I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOP!! I don’t know any other shop in corpus that has a machine to resurface an aluminum head. Other places that I’ve gone to and ask questions, they’ve used a BELT SANDER!?! Don’t ever have a shop use a belt sander! Bruce and his brother did a great job. I took in my 4g63T aluminum cylinder head-16 valve dual over head cam- for a valve job, cut, pressure test, and cleaning.I upgraded the internals with kiggly high pressure beehive springs, Manley valves and supertech valve seals. I provided ALL spec cards, including the card for the cams I was installing.(he did not need the cams, only provided the specs to be on safe side and measure for all clearances)Don’t ever rush work! Took 2 weeks, just right after the freeze we had here, (I dropped off the head on a Tuesday) very understandable that they had work, no biggie at all! Picked up, inspected everything and was perfect.Went home and went to work reinstalling the rest of the internals... few days later, fired up and Everything went smoothly. Cams and spring combo were PERFECT.Bruce was very helpful. I had 2 heads, one I didn’t want to use because a previous shop cracked my valve guide housing, the other I needed a cam journal repaired, had scoring. Took booth and said couldn’t repair the scored journal-understandable didn’t have the machine, other said was good because it’s pressed(valve guide) that oil seep would not be the cause I was having(improper seals installed-previous installer).He took time from his work to help with that decision, which is the head(listed above) to be worked on. Was never rude or tried rushing me out of his shop.I will be doing work with him and his brother in the future with any type of machining work. (His shop is in very back)I went to 4 different shops and called others before finally making my choice to do business with them. Give these guys a call or stop by for your engine build needs👍🏼👍🏼
