Hall Lane was very responsive to my requests for estimates, both online and face-to-face. Setting the move date and scheduling it was easy. Price was reasonable. The three-man team that handled my move was pleasant, helpful, listened to my requests and questions, and handled my belongings and homes with care. A small metal bar from a rack came loose, no fault of movers, and must have rolled to an unseen area of truck. I called a few days later when i missed it. One of the 3 men found it and brought it to my new home. That is service! And, the office followed up as well.

The movers of Hall Lane Moving Company were very professional and kind. We would’ve preferred that they had shoe booties/ protection on when they moved our stuff to our new apartment. But otherwise they were fine. We were concerned that some of them were carrying a lot of heavy stuff without protections for their backs. A moving company that has been in business for 40 years should have a lot of safety protections (back braces, etc) for the bodies of their workers. We plan to use Hall Lane again, if we ever move. We also plan to recommend the company to our friends.

It takes several things to have a move go smoothly and Hall Lane was able to do it. People in the office responded very quickly, and were able to answer my questions. Packing and moving day went extremely well and the crew were professional, courteous and very efficient. Part of the move was local from a relative’s apartment to our home in CT and the same movers were the ones who came to our house the next day. They were fabulous!

We used Hall Lane Moving and North American Van lines to move from one state to another during summer 2021. If I could give them zero stars I would. The whole experience was a nightmare from start to finish. They misinformed us on how long the move would take. We were told it would only take a few days. Of course, the contract showed a wider range of delivery days, but it was a formality, according to a salesperson. We ended up waiting for our belongings for close to two weeks, stranded in the hotel with two small children. Moreover, all this time Hall Lane had no idea where our belongings were!!! They promised to reimburse us for additional expenses that we incurred because of the delay. Never happened. They only paid a min delay fee. Find another moving company.

Dave, Sean and Rog did a fantastic job from pick up to delivery. They are very professional and easy to work with. They arrived on the time I was given and went to work immediately. Hall Lane made our moving experience go from potentially very negative to very positive. We were in contact with another moving company first and there couldnt be more contrast between the two. The first company gave us a low quote, but then started adding in a bunch of fees for things that they had not told us about. They wouldnt present us with a concrete estimate and wouldnt give us a contract, instead telling us theyll have us sign when they show up on the day of the move, which took several calls and unanswered emails to even get schedule. They wouldnt provide a certificate of insurance to our co-op without an additional fee, which was the final straw. We called Hall Lane and they gave us a written estimate, pricing for any additional services we may need, provided the COI and scheduled the move date all within 24 hours. They sent us a contract, requested a fully refundable deposit and displayed complete professionalism throughout the process. The crew showed up on time and were efficient. Hall Lane will be my first call next time I need a moving service.

A small sized move from a NYC apartment to a farm in GA. Both ends required a smaller truck, so there were three loads and unloads involved. Many more chances for loss and damage. In the end it was the best cross state move I have had in 40 years of moving. Nothing lost or broken. We used Hall Lane to move recently and are very happy that the movers were efficient and careful. None of out items were damaged. We had them twice because on the first day they moved all our items to our new garage and basement so we can redo the floors in our home. They came back when the floors were done to get our items in the right rooms. The furniture was built correctly and they moved things several times to place it where I wanted it. Oh my gosh! Three wonderful gentlemen moved my “worldly possessions” from Florida to Long Island, NY. Our move with Hall Lane worked out extremely well. They showed up on time as scheduled - and in the snow. We had three workers (which matters) including a lead for us to deal with. Rich Schultz has an incredible crew . My furnishings were treated with such care and both sides of the move were done in a precise fashion.The flooring was protected, furniture was wrapped to ensure that no damage was done, ramps used although stairway was but a few inches ! Furniture was put together white glove style,set in place, and a complete inventory of delivery before leaving . They also reimbursed me financially for an over estimate ! I was absolutely impressed with the simplicity of setting things up and the process. It was really stress free. I loved the fact that the driver that picked up my items was the driver that stayed with my items and eventually driver them.So I didnt give 5 Stars because:- Although a delivery window (8th to the 14th) was provided I think the timeframe from pick up to drop off was tooooooo long. i.e. picked up on the 2nd, drop off on the 14th. I thought delivery would of been earlier not the last possible day of the delivery window. In addition, the price was more because of Labor Day but the items were picked up days before Labor Day and delivered a week after Labor Day)- The brown tape that was used by Hall Moving in Commack NY was cheap. It was so cheap that you can just pull it with your hands to break/cut. The workers used that tape to close some of my boxes that werent closed upon pick up. Since the tape was so cheap and didnt quite stick it left gaps/openings in the box. Upon receiving my boxes there were roaches (dead and alive in some boxes and on the tape. (All my boxes that were closed using scotch tape were tightly sealed).

The whole process from the estimate through the entire move was flawless. Every person I dealt with was a pleasure! They were efficient, courteous, friendly, expeditious and extremely accommodating with anything and everything I requested. The movers were so nice, very professional, very friendly and accommodating. They did a PHENOMENAL job and they did it quickly and expertly. Every request was met with a smile and positive response. Prices were very reasonable and the services were well above par. I cannot recommend this moving company highly enough. 5 stars are NOT ENOUGH! You cannot go wrong with Hall Lane. These people are terrible! Dont ever use them - unless you want all your items broken. We used them to move tools and household items which the salesman said would be fine. They were supposed to pack a number of items but arrived without enough boxes. They didnt even bring the type of cart you move a refridgerator or washer and dryer with but a simple handcrat to move items equally heavy with. - they brougt a tiny handcart. Lucky for me they didnt bring enough boxes because many that they paked they didnt even wrap items in and those items broke. They didnt wrap our furniture stating it would go into storage so it would get wrapped there. They never wrapped it at all. Our antique furniture travelled across the country without moving blankets. Many antigue items were scrated or broken, There was a cast iron bench that was in the shipment. They broke the legs in half. How is that even possible! We had insurance, but the amount they give you wont pay to replace items.Over 20 boxes were lost !

Our move went extremely well!! The crew that moved us was experienced, detailed, and responsible. They were careful not to get marks on our walls. Some furniture did not fit through certain doorways and the movers were helpful in coming up with alternatives which resulted in extra work for them. After the job was done, we were pleased to the point of saying to each other that we wouldnt use or recommend anyone else for moving!!

We moved to the Barrier Islands off of the Robert Moses Causeway. So it was a little bit of a challenge to unload with no drive way access. I contacted this company to move my husband and I from our home of 33 years to our new condo. From the minute I spoke to the first person that answered the phone I knew I contacted the right movers. She said someone would call me back at 3:00. A man named Alex called me and we did a FaceTime video of the contents of my home because of COVID. I had the estimate by that evening and all the paperwork was done by the next morning. They confirmed the appointment the day before and right on time the day of the move five gentlemen showed up. They all introduced themselves by name (Dave, Jesse, Al, Craig and Annabel) and were extremely neat. They packed up everything and within a few hours we were on the move. Arriving at the condo they brought everything in and unpacked it. My furniture is very heavy and not once did anybody complain when they asked me what room things went to. By the end of the day all my furniture was where it was supposed to go, put together, and not one thing was missing or broken.I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a moving company. We recently moved into our newly renovated home and chose Hall Lane based on their reputation. However, it was a HUGE mistake. They first stopped working and refused to continue until we paid them $500. (Prior to move in day, were told we pay them after the job is completed but they were demanding partial payment) The movers then damaged our brand new floors while moving furniture in many places throughout the house. They then hid the damage by piling boxes on top. When the job was completed they asked us to sign something stating that the job was done and all was ok. We did because at the time, it looked good. BIG MISTAKE. When we starting the job of unpacking we noticed that they put boxes in rooms they didn’t belong in. (Yes, I labeled the proper rooms on numerous sides of the boxes to make it easier for the workers and showed them the house prior to them starting the job so they knew where everything went) So now I’m moving “garage” boxes from the 2nd floor bathroom down to the garage. That’s when we started to see the damage they caused. Huge gauges on our floors from the workers sliding heavy furniture into place. They damaged 3 areas of the house and hid it with boxes so we wouldn’t notice the damage until after we signed and approved the job completion. After calling Hall Lane to make them aware of the issue and sending them pictures of the damage, we get a letter in the mail stating we signed that everything was ok and there’s nothing they will do. So now we’re stuck with repairing our floors all because We didn’t move our boxes before the workers left! But hey...they gave us back the $500 they admitted to over charging us randomly in the middle of move! Will never use them again and highly advise against anyone else doing so also!

They also got the move done quickly, which saved me money. This is the second time Ive used Hall Lane and they were amazing once again. Great experience! They are very professional, very helpful and honest. We got an estimate done and then booked the moving date. The movers were very efficient and professional. All 3 gentlemen were very careful with the furniture and extremely kind. I definitely recommend them and will def use them again!

I owned many homes and a friend of mine recommended Hall Movers I called and spoke to a gentleman named Richard schultz. He came by when he said and gave me an estimate of moving and storage. I needed to store my housewares and boxes for over a week. The movers came exactly when he said and loaded my items and even showed up to deliver on time.The workers were professional and pleasurable to deal with. Absolutely nothing was damaged to my surprise and they took pride in what they did. Rich was right on the price he quoted and did a Fantastic job in what he promised. Very professional and friendly people. The movers who pack you up are not the movers who do the move, so you have to deal with 2 crews. Both were very friendly. Have an idea of what you want to keep or throw out! It will go much faster. And speak up! If you have a question or problem, call Richie. He is wonderful and is an expert in the moving business. Keep in contact with him. He wont mind. Thats what I liked about him.This is a one stop shop company! No need to look anywhere else to complete your move!Theyre the best.

I recently moved and used Hall Lane Movers!! From the moment I made my first phone call to the last box that was moved into my new home, this company took great care! I called and spoke to Richie who gave me an estimate for my move! He has been working in the industry for 30+ years! He was extremely accurate with the estimate... as a matter of fact I did receive a credit on my credit card because the movers got everything done in less time than expected! We had four gentlemen that came to move my family into our new home.... they were kind, careful, and thoughtful of my belongings! These guys asked us questions if they were not sure where something was going... they helped us tape last minute items... and even helped to carefully move our bearded dragon.... my daughter’s beloved pet... which they were not expected to move... Best part of our move by a long shot. They were fast but took theyre time to make sure all of our items were transported safely and with care. Raul and Brian were a fantastic team, would recommend to everyone.

The men who moved me were polite, friendly and very careful with all my furniture. This was the best moving experience I have ever had. I can’t say enough about how great they were. I have a baby grand piano which is not an easy item to move but they handled it well. This is the only company I would use again and the only company on the island that I would recommend.

They came right on time, were quick and professional. They were great, even in a pandemic. I would definitely recommend them. They lived up to their “Best of Long Island” reputation.

Just a quick note to tell you what a great experience the move was Thurs and Fri. Mike and the rest of the men were great, friendly, efficient and so helpful to me. They made a move with 25 years of things so much less stressful for me even with two days, two stops, an apartment building and a friend who really could use my old bed coming right in the middle of the move!
