My visit to Clayton Homes in Conroe was great! When I arrived I was greeted and treated like I was someone special. I was able to see all the homes that I wanted to and all the questions that I ask was answered and yet I felt no pressure. I would suggest if someone is looking for the perfect home please visit them first. I give them 5 stars plus.

I will never buy a modular home again. It is basically a cardboard house. Horrible craftsmanship. Consider buying a house. I cant hang anything on the walls because all the studs are on 20 centers. If you barely graze any trim it falls off (day one). The carpet in the house were different color at first. They fixed it, but only to find out that the home they sold me was obviously a show home. The subcontractor said he could see remnants of old carpet and carpet tac. The plumbing fixtures were loose and not braced. The roof feels soft in spots after 3 years. In short DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Proceed with caution!! My mother purchased home from Sal at Clayton in Conroe. This should be a happy experience but jnstead it has been beyond stressful & the frustration is never ending it seems. This entire process has been a disaster. Poor communication with Sal & Isaiah. Home has multiple repairs & they are extremely slow to remedy. External paint does not match, granite in kitchen cracked damaged floors, home unleveled....too much to list. Home was delivered on 4/10/2021 & this morning the roof is leaking. Charlene nor Isaiah is willing to tarp the roof to prevent further damage...too great of a liability for their contractor to be on the roof. REALLY???? so now my husband is having to go up on the roof to tarp it to prevent further damage. Extremely disappointed in the lack of concern, poor customer service and knowledge of the building process. They are smooth talkers so think twice before you buy from Clayton in Conroe.

Colin did an awesome job taking care of us throughout the process and was there anytime we had questions or concerns, the manager Isaiah is a great guy as well. 10/10

If I could give Charlene in Service more than 5 stars, I would. The department has been incredible since she took over. We bought our home a year ago and ran into service difficulty right away as the home is located in the middle of nowhere 6 hours away from Conroe and we didnt have a well until 3 months after it was delivered. Clayton had to contract with vendors outside of their service area to fix what was needed after delivery. The service I received before Charlene took over was ok; the people were always friendly, but it seemed like it took forever for anything to get done. When Charlene took over, everything happened quickly. When the final repairs were done (or so I thought), the repairman told me that the mechanical company didnt use the correct pipe to connect my A/C and it was leaking. I called Charlene and she went to bat for me dealing with the outside vendor. Most vendors in the area are on country time; they get to it when theyre ready, and if youre not happy, oh well! Charlene would text me and keep me updated every few days; even on Saturdays when she wasnt working. She is a really sweet person that cares about getting the job done right and making her customers happy. I had a great experience with her and she deserves a raise after what she went through on my behalf!

If you go here ask for a salesman named Grant. Very knowledgeable and looks to find you the mobile home you are looking for. I didnt really know what I was looking for. But he was actually helpful and really tried to find me a mobile home that I could afford and also really wanted

I hope I dont have to give them a star because they dont deserve one. This is for Clayton in Conroe,TX. We purchased our home 2/17/2017. Our master shower didnt drain so after a year they sent a repair man who cut out sheet rock then left it, never fixed it. Our storm door was never given to us. Pot filler only half there. Plus several other things we paid for not fixed. Now telling us, oh were done. But you can fix it yourself. I had to give them 1 star but its a minus.

Don’t delete my review this time! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!! I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN!! They do not honor their warranty and waited until my warranty was up to tell us oh we won’t fix it because it’s been over 12 months even though Isaiah and jerry has walked the house with me at week 1 and I made sure they had all a list of what was left to fix before the 12 months was up! They would send guys out and not have the equipment to fix the issues. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!They did the same thing to my uncle and he had to pay to have his roof replaced less than 12 months of having his house delivered

I absolutely recommend Clayton Homes! We love our purchase. Isaiah made the process easy for us, he led the way to our dream mobile home! Walked us through each step and we closed on the deal. Austin has been very helpful as well. Once the mobile home got to the property he made sure everything was taken care of, calling us to update us on all the work that was being done. Great people and homes

I bought the real deal from this location everything was fine when they setup everything til pretty much everything started falling apart my trim started coming off cracks in the ceiling. What sucks the most is how poorly it was put together by the contractors, I love my home just wish it was put together better.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.....This company is horrible. They are all accomodating and full of information when making the sale, then once the sale is made, they just drop you. Once they had the sale, it was a constant struggle to get them to the place. Once there, they never finished all the touch ups and repairs needed; always an excuse of having to come back because they ran out of something or they had to contact someone else. Then, absolutely NO follow up. Told them about the AC not working repeatedly within my year warranty to only have them make an excuse not that they cant help me because the year warranty is up and the salesman that I told about the AC repair needs, got fired or no longer works there.

Grant made this process easier than I could have ever imagined. He is very professional and does exactly what he says he will.

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!!! Went to Clayton to buy OUR first home, Adrian the sales guys was very informative. We talk it over and go back and decide yes lets go forward. From asking for LOANS way way over the value of the home we were looking at, to telling us that our home would be delivered in October to now finding out that it wont be here until mid December, Oh and lets not talk about the guilt trip I was given about how I took a spot of a flood victim, little did Adrian know, I am a flood victim. Being told that all of these things were included in the loan to find out that they actually were not. Even getting a phone call 1.5 weeks after closing asking me what house i bought, because they couldnt remember when they supposedly had already ordered the home. All they care about is the sale they made their money who cares what happens now, and the icing on the cake i never once asked for special treatment but I grew up with Isaiah and you would think that they would have been a little bit more helpful and concerned but they are not ., I WILL NEVER EVER EVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO BUY A HOME FROM CLAYTON IN CONROE.

I had a great experience with the salesman named Jeff. Buying a mobile home was a big expense for me, therefore stressful. Now that I have owned it for about 15 months, I want to refresh my review with hindsight. Hindsight is 20/20, and I can now see clearly that I got the best deal possible, from a genuinely decent company. There were bumps and scrapes that went along with the experience, but honestly those were mostly my own fears of being ripped off or getting a bad product (home). The reality is, the home is awesome and good lucking inside and out. Everything functions as it should, no leaks, no complaints. The few glitches I experienced, they were adjusted and made right by the company. I can tell you, this company will still help resolve any issue that comes up, well after the sale and their responsibility has legally ended. I am a straight shooter, no reason for me to write this review except for the good feeling I got from having someone answer the phone and help me if I needed it. He treats everyone he meets with respect and wants to help people get the best deal on a new home. If you are shopping for a manufactured home in the Conroe area, you have to meet Jeff Vest at Clayton Homes of Conroe before you buy a home anywhere else.

The one in Conroe started out great but after we bought we had issues with the house and had to have them out numerous times and finally gave up on getting everything fixed correctly. Been in it year and half and still have issues with trim work, door knobs, etc.

By far...the worst experience ive ever had doing business anywhere. If you have a choice, i advise you to go any other place than Clayton Homes. Its been over a year now, and we still have yet to fully live in our home. Definitely dont get what youre paying for thats for sure. Had nothing but problems from day one. Water leaks(which is still leaking by the way), drywall issues, doors that wont shut properly, man i can go on for days about it all! Not to mention the time ive had to take off of work to wait for repair guys(who no show). Go anywhere else if you can people!

I called Clayton to ask about the cheapest option of a 3Bed 2 Bath, the manager said 39900$ with set up. I doubled checked if it was with set up. Went there, I loked at it 😎😎and wanted to buy that mobile home 🤗. When going forward with the process appearantly 🤔it was with no set up. (THEY LYED😤😤😤). Which I still went forward with it. When Jeff helped out with the loan. He decided to ask the lender for 57000$😳😒. Yes, 17000$ more. Why🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔? When I asked with the excuse of the set up. To include everything. WHAT KIND OF SET UP COST 17000$🙄🙄?. No idea, but they messed up. 😖

Even give them one start.we bought a trailer from them in 05 i think it was.Roger and David..Jerks they had Davids brother in law driving the trailer to install it he backs it up screws up the corner wouldnt take the trailer. Back.They put the trailer on the lot 4 days before they was suppost to took fence down tore awing off gave material to their helper i had a brand new unbrella and picnic table Roger gave to his helpers then they came back at 2 in the morning said Roger gave them my cement steps..Victor the head honcho over David and Roger wouldnr do anything about the damage to the trailer when they hit that pole it knocked the frame and a hole over the door .i could go on and on for about 4 more days on what they did .I wpuldnr by jack from them .I heard they arent rheir anym9re but what they did to us and how we was treated and Victor didnt do anything about it.you cant trust them

Everything was great at first the sales person and sales manager were friendly until the end when they got really pushy and we didnt want to give them our phone number. We were coming in to get an idea of price and size, after loosing our home to Hurricane Harvey we were wanting to look around and see what our options were since this would have been our first trailer. I asked to get a copy of the floor plan with their business card so we could reach out once we were ready. The sales guy made a snarky comment about not wanting to give me his card because it had his number and didnt want us calling him (since we didnt want to give him our number) I gave him the benefit of the doubt and assumed he was joking instead of taking it personal. They finally gave us this poor quality copy of the floor plan. Keep in mind the floor plan they showed us where they wrote the price was much better quality and even including pictures. I asked if I could get a better quality copy since we really were interested in the floor plans but by the sale mangers reaction I realized we must have bruised his ego and they werent willing to help us. If this is the way they treat their customers that just lost everything they owned then we would never come back. They definitely lost our business and wouldnt recommend them to ANYONE!!!

Promise were not keeped and when question they made you think you didnt know what youre talking about. When house was set the messed up neighbors yards. Never was informed on anything that was going on when it came to the home. They did poor job when setting the home. The crew they sent in meesed ul so much. Service gentleman came out took pictures and was very disgusted about the work. Was supposed to have set up appointment for repairs till this day no appointment has been made. I show up to guys at my house never knew was suppose to be there bevbeca no communication. So much more is going on with this house and if I was to tell all I would be here all day long. Just from experience I dont recommend this company at all. I have spent more time up at the office dealing with all the problems it seems my days dont end. I was just up there the 2 days again and got no where. The one thing I wish we would have done was walk that day that we was thinking about doing it. Go other places and loo. You can find some homes. Also so e of the reviews that has 5 stars is some employees.

These people blast all over the internet advertising low low prices to get you in the door, I get there, Jeff wrote me a cash price down on 3 different style homes. I called them to set up a payment and they wanted 5k more than they quoted, said they just couldn’t sell the houses for what they quoted. Sales guy Jeff said “I’ll just fall on my sword and say It’s my fault but I just can’t sell it for that”, the houses have just went up that much in 35 days. When I was at his place he did not have the house I wanted, said he should have it in 30 days or less. Hell, it ought to be over 100k by the end of the year then. I can’t stand when businesses do this. Do not do business with these crooks!!!

We purchased our home last summer, started the paperwork. Ordered our home exactly the way we wanted it. We purchased, The Absolute Value, 4 bedroom 2 bath... This was our very first ever home buying experience. I have intentionally waited a long while to give a review, simply because if I had done it right after our home delivery and set-up in September. The review would have been very different. Our home itself is amazing, with a few little quirks here and there, but it is exactly what we both wanted and dreamed of having one day. However it took a whole lot of staying on their butts to make sure everything was done right! Would I recommend a Clayton home? Yes! We love our home!! My best advice to anyone looking to buy from ANY mobile home dealer? Write everything they tell you down, communicate in text messages as much as possible!!! So when it comes time for delivery and set-up. You have them to go back to to hold each and every person accountable. Their biggest downfall? Lack of communication!!! Stay on them! ask ALL your questions!! The guys that put our house together were amazing, you should ask them to have MHOT, they tool really good care of our family! Overall, Good experience, just stay on them and record everything!

We decided to buy a double wide since our home building process was put on hold while I had a major surgery. We went in and met with Isaiah in November because we saw an add for a brand new 2016 double wide that had been marked down because they were moving the 2017s in and needed the 16s gone. We decided that even though it didnt come with all of the bells and whistles that it would be fine since we are building a home anyways and just needed something comfortable while I recovered from surgery. We put down the deposit on that home and started the paperwork. The deposit was to hold that home until we were approved and everything was signed. When we got ready to sign papers, we pulled in and noticed the house was gone! We ask them and they said that someone had come in with cash and bought it but that they were ordering us a 2017 with better installation blah blah. They never called us and ask if that would be ok, they just did it and acted like they were doing us a favor. We needed the home asap due to my surgery and that wasnt going to happen because now we had to wait 2 months for a new 1 to be built. Anyhow, we signed papers in December and the house arrived on our property in February. With that being said, we did a thorough walk through once they had their crew come out to do the finishing touches. Once I walked through the door I felt disgusted with the whole thing. They walked through the house with red clay on their feet and stained the carpet, the trim pieces were patched together and most were falling off of the wall, the caulk was all over the countertop, the cabinets have dents and scratches, the carpet was patched together and the seams are the worst Ive ever seen, bubbles in the linoleum, the front door is warped and there is a gap at the bottom where you can see the sunlight, the windows were never sealed allowing ants to come inside both of my childrens rooms and the living room, the back door was warped so bad that we couldnt even lock the bolt lock. There are many many other things I can list. I hope that I can spread the word to other potential buyers.Take it from our bad experience. This was the worst decision we have made!Jeff & Chey Kellogg

On April 14th 2018 our home was delivered. Upon deliver 4 wall panels were damaged, the front door was off center and there were a few spots on the floor where it bubbled. We were told it would take 2-3 weeks to have parts parts in. As of today all that has been fixed is 2 wall boards and the floor (minus the quarter round). On July 11th we noticed a leak in my sons bedroom. On July 12th when they opened we called to inform them about the leak. It is now August 1st and my husband and I have called multiple times throughout the last couple months to have these issues fixed. All we have been given is the run around. This is absolutely the worst customer service I have ever had. Im concerned about there now being mold in the ceiling after almost a month!! I will never by from Clayton homes ever again. It has been a nightmare! My husband contacted our morgage company to inform them of the situation today. Dont even bother replying to this review as we have given yall multiple chances to make things right to fix our home!
