Incredibly nice and knowledgeable staff! Will definitelybe back!
Great experience ordered a part and the staff called me quick to let me know it had arrived
These folks are great. True experts that have the patience to deal with the homeowner/DIY person. I imagine the bulk of their business is to professional landscapers and arborists, etc but when I called about my chainsaw issues for my basic project at my home, they took the time to answer all of my questions and go in depth to tell me the why and what to do, what to not do, etc. I believe it was Mike that I spoke with, but he was courteous, patient and just genuinely tried to help and didnt try to sell me a thing, even though he could have. Yes you might save a little shopping online or going to a big box home improvement store, but youll never get the expertise and service with a business like this. Support your local guys and give them a shout.
Customer service is excellent, I go to places I trust. Dukes being one of them. Every time I come in everyone knows my name and lawn mower I bring in. most times I even get the piece of equipment back the same day.
People have tough times! If you need a job y’all go help dukes out.
Have been doing business with dukes for years. Very trustworthy and honest people
Thank you Brian for taking a final look for the small tire I just purchased.Much appreciated! ;)#SupportSmallBusiness
After reading these reviews Ive decided to take my business elsewhere as should anyone looking to be treated with respect
My boss live this place and the guys that work there are nice guys
Good repair
The older gentleman who works there was very rude when I dropped off, and when I picked up my lawnmower. He made snide jokes about why the equipment needed to be repaired. The younger, bearded gentleman was polite.None of the employees were wearing masks either of the times I visited.
Everyone in here is great except this one guy. He argued with me for 10 minutes when I first bought a replacement chain for my Stihl MS271 Farm Boss and had a very condescending attitude. I told him I needed a twenty inch chain and he told me Stihl doesnt make a Farm Boss that comes stock with a twenty inch chain. I also had the pleasure of learning that hed been working on Stihl equipment for years and how he knew way more than me. So after having the bad experience talking to him, I just went with the 18 inch. Guess what? I needed a twenty all along like I said. So today I tried to return it. Again, same guy, very condescending. He asked me if I had the old chain to match so I can get the right one this time. I told him that I bought the right one from somewhere else. He then told me I couldnt return without a receipt and that he couldnt find it with the card I used to pay with. So I go to leave and someone else stops me and said theyd help me no problem. While processing the return hes just sitting mumbling under his breath the whole time.Maybe this guy is a wizard when it comes to fixing small engines or something but he should not be the first person customers interact with. Its a shame too. Youngs Hardware closed and I was looking for a replacement Stihl dealer in the area. Im always replacing chains as I cut tons of firewood each year. Id rather order offline or drive to Charlotte than come back here and deal with that guy.
Bought a Ferris mower here and the support has been great. The staff is very knowledgeable and they are always ready to help. They can fix any mower that you have and they don’t rip you off.
These folks are very knowledgeable and go the extra mile to help you. They have a good selection of equipment. We will continue to give them our business.
I dropped off a weedeater and a Chain saw at the same time. Gpt both back within 2 weeks at a reasonable price. Both work great now. Mostly carburetor issues.
I took my lawnmower to have it tuned up.After getting it back tried to use it but it wouldnt start. I took it back up there and after a couple of days they said it was ready. They charged me for the part. After retuning home i attended to use it but after it ran for 10mins it shut off and would not start. I called them and told them what happened and said i was bringing it back right now. When i arrived I was met with one of the owners accusing me of putting ethanol fuel in my lawnmower. And with a rude load voice. I tried to assure him that I never use but ethanol free. He continued calling me a liar grabbed money from the register told me to get out and dont come back. Ive pushed this business to my friends but no more. They live in their own little world and could careless about the time and aggravation theyve caused you.
Ive only been here once so far but they did a great job on my mower and I felt like what they charged me was perfectly reasonable. The mower quit running due to water in the tank and they tuned it up as well, Im getting ready to take it in again for the same service but it ran for three years and I cant say that Ive taken the best care of it so I have been really impressed at the level of mechanical proficiency they provide. Their customer service does leave a little to be desired, but that can be overlooked in this case I think.
Best place in Columbia area to get all of your power equipment, weather purchasing or need repairs Mark and his staff are top shelf professionals
Ordered a carberator for a tiller. Easy and painless process and it came in 2 days later. Will order small engine parts from again. Everyone is nice and they even looked in there junk pile to seem if they had an air filter housing that might fit my tiller.
Great customer service! Knows the products very well and takes care of the customer on an individual basis. You wont find a more helpful staff anywhere in Columbia.I called and needed a last minute propane fill up and the owner stood in the rain to top of two tanks for me. And smiled while doing it! I wont go anywhere else for my equipment.
I have to admit I was mad with Dukes Equipment. However Mr. Duke and I worked out our issues and Im pleased to say Im back a happy customer with this company. Communication is key with any business dealings. I will purchase from Dukes again.
That gentlemen at the counter was rerrible. Havd him my number 3 times. He insisted on. Using a number I called from someone elses line. Thus, not being able to look up my order. Creating a long and extensive search. To get yelled at by another older man. Smh
Do not take your equipment to these people. I took my riding lawn mower to them 8 months ago and paid $321 dollars for new blades, oil change and new belts. Now my NEW BELTS have gone bad and they want cover it. Only 30 day warranty, what a joke. These people are a rip-off do not waste your money there . Im not the only one, read their reviews
Not sure how they sharpen chain saw chains, but they destroyed the teeth on the chain both times I took my saw to them. In both instances, the saw was more dull than when I took it in. They used to be good at that service. Ill sharpen the saw myself from now on.
Great place great peaple
Great insight on the Walker mower. Thanks, Brian
Walker parts
Hard to get in and out. Small shop without many products to look at. Salesman said nothing as I entered or left.
The team at Dukes equipment truly care about you want to do everything that they can to help you and solve your problem.
Been in here several times. the staff are knowledgeable and helpful.
Fixed the mower right away and for the amount they estimated.
Ok
