Mikes is a very honest mechanic. Ive taken in 2 different cars and theyve been great every time. They are friendly honest and efficient. Just tell them what you need and theyll take care of you. If you dont know whats wrong and theres no check engine light they charge a reasonable fee and will figure it out. Ive never had a bad experience in the 6 times Ive taken my cars in. Ive never had such an honest and hardworking mechanic.

These guys make you feel like you’re a wanted customer. You’re always greeted with a polite and concerned attitude. I had my older car looked at for overheating and check engine light a couple weeks ago. They inspected both my issues and called me back with the unfortunate news that I would need $3500 in repairs. (Which we both agreed probably wasn’t worth it considering how old the car was). The owner said “ don’t worry about the charges for the inspection and testing. No charge. Save your money for a new car.” These are genuinely good people here, especially the owner, Mike. If you’re new to the area and trying to find a mechanic that is trustworthy, honest and sincere, I suggest you try this shop.

I never review anything, but found Mikes here on Google and wanted to pay it forward. The reviews are absolutely legit. None of us want our cars going into the shop, but I can personally attest I wont lose any sleep moving forward if that happens knowing I can take it here for an honest, no bs diagnotic and necessary repair.

This shop has that Old School mechanic feel and honest values: Treat the customer right and they keep coming back!!! They replaced a water pump on my Equinox for me (not an easy job since it is at the back of the engine and chain driven), a few months later it started making a whining noise. they replaced it no charge, no questions asked. On my tahoe, they did a brake fluid flush, replaced axle fluid and gas filter and test drove it to be sure all was working well. They finish the job!!. I recommend everyone to them.

Honest mechanic. Explain everything for you. Just good nice people. Which is hard to find anymore. You need your car worked on just come here. These guys are truly the best of the best! I was referred by a friend ( which I should say I believe that is their only advertisement is word of mouth ). I am always impressed on how they treat me! They had my car for two days couldnt find the problem I was having. ( I think my car is possessed, but another story ) Mike told me no charge, even tho I know his co-workers or even him spent a good amount of time on it! & Told me if it happens again I know where he is, Lol!I dont know what he did, but my car has been working great ever since 🤣& For free!

Ive been coming to Mike for 7 years with multiple cars. As a single woman with one vehicle as my only transport, I can honestly say Mike is the best most reliable trusting mechanic in town! Ive been all over Costa Mesa and have been ripped off by multiple places including Pep Boys. But these guys never let me down. They are so good about being truthful, even if it means they wont make any money off of it. As well as reasonable priced and willing to work with you. By far the best mechanic Ive ever been to!

Mikes is great! My parents went to him before we moved away almost twenty years ago, and when our car broke down as we were down here again he remembered us!When our tow request screwed up, Mike and his crew waited THREE HOURS for the car to show up. All the staff are hard working and the pricing is honest. They walk you through the problem and offer different methods to fix it.All in all, Mikes was a high point of a petty awful day. When our car wouldnt start, we had to get it towed and we didnt know where to go. Man am I glad we chose to go to Mikes.Mike and his team took a good look at our old Jeep to try to find out why the car wouldnt start. They initially quoted us $80 for a diagnosis/inspection because we needed it fixed right away. They tinkered around and tightened some battery bolts, and then the car began starting without a problem. When I tried to pay, they said we didnt owe them anything because they didnt use any parts for our car. I tried to tip them and they refused that money too!When it was all said and done, we ended up getting almost an hour of Mike and his staffs time for a free inspection of our car. And whatever tightening and tinkering they did must have worked because we havent had a problem with the car in the 4 weeks since we visited!

BEWARE if your from out of town and stuck in a rut and need help DO NOT GO HERE the O’Reilly auto shop down the street will give you btter help. (The received there 5 stars) An older gentleman talked to me nicely then sent me to a mechanic that was more worried about the $45 for diagnosis rather my car I explained I was from out of town. The end result was I pay $450 for work or the $45 and leave. I didn’t have $450 I explained and he said he would give me a couple min to figure it out. I definitely felt like I was tooken advantage of because I was not from there and if I didn’t pay that there would be no other way and I would just loose my car. Luckily O’Reilly helped and I was able to make it to San Diego to a trusted mechanic.
