After shopping pretty consistently at Hilltop for the past 2-3 years, unfortunately my positive feelings towards this shop have come to an end as of today. I visited Hilltop with my partner, and after poking around for 10ish minutes, was approached by a new employee(?) who asked me to leave my bag at the front desk. I typically would not be bothered by this, as this sort of treatment is typical of stores like SSENSE and Riccardi due to the value of the items within, however i couldn’t help but notice that out of the maybe dozen other people within the store, i was the only one asked. There is not to my knowledge, or ever has been a “no bags” policy at this store, so it was very confusing, embarrassing, and made the whole experience incredibly uncomfortable. The kicker is that a woman asked immediately after if she should leave her tote bag, to which the employee answered “oh no ma’am, that’s your purse”. I don’t know if this is completely unknown territory to the staff at Hilltop, but men such as myself also quite often carry purses. I don’t know if the assumption was that since i am young i would want to steal any of the poorly maintained and horrendously overpriced trinkets that suffocate the retail racks of the shop, but i would like the owners to realize that nobody in their right mind would need or want to steal from a store who’s most prized possessions are marked up second hand Coach bags.

Really enjoy this store and always stop in when Im in Concord. Downtown parking is a bit of a pain (meters), but the store is quite nice. Very clean and organized, and there is two floors worth of things to look at. Staff is very friendly.

Furniture, housewares, art, clothing, new, antiques, funky and fussy.I love my new designer handbag, at a fraction of the regular price.Over the yeas we also purchased a wonderful sofa and dining set.Its our go to place!

New staff will give you the runaround about inserting new products for consignment. I worked with Sue McCoo last year submitting a painting and a custom lamp into consignment. It went incredibly well. However this year I have tried over six times to insert two paintings into the consignment shop. Each time I have been told I will be called back in a couple days to schedule a drop off of the paintings. And each time I have not received a call back. The process itself to insert two items into the gallery would take less than 10 minutes. Whoever is running the new item insertion process is failing miserably.

Dont Shop here if you hold anything for too long. You might get accused of stealing. My 1st time in their shop and somebody followed me out and accused me of stealing. The first time in my life that Ive ever had that happen. If they attract so many people that steal from them that they treat would be paying customers like criminals. They obviously arent somewhere anyone should shop.

I have very good results selling items here. The staff knows the market and customer. Their store has quality items at good prices. And they are friendly which matters.

Well chosen and displayed furniture in great condition with constantly evolving inventory. Their items are always quality. And if youre in the mood for a really great deal there is a clearnce basement which is worth picking through - think tag sale. I visit whenever I get the chance and my kids LOVE to window shop on our way by as they pay great attention to their window display.

Nice Consignment shop Friendly Staff

Made an appointment to consign items for 9:30am. I showed up a few minutes early (walked a long way through construction with items) The owner arrived around 9:25 and finally, by 9:40, looked at me through the door and walked away. Rude and unacceptable. I will NEVER shop there again EVER!
