Another perfect job by these guys
2 jobs needed to be done, engine head valve guides, and lower block balance shaft bearings. Had replaced 4 valve guides with new performance ones. When receiving the head back, I noticed on one of the seats it was cracked Not good at all. I know a air hammer was likely used(maybe a press idk) and who ever did the job was not careful at all! Another time I needed a balance shaft bearing installed, when receiving the block back, I inspected the bearings and saw 1 bearing oil port was not correctly lined up(centered with the port), another poorly job done by one of the workers. I stopped doing business with these guys. Jerrid is cool, but the other guys I cant speak for.Inspect your part when receiving it back.Edit: 1/21/20Since this was a awhile back of having some parts done. Was 8 exhaust guides. I didn’t recall because was quite some time ago. Car was done recently, of this year, I was building the motor and restoring the car.Photos are from piston one exhaust valve number 2 on a 4g63T. Valve guides were bronze shorty with stoppers. And was wrongfully inserted. Was pressed or hammered in with too much down force.I disassembled my block, removed the fallowing lock, retainer, spring and seat. Photos show the outcome of a failed installation service, and few more that are leaking from the guides as shown.Edit: 11/23/21 found another crack that I wasn’t able to see looked like debris but closer look you can see the hairline crack. I swear this shop cost me hundreds. Paid for the dam guide installation, did a head resurface and valve job. Now I’m back to square one. Thanks a lot. Jarred please have your workers triple check everything man. Uncalled for!!!!Photo is left to show...
Best machine shop in town
Took my Dodge 318 project engine in for machine work. They turned out some awesome work for me and I have done repeat business with Jerrod since. Jerrod is a awesome machinist and can handle any of your engine work as he has been in the business hands on for over 25 years and knows engines, hot rods and hot rodding inside and out. They are the very best in the business.
Great guy good service always has my stuff ready has everything I need and more
Excellent I have been doing business with this machine shop for years and always great experience
Great work
Great service and detailed work
The best in the business and good turn out every time for15 year
I’m the owner of an automotive shop in town and I’ve been getting cylinder heads rebuilt here for years . They do great work!
Took a 440 mopar in here because he said he had a torque plate. Had them bore it out 30 over i got the engine block back he said i had a rare condition in the block due to high carbon in the casting and it caused pitting evenly throughout all 8 cylinders and was told it was fine and i could run the engine as it was. Got a second opinion from 2 other shops in town both of whom said they have never herd of such thing and they say it looks like they used dull tools to machine it and that they dont think they used a torque plate like i paid for. Now i have to have some one else go 40 over and hope it cleans up. They also messed up the bevel at the top of the cylinder. These guys trashed my block refused to give me my money back and lied to me about my block. I also just found out about another guy who took a 5.7 to them and had the same thing happen. If i was you i would avoid this shop amd try the another machine shop in town.
Damn fine job yall did for me, thank you and look forward to doing more for business with you if I have any more problems with my other equipment.
