Went there 11-4 after dinner and staff was very rude. We walked out without ordering.

I was happy to see this gelateria used pre-gel products, which are okay, but then I tried the gelato. The flavors were off, the texas pecan tasted more like raisin, the chocolate tasted like peanuts. Overall i was neither impressed with service [the dude was kind of rude] nor with the gelato missing the creamy and smooth feeling of good Italian gelato... Sorry guys, Id rather have HEB ice cream.

Cute gelato shop located right on the island. Our family needed gluten free items and the staff were very helpful in identifying exactly which flavors could be safely eaten. The gelato itself was tasty.

We tried the crepe (plain) with butter pecan gelato - OUT OF THIS WORLD! Warm, tender, fresh crepe made on a French crepe maker (according to one of the sweet owners), creamy butter pecan gelato, with a side of stawberries and whipped cream. We also had the Hawaiian Brio, advertised as a gelato filled donut. The breading was more like a warmed hawaiian bun. I had it with chocolate sauce and fantastic coffee gelato. Although the brio was good, the fresh crepe stole the show! Well make this a must-stop every time we visit N. Padre!

Lots of choices...all were great! Cant wait to go back and try a bigger dessert. We only got scoops.

Amazing place, both the one in HEB and this one on the island. I got a waffle with gelato and nutella with strawberries and bananas. Was one of the best waffles Ive ever had. The waffle was sweet and fluffy, tasted like the batter was homemade. The gelato was fantastic and went perfectly with my waffle.For the HEB location, the gelato is the same as this location and delicious. The coffee at the HEB location is stellar and I reccomend going there when you are over in flour bluff!Both locations are amazing and I cant wait for my next treat at either location!

Had been wanting this experience, now my joy is complete. Miz Chef V has an agile imagination and skill, she cooks! I dont know what taste others seek, I just know her blood orange sorbet rocks, the cherry/fig combo is killer, and I would walk there for the lemon/blueberry combo, and thats not even chocolate! Plus she welcomes you back even if its your first visit. Tre yaya!

Brought a family of 5 in. We pretty much tried every flavor and loved each one! Cherry Almond Fudge was my favorite! The owner was friendly and down-to-earth. She let my 3 kids go crazy with sampling. Lol :) Will be back next time were in town.

$12 for a cup of gelato with no toppings and a small cup of cheap coffee. When I asked for a stirring straw, the person there, handed it to me with their bare hand. First and last time will ever go there.

Love their vanilla bean and pink grapefruit we went by there today they were closed but inside wrapping things up to go to world food competition in dallas. They were so nice took our order anyway and sent us off with 5 different kinds of gelato and some fantastic patries! Thanks so much and best of luck!

This place is outstanding and the staff is friendly. Each flavor I tasted was really good and the lemon sorbet was awesome. It is a little pricey in my opinion but totally worth it at least once

The food itself was pretty good, but the service experience was terrible. There was only one person working and the indoor area is tiny. When we came in there was an unattended mop bucket in the middle of the dining room that took up a large portion of the walkway. The one employee was trying her best but was unable to keep up with customers resulting in a bottleneck of biblical proportions. I will never eat here again.

Best place ever. Great food, yummy desserts and excellent customer service!We stopped by during our honeymoon trip, and I honestly cant stop thinking about everything we ate, the panini, the waffle with the gelato and the coffee. Everything was made fresh and exceed our expectations...Thank you for making us feel like family! Will be back with kiddos.

I once read this was one of Texas best places for a cool treat. Skeptical because I read this on the internet, I went for myself. Definitely worth the trip, I suggest you try the everything, its all amazing!

Very small shop. Not a lot of options. Prices are not low. That said they are exceedingly friendly and all of their crepes, gelato, and panini sandwich options were delicious. I was able to eat a dairy free chocolate gelato made from almond milk which was absolutely fantastic. There are also dairy free & gluten free gelato options. I was very happy with this place.

Delightful gelateria! Chef Vita creates delicious custom flavors and the texture of the Gelato is just like Europe. Make it a meal with a panini or crepe. Love this place!

Tried this place for the first time and immediately fell in love with their gelato! Took my boyfriend for his birthday. Let’s just say we’ll be coming here again! We tried the s’mores, raspberry, and blueberry gelato. They even have to go pints, to satisfy for later cravings :) #needthisforver

You cant make a trip to Padre Island without stopping at A La Mode. They have the best selection of Gelato, with extremely unique flavors as well as dairy free and vegan options. There are other desserts such as crepes, and you can also grab a bite to eat since they offer paninis and sandwiches. The Vegan Pina Colada, Dairy Free Ferrero Rocher, and Oreo Cheesecake gelato flavors were by far the best dessert selections my girlfriend and I have ever had.
