The pharmacy is great, helpful and truly care about there customers. Was helping a friend out the other night she couldnt get to her meds before they closed so I went for her in hopes somebody was still there. Thankfully there was. I appreciate this man helping me get my friends script even though he was closed and super busy. Truly appreciate him and so does my friend. Its nice to be treated like equals and that people do actually care about others.
Just had the worst shopping trip ever. I only went in for a few items and was there for an hour. One checker (besides self checkout) and only one person on line before me. Several items had to be entered manually, the checker had trouble reading the prices, the customer asked for something but could only whisper and the checker couldnt hear, then the checker could not figure out why it wouldnt let him enter the cash. During this they opened another checkstand but did not take the people that were waiting in line first while this was going on. Also the checker did not bag the previous customers groceries because he had his own bags and the customer was not bagging while this was going on. I was stick there for almost 20 minutes.Worst customer service. Downtown deserves better .
I did self check and I put my phone in and scanned 1 item then the screen went blank and she yelled at me it was closed. Why did she close it after I started? She definitely was having a bad day.
I wish I could give them 6 stars! Hailie (spelling?) was the most helpful goddess ever. I sincerely appreciate all of the wonderful employees and the wonderful store they have cultivated.
For the longest time this has been the only Safeway I have shopped at. I know many of the employees by name and they know mine. That changed yesterday because I will never come back to this location. There were absolutely zero people at the registers and only the self checkouts were being used. The store has 3…When I finally got there with a full cart there were no bags. I asked if I could go to the register because I had so many groceries and the woman loudly said NO! When I asked why she let out a loud sigh and said it was my prerogative to shop at another store and walked away.I have asthma so I’m still wearing a mask and I was so frustrated and had to attempt to communicate with her so much I had an asthma attack. I walked to the deli counter because I talk to those ladies every day and reported it, while hardly able to breath.Maybe it comes down to them not caring because you don’t pay them a livable wage. Maybe they’re frustrated but I’ve been frustrated and never treated a customer like this.
Not as fancy as some Safeways, but adequately stocked with the things you need. Ive been parked next to the store for seven hours now (pulling an all nighter) and have watched several shoppers walk from the neighborhood into the store. Having this store close by must be a real benefit. The other stores in town would be quite a walk from here, or involve the bus, so I hope this store stays around.
Another grocery store, the employees I ask for help finding a few items were very helpful
Its a Safeway. Kinda surprised this location put in self checkout before the store on Circle Blvd
If you want to stand in the “express” line for 45 minutes this is a great store. They only ever have one check stand open, the rest must just be for decoration because there can be 15 people in line and they still don’t open another one.
I went there to get soda and some fruit for an office lunch. They had an end cap special of three 12-packs of Coke products getting one free. Well I guess it wasnt really exactly free I usually pay about four bucks for a 12-pack and they charge $7.29
Ive always loved safeway, one of my favorite places to shop
Checker number 1, her name is terry. She is absolutely rude. She flipped me off (gave me the finger) in the parking lot after her shift. For no reason whatsoever. She’s also been staring at me and talking to customers/other employees about me while pointing directly towards me. She’s unprofessional and rude. Even to my small children.
Many very products and access to a great pharmacy department. I was able to find the right pain reliever that was appropriate to take with my other medications.
A night crew person wasvery helpful in finding a product
Always friendly employees and I usually find what Im looking for. The store could use a better selection of Gluten-free products as the demand is only getting higher!
Always helpful, fairly well stocked, clean and professional.
Similar to Walmart in that the quality and selection is low. Dont come expecting specialty items or much organic produce. Overall fairly cheap though.
It might be corporate owned what it feels like a neighborhood store. Perhaps ask because those who Works there and managers are pretty much neighbors Themselves. Kathy, John, Nikita, James, Melinda, Wen, Heather, the Bartender... Always with a friendly greeting and a smile. Always willing to help. Prices may be a bit high sometimes and that’s why it’s not five stars, but if you pay attention to what’s on sale it comes close to evening out. Perhaps most important, it feels like home.
Always get my groceries here. Good prices especially with they’re membership program
The people were friendly but it was hard to find what I needed and when I asked one person on the floor (and yes they worked there) they sent me to the place completely. The cashier and I both laughed about it though.
Good fast friendly service and high quality products.👍
I have to say it was better than the last time. The lady that had to help me with my Safeway card was really nice, perhaps they redeemed themselves. They didnt even treat me like I was going to steal something. LOL by the way, Use the Safeway card/app, it saves you a good chunk of money.
Love Safeway and its app that gives me great discounts on items I often buy.
Had a chicken bacon ranch wrap from the deli, it was delicious 😋 thank you!
IF YOU HAVE A MEDICAL MASK EXEMPTION DO NOT SHOP HERE. I was severely harassed by Cody even though I have documentation from my doctor that I have a medical exemption. I am on medication that makes it so I literally cannot wear one because it poses a serious risk to my health. I have shopped at many Safeway’s in Washington And Oregon and no one has even said a word to me about it. Even if they don’t honor them it was the way it was handled that was completely inappropriate. So aggressive and hostile! When I told Cody I had a medical exemption he specifically said “I don’t care, you have to wear one. We don’t do medical exemptions.” When I asked why it was that other Safeway’s make medical exemptions and they don’t he got even more mad and was saying that if I didn’t put one on he was going to call the police. Then his boss or supervisor came out and was being extremely rude as well saying they were going to call the police. These people are TOTALLY NUTS!!! Worst customer service I’ve experienced in my entire life.
Greatest grocery store chain in the world!
Its a good store and small enough you can find things
Good service. Friendly place . To shop
Very strong store, top rated employees. Legendary as they say.
This store has great sale prices.
Well stocked. And nice staff. A little bit more expensive then other stores.
Fine Safeway, just extremely small.
Safeway is generally overpriced, but the pharmacy is exceptionally terrible.
Clean, helpful staff, cashier was efficient and quick.
Clean, and everything was easy to find. Plus no lines.
Its a Safeway, not the biggest or best selection. 53rd or circle location are better imo.
Always busy customer service is always great Chinese food is a great dsal
Terrible experience. Worst out of any Safeway I’ve ever been to. Cody was extremely rude and unprofessional. I normally like Safeway but this was unlike any experience I’ve ever had, I will never be coming back to this place. 2 other customers even commented to me on the way out how inappropriate the ordeal was and how rude Cody was. Would rate 0/5 if Google had the option!
I bought stamps on my way home from work today- 22 of them because I had 22 wedding invitations to send. I realized later on that I needed to stamp the RSVP inside so they could get returned to me, so I asked my fiancé to pick up 22 more stamps when she went into town. The older lady at the express lane LIED to my fiancé and said that they only sold in booklets of 20. Not only did I just get 22 from a different worker earlier in the day, I have also bought just a couple of stamps from the same lady who tonight lied about not being able to. My fiancé had to end up buying a whole other booklet of stamps. So now I have 62 stamps for 44 cards. I know stamps are something super silly to be mad about, but I’m annoyed that this lady would lie to us about that. Unprofessional.Edit: after reading other reviews, it seems like she is a problem worker. Her name is Terri.
Having to go ask for a code to be able to use the restroom is just demeaning, no other Safeway, or any other grocery store, makes you ask for permission to use the restroom. And then they are not even clean or in good condition. Also compared to other stores the selection is not that great. Tear the place down already.
Woot, safeway!? Why is google asking me bout a Safeway???
I like the beans good i dont like the lights they are are to many
Awesome the young lady in the delie made me a awesome sandwich.
Good selection and decent prices
You cant always get what you want. But sometimes... you get what you need. 🎶
Employee literally followed me around the whole time. Extremely unprofessional! Will Never go here again
Great customer service
Cashier is rude, spoiled shrimp at deli, basic store, pharmacy always has issues..not being correct or on time.
Extremely rude managers at this store. Lies to suit own their own convenience and changes every other day. Almost demanding mask to be worn in order to enter the store. When told I have medical condition, the manager states We dont accept that excuse anymore. For one they have to accept it when my Dr says it effects my health, for two they are NOT entitled to know my health condition per HIPPA laws, for three mask are NOT a law but merely only a mandate, & for four who the HELL do they think they are to say it is an excuse!!!! They all can go to HELL!!!!
The store is clean, well stocked, the staff is always friendly and helpful, plus they usually have really good deals. This is a regular shopping stop for me and my family.
Overall, Im not a huge Safeway fan. Seems like every time Im in a Safeway, ANY SAFEWAY, there are 15 people ready to check-out and 1 checker on duty. This has finally been remedied, at this location, by the installation of self check-out stations. The selection of gluten-free or dairy free items is unremarkable. I know not everyone is in need of these options but it would be nice to have SOME selection of decent options here. If you need to pick up a couple things on the way home, this establishment is sufficient. If you need to shop for your family of 6 for the coming week...head somewhere else.
A smaller store but still has a great selection.
Im not so keen on the location of this Safeway and the kind of people that shop there but it is close to my house I wish management and salespeople they are very kind but they dont seem to know much about the running of their own store are very good on information it took me one helper two different manager people before I got the answers are the help I needed with someone that knew what they were doing
Love the Whopper.
Chocolate chip cookies over cooked
Im gonna have to give this Safeway a 3 start review is kind of small and not in a great location
Tired of having to pretend we all have covid and rude employees
We love 💕 the bestfrast burritos in the morning with our starbucks.our#1 good morning place.....
Actually I was surprised by how many choices there were in ready to eat food. Seems not all Safeway’s have the same fresh food offerings.
Not as clean as most and fruit was too ripe
Clean for the most part and pretty well stocked. Wish they had more cosmetics.
Expensive. Ompared to fred meyers but closer to our place.
I parked in the lot for an hour or so and walked to my appointment downtown. I appreciate that there was room there for me. There was room for me there and no ticket or fine for it. Since it is not public property and I am not homeless and healthy enough to walk(just 65) I wholehearted appreciate it!I was not buying groceries. I remember being nearly run over there by a woman in a car when I was trying to return cans in 2016 summertime. Whew, close call! Someday I may return soon wearing a cloth mask with a filter to see if I can afford to buy groceries there. Thanks for asking.
Loved the hot tubs
All the food including fruit and vegetables they picked out was perfect. Theyre fast with great customer service.
Not very easy to get around in bariatric wheelchair!
The employees caused me to have a mental break down in front of my 3 year old and just continued to call me a psychopath because my life is so full of pain and difficulty that I simply could not take the pain and attack on my being that they carried out. This company that incourraged thyre employees to emotionally damage me and my family will never get our money again and deserves nothing for there failure of having any humanity. ZERO STARS
I love this little center piece of the Valley Core.
They have the self checkout at this location which is very convenient when you want a quick lunch but dont want to stand in line
The only time I would show here is if it was your money I was spending. Prices are ridiculous and they always look at me like Im about to steal something. SMH
Zac was super helpful
Weird safeway from the late 70s....It does however have product from our current decade👍
Pick up food stuff
There is an extremely rude, snotty older woman with long gray hair that works there. She needs a class in people skills. I was just there, standing behind the plexiglass with my mask on, she ordered me to stand behind it. I already was, she just kept pointing, tapping the plexiglass with her dirty fingernails, saying “stand there”. She needs to lose her snotty attitude.
Nice Service Store Well Stocked
Wow, Been going here for a while. Never ever had the experience I just had . Waiting while they finished there conversation. I was standing at the Customer service. Been there for 5 minutes. Cashier decided to take another customer that approached her . Now remember she was in a conversation with another cashier. I told her I had been there for 5 minutes. She said it did not matter . Because she had told the other customer to come . Last time I ever shop there . Now what to think ? Was this done because I’m brown . And he was white? It is a horrible feeling to have to go through . In a experience like this . You ask yourself. If you where a white Customer would she had done the same . You would think Safeway would have a better public relations service.
This Safeway is kind of ghetto for Corvallis, but would be better if the express cashier had some semblance of customer service personality. This silver-haired lady is rarely friendly and I have put up with it for a long time, but today I had enough. Were all stressed out enough right now, you dont have to be rude to customers. I will avoid going to this store in the future, and if I have to I will avoid her checkout, as she should not be interacting with the public.
Dumpy but no judgement
Manager James told me that they will not enforce mask mandates. My sibling was told by another customer, when they confronted him about not wearing a mask, to ‘eat less and k*ll yourself’. No patrons did anything, and no employees either. I was told by the manager, James, that they will look in the video cameras for the incident, but I haven’t heard back. If I knew they didn’t enforce the mask mandate this entire situation would have been avoided, because I would not have shopped here.
Crowded. Terrible parking. Disorganized. Rude checkers and especially rude pharmacy tech. The Asian pharmacist is the best though. Very polite. Very nice guy.
Never crowded, even on a Friday afternoon.
No better grocery store than Safeway
They literally had not one thing I was looking for. Had to go to Fred Meyer instead.
Its a small market. However, its a good location to me. You can get Safeway club card for FREE.
Prices are high unless theyre just for you and there deli gets 1 star
Small town Safeway, it felt comfortable. Parking was good, the store was clean and I found what I needed. The cashier put everything in one bag which was impressive but it would have made sense to use at least two bags. Overall its a nice comfortable store where you can get what you want.... Possibly all in one bag 😂
Needs more staff on registers. Made place crowded and uncomfortable
Safeway has fresh deli food also chinese dishes
This place needs new management. Worst Safeway Ive ever been to
Easy to get in, find out what we needed. Self check associate could have been friendly but he did not even acknowledge my have a good day.
Miss leading pricing and what is up with the safeway card? When u use it I get robo calls selling me student loan relief no student loans here for 20 years !! Leave me alone. Safeway card is a scan and they sell your info !!
Worst Safeway that Ive ever been to. Perpetually understaffed and a literal inconvenience store. Dont try and find someone to help you find what you need. They will run away because they know they wont be able to help. Also there is a heavy influx of homeless people who flock to it for an easy place to fly a I need money sign. Pick any other store in the area if you can..
Very friendly cash registers.
No flowers no space. People touching just to walk by.
A mini Safeway :) but very nice bunch of employees....
They have one of my favorite delis ever! :) Best chicken strips in town! :)
I went in at perfect time. Had great customer service an they had enough people working they was able open more check stands an get people in and out. It was awesome
Excellent cheesecake!
A small store by todays standards, but well stocked. Good selection of organic staples. Friendly staff.
