I wouldn’t get into politics with the gun stuff. I have my handgun license for years and basically buy all my beef from you guys. I understand not wanting people to open carry as I do not. Your sign is not legal signage and people can carry inside your store if they choose to do so. Looks to me like you are picking a political side so you lost a very loyal customer and will probably lose more. That is not true about the TABC, we can’t carry if a business sells open beverages ( a bar) that makes over 51% of $ from alcohol. I can carry in a liquor store if concealed legally.

The rancid smell left on the bags alone had my stomach turning. Benefit of the doubt, cooked the meat (fajita pinwheel) and instantly could tell that meat was bad. Threw it out.

Second time we have purchased meat from there that has been bad. Last time we will purchase from Staples Meat Market. Never had that problem at Moodys.

I knew someone that worked there. The details are gross, but in a nutshell, avoid the chicken, the jalapeno poppers, and especially the chorizo. Oh, and we know a lot of ppl at NAS, theyve already been told to avoid you and spread the word.

Very clean and just love the smell of meat! Staff is very helpful, the meat bar is full and has a variety for your choosing. Also has all other items for your Sunday Family BBQ party!

We’ll stocked and serviced meet market, includes everything you need for a bbq/cookout. The grocery portion of the business has a great variety for a close to home neighborhood store. I’ve been a long time customer here and have rarely had a less than stellar experience.

Mr Jones is correct about the no gun sign and TABC. You are not a bar and the blue TABC and blue sales signs were removed from existence on September 1st with the permitless carry bill.The only reason to post a no gun sign on your premises is because you dont want gun owners at your business. Take down the useless sign or post 30.05,6, and 7 and make your values clear.The response shows the owner is ignoring reality. The only permit on record now is a blue sales license which doesnt affect guns any longer. If they had a on premise license before, that also would have been blue, not red. That permit no longer exists though.License number is BG652113 if you want to see.

Ribeye steaks are either over 2in thick, or 1/2in thin, literally no in-between, staff is made up of young people absolutely devoid of customer service skills. This place offers nothing special you cant find at HEB or Moodys.Response: I asked for a steak thinner than your thickest.... you cut a thick steak in half, and sold me the entire steak, in two pieces. HEB pulled a whole rack of ribeye and asked me which end to cut off and how thick, like I said, nothing special here.

I’ve always been a big fan of Staples Street. I’ve been a customer here for years until recently. The last two times I shopped here the first being for angus fajitas and the last being for angus ribeyes yielded the exact same spoiled smell of meat. Even when the meat is cooked, you cannot get rid of the spoiled smell the meat stays with. I politely called and let the young lady know each time and both times she offered me a chance to bring the product back in exchange but I refused. I threw everything away to save the upset stomachs I knew that meat would cause.

The best steaks in Corpus Christi! They are building a new place down the road because they need more space and parking. It is worth the effort to get to and enjoy a great old school butcher shop. Shop local and you will not be disappointed.

Was a nice ride. A little to far. The staff was friendly. But, its just like the other Mexican Meat Markets closer to where I live. Ive been trying to find an actual real meet Markets. I need to find lean meat.

Would like to share my experience of a purchase made this past Thursday inpreparation of the 4th of July weekend. I would rather go in person to discuss. I still have some of the product in my freezer if you would like me to bring along.

Yesterday right after owner left. I was Seeking 80 lbs of a hamburger specific to my needs and monthly freezer restock. Young Man was an AZZ. I wanted pan / breakfast sausage first!. He states, No, what we have is over there. What a little . Well finding a new Meat market.What has happened ? Young Man lost a huge order but seems he made the call owner did not need it. Mike I didnt get to the cutters nor offered. I wanted to know if it was possible and time frame. It wasnt a last minute thought . 8njuries are question s prior order placement. So your reply seeks proving other than what took place or resolves. I wanted this service done locally instead of Luling.

Went in and purchased a Texas Grilling Pack last Friday. Got home, and saw the pork ribs were in a tie bag and had leaked blood all over everything else in the box. Not a big deal to me, but when we got home, I proceeded to vacuum seal everything we didnt want that day. Opened the whole chicken, it smelled rotten! Then started sealing the steaks and burgers. Smelled ok at the time. Froze the beef ribs, havent looked at them yet. But today 6/23 thawed out some steaks and you guessed it! Rotten.... After inspection on the rest of the meat, it was gone as well. We did have the sirlion burgers that night and they are wonderful. But everything else was not. So sorry to say but $85 down the drain. Thats why they have 2 stars from me. Very disappointing, guess Ill have to stick with HEB for my meat needs. Hope this helps someone.

It was a madd house as it was Fathers day, the meat I got was good, little pricey, but you get what you pay for and my BBQ, turned out awesome as always from the feedback from my guest.... And Happy belated Fathers day to all the Pops in CC Town and surrounding areas....

Friendly staff and very quick service during the week.

I took my deer here this past season to get it processed and was pretty upset with the outcome. First, I asked for 15 lbs of breakfast sausage and only received 8 lbs (not a big deal). Secondly, I feel as if I didnt receive near the amount of meat I should have for the entire deer. I shot a similar sized deer a month prior and took it to a place called Schotts Meat Market in the Hill Country and received almost double the amount of meat I received from Staples Street. What really set me off was when I got home to unload the meat in my freezer, the vacuum seal they used was not properly sealed on any of my 2 lb packages of meat. There was blood all over the outside of the packages and inside my cooler. They must have had the amateur crew working that weekend. Lastly, Im not saying it is or isnt because I cant prove it, but my ground venison tastes just like ground beef. Needless to say, I wont be taking meat here to be processed anymore.Response to owner: Heres a package of one that has blood on the label and air inside the vacuum seal. You think I use my actual name on Google?

We have been going here for a while. The customer service is great, they will answer any questions that you have regarding the meat, how to cook it, etc. The quality of food is amazing, we can definitely tell a difference when we compare it to regular grocery store meat. We will continue to shop here.

Sorry to tell you all, at Staples St. Meat Market, your hamburger patties; stinky and brown meat. Ive heard of this happening before. Nasty meat. God Bless you all the people that shop there to help them stay alive in their business. Never again I cant afford to get people ill. What a disappoint for the invited guests. Embarrassment to us for not checking out the meat that was being wrapped for us to purchase. 😤😣😥

This place has some of the best steaks Ive ever purchased. Great meat, very tender. I bought a tomahawk steak because I was curious, had never had one. It is outstandingly tender. My husband is patting himself on the back because he was the barbecue master. 😊

My venison hamburger was awesome, packaged very well. I gave some away to family and they keep coming back for more. Thanks Staples Street Meet for giving us quality meet. This year I will harvest 2 deer and have double the meet.

Beautiful selection of everything from stuffed chicken with corn bread, stuffed jalapenos, good quality steaks, sasauge (many flavors) and the ground beef is excellent. They sell all different types of soft drinks and many brands of beer. Best staff there too. Its a great place to shop.

Yes, vast selection of meat.... not the greatest quality but whatever, I can get past that. But the customer service, unacceptable!The customer service, terrible! Especially the smart aleck kid they have behind the counter. He thinks he’s funny with him and his gang of friends moping behind the meat counter. Don’t ask any in depth questions or you’ll be made out as a joke.... even though when you ask a serious question half of them don’t know the answer and you have to force them to ask somebody worth anything.Go to Moody’s Quality Meat if you can. Always outstanding customer service, better quality meat, and you will not be turned into the joke of the day even though the joke is on them!

We got jalapeño poppers the bacon didn’t taste too good tasted like burnt oil. We also got a lb of bacon we asked for thick what they gave us was smaller then H‑E‑B bacon

Excellent choice of meat cuts. Steaks look great. Most important for me is serve time. Time it took to get what I wanted was miniscule. Quality is important to me and so is my time. They have plenty of staff to fill your needs takes me longer to get my fast food order than it took for them to get my steaks wrapped up and get me out the door. This was first time in this market and definitely will not be my last. All my future meat purchases will get filled here. Will recommend to all my friends. Love this market located at just the right spot on the south side of town. Customer service is top notch just like the meat and poultry sold. They stock many pantry items, snacks and ice cream along with a better than average choice of beer and wine. It saves me time and money as well as multiple trips to the Plus grocery store every week.

Always the best quality meat. And the staff is so helpful and friendly. There is always someone behind the meat counter ready to help me with no wait. And the cashiers are so sweet. Natalie is my favorite! Such a doll. Always happy to support local business, especially when the quality is top notch. I hate driving to the South Side, but Im willing to do it for the unmatched service I get here.

Awesome place to buy all your steaks. They sell high quality meat and good customer service. Its my go to spot for deals and steals as well.

Ive always had good experiences here in the past but today I was met by genuinely unpleasant staff that sold us malformed patties with about half the meet of a standard size hidden under 2 normal patties making 4/6 of them unservable. Staff under the age of 30 acted like they wanted us to get out of their store and was visibly disgusted by our have a nice day. I even though this meat market is much closer and more convenient, I will probably only shop at Moodys Meats from now on.

I was very impressed and liked the selection of beef/ meats they have. Cabrito, Rabbit, Bison, Quail, etc. Its worth the drive. My new meat market.

Best market in town. It is a one stop shop for all your grilling/smoking needs. They also sell wine and beer. Veggies and assorted appetizers. You can also fine some hard to find things here. They have crazy AWESOME deals. Check their FB site for the weekend deals.

Great selection if meats but other priducts like Macaroni & Cheese are pricey. The staff is wonderful and polite and the store is clean and orderly.

Been over a year since my horrible experience but I figured I’ve waited long enough to share my experience. Dropped off a deer for processing, waited a few weeks and never heard back, called them and they were “working on it.” Made several more calls, same thing every time. So about 3-4 months after I dropped it off I go by and they say they’ve called and I never got back them to them so they gave it away. Meanwhile one of the younger guys finds one box of meat with my name on it. I overpay for that one box and they swear they’ll call me when they find more. Never heard from them again and won’t ever go back. Owner was the one I dealt with, nothing good to say about my experience with him.

Good meat market, but sadly, no one was wearing masks, including all of the people that work there and zero social distancing. Scary situation at Staples street meat market, as if it wasnt already scary enough in the world already.What is so hard about wearing a mask to show compassion for those in humanity that may not be able to survive a covid 19 infection.

We go to this store for variety of meat at a reasonable price. Steak from this place is pretty awesome. I was also surprised that they carry goat and lamb meat when I was searching to cooked some special menu. These are hard to find. The customer service is fantastic and they go above and beyond to help you out. We’ve been here numerous times and we never had any single bad experience. I highly recommend this meat market to anyone!

My husband shops here frequent. The ribeye steaks are great but everytime he buys the pkged ham steaks and sausages, there is always 1 or 2 that smell and are bad even if the expiration date isnt expired. Got pork chops and had to return them the next day, they smelled and were bad. The area that they keep the chicken doesnt look clean especially all around the glass doors, its dark grime.

My rating for this place would normally be 3.5 stars, every time I see their filet mignon they just dont seem quite cut right. Its just not as high a quality of butchering as at Moodys Meats. Thats not to say its bad, just that it could be better. However theyre open on Sundays and as someone who typically works 70 hours a week thats a big deal for me.

Everyone is doing a great job there very alert and attentive. Bought some NY strip steaks and seedless jalapeño poppers cant wait till tomorrow to actually eat them 🌶️🍽️

Been going to see Mike at Staples Meat market for a little over four years now. Every Sunday my wife and I make Staples meat market a “must stop” to gather all of our meat and poultry necessities and at times even find ourselves shopping the grocery isles. In the four years we have never had an issue until today where we found our ground beef Carried a distinct smell. Unsure of what to do we called Mike and Ethan out at Staples MM and they made the experience as pleasant as possible. They replaced the meat no questions asked and reassured me once again that their meat carries no preservatives and is top of the line. Truth is the Meat Market has been slammed packed serving the community throughout this Covid-19 ordeal and with the amount of meat that comes and goes this was bound to happen. In statistics we call it an outlier because Staples MM has been NOTHING but exceptional to my family and I. Thank you Mike My wife and I wear your company’s hat proudly and you sir did not disappoint. We look forward to the continued Sunday visits. Your customer service is a reflection of the product you serve....SUPERB!!

This is our local go to meat market. Their meats and cuts are fantastic. They have a huge selection of delicious jalapeno poppers both seeded and without. Its near the house and the hours are convenient. They also have a good amount of groceries as well. Theres always a good staff working and never a wait.

This store seems to have everything you need to grill as much as I do. I go there on average three times a week, and Ive never had bad service. The meat is always fresh too. I will continue going there to buy all my meat as well, as long as it remains open which I dont see ever being a problem.
