It’s not often I’m blown away by a place, but this place has done it. Famous Donuts is in a simple strip mall with very humble storefront, but by golly do they have the best donuts around!! For those who like classic, FRESH, quality donuts, this is the place. The owner is just fabulous too- so friendly and generous as well. I will make the drive from Irvine to Costa Mesa just for these. Selection is very very limited... says 24 hours but nothing after 10:00 pm. Why are they even open if they aren’t going to have good selections? Also, I went and the door was closed I figured the window next to the street but a fellow patron had to tell me, the man inside saw me but completely ignored me and let me stand outside while I was looking inside. Kind of rude that a customer had to explain the window on the side to order instead of the worker inside, doing whatever he could to avoid me looking inside.

I had a glazed donut at 8:30PM at it tasted like it was just made. Best donut shop in Costa Mesa.

Best donuts in the city and possibly Orange County! You want overpriced donuts with a cutesy Instagram-able vibe? This is not the place for you. Get in, get your donuts and go about your day, cash only. Grade A donuts for cheap, and the bakers dozen is on lock. HIGHLY recommend, their donuts are a literal cloud of perfection. Cant speak on their coffee, not much of a coffee guy. 10/10.

Super cool peeps work here. Large coffer here is really large. (Styrofoam cup). I drink 2 cups because I love Coffee and caffeine. Cinnamon crumb cake donut is yummy for my tummy. The best part is seeing the little kids face light when they pick which sprinkle donut they want.

Some of the best donuts Ive had in a long time. The circle ones with the center cut out, the big puffy ones (idk the name for it) with maple glaze was unreal! So moist and just perfect. I was surprised and very happy! Highly recommend! 😻🍩

Great Donuts and coffees

Fancy? No, but the offerings at Famous Donuts are bountiful. It seems that their foray into sub sandwiches has given way to expanding their coffee bar (which isnt a bad decision) and that they still offer that along with donuts, ice cream, purified water for bottling, and a variety of pre-packaged soft drinks. I miss the old soda fountain and I wish that theyd take card through the late-night take-out window as they do inside. Otherwise, I cant complain about the job Famous Donuts does.

The worst doughnut shop ive ever been to. Theres often drunk men loitering in front of it acting obnoxious. theres a no loitering sign and the shop doesnt enforce it and does nothing about the people loitering in front.
