Poor workmanship. There are multiple complaints with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair. Unless you the consumer is a mechanic, how would you know that the work is done right until a catastrophic failure? But then, its too late. These guys operate in multiple business names and have fabricated reviews to enhance their ratings. BUYER BEWARE.IF YOU FEEL YOU HAVE BEEN WRONGED, CALL THE CALIFORNIA BUREAU OF AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR AND THEY WILL HELP YOU. HAVE ALL THE RECEIPTS AND ALL RECORDS FROM COMMUNICATIONS

Our family bought a vehicle from this shop. They used a different name for their garage, but are the same Newport Motorcars. They lied to our family about the condition of the vehicle. They said they repaired some major components of the car, so we felt very comfortable buying the vehicle. Turned out that the work was done very poorly and the car broke down almost causing a major accident.I was very surprised to find out that for many months, we were being given the run around, the parts are coming for things they broke. We can afford attorneys, but how many others must they have ripped off who can afford to hold them accountable?Bureau of Automotive Repair is the place to start complaints, but as a cash-strapped bureaucracy, they are slow and often not very effectual. In our case, everything is well documented.Dont buy from these guys.

Had a great experience with Dimas of Coast Automotive. Took care of an Aston Martin Vanquish PPI for me. He is extremely knowledgeable and provides great customer service. Highly recommend for any automotive work. Thanks again.

Dimas the owner is very interesting guy..they work on myriad of cool and exotics there..big place and Dimas brother who is a mechanic there is very friendly. likeable and courteous. He cleared an error message from my instrument panel at no charge.

I called from Arizona where I live to get help with a car I bought in California that sat in a garage for 7 or 8 years. It was towed to Coast automotive and Dimas had it running in perfect condition in just a few days. When I came to get the car it was detailed and running perfectly. Dimas made me feel comfortable on the phone immediately and I knew he would take good care of me and honestly I rarely trust mechanics, but this guy is amazing as a person and mechanic and deserves ten stars. I drove the car back to Phoenix without any issues.

Came in for a check engine light, and it turned out to be a loose wire. So, I got my oil changed there. The owner is very honest and explains the problem to you in plain English. The bathroom is clean and the waitingroom is comfortable...definitely coming back!

Great body shop they did a fantastic job not only did they fix the damage on my car they also detailed the inside and outside made it almost brand new. Keep in mind my car is over 10 years old and they treated as if it was a Bentley.
