3 stars might be too high. Not mad at you. Its interesting to walk through once in awhile. Probably been here a hundred times and hardly ever bought anything, just never seem to have what I need. Must be for a special sort of crowd. Electronics is a funny business.

Needed a very basic cellphone for my elderly father and Alex S., a manager in mobile sales, was extraordinarily patient and knowledgeable about options, plans and porting Dad’s old info to the new phone. It was a stressful situation for me, but Alex made it easier. Five stars!

Its exact what you expect a Best Buy to be these days: a gaggle of employees socializing at the front of the store, sparse selection of products on the shelves, employees popping out everywhere to offer help when you dont need it and nobody to be found when you do want help with something. We were in the market for a TV, and I researched before going, so we walked in knowing what we wanted. I wouldnt go there to browse though.

Wasnt as much in Home audio or in car audio like the last time I was in a best buy. The last time I was in one would have been in Springfield MO. It closed like 7 or more years ago Im thinking before that was the Des Moines best buy it had a really cool car audio department with alot to choose from.

Everyone of these best buys have gone down hill. You cant even call to see if they really have your item that you put on hold on online is even really there. And have you driving all over to different best buys to see if they even have. And then you voice your frustrations to employees and arent even rude about and get attitude and rudeness back. I will not shop at best buy after this I would rather go somewhere where employees are a little more understanding and not rude. I wish I could give them one star. And even the corporate office is useless. The person I talked to was very unprofessional. You could hear chickens in the background and I have my calls recorded I wish I could put that on here for proof. Its just not what it used to be.

3RD PARTY VENDORS / INSTALLERS. We bought a 65 smart tv, wall mount, installation w/ cables etc. and even joined the Beta on Aug 20. Aug 31 was the earliest they could have it installed by a 3rd party, Sept 1 for Geek Squad; went w/ the vendor (huge mistake). Vendor informs us Aug 31, company vehicles in the shop and Sept 1 is new install. Sept 1 @ 1050ish, vendor calls informing that he still doesnt have vehicle and it will be later that afternoon though. I call him back @ 401 and he has no clue if his vehicle is ready or not andhe has to call his shop. Sounds like hes in a vehicle driving though.Call Beta and find out what the can do. Inform them that I want nothing to do w/ the 3rd party installer and wanted to reschedule install w/ Geek Squad. Installer (3rd party) calls back not even 5 minutes later (501pm) saying he has his vehicle now and they can do it about 7 or 8 that night. Beta says the earlist install date is Sept 8 and they will escalate the ticket. Beta calls back and says they cannot do anything about it and cannot reschedule an earlier date. Went in today and had everything cancelled (Beta) and refunded. Total hassle, loss of time for 2 days, that Beta program might help with somethings but, not this obviously. Dont waste the $199 for it. Also, skip the 3rd party installer for Coralville at al costs.

The store was well lit, and easy to navigate with signs that denote the type of merchandise youre likely to find in each aisle. This is a stark improvement over *other* electronics stores, which are filled with traps and mazes youre expected to traverse while being hunted by wild dogs in the dead of the night.

Kirk, I believe was the young mans name. He wasnt assigned to the phone area but did not hesitate to stop, listen to what I had going on,and attempt to help solve my problem. Again, not his area, but he listened and actually fixed the issue I was having with my phone. Im very pleased with the service and friendly people in the store. I have been two Best Buy twice in the past week. The first time, I wanted to make a slightly complicated exchange, and the employee Tiffany worked hard to make the exchange possible! She answered all of my questions with patience and was very friendly. The second time, I was looking to purchase a new phone. The employee Kevin also answered all of my questions, and while I wasnt able to purchase the phone I wanted to, Kevin directed me on how to purchase online. Overall, the employees at Best Buy offer exceptional customer service - in knowledge, thoroughness, and kindness - and I would recommend anyone in the area to go for their electronic needs!

The worst buying experience Ive ever had.I ordered a GE washer and dryer on 5/24 with a Best Buy Chat Agent. The washer was to be installed on 5/29 and the dryer was set to be installed on 6/11.When I placed my order I requested for my old washer and dryer to be removed. When the guys showed up to deliver my washer they asked to see where it was going to go when I showed the gentleman the area he asked what I was doing with the old washer I said I had requested it be removed he said it wasnt on the order form but begrudgingly said that he could do it. He was very annoyed about it. He told me the washer door was going to be on the wrong side (my washer hook-ups are on the right of the dryer, which is why I specifically bought front load machines with reversible doors. He initially said the doors could not be reversed, when I told him that was incorrect because that was the main reason for purchasing this pair he then stated that if they are reversed it voids the warranty, they leak and it is an extra charge. After this I told him I was going to get my husband and discuss it with him because if that was true I didnt want the pair. Once my husband came to speak with him he had called his boss and turns out they can reverse the door without charge and it doesnt void the warranty.While reversing the door to our washer he broke it. He was able to get it functional but I was pretty annoyed my brand new washer was broken. They scheduled a time to come back and fix the washer door that they had broke for the 6/4. The next time he came back he seemed friendlier and we did get the issue resolved he also helped my husband put the washer on the pedestal which we appreciated.The dryer was supposed to be installed on June 11th it was delivered on June 10th with no notice by two gentlemen. When I tried to show them where it needed to go they said they wouldnt bring it inside and said that there would be another person to come along and install the dryer later that day. For some reason they marked the job as completed including installation and no one ever came along. I called Best Buy and they said that wasnt accurate and that those gentlemen were the ones who were supposed to install it and that they must have not wanted to do it. (Also should be noted the only reason my dryer delivery was scheduled a week later than the washer was for INSTALLATION.)So my appointment got pushed out ANOTHER 5 days to the June 17th while the dryer sat in my garage. My husband and I decided to unpack the dryer and set it up inside so it would be easier for whoever came the next day. (Even though we paid for delivery and installation, meaning brought into our home) I called at 10:30am to confirm my 7:00am-1:30pm appointment. My appointment time frame came and went with no calls from the company coming to install it. I reached out to Best Buy again at 1:30pm and was told that my appointment is still on and they are just running late, someone would call and be on their way within 30 mins. After over an hour I called Best Buy again. After waiting and being stuck on the phone with an agent for an hour he offered to call me back in 15 minutes while he investigated and called the installers. After about a half hour he called back and let me know my appointment had been canceled. They rescheduled for Saturday 19th, which I can make work but they didnt call or anything scheduled it without notice. I have to be stuck at home FIVE DIFFERENT DAYS waiting for this Washer and Dryer set to be installed. (2 for the washer and 3 now for the dryer) The dryer was delivered on June 10th, 9 days will have passed by the time it is installed, assuming they show up on the 19th which means I get 9 less days of my return window to make sure my dryer works correctly. To say I am mad is an understatement. This has been the WORST BUYING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. As of right now I have a dryer blocking one of my hall ways.... waiting for someone to come install it, which I paid to have done........ my lesson DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM BEST BUY.

Trying to talk to the store on the phone is impossible, called three times on hold about 30 minutes each time before I gave up. Had better service with samsung. But they sent my credit back to Best buy. Now I cant find out if they got it so I can get my very expressive TV replaced or if they want the old one. Very angry with best buy.

There food was fantastic, however I ordered two Whopper jr. With cheese and bacon, they failed to put the Cheese on my burgers, that was disappointing, because I even ask the guy for confirmation that he was outing cheese and bacon on my burgers, and he said yes, also they charged me for Big Whoppers even though I ordered the small ones. There food is in my opinion Absolutely Amazing though, I Love everything About Burger King, except there Golden Nuggets, if they were made with real chicken that would be a good thing. The current Golden Nuggets are in my opinion gross and disgusting.

My order has been at the target all day and for some reason I’m still not able to pick up my item on the scheduled day. As a person that spends as much money as I do with this place I’m extremely upset and won’t be shopping here anymore after this. 💯

Well the greatest of brick-and- moryar stores in the midwest, with price matching online prices at legitimate online stores. Good variety I like to buy things with warranty here like PC power supplies, monitors and stuff I would miss too badly to wait for a week for online RMA/Replacements. Great store, Ive always liked Best Buy, staff is always helpful, most are very knowledgable on products, manufacturing, and effectively using your products. Geek squad is ok, alittle op on some things- but i digress I do all my own PC repairs. Overall good staff, and decent prices for everything I like to purchase. Oh yea dont forget to check out the clearance aisle if you are hunting for an tv or monitors. Cheers

I talked to the customer service and they gave me the email of the store and pointed that the store has received the package.I contacted the store by email and they didnt respond at all. The people at the store are great, but you need to go in-person if you want to talk to someone. I may have dropped a personal item at the store but I have been on hold for more than 30 minutes each time I try to talk to someone on the phone to ask. Apparently you need to go in person during our hot-zone pandemic to talk to a human. After a 38 minute hold, they cut me off before I was able to ask my question. I don’t know why they don’t put more resources into phone or live chat since it would keep people from the COVID-19 risk of returning.

Terrible phone service. I dont know if this is for reviewing the store alone or all its services... but the phone service is horrendous.You literally never get to speak with somebody. The recording is slow as hell and talks way too long about all kinds of useless nonsense instead of just getting to the point of what button to press for what department.It is a marathon test of patience that is completely disrespectful of the customers time. Lets not even talk about the ungodly hold times once youre done with the gauntlet of useless robot recoding drivel.A single small call center must receive all the calls from all the Best Buys in the US, because it sure seems like it.

This place is a joke I tried ording something online twice both times i got a receipt like the order went through and both times I got email saying order was canceled then I thought to myself maybe if I drive 3 and a half hrs away to go to store all will be good so I did just that I placed my order for almost 2grand spent another 200 bucks on a new monitor and also spent 200 for their great membership deal and guess what that also got canceled due to something on their end so know Im waiting for over 3 grand to be put back into my account because they cant do their job 0/10 would not reccomend Ill be going to newegg to build my own for cheaper cost and wont have to worry about it being canceled!!

Today I ordered 2 movies, and didn’t realize that it was in store pick up. When I noticed it in my email, I quickly called the store. A young man named Aaron ( I hope this is the way you spell your name and that you are the only Aaron in this store), picked up my call. I have to say that this young man made a huge impression on me! He handled my issue perfectly and did seemingly very genuine. This is the BEST customer service I have ever had, and he probably doesn’t even understand it, because he probably does this all the time. Great job!! Thank you Aaron, you made this old lady’s day!

Regarding Geek Squads Apple Certified Repairs.I had an appointment scheduled for Friday 5:20 slot. Arrived a little early. Got checked in for a battery replacement on my iPhone X. Was informed that all the techs are on their way out for the day. Was rescheduled to drop off the phone Sunday morning right when opening. Was informed Friday that the repair would only take approximately 1 hour to repair as I would be first in the queue for repairs Sunday morning. Arrived promptly upon doors opening at 10am Sunday morning. Checked in to drop off phone only to be told the techs wouldn’t arrive for another 2 hours, inconvenient but I accepted. The representative didn’t have a set time for me to come back for the completed repair but said it shouldn’t be a problem getting it done before 5pm that day. I continued on with my day. Came in around 5pm to check on the status of the repair only to find out it hadn’t even been started yet. My advice is take your repair to Apple directly. The wait times to be seen are minimum 20 minutes upon each arrival of the store. It’s clear they should not be accepting more work than they can handle.

I love Best Buy. But this specific store is not my favorite. I left the store after buying a phone case and must have dropped my AirPods there. My find my phone app says they’re there so I called and they STILL CANT ANSWER A PHONE CALL. I would just show up but I’m in the quad cities now. A simple “ one sec sir we are busy at the moment” would have worked, but to hear their damn static music and advertisement drove me crazy. I guess I will pray they’re there tomorrow on my way home. Thanks Best Buy for your help...

I ordered a Surface Book 2 from Best Buy Online. This was shipped from this store and was received with no charger. I have tried to contact Best Buy Online who said it was Coralvilles store issue that the box was improperly marked and no charger was received. After speaking with the store associate, the Geek Squad Manager, and Best Buy Online, I am still out a $100 charger for my $2100 computer. No solution has been reached!

The store has adjusted well to the contactless sales and service. I was able to order an item easily and was notified by text when it was ready for pick up. When I arrived at the store the pickup line was clearly marked and my item was brought out quickly.

Phone buyers beware. There needs to be a zero star option. Ordered a phone online with a confirmation that it would be ready within an hour. After two hours - and having arrived at the store to pick up other items on my order - I was told that no one in the store had access to the iPhones. I made my second trip this morning after receiving an email saying it was ready and picked it up curbside as that was my only given option. I will now be going back to the store a THIRD time because they did not scan my phone and sim card prior to throwing it in the car which renders it useless and unable to activate. I have spent over 45 min on virtual chat over this matter - made one 55 min phone call to what I thought was the local number (it isnt - you cant reach the local store anymore - national clearinghouse only) and made three trips when I should have just driven to Verizon. Beyond ridiculous.

Absolutely amazing experience! Purchased my son an iPhone 11 Pro Max for Christmas. After having a terrible experience at a previous store, we took our chances and drove the 40 minutes to this Best Buy. So happy we did. From the moment we walked in, we received fast and friendly service. Brady, the Verizon expert was brought in to help us with our account. Purchasing our sons phone was quick, easy and we actually left laughing.
