Decent items - tiny store - store closing out - apparently Stephanie who works there could care less - quoted about an item and she rolled her eyes that it must not be available even though I had asked if she could check other stores. She was snotty after that and ran to the back to hide. It’s no wonder the store is closing with employees like this.Wow - just read the other reviews - apparently this is par for the course with service here. How sad. They literally get spenders to ship elsewhere.
I drove in traffic tonight to exchange a pair of AG jeans at a Pea in the Pod in Crystal Court at South Coast Plaza. After speaking with someone over the phone at the store, I was told to come in and they would “take care of it.” I have to say it was by far the worst retail experience ever! The Sales Associate, Gabriella threw her coworker, Melanie under the bus and rolled her eyes in a very unprofessional manner while doing so. She blamed her for providing incorrect information over the phone and “not knowing her product.” I had one pair of jeans that I wanted to exchange for the correct size. I had purchased the jeans online and was told I needed to go to the store for the exchange as mentioned above. Apparently this was incorrect because Gabriella quickly refunded my money against my wishes and wanted to charge me an additional hundred dollars for the pair that was exactly the same (just a smaller size) because the coupon I had used was no longer valid. I have never received such poor customer service. I assume Gabriella made an error in returning the money to my account (refund still has not been received) before actually making the exchange. She continually talked about her computer, her computer, her computer and how it could not possibly make the exchange and I would be charged an additional hundred dollars. Either its an extremely poor company policy, or she made a grave error that she refused to correct. Gabriella was extremely rude, incompetent, treated me as if I was at fault, degraded her coworker, and called her manager and changed the story to suit her needs. All of this occurred as she addressed me by the wrong name even after correcting her. When I walked by the store after leaving (without the original pair of jeans and no exchange) I saw her speaking to two security officers. Seriously?? Is this the customer service that a Pea in the Pod wishes to convey? Motherhood Maternity is a sister company and when I was in there two weeks ago, there was a very pregnant lady who was extremely worked up arguing with a Sales Associate. At the time I didn’t understand but unfortunately now I get it. Do yourself a favor and stay far far away from these two stores. Macy’s and Nordstrom sell the same designer jeans so there’s no need to deal with the frustration. I will never shop at a Pea in the Pod again, nor will I ever order anything from them online.
Probably the worst customer service ever experienced at any store at South Coast Plaza. The management and staff are extremely rude, need some serious training, and frankly I will never recommend this place to anyone.
Terrible customer service, you would think for the prices you pay for this place they would have some decency to treat you nicely. Wont go back unless I am seriously desperate.
