Marlo is A-MA-ZING. She answered all of my questions. While this is a place to store stuff, she made me feel welcome. I’ve even seen her on property and she always waves and smiles, and even stops to see how things are going.Everything was clean and easy to use.I appreciate the very legible entry instructions. Was my first day there. Had to enter the gate code 4 times for it to open. Then it remained open the entire 90mins I was there. Exit gate was fine. Random guy drove up and asked if I had any bolt cutters too : / . Unit has no light, no outlets. The ppl there seem nice. It’s very clean and easy to rent a unit. Unit was clean and secure. Fix the gate and I’ll update the review.

The staff were very courteous and efficient and made choosing a locker unstressful, especially when doing it remotely. Checking in and then checking out was very easy and the locker was clean and a cart available to move items in and out. They always answer the phone which is extremely helpful.

I had an awesome experience with the Manager - Ms. Windy Lopez. Such a great experience you forget about being right on 501 - I think the GM and Mgr strive to satisfy customers to keep them or keep them coming back. I am renting 12x 40 outdoor - Motorhomes. I really like the parking pad - it is a little tight getting in and out -‘just like a lot of campgrounds! Say Hi to Windy- she is awesome ;)

The experience so far has been phenomenal. I rented online with their no-contact procedures which took a matter of minutes. What was AWESOME was I got all my access via email and had no issues getting in and to my new clean storage. Inside was a very sweet gesture and pretty cool - a Welcome bag with the lock, storage information l, business card and welcome note! I have rented many storages and this experience by far is the BEST!!!! The facility is being renovated and I love the new look!So far I have been very IMPRESSED!!!!Click to Copy

I was welcomed by two very nice women, Terry and Brittany! They both gave me amazing customer service. I couldn’t have asked for anything better, it was amazing to walk into a fun and happy environment. It was very easy to book a reservation and super quick! I’m glad I chose cube smart as my place to store my items while I’m on summer break!

Very nice people who work there. Just TOO EXPENSIVE. I have received numerous rate increases until my SMALL unit is now almost 150.00 per month. I have had my unit for over 20 years you would think they would have special rates for LOYAL CUSTOMERS who pay the rent on time for 20 years.August 06, 2020Today I am updating my original review. I received a call from Terry at CubeSmart and she was very concerned about my issues. She reviewed my file and saw how long I have been a customer. She offered me a reasonable rate based on what the current rate would be basically for CubeSmart new customer. Thank you Terry this will help.

The staff is absolutely wonderful! Christopher is who helped me with my units. I would recommend you ask for him! Both my units were climate controlled with plenty of space to get to your unit and clean. Most places are so cramped you can’t hardly move your things into the unit but not with this facility!

Unit is clean. Was able to handle all documents online. All I had to do was use the access code they emailed me, roll up to the unit, and my new lock and welcome package was inside. Solid process, unit was the size they claimed, got a discount by doing everything online, and the location is great for me.

Wonderful experience, personally would like to shout out the general manager at the store Mr. Chris! He has been truly helpful and understanding in the midst of all of the chaos that’s going on in the world. I don’t think that I would have chosen another company because I’ve had this company before back when I was in college and I feel great about the decision that I made I will definitely be referring to multiple people!

TLDR: 0/10 Most stressful event of my lifeUpdate Dec 2020 - 4 months later & no one ever contacted me.Every interaction was negative. While setting up the unit, I was not told until after I paid that insurance was required. I paid an extra $12 for insurance that I was told was administrative fees. The GM, name starts with K, then explains you have to have insurance. He lied about what the initial setup fees were and so I no longer trust him.I go to move in the following weekend, and there is a sign on the door leading to my until saying that they are applying some coating to the floor to the unit and it will be closed from Friday to Monday. I was not told of this. That weekend was when I had to move out. This forced me to go get another storage unit with a different company. The door accepted my code but wouldnt release the magnetic lock.I called customer service to report all of these issues so far. However you customer service department at your 800 number is worthless as they told me all I can do is call the store and have the manager call you. I can do that. I called customer service to have them solve the problem. I requested they have the manager call me. I received a call but was unable to answer at the time. I was not able to get anyone to answer the phone that day when I called them back. No one has ever called me again. I gave up at this point as clearly, no one cares.I expected my account to be setup on auto pay based on my other storage units. I found out when I received a past due bill that it was not. Due to my work, I was not able to show up until 10 min before 6 when they closed. When I got there, a Jeep is idling in the parking lot, the door is locked, and the cashier is counting down the register. I called customer service again and was again told all they could do was call the store. Absolutely useless. Surprise! They didnt answer the phone, like always. Customer service directs me to knock on the door until she opens the door. I asked you want me to bang on the door until someone answers while I can clearly see she I counting money? He said Knock gently. I had to leave at this point because enough time had passed that they were closed and I was ready to pull the door off the front of the building and tell that lady working there everything that is in this list. Also customer service told me the only way I could pay the past due bill was to go to the store. What is the point of having a customer service department when they have their hands tied and cant provide any resolution?I had to take off work to come into the office after lunch to pay my bill. The GM is there and I tell him everything up to this point. He never apologised. He never said that my experiences were not the way his store runs. He did say that the customer service department is some in PA and theyre corporate and really have no interaction. He did try to find and errors to show I was denied access. He waived the late fee and applied the $12 credit from the initial setup. I told him I wanted to cancel the until and I would be moving out immediately. I also asked for my code it was not told. The GM gave me a temporary code to get in the gate and he opened the door to the unit. I saw that a small white Ford was parked behind the office. While moving out, I saw the same white Ford drive around the premise. I packed up and tried to leave. I was not able to leave as the exit gate is also on a key code, which I didnt know. I pressed the call for service button but no one answered, shocking. I drove around to look in the office and no one was there. Also the white Ford was gone from behind the unit. At this point I am locked in the gate. I began to panic as I was very fearful as I was effectively being held against my will. I had to track down another customer to let me out of the gate as your employees have all been unhelpful. If there were no other customers, the only way I knew to get out was to drive through the gate. Needless to say, I felt this was a final F you from your company as a final experience.

Tara was so awesome. She helped me will all my storage needs. She went out of her way to find the right storage locker as well as a Uhaul truck. She even suggested what covers Id need for my mattresses. Definitely would recommend this location simply from her great customer service.

Really simple place and not to pricey compared to other storage unit providers. Only problem is if you forget password you will have trouble getting your stuff stored. The $50 storage unit is really good size for the price.

Ive been a customer for over a year and I received a rate increase. I went to management with my concerns, and they where able to help me and save me some money. I understand inflation is everywhere so why complain about it. Everywhere you go and rent from is going to have a rate increase. If you dont like Inflation then maybe some people need to move to other facilities that have less security options and cleanliness and no onsite management. As a Business Man myself, Rate Increases are in place for facilities to be able to maintain and to be able to make the necessary repairs. Other then that the management team is Great, Very Friendly and Helpful. I would recommend Store Smart before the other competitors.

Id give this place a ZERO if I could. Ive had my stuff in storage here since 2014...never once paid late (its on auto draft). They continue to raise my fee. This latest time, I was told it was going up because I have a 10x10 & they are running out of them. Pretty sure that is NOT an ethical business practice. Also, I called at the beginning of December when I got the latest increase notice. I was told the manager wasnt in but would contact me. Its the end of the month and NO PHONE CALL. Big surprise. Ive called 48 times and it only goes to voice mail. I stopped at the place at 2:30 today to talk to someone face-to-face and theres a sign on the door staying they will be bask at 3:10. Im about done. Their customer service is absolutely awful. Also, they dont monitor their units. Their climate control unit was broken and not functioning fir at least TWO months in the past & they let people smoke in the building....now MY belongings stink of smoke!Go elsewhere....somewhere where the company actually WANTS & appreiates your loysl business.

Terrible experience. Was good until they put in the new staff (which seems to happen a lot here) after Kevin left. Him and his assistant (cant remember his name) were always willing to help and were always courteous and polite. The new people over the past year or so have been bad. Plus the company keeps changing their policy and editing the lease, which they claim they can do with written notice. Ive moved my things down the street to 501 mini storage. It has been a lot better so far.

From the first day we came in for information, then we booked a reservation, we came back 2 weeks later and she remembered EVERYTHING for us. Considering we were moving from NJ to SC, she even recommended some places to stay....it made the transition a lot easier knowing her place is safe and secure for our things. she was so very professional, knew every little tid bit of EVERYTHING WITHOUT HESITATION.....really....EVERYTHING:).......TARA, EXCELLENT JOB. Pathetic.....Ive had three increases in one year....Been a customer since 2012 but wont be there much longer. My bill went from 109 per month to 141 per month this year. Three increases in one year, not to mention all the increases before this. I think I started my bill at around 89.00 per month somewhere and now they are racking me over 140 a month for the same unit.Anyway, I normally pay my bill online, so when the latest bill came I paid without hesitation as I normally do. But it wasnt until i printed my receipt I noticed i was charged 155.60. hmmmm.....After further investigation and a a trip to the front office at the store no one could explain why I had the mysterious 15.60 charge on top of the inflated price of 141.00. Unable to refund the 15.60, the gentleman at the counter told me he would make a note on the account and that when I was ready to pay next months rent just come by the office and they would make all the necessary adjustments and credits for 15.60 to get me back on track.On January 26th I stop by the officer to pay and had the pleasure of speaking with Chris at the front counter. He offered me a 15%^ discount but was unable to refund the 15.60 overcharge from the prior month. He told me he didnt see any note on the account about the $15.60 but would process my payment with a 15% discount and that was all.He told me that was all he could do and If i wanted to I can come back the next day and speak to the manager. He also said he was WARNED I would be stopping by. (I dont know what that means, he was warned)After my second trip there now and no satisfaction I left in a huff and slammed the door on my way out. I pulled my car around to the front door and went back in to speak to Chris and asked him if he can call the manager for me so I would not have to make yet a third trip to this office to get this straight. Chris thought about it for a second and said no. In fact he picked up the telephone and threatened to call the police on me because he didnt like my attitude and he felt uncomfortable. (Please)So I said to Chris with the phone in his hand, go ahead and call the police, im just trying to get my bill straight here. He decided NOT to call the police, I guess he had second thoughts about how bad this was going to make him look when it was all over.He looked at me and said, lets calm down and de-escelate the situation. I didnt want to de-escelate the situation, i just wanted to get my bill straightened out and paid on time.Long story short, I finally made him understand that the manger offered me 15% discount to help compensate for the three increases and that I had a refund of 15.60 as well due to me. Chris made me feel like I was trying to cheat or slide something by him, and then when he told me he was warned I would be coming to see him it made me feel like I was being singled out as a customer and discriminated against.Customer service rating from me is a negative 10 out of a possible 10. Ive been a business person for over 25 years, and if I hire employees like this and ran my business like this i would be out of business.Soon my friends you will see. Keep treating your customers like this and you will have the whole storage facility to yourselves before you know it.
