Cannot recommended enough! Lori went above and beyond to make a cake, cupcakes and cookies for a bridal shower. They were absolutely perfect and we got so many compliments on them! Not to mention they were delicious!

This is officially my go to place! Lori fit me in when I needed 5 dozen cookies for a friends bday. I sent photos from Pinterest and she said no problem. They turned out amazing!!! And she individually bagged them. Everyone loved them!! Very impressed!!

We had The Sweet Life for our wedding goodies and our guests are still raving about the macaroons! We had barely any cupcakes left (maybe 2) if that should tell you anything! Such great people to work with who are there for all of your sweet needs. We highly recommend for any event or even if you want to just drop in for a cinnabon!

Lori of the “The Sweet Life” is such a pleasure. She has such amazing cupcakes it’s next to impossible to pick a favorite but these days I’m hooked on her Raspberry cupcakes. They are delicious and I’ve never tried anything like them. You will always leave “The Sweet Life” with a satisfied sweet tooth and a smile on your face.

We absolutely LOVE The Sweet Life. Lori baked our wedding cake in 2010 and knocked it out of the park, we have been using The Sweet Life ever since. If we are in the area we always stop in for Macaroons or a few cupcakes and the occasional cake. This year The Sweet Life saved the day! Our daughter gets a cake from Icing Smiles every year for her birthday, this year the baker canceled (2) days before her party due to a family emergency, I gave Lori a call knowing it was incredibly short notice and without hesitation Lori and her team were able to help us out. Her team saved the day for our daughters party. Highly recommend The Sweet Life amazing staff, amazing baked goods. Did I mention the Macaroons?

My parents can not stop returning to the sweet life bakery. My dad fell in love with their bread and now they’ve been making him a special coconut bread just like what he ate as a kid growing up in Nassau. They’ve also been ordering far too many pecan bars. So great!!

Delicious Birthday Cake for my friends Birthday Party. It was the Cherry Sun-drop cake. $40.00 and feed 15 people. The bakery has a variety of Gluten-free brownies, cupcakes, and cookies that are amazing. I would highly recommend The Sweet Life!

This is by far my favorite bakery in the Concord/Charlotte area. Im gluten free and love baked goods - bad combination! But this place makes cupcakes SO good that you would never think they were gf. Theyre really amazing! Huge, moist, dense, and the best icing ever. They also have other delicious treats like gf macaroons. The owner is super nice and accommodating too which is like the icing on the cake.... lol. My daughter really loved her birthday cupcakes today!

Whenever we have family events in the Concord area, or I’m just in town visiting, we always make a stop for some delishousness at The Sweet Life! Everything Lori makes is amazing but her Macarons are the family favorite, particularly my daughter. She has been lucky enough to have macarons in NYC, Paris and even learned how to lake them in a class at Sur la Table in Raleigh but has deemed these “the best ones she’s ever had!”

I cant say enough great things about this bakery. My wife and I came in about two weeks prior to my sons birthday party looking for a cake. We showed the owner a sample of what the partys theme was going to be about, chose the flavoring of the cake, and the rest was up to her.The day of the birthday party we went to pick up the cake and needless to say she did not disappoint! She did quite a bit of research on the character, with such attention to detail that it exceeded all my expectations! I honestly wasnt expecting such an amazing design and delicious cake. My son loved it and everyone at the party couldnt stop complimenting on how great the cake looked and tasted!Everyone at the bakery was very polite and professional, you can tell that the owner has a vested interest with all her customers making sure theyre satisfied with the final product. Highly recommend this bakery, it will be leaving a smile and positive lasting impression on you!

Edit: the owner of The Sweet Life reached out to me personally and refunded our purchase. Amazing customer service! We will give them another try sometime!Tried the cupcakes and banana pudding. The cupcakes were dry and the icing was hard and crumbly, like they were old or something. Got a red velvet, vanilla, and union crunch, not impressed with any of them. The banana pudding tasted like it was made with cake icing instead of pudding, which made it so so sweet, and just not banana “pudding”.

Great customer service! My husband’s birthday cake was done exactly as I had requested-beautifully decorated and delicious! Highly recommended!

I purchased gluten-free cupcakes and the were delicious!

We used them for our engagement party and they were amazing! The cake fed a hundred people and tasted perfect and everyone raved about the cake after the event. It was a beautiful cake and we wish we could have them serve our wedding but we are getting in a different state.

For our daughters wedding: Lori was wonderful to work with, very friendly, helpful, and professional. She went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Very nice location. Very nice staff. Food looked good. But zero selection. A couple cupcake flavors and macrons. Very disappointed. Hoping to come back another time when they have a different selection.

Last minute decision for a coffee and muffin and found my new pleasure of life! Out of 4 different pastries and ofcourse a cherry lemon muffin (wouldnt be a proper southerner without a cherry lemon somewhere in my breakfast ) they were all equally amazing! The pecan and lemon bars are wonderful but very rich and sweet; 2 bites and I was satisfied. The staff is friendly and meticulous with preparing your order, including the coffees. Being part of the old First Union building adds to the charm of this shop. I would like to see maybe some breads and croissants being offered in the future!

What an amazing bakery! Lori and her staff create such wonderful Sweets. I ordered a Grooms Cake as a gift for a very special couple....with just a few photos The Sweet Life made this delicious dessert. So much detail. It was a huge hit. The coordinating cookies and rice krispie treats were great! I’ll be back for sure! Stop in and try the cupcakes, cookies and cinnamon rolls - you won’t be disappointed!

Those salted caramel cupcakes were sooo good! The bakery is pretty and the staff was so friendly and sweet! Will come back again for sure :)

BLESS this place. The only place to get a macaron, seriously. Theyre gluten free, vegetarian, and made with sunflower seeds, so no need to worry about a nut allergy on that one. My favorite flavors have been the peanut butter & jelly and the strawberry cheesecake. Its all just to die for

I think this must be the place to go for a cake. We went in for cupcakes and they were okay but not completely amazing. They should try different recipes and have more of a selection.

Ordered a cake from this place for an event. Worst cake ever. The frosting on the cake was so hard, couldnt even cut with a knife. Inside the cake was super dry, not moist at all. All the guests were disappointed and most of them threw the cake in trash.
