10+ Stars… This was the best car purchase I’ve ever made. I came to Tesla Costa Mesa because I felt I didn’t get the right sales associate at Tesla Fashion Island. When I first walked in I was greeted respectfully and professionally by Pooja that made me feel like if she was someone close that I knew. I honestly recommend Pooja for your purchase, she’s very nice, understanding and she also has all the right answers. I spend many months on Google and watching videos on YouTube to see if my Tesla was a good purchase to make, I actually got to learn so much that when I asked her questions about the vehicle she knew the right answers and that is how I knew she was the perfect sales associate. You will never feel pressure or receive unwanted calls from her like other dealerships, every time she needed to call me she would text me first to see if or when was a good time to call. If you plan on buying your first or next Tesla ask for Pooja you cannot go wrong, I had an amazing experience here than buying any other car or buying a Tesla online or at a different location.

I walk into the showroom on Friday and Im immediately greeted by a very unwelcoming face who identified as Kat - she looked miserable, did not smile, told me she was unable to let me test drive a car without an appointment (despite having reserved a Tesla online) and circulated around the showroom as we checked out the Tesla (sitting inside and playing around with the touchscreen and what not etc.)As Im inspecting the car and opening the charge port, she walks by and mumbles in the rudest of ways oh that will close on its own you dont need to mess with that. Rude... much?Here comes Micah to save the day. Not only was he super friendly, he said they were having a slow morning so if Id like, I can test drive a car. Wow - what a homie. I guess Kat was pretending to be busy?Anyhow, he gave me the run down of the car etc. and was super professional, polite and attentive the entire time.Thank you Micah! I appreciate you!

I had an appointment for the delivery of my model Y at 1:00 pm and the car was ready around 1:20 pm. This was by far the best car buying experience ever. I ordered the car and reserved it in March 2021, waited for the car to become available/built, and took delivery. Everything is done online, no middle-man, highest level of transparency, and more importantly a great quality product. I love our model Y and will get another Tesla next year after returning my Mercedes lease.

I had an amazing experience at this Tesla... Paul Villa, my service advisor was absolutely phenomenal. He was super attentive, explained everything super clearly, and made us feel very comfortable. I called/harrassed Paul so many times and he was always there to ensure I was taken care of. He actually would reach out to me to update me on the process and helped find a car that matched my specs sooner than expected. Everything from the order to the delivery was super smooth and I could not be happier.On a side note, the service center was amazing and was able to fix a minor issue with the bumper. They were super attentive and communicated with me throughout the entire process.I am super happy with my new Tesla and would definitely recommend everyone go to the Costa Mesa location for their Tesla needs. Just picked up our black Model Y with white interior and black rims. Did all the paperwork at home online. They called me with the scheduled delivery time. When I got there I was in and out in 15 minutes!What an awesome experience! Ill likely never go to a traditional car dealer again!

One of there sales offered to help ordering my daughter is model Y today he entered all the information until the finance we told him we will do it home. The Tesla showrooms need to have more sample items of what they sell on-line. Plus they should have videos of the 20 most common question playing on a video screen. For example: What does the 220 volt plug look like and how do you plug the charger into the car. There are no keys but the app is on your phone. Do you start it? No. How do you drive it? How often should you charge it? etc.

I stopped bu just to take a look at the new Teslas. I bought a model S for my wife and we both love the car. We have solar panels on our house so there is no cost to run the car. They were very knowledgeable and nice at the dealership. I spent about an hour and enjoyed looking at the new models. I am definitely going to buy another Tesla someday for myself. It was a fun afternoon. Highly recommend

Literally the worst customer service I have ever received. They actually make the process of picking up your car extremely challenging and non-customer focused. Really cagey about when my car would be delivered. No one ever answered the phone. They actually very much prefer to correspond via text message, and despite having sent a text message every day for three days in a row asking if I can get a plug on delivery, they would respond to other messages, but not the ones about the plug. I finally got a response on the day of delivery 45 minutes before my appointment that they do not have plugs at the delivery location. All this, despite being told by the sales person that I could get it no problem and wouldnt have to order it early on online, and calling again a second time when I had the plug installed in my house and again insisting I could wait til I picked up my car. Customer Service woman was also extremely rude, really not very smart or solutions oriented and offered and no apology. I asked her to help me think of solutions for me and she was extremely rude and actually hung up on me. Then, I called San Diego and they were so much better, much more polite, kind, and even put a plug aside for me with my name on it so I would definitely get one. Now was that so hard?! Dont go to this location for your Tesla! San Diego or LA are way better options for Customer Service that actually does their job.

One of the worst service department of all the car manufacturers! It’s a waste of time. They make an appointment weeks in advance and still don’t have the part for your car. They confirm several times by the app and texts but never care to make sure they’re ready for you! They also installed a new tail light, due to water leak of the original new light, and it was installed crooked/slanted! So they had to send another dude to tell me who ever installed this light had no clue how to do it or did it in a big rush.! He damaged the part, so a third light had to be installed! My car is only 2 years old but it’s lost all its originality already!

Everyone was extremely nice and helped me understand how to use all of the features. Test drives are about 20min and they can either accompany you or allow you to take it out by yourself. If you are interested in buying a Tesla, schedule a test drive. You will love it!

I hate leaving 1 star reviews because I feel like a whiny a&s but every single person I have dealt with is flaky and they do not return phone calls. Honestly it seems like they really just dont care. Sales guys were very friendly, informative and no pressure. I was there for a Test Drive, with no salesman in the car, just me and my girlfriend on a 20 min adventure. It was a great test drive of the Model Y. For me it was about the fit for me. It is way roomier than model 3 and has a similar panoramic roof as seen on the model 3, but this roof is nicely an inch+ above my head - I am 67. Pretty comfortable. Much like the model 3 the windshield shade bar is a little bulky and for me partially blocks traffic lights when at crosswalk. But it is still way better, with more visibility than 95% of other cars. As a bonus, the screen software shows the vehicles around, and has the benefit of showing traffic lights and the color they are on. So I could see a red light changing to green through the screen. The most of the drive is everything you hear about Tesla, with great comfort, awesome acceleration, and very enjoyable drive. The biggest complaint is giving it back.The Model Y definitely overcomes the issue I had seen last year on Model X. Model X has the roof structure bar way back, and is hanging down low above the driver seat, when in full pushed back position. While the Model X has more visibility looking forward and traffic signals, through uninterrupted windshield, it is very disappointing that when you are 67 and get great legroom, with seat all the way back, your head is hitting/or resting against the roof structure support bar.Great performance and all the great benefits I want: no engine maintenance, no gas, smarter and improved ride through updates, etc...I think Model Y would be the next car for me... But am curious about the Cybertruck? Will the Apex of the roof on the Cybertruck, be finally have the ideal visibility and headroom I need as a tall man of 67?

Totally not adequate parking lot. Tesla customers are competing for parking space on the street with The Block residents and employees from other companies since there is no parking for Tesla. Im surprised that permit was issued even though there is total lack of parking space. I thought each business has to prove that they have adequate parking space for the customers before they can do business there.

Customer service is so good that I was helped by someone in the delivery experience area instead of a sales person. Your vehicles and automated tools are wonderful. Couldn’t be happier. Unfortunately, any process that involves a human is terrible. The delivery process was completely inadequate. I already gave feedback on this and didn’t get a response. Now I have a service issue and there’s no one with any technical expertise to help. Perhaps Tesla is not suited for the luxury vehicle market? Maybe stick to more modestly priced vehicles where there is not as much of an expectation?4/28/20 Update: After posting here, Facebook, Twitter and speaking to someone at the Costa Mesa center, not a single follow-up.

Do not buy used car from them. Just stay away. I purchased my 2017 model X from them and paid at least 10000$ more than the actual value of the car with the hope that Tesla’s accountability is worth it. However turned out my car had 2/32 tires on while they promised at least 5/32. Also the wheels were not balances and aligned and I had to pay out of pocket to fix the problem of a car that I just purchased from dealership. And this morning I missed going to work because my is not turning on.My question is, has anyone inspected my car before selling it to me? What kind of customer service is this?

Renee at the Costa Mesa location sold me a car in December 2019. I gave her $100 to place the order. Delivery was guaranteed by 12/31/19. Tesla did not have a car for me 12/31/19 and I was told to wait. I contacted them in January 2020 and was told it was possible they could deliver a car to me in March 2020, but the could not promise anything. I asked them to cancel my order and issue a refund for the $100. I was told I would be issued a refund. In December I had turned in my former car in anticipation of receiving a Tesla. I could not go until March, or beyond without a car. I never received the $100 refund. Today I was contacted by someone at Tesla trying to sell me something. I once again requested the $100 refund. Today I was told the $100 was not refundable. How do they accept $100 to place an order, not only miss the delivery guarantee deadline, but not provide a deliver date at all and keep the money? Wow!

Camus made all the difference between a 2-star rating that became a 4-star rating. Initially, the delivery scheduling and coordination of my Tesla was a real mess, and the communications from various representatives felt completely disjointed and not very professional. Prior to the car preparation and delivery portion of the buying experience, I had already done my part to quickly ensure my loan was funded and wired to Tesla quickly and that my downpayment was also wired quickly from my account. So it was completely frustrating to me that my experience on the car delivery side was so uneven to say the least. Thank God that I was able to speak to Camus in the Costa Mesa Tesla DC and he was able to get things straightened out and properly communicated to me. He even made himself available to go over the car with me when I went to pick it up. He largely made the Tesla rating here a 4+ (I rarely give 5 ratings). I also want to credit my sales associate Christian with good communications and follow through with the first part of the car buying experience. I would recommend working with Camus and Christian, and hope Tesla could find more professionals like them. It would give your customers a more professional and good car buying and delivery experience. Both ends of the car buying experience are very important for the customer.

We bought a pre-owned Tesla in January 2020. At the time of pick up, there was a scratch that went all the way to the metal. My husband put in a request to have that fixed, as it wasnt on any of the photos Tesla sent us. Subsequently, weve also noticed that the cosmetic plate that covers the rear cup holder is missing and that wasnt in photos either, so I asked my sales rep about that as well. Every two weeks I reach out to him and he tells me hell look into it. Its nearly the end of March and Im still waiting for him to get back to me. There are nicks in the leather seats and several other things that werent in the photos, and I feel like Tesla needs to make this right. Its really not my responsibility if their photographer doesnt do a more thorough inspection before taking the pictures that customers use to purchase the vehicle. Tesla, can ANYBODY be accountable and help us out with these things? Thanks!

I am extremely disappointed with the horrible service at Tesla - Costa Mesa.First, we were given a price for the model 3 - white, mid range, with 19 performance wheels. We agreed on the purchase price and package but at the time of pick up, the price went up. I didnt agree with the new price and had to argue with them and almost walked out on buying the car. They tried to make amends and ended up honoring the price but they said they didnt have the 19 wheels in stock. They told me to go ahead and drive the car with the 18 wheels and come back in for the 19 wheel swap. I asked them where does it say on the contract that Im getting the 19 wheels. They promised me that everything was online and that it was noted in their database and that I just need to call in and arrange for service. It was almost 10pm and I was so tired from all the arguing that I just wanted to go home at that point...Second, I referred a friend to this location since it was the closest one to him when he was interested in purchasing a Tesla. He signed me up for the referral program where you get 1000 miles of free supercharge when he made his purchase. Well, I have yet to see that 1000 miles of free supercharge in my account. Ive called and emailed and nothing...Third, when my husband called in for service for the 19 wheel swap...he couldnt get a hold of anyone. He tried calling several times, I tried calling several times and no one answers the phone. My husband ended up scheduling the service online. When he showed up for the wheel swap, he was told that there is no note for the wheel swap. I admit this was my mistake for not getting that in writing that long night but for a company that lies and robs their clients, there is definitely something wrong.We have called, emailed, and visited this location several times to come to some resolution with them but weve had no success. Is there not one honest person that actually works at this location? This is very frustrating and upsetting.I wouldnt recommend anyone coming to this location if they really want to get a Tesla. Tesla - Costa Mesa is extremely dishonest, greedy, and they dont know what customer service is.

Two different things to talk about. The Model 3 all wheel drive, long range is a great car. I set the regeneration on low, the steering to comfort and creep to on. It handled like a gas powered car with those settings. The regeneration will take a little getting used to, as the car really slows down when you let off of the accelerator. I will change to regular regeneration in a few days. It took about 30 miles for the cameras to calibrate and surrounding awareness features to start working. Drove it home 60 miles in a heavy rain and it handled well. Visibility out the back is limited. The staff at the delivery center was helpful and friendly. Set up the phone access for my wife and me. Also helped with setting the individual driving preferences. Did not seem time pressured and answered our questions. Be aware that parking doesnt exist, so you may need to park on the street and walk awase. Took only 10 minutes to complete the paperwork at delivery.

They are happy to take your money but no customer care after that. I overpaid my Tesla 3 by $3500 and on pickup day at this delivery center they promised in person that a refund check will be arriving in 3 weeks... 2 month later, NOTHING came. Called customer service number, on hold for 30 minutes, and finally found someone (Justin) who’s willing to help. Justin has been the only person from Tesla who showed care in this whole entire process, I appreciate that.It took Justin couple of hours to “research” and got back to me. It sounded like someone completely forgot about my overpayment. Now they promised another 3 week ETA of refund. What a mess! I expected better from Tesla’s customer care but I guess I was wrong.

Very friendly staff. I like the waiting area where you can see all the other customers going through their car orientation. Make an early appointment and it wont be that crowded. I would say the biggest issue for me is parking. Not much signage on where customers should park as their parking lot is really small. If you cant find a spot then youll need to park in the street. Free wifi along with water and an assortment of coffees, teas, hot cocoa to choose from.

Best delivery experience and staff I have experienced across almost ANY INDUSTRY. The buying experience is so modern, customized and EFFICIENT!We were in and out less than 30 minutes. It felt like we were honored guests at some type of lounge or event. It was weird in a wonderful way. I remember telling my wife that it felt like we were guests being welcomed in someones home. They just cant seem to do anything right. If Teslas product wasnt so ahead of the game, I would shop elsewhere because of the delivery experience.On the Model S that I bought out of state, I had to visit this service center to fill out some DMV paper work. I specifically asked them not to attach a front license plate and said that I would be using an aftermarket solution. After filling out the paperwork and coming back out to my car, I see that they went ahead and drilled holes into my front bumper without my permission and installed a license plate holder.For the delivery of my Model 3, there were some cosmetic flaws that I noticed during delivery and they assured me they would enter these notes into the system as a Due Bill and it would be taken care of. When time came to schedule service, they said there were no due bills in the system... :(Also for my Model 3 delivery, I indicated that I would be transferring custom plates to the car. The delivery associate had the right form during delivery and I filled it out. Then a month later my DMV registration came in the mail with new generic plates. I called them and they said they made a mistake. Well their mistake made me spend over 4 hours at the DMV getting the plates transferred. My time is valuable and they dont seem to care about making things right.

Pick up experience was horrible. Not only did they not do a walkthrough me but I identified several defects with the car. They were able to switch out the back seats but couldn’t repair the driver and passenger seats. They scheduled an appointment for me to bring my car in to get my driver and passenger chairs replaced. Franky Flores made the appointment for me and was able to identified the defects of the driver seat headrest and passenger seat leather defects. He assured me that it will be replaced on October 11th at 10:30am. When I came today, they refused to replace the seats and Franky denied knowing anything about my claim. This is a very poor business practice and unethical on all level. Franky should not be promoted to management for his lack of integrity. My driver headrest is misaligned and he covered with me as well when he sat inside the car. I came in today and the manger here along with other Tesla employees refused to replaced my defective seats. I was given the runaround and I felt discriminated. The manger said my body is slanted, not the seat itself. That is such a horrible thing to say to a customer or to any human being in general. I am urging that Elon Musk and Tesla take corrective action on this matter immediately. My neck has been giving me difficulties because of the misaligned seat and I will make sure Tesla pay for my medical expense.
