating search!

This is such a neat place to look for used books, cds and dvds. They have so much you need to allow time to really look. If you are looking for something specific they know what they have and will help you find it. They also will take your info and call or email you when they get something you are looking for. Great place and parking is good.

We never walk out empty-handed. The prices are fair and reasonable. The selection is outstanding and theres always something new. Mostly used books, but many in remarkably like-new condition, and sometimes new releases. Their membership card is worth it -- buy 3, get the 4th free plus 10 percent off. In a world of too few bookstores, this place is a gem.
