Love this place! No cake has ever disappointed. This here is a mango cake.. so delicate and smooth. The amount of cake in this is only in the middle, the rest is a mango moose type of thing and the whole bottom is a short bread cookie.. the amount of sugar is perfect! Not overly sweet at all.

Ive discovered this place by accident and I am so happy that I did. It was my niece Birthday and she wanted a Black Forest Cake.Since I will be in the Concord area, I decided to pick a cake up for her as well.When I had arrived the place was huge. The location is located in downtown.To my surprised there was a ramp for wheelchairs.I was greeted by a wonderful lady at the counter who asked for my name and brought the cake out.The cake was beautiful, a real showcase winner with beautiful designs and plump cherries.Moving forward....and its time to cut the cake....Let me tell you.. the cake did not disappoint, it was so moist with layers of decadent and sinfully wonderful chocolate, cherries, and whipped cream slices.I give this place 🙌 👏 🙏.Thank you for helping me make this day awesome for me and my niece.

The two women were rude. They messed up my cake with the color theme. They were rude and said I either take the cake as it is or leave the cake. I don’t them I have a party and need the cake. They were unwilling to help me. One of them remarked” give her a 10% and get her out of here”. Her time was condescending and denigrating. It was Friday Oct 29 evening.

Definitely recommend!! They have a large variety of pastries, cakes and cookies. They have undecorated Christmas cookies and frosting you can purchase for the holidays so you or in my case the kids get to decorate without the laborious task of making sugar cookies. I would have given them a 5 star but some of the staff seemed less than thrilled to be helping people. I know we are all wearing masks but you can still tell when someone is being customer service friendly.

Cupcake made it through customs, i politely asked the caucasian lady to wrap it up Im taking it on the plane, she insisted my pastrys wouldnt survive NOT on the plane! (It doesnt matter wrap it up) They obviously holding up pretty well to eat on my plane ride However my niece & nephew felt she was just a bit Rude as if we were to brown to be in this bakery, i felt she didnt want to sell us pastries, Oh thats right they wouldnt survive on the plane for us to eat (Get Real) I will never support this bakery again, they were only polite to their caucasian customers till it came our turn.

Fantastic local bakery. Bought a lemon coconut cake for my wife’s birthday (and she’s an expert baker herself and kindly asked me not to try and bake one for her). They delivered! Less expensive than the competition, fluffier bake, perfect balance of flavors, and great staff. We also had a cheesecake slice and chocolate almond horn pastry. Way to go Alpine and thank you!

I stopped in at 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon to take a couple desserts to the park for us to enjoy. 1 piece of Cheesecake and 1 piece of tiramisu. I have always wanted to try this place since I moved here and was happy to finally get the chance. I was disappointed when we finally had a chance to enjoy them when we found out that the tiramisu was frozen. After reading the website, I assume everything was made local but maybe not. Even if it was purchased for resale, it would have been nice to thaw it out prior to selling it. The flavor was good, just disappointing. The Cheesecake was delicious.

Wonder pastries. Love their raspberry linzer tarts and princess cake plus many other yummy items. I try and stop there every time Im in the area.

Terrible customer service. I was there b/4 6 new people and was standing at the cookies like I said. Nobody came down. I had to ask for help and was made to wait til they were done. Then I asked for my receipt and then had to ask again. Your clerks need hearing aids. Terrible service. I will make the drove to Oakland than here again. Service there is great. Get numbered tags to prevent this. Really I wouldnt even give a 1 star for today. I was here on Thurs 24, 2021 4 pm

Probably the best place to treat oneself and others !! LolThe pasties are awesome, our all time favorite is rum ball, got birthday cake from here.Lots of cookies to choose and has special cookies and pastries during festivals like Easter, Halloween 👻They also have coffee.I want to try all the pasties they have ! 😋

A bad taste left in my mouth.I recently went here with my mother in law to buy a cake after a friend recommended the location to me. The customer service was so appalling that we decided to leave . Perhaps the person was having a bad day, what ever it is was, I will be taking my business else where.

Alpine has been a staple within my family since I was very little. My grandma would take me every week and she would have coffee while I had a cupcake. As an adult now, I have shared this with my partner and he is equally in love with this spot as I am! They make delicious cakes and cookies...literally everything is good!

Hubby’s family has been coming to this bakery for 30 years and I can see why. Everything we’ve tried has been very tasty - from princess cake to basic cookies. Today we picked up a chocolate mousse log for NY celebration, and I was just blown away. It was exceptional! So moist and rich, yet light and not too decadent - just absolute perfection! Moving forward, it will be our cake of choice for every Christmas / NY dinner tradition. Needless to say, I highly recommend you give this bakery a try. It doesn’t matter what you’re in the mood for, you’ll find something to your liking as their variety is pretty incredible. And, their customer service is great too. This place caught my eye on the way to eat at a place across the street and we stopped by after our meal. So glad that we did. They have a wide assortment of baked goods ready to go. From tiramisu to cheesecake, cookies, marcaron and plenty more.Fast and friendly staff, and we were in and out of the door very quickly. Every single thing that we bought so very good. It was almost a shame that we didnt buy more for the road. Next time were in Concord, well make it a point to stop by and get some more baked goods.

Saw this bakery when coming out from the nearby plaza, so I decided to check it out. I was intrigued by the selection of pastries. The bakery is big, and the staff courteous. I was so tempted to buy the big cake which caught my attention right away when I walked in; but I ended up buying different flavors of macarons.After trying, I have to say they belong to the bad macarons category--size too big, bumpy shells, & too much sugar--one of the worst Ive tasted. Very disappointed!! Now Im very hesitant to try the cakes, although they looked good.

Cake was too much cream and way to sweet. Hope they would put more actual cake and less cream. Other than that, the bakery is ok.

This is my favorite bakery in ALL of the Bay Area, hands down. Im so picky, Ive been to many bakeries all around SF, San Jose, etc and unfortunately theyre just overpriced for no reason. Here though, Ive tried their cookies and their mouse and I have to say they do an amazing job.

Omgosh the best pastries, cookies and cakes in the East Bay. Old school bakery with great service! They even have a vegan raspberry millefeuille (sp?) That is phenomenal.

We got a white chiffon cake with vanilla custard filling and it was so delicious.

Great bakery but too many customers in the store at onetime to maintain a 6 ft distance. They can do better by having one or 2 customers in at a time everyone else wait outside until it is their turn. It is stressful and hard to find exactly what I want trying to keep a distance.

Not very happy with Alpine this Sunday morning. We were craving for fresh croissants. They opened @9am, my husband was there at 9:30am. The girl that helped him said they sold all their croissants & only 1 left. My husband asked her if it’s fresh, she said Yes! My husband got home, I opened the bag & right away I can tell they are not fresh! She could have told my husband it was a day old. What a disappointment!

It was awful. They dont use gloves and touching food with their bare hands . Disgusting COVID spreaders.They also make you wait outside in a line and then once you inside other customers passing by to look at further shelfs, because they created the corridor so narrow. So basically every customer is touching each other because of lack of space.The women who touch the food with her bare hands was also very rude. You should provide gloves to you staff and change it between customers. If that worker is allowing rude behavior I am not sure she is washing her hands

Got a beautiful strawberry and vanilla cake for my dad here. The servers were helpful and friendly. Also got a slice of princess cake that was absolutely delicious.

Hard to find a true bakery or butcher shop now a days but Alpine is the real deal. Have been going here for years starting at their old location. Great treats.

I ordered the Chocolate Mousse cake for my co-workers birthday and it was the lightest and most delicious chocolate cake I have ever had! It was light and fluffy and perfectly sweetened chocolate cake ever. It was not too sweet. It was heavenly!

We just moved to Concord and visited Alpine for the first time today. Wonderful pastries, coffee, and service. We’ll definitely be back.

The best cakes and pastries in the Bay!

We got our wedding cake here in May of 2018-- it was the most delicious and moist cake with lemon curd filling. They even let us bring in our own live succulents for the cake decor and they tastefully decorated the cake for us! Our guests couldnt get enough!Now any time we have a family get-together, we offer to bring the dessert so we can stop in and pick up something from Alpine! Yesterday we got a raspberry swirl cheesecake and it was a HUGE hit.

Hidden gem in Concord. Blends in with its surroundings, but it’s worth the stop. Tons of pastries to choose from and the employees were very kind to everyone that came in. I even overheard them give someone a free coffee refill! Lots of custom cake orders were going on when I was there.I came in for a coffee, a croissant, and a place to study and I found all three. There are just a few tables and outlets, but it was quiet. They turned on music and asked everyone in the store if it was too loud. Very accommodating staff and I hear the owners are pretty great too and have a long history of pastry making!

I love going to Alpine Bakery. It is an institution for many years. Now they are located at a new place at downtown Concord, I think about a year and a half. There are more tables to sit and enjoy that cappuccino and mango mousse dessert. They have beautiful cakes and delicious pastries for breakfast and for anytime of the day. I suggest that if you have a sweet tooth, come and try them. Maybe youll bump into me. 😊🍰☕

Quality product, good selection but service is hit or miss.

Asked for the least sweet pastry and took an eclair and a Princess pastry as recommended. Omg, its a pure sugar. Certainly not your place if you know how beautiful European style cakes and pastries are.

This bakery will not quit because they are currently to legit. I was looking for a new bakery and found this one in Concord. I currently live in Alameda, so we made the trip out there and this bakery did not disappoint. Super friendly staff and very knowledgeable about all things sugar and spice. They had a plethora of options and we tried several of their offerings. The experience overall was great and I would highly recommend to all.

The gingerbread cookies I found here were absolutely perfect. Big, yummy, and beautifully decorated. Everything looked amazing and smelling all the pastries cooking was heaven.

I was looking for a good place where I can have different options and fresh pastries, cupcakes and cookies. I really loved the fact that it had donde made with almond meal which is my preference. I got a cookie, cupcake, blueberry cake, raspberry almond meal cake piece (princess cake) something like that. Everything was very good. I would suggest putting more peanut butter in the cookies but the rest was amazing. Keep up the great job, will keep you in mind when i need cakes.

Everything they have is a delight! Their cupcakes are delicious, and their brownies decadent. My personal favorite is the princess cake, which has marzipan covering the outside. Their baked goods are always fresh, and their service has always been prompt for us.

When it comes to ordering a Birthday cake, or cupcakes.And being that I live in Concord.I will ALWAYS go to Alpine Pastry. I LOVE THE CAKES AND PASTRIES.Its to die for.👍🎂🧁🥧🍰✌😘

Hadnt been here in too many years to mention, but since I move back to Concord recently, and for nostalgia, what the heck. The location is different, I think it was a travel agency before, but the wafting smell of bakery was the same and unmistakable. Thank heaven, God or Mother Nature for whoever created that smell.It was late afternoon, ate good all day, I dined on a slice of cake and coffee. I pointed to the whole cake of what I wanted, but got a different looking slice of something similar. What the hell, its cake and chocolate, how bad could it be... dont complain. And it was fantastic, but couldnt tell you its name, as I didnt order it. But its near the chocolate mousse roll cake that I still harbor such desires for. Maybe another journey to Alpine Bakery is in my nearest future.Next time, I will skip the coffee, as it just wasnt all that good. But then again, Im accustomed to Peets when great coffee is needed.

This bakery is awesome. What an amazing sight when you walk in and see so many displays of awesome food. The smell you encounter when you walk in is awesome. All of the desserts we purchased for our family dinner were perfect.

This is really the best bakery in the eastbay. If you are invited to a wedding, get together, or party and wondering if you should go and the host says the cake is from alpine, go. Just go. You will not be disappointed. Maybe the conversation is boring. Maybe the kids are terrors. Maybe your friends drunk aunt is hitting on you. All night long. Take comfort knowing that you will get some of the best cake you will ever have. Yes its that good.

This bakery is legit. Its so legit that I could not control myself and ended up splitting an entire carrot cake with my niece for her 5th grade promo. We didnt eat the entire cake in one sitting, but we got half way there. And I have no regrets! It was delicious!

The​ best bakery in Concord, but thats not saying much. Costco industrial ingredients prepared on site. No butter in sight or smell. We really do like their Mexican Wedding Cookies, though. The bar is so low for bakeries, here and in most of the US, that the fact that they just get over it didnt impress me.

From buying a few Danishes & Cookies to purchasing numerous assorted Pastries, Napoleons, Cheesecake, etc. for a good- sized gathering at our ladies Luncheon at Church!! Many people couldnt wait to find out where you are located! The staff are, kind, curtious, and extremely knowledgeable!!

Bavarian cream is really good. Everything I have had here is good. But watch out for people not respecting the line. They come in looking in the glass display and a lady will pop up say whos next? they say me. NO! Im in line, I am next. I dont care if you were here first, you were not in line. If you dont say anything the clerk will just assume they are next.
