Fitzgeralds slogan is Where service is everything. I dont think much of business slogans but I couldnt help but think about how true that statement was when it comes to Fitzgerald.Everyone I met was very professional, communicative, calm, friendly, knowledgeable and patient.It wasnt intimidating and I didnt feel like they were trying to hurry me out the door or take advantage of me lack of car knowledge either.I went in for the AAA approved multi-point inspection. I dropped off my car and they took it right away. I was about to call an Uber to go home and wait but they offered a driver to bring me home. The driver was friendly and professional. when the car was ready, they called me and let me know what was wrong with my car. They didnt push any services on me or tried to up-sell me anything. They just gave it to me straight. They answered all of my questions and made me feel valued as a customer.Theres a reason they are one of the best rated mechanics in town.I would recommend to everyone. I feel bad I didnt discover them sooner.

My husband and I have brought our cars here for several years now. Both Pat and Dan always take good care of us. They are courteous and professional. The repairs are done in a timely fashion and I’m happy to have a local garage we can trust! My Chevy Tahoe is 20 years old, 176k+ miles and they are helping me milk every mile more I can get out of her!

After my vehicle off for a repair, I received a call within 2 hours to review of outstanding maintenance issues. Since my repair was cooling system related, I was informed of additional maintenance items in this area. Overall there were no issues with the repair. When I picked up my vehicle it was clean and the bill was fair.

So far only did oil change + inspection with them, will go for more when the time comes.nice people, quick service, fair prices.

Shout out to Fitzgeralds for the A plus service they provided yesterday. I have had the same mechanic for many years and hes wonderful- but he takes a long time to get the job done. As a stay at home mom with a lot of errands and two toddlers, being without a car for days on end is just not a viable option for me anymore. I was recommended Fitzgeralds as a quick and excellent mechanic. They were great and got the job done in one day. Clean, prompt, professional and straight forward. Ill be back!

I took in my high mileage 2003 Accord needing work prior to SMOG. There were 3 or 4 codes which needed fixing before it would pass. The guys did a great job of diagnosis and repair, the cost was as I expected and they got my SMOGed car back to me in a couple of days. Theyre a likable bunch over there and I give them my top score. We came to Fitzgeralds Auto Care Center with a ‘78 Chevrolet Corvette that hadn’t been driven in 25 years with an interior occupied by a family of rodents. We just wanted to see if they could help get it running again. Less than a year later, we are driving that car with an upgraded engine and a beautiful totally reupholstered interior along with other improvements, all at a reasonable cost. Kudos to Dan, Pat and the whole Fitzgeralds team for a job well done.

The quality of service has been consistent throughout my life as a customer, some odd 17 years. In high school (2007), Dan took the time to check out an old roadster after hours offsite and advise me whether or not to proceed. Just the other day (2019), he jumped in my inherited 2006 Ford 4X4 to help clarify the noise from the front wheel well. The people here know cars, clean waiting room, clean restroom and no nonsense (but you could probably figure as much just chatting with Pat at the front desk). Good people, good business and highly recommended.

Honest Mechanics with a crystal clear and seamless operation! My brother has been an honest mechanic for 25 years, but hes too far away. So I have seen and heard about a lot in this business. This was the 3rd place I took my used car that I had purchased. These guys not only saved me over a thousand, but kindly and patiently explained to me why I did not need the recommendations that the other vendors had made. They also fixed one simple issue for free, and made sure that I got a discount that I would have forgotten to ask for. For both my oil change, smog/inspection, and repair, I would show up, drop off, get shuttled home and then picked up when my car was ready. I never had to wait in the waiting room for long. Everything was seamless. Very well managed, professional, clean, and friendly. Everyone upfront was very knowledgeable, including the owner, who was always in. Best service Ive experienced in 25 years! Expect more of the same.

Ive had some very bitter experiences with automotive repair in the past, so I was careful to investigate Fitzgeralds before I called them. Pat, the service manager, is not only friendly, hes professional in every way.There is a rule in life you simply cant get around: You get what you pay for. Even if you decide to go with a less expensive place, it will cost you just as much or more than if you paid the right price in the first place.Im more than happy with the service I received at Fitzgeralds. They did a thorough check of my car and found a number if issues that I was unaware of, issues that left unattended, would cost me far more down the road.With Pats help we were able to prioritize the needed repairs with an eye to cost, safety, and reliability. Over the coming months I will have a car that I know I can rely on. It wont be cheap. Money is tight. But Ill know the work done on my car was done right.

The entire experience was excellent from the moment I dropped the car off till I picked the car up. They gave me honest advice on any potential issues, a severity rating, and a price which enabled me to make informed decisions on work to be completed (not the money grabbing antics of some mechanics you encounter). We just moved here from Texas. We have three cars total. We took the first two cars to different car dealers and had not good experience. The third car I decided to check it on the Yelp. Fitzgeralds is showing on the top of the list. I did smog check and basic inspection (the other two car dealers told us we dont need smog check--wrong information! No matter how new is your cars, you need to do smog check when you move from other state in order to pass the car registration. And you need to do the car registration within 20 days after arriving California). Pat told me the right information and told me I can do the registration in AAA if I am the member. So I can quickly finish the registration in AAA. They found some problems from inspection. Pat explained to me clearly and completely (I am very appreciate for his effort because I dont feel they like talk to woman patiently when I lived in Texas). When they fixed the radiator, they found the condenser stuck with the radiator because of too rusty inside the car. Pat explained to me again and even took me to see the inside of car. Although its a rare situation, they order the parts and fixed quickly. I am happy I finally found one place I can trust to maintain and repair our cars in California. Thank you very much, Fitzgeralds! You have a new customer here.

We recommended Dan to a uci student. She had been told by another shop that she needed work that would cost more than she could afford. She did not need such work. Dan repaired her car perfectly and within the students ability to pay. Long ago I recommended Dan to my sons. We still go to him.

I have been using Fitzgeralds for over 20 years on at least 4 different vehicles and have never had a complaint or problem with their work. They stand behind what they do 100%. They are always busy which tells me they are popular, so I know when I do need work, I am not going to a drive-through to get it done. They will give you a ride home and come pick you up when the work is complete. I honestly do not know if their prices are competitive, high, or low since I have not had the desire to go anywhere else. In this day and age, integrity and professionalism is what I am paying for. Plus, it sure does not hurt to see an overly clean and at the same time very busy place. I have also sent at least 6 friends there for work and not one has ever complained about the service.

I was out of town on a business trip and these guys really did me right. Most auto repair shops you visit, you just know you are going to get ripped off. Particularly if you are out of town. Not these guys. They told me what was wrong and when I gave them the go ahead they fixed it right. Right away, and at a great price. I cannot thank them enough. For quality auto repair, you really can count on them.

I have a 2003 Honda and I needed a new starter Jim never called me all day because they had 30 cars they were working on I called him just before 5 this was my second call and he tells me my starter is going to cost me $680 really guys the part is only $130.00 youre going to charge $550 for labor. I obviously didnt go with their price got my vehicle towed went to where I usually go and only had to pay $280. AAA referred me to them which I made a formal complaint about. Pats like we got four point eight Stars so what what kind of stars you guys have you guys are a rip-off and take advantage of people. Funny thing is they had 3 of them just waiting for me to say something. So they could jump down my throat. Jim and Pat karma will get you guys.

Fitzgerald’s is very professional, honest in their pricing and it’s a pleasure to speak with them.

Recently moved to OC from LA, and dealing with the terrible commute up to el segundo every day until my office moves. Of course, few weeks into this temporary commute from hell, my car started idling badly, backfiring, and generally just didnt feel safe to drive. Took it to my usual shop in LA and they just fixed the symptoms of the cylinder misfire code that my car was throwing. Drove it the next day, still didnt feel right. Started idling horribly again shortly after. Took it back in and they just kept insisting that I need a new car, they cleaned off some sensors but didnt do any real fixes. Surprise, that didnt work. At 13 years and 146000mi, my car is no spring chicken. But its been reliable up until now and Im not the kind of gal to just give up on something that could be an easy fix. However, my car felt unsafe to drive, was throwing a new code (engine running lean), and with this commute there was no way I could sustain ubering to work every day.So I took it to Fitzgeralds after a quick Google search, and they definitely lived up to the hype. Listened intently to my 10+ min spiel about what was happening and what I thought was wrong. I could tell they wanted to truly fix my car, not just put a band aid on some symptoms and call it a day like my last shop. I was a bit wary that they charge for diagnostics, but I wanted answers above all else so it was worth the charge (which is absorbed into the labor cost, if I remember correctly). After a bunch of fixes to various air leaks I had in my engine, my car is running even better than it did before this all went down. They ran everything by me, were incredibly thorough, worked in a timely fashion, kept my budget in mind when giving advice, and even gave me some tips on other ways to make my car run better without pouring money into it.Now Im confident I can get at least a few more months out of my car, and with a little bit more help from Fitzgeralds, maybe it could be years!

Ill never take my car anywhere else! i first found these guys when my car overheated last summer. they were willing to stay a bit late on a saturday afternoon to receive the tow. fitz takes care of the entire familys vehicles and even gave us a quote for parts when my 13 year old honda died last year. now they take care of my new baby. even with a dealer warranty and free oil changes, i choose to go here. sure, you may save a few dollars getting service elsewhere, but you wont get the reliable and thorough service you get here! mechanics you can trust!
