As a previous multiple shop owner servicing a wide variety of Autos heavy equip and much more including a variety of police dept units I would recommend Steve and his guys. An honest shop is a very difficult thing to find in todays world and a timely turn around can be a value as well.

I took my 1996 Toyota Celica in for service. Steven and the rest of the shop were very friendly and knowledgeable about the work needed. Prices are fair, and the work was performed as quoted.Would highly recommend for anything needed on your vehicle!

My previous mechanic retired last year and a friend referred me to Zabor Automotive. I do many of my car repairs myself but of course there are some things that are beyond my capabilities. For those things I take my vehicles to Zabor. The prices are reasonable, the staff are polite and courteous, they explain exactly what the problem is, what your options are, and a timetable for completion. More importantly, when there is a delay in completing your repair (as often happens at any shop for any number of reasons) Zabor notifies you immediately to explain the situation; you will not be calling them to ask why your car isnt ready.A couple other things Ive noticed: the waiting room, while spartan, is clean and comfortable. The repair bays are broom clean, there is no oil or other fluids or grime all over the place. There are no old parts laying about or piles of tools strewn here and there. The work areas are well organized.Even their tools are clean. This might not seem important, but in a busy shop the fact that they apparently take the time to thoroughly clean their work area and care for their tools tells me that these are professionals who take their craft seriously.

They are AMAZING! The guys they have working there are very knowledgeable and friendly. I needed something done to my jeep and had the best conversations with them while I waited. They were diligent and made sure everything was working perfectly before they even allowed me to drive away. I was treated with respect and explained everything in full detail. They are very clean which I was highly impressed by. The owner striked me as a very honest, hard working man. I would definitely recommend him to anyone with car needs. He has also opened or is in the process of opening a new location right off Theodore in Crest Hill. Definitely check them out!!

I brought my 2006 Jeep Commander in because myself and other mechanics could not find the problem. I had a loud squealing sound coming from the rear end somewhere. It was getting louder and louder and after multiple attempts to fix it and lots of money I still couldnt figure out what was wrong. I brought the vehicle into Steven and dropped it off. They figured out the problem pretty quickly. He called me with a quote and I thought the price was good so I had him fix it. When I came to get it I got to meet the mechanic and they were real nice and showed me the broken parts and what had happened to my vehicle. The noise I thought was coming from the brake area ended up coming from the rear axle, the pinion bearing in the rear axle. Ive been driving it for a couple weeks and I have not had any problems. I would recommend them to others. I think theyre trustworthy. I wouldnt be worried about taking your vehicle in there and having them try to make you do things to your vehicle that you dont need. Thats a good quality in an automotive shop. Thank you guys.

Top of the line service! For the first time I felt like I wasnt taken advantage of for auto repairs. Stephen listened to my issue and drove my car around. When he took me back to the shop, he showed me exactly what he found under my car with an oil leak and bad transmission fluid. Within a short period ordered what he needed and took the time to fix it. Asked me to return in 2000 miles to reaccess if more work needs to be done. Felt relieved and an immediate sense of trust and didnt overcharge me. Thank you Stephen!
