Friendly pub with a lovely beer garden. They serve food but not much for a vegetarian or vegan. A little more effort with the menu and atmosphere it would get a 5

The new owner has really turned this pub around. It used to be dark and oppressive and as a single lady I always felt uncomfortable walking in. Now my son and I love sitting in the garden together and seeing the lovely meadow garden. The food is great value and tastes fresh too. It really does have a friendly family feel about the place. I’m glad to now have a decent local pub for us to enjoy!

Nice local pub that is easy to get to by foot, if you live in Cranham or Upminster. We went on the day they had an Amy Winehouse tribute, who didnt have as many tattoos but she did sound like her. Got loads of people dancing anyway. Standard selection of beer for the area but thats fine. Just good to see people in there enjoying themselves.

Booked the marquee but it had been removed when we arrived so had to go inside the pub instead. Food was nice but it was really noisy so found it difficult to hold decent conversations. Shame really as this was our first group outing since lockdown.

Left here when my parents couldnt be bothered to parent me. Was parented by the mini egg machine and the condom dispenser. fell out of a tree and died.

Popped in here for lunch on a weekend and sat in the big garden to enjoy some sun. Food was delicious, esp the halloumi fries - huge portion and soooo good! Also got a burger and pesto chicken wrap, wrap wasnt amazing but defs very generous with the chicken, great burger. Service was friendly and the garden is a lovely place to relax, very open, and lots of seating

The landlord and landlady are nice, and make a lovely cup of tea when we deliver there beer.

The food at this place is incredible i ordered the daddy burger which is not even the biggest one and it was huge get great value for money and the taste was so good had my mouth watering. L&E kitchen is the company running the kitchen take a bow excellent work. The pub is great nice set out dispite covid and very warm and welcoming.

Great people. Denise and Glenn run the pub. Fabulous crowd. Big pub. Gardens lovely . The artist singing was out of this world. Had a great evening. Drinks reasonable. Parking good.

Fantastic beer garden & lovely staff. Tables are spread out to allow social distancing & the bar is set up with a safe queueing system. Staff are constantly cleaning and disinfecting tables. It has always been a great pub & covid hasnt gotten in the way of that.

We enjoy the thursday night quiz here though the drinks could be better and patrons are not great at complying with social distancing regulations amd instructions. We will give it a while until we go back.

Since new company have taken over with new management Glenn and Denise and staff the atmosphere has changed dramatically for the best. The pub is now buzzing with families and local people and once the kitchen is up and running it’s what Cranham needed. It has a warm friendly atmosphere definitely worth a try.(though you can’t always please everyone)

First time I have been in the PUB for years. But very friendly staff and good service. I will be back again soon

I just randomly popped in today to ask for directions, the barmaid was so friendly and helpful, that I stayed for a quick pint of Fosters and I burger and chips. The fosters was very good. The burger was simple, large and very tasty. Overall it was a very pleasant 1 hr stay

Had a sunday meal for 20 people ( 17 adults and 3 kids) some didnt want a roast !!.... Extremely impressed with the choice of menu, and all the choices were fantastic !!!....everyone was impressed, and will be going back !!...... Sincere thanks to Glenn and Denise, great pub, quality food !!..... SO lucky to have a proper pub to visit for a drink, and SO much more !!!

Lovely relaxed local pub,serving a various selection of food on its menu. Glenn and denise who run this place are a lovely couple who have made the Golden Crane a very welcoming place to visit, as they did with the Plough which was their previous pub.well worth a visit.

I cant believe the change of atmosphere in this pub. Friendly staff, great food, entertainment with a clean environment. Childrens play area refurbished a treat. Well done Glenn and Denise and all the staff.

What a great night, it is marvellous that the locals are supporting a very good cause. The music from The OLD STREET ROCKERS is great. The atmosphere is like the Old East End Saturday nights. Hope we raise loads of Dosh for the Brain Tumour Charity . Well done the great staff for the great service.

I was very surprised at the adverse comments the lady made on face book this morning. As the management and all the staff at the Golden Crane are always very polite and helpful to all there customers.

Spent a couple of hours in the pub, I had a very good gin and tonic, one of the bestI have tasted. Partner had Guinness which can be hit and miss said it was excellent.

The pub is nice, but the customer service wasnt. The quiz machine broke, and we had money left inside. Rather than give us our money, the staff just refused and said they could call the engineer. Who wouldnt be available for days. I like the Crane, but it was a shame the customer service wasnt better.

Just to let everyone know, the Golden Crane is now under new management. It has been clean up and refurbished and is now a fantastic place to visit. Their food menu is delicious and the staff and extremely friendly and helpful! Trade is increasing day by day as people in the local community realise that there are new owners running the place. With weekly events such as live music, karaoke, pool nights, quiz nights and BBQs, this really is a fantastic pub to visit!

Get little pub,that is dog friendly and child friendly, not a huge selection of drink or food but what they do have they do well,most of the staff are friendly but I have had an encounter with one staff member who had a bit of an attitude but it wont stop me going back

My son had a last minute 40 birthday party, the golden crane pulled all the stops out to Make shore the night went off with out a problem the buffet was very good The staff 10/10 The welcome very warm .

Since Bill took control of the Golden Crane, he has cleaned up the pub and is now a pleasure to go for a decent pint.
