This is my first time ever setting foot in a Rural King. I drove by a hundred times when Im in the area?!finally stopped and Im glad I did. Dont let all the tractors and stuff fool you into thinking thats all they got!! they do sell farming equipment theres a lot more to the store than what you would think. Clothes, footwear, groceries,guns,ammo,animal/pet food. They got some real nice boots in there and the prices are really reasonable !!! When I get more time Im going to go back!!!

Great store, good prices. Was easy to exchange our truck battery. Two employees quickly came to assist us. Unlike the customer service at most stores these days.

Way overpriced for what they offer. I mean I want to like this place but every time I go here and quickly reminded why I hardly ever come here. Great socks tho lol

It took them 10 minutes to acknowledge I was standing there, and then I was literally and rudely told that they were way to busy to help me at gun counter and to come back later. There were only 2 customers plus me back there and 2 guys working the counter. Business must be going really well cause they dont need mine.....

I was impressed at the amount of stuff they have on stock. Granted that they didnt have the tire I needed... oh well, what can be done.. they still have a great selection and the price per the quality looks reasonable. I will return for future purchases.

The name says it all!!! Much like walmart for country living. Outdoor clothes for men and women. High end and cheaper brands. Sporting goods, dog food, tools toys you need it in the country they have it.!!They had cages bunnies and uncaged mice ... Seem a mouse run under a pallet. Honestly though I dont know how you could keep that from happening. It lowered my opinion not at all. Bought a 7quart air fryer fr $45

The reviews that say this store has high prices, I don’t know what items they’re referring to but on automotive oils, batteries plus paints and such they have the best price around. On other items I’ve found them to be at least competitive. I’ll continue shopping here as long as I can get better prices on the oil and batteries.

Home decor, feed for animals, clothing, candy, snacks,..... I mean, what can be better than that? Well, their prices are really good, as well.

Always friendly and helpful. They have wide variety of products and I Love that you can find all the old candies and brands there.

Quickly unloaded I got there the day before my appointment. They came in at 0600 the next morning and maybe, 20 min later they had my paperwork and started unloading me

Rural king has everything you need for city and country living, from seeds to clothes and everything in betweenThey also have great snacks my favorite is the sesame sticks the best in town.You can even take your dog in here and let them pick out there toy or bone lol mine usually goes for whats on the bottom shelf.As you can tell its a family store they have fresh popcorn for the kids and something to make everyone happySo check out Rural King it will become one of your favorite stores.

I stopped by to purchase multiple bags of potting soil. Upon checking out, I asked if there was anyone available to help me load since I was still in recovery from shoulder surgery. She said, sure, as she pointed out the guy that worked the outside. I followed the guy out the door and asked if I could get a little help. He explained he had a dozen people ahead of me as he quickly walked away from me. I pulled my truck to the loading area and loaded my purchase slowly so as not to injure the shoulder. There were only 2 others in the loading area (loading themselves) when the same guy comes slowly walking up. He did not offer to help anyone but rather stood and watched.If you need help at Rural King, You had better bring the help along!

Got my neighbor more baby chicks( 8 ) . They are doing great with their new momma .

Very dark inside. Need better lighting. Didnt spend much time cause the lack of adequate lighting was a strain on the eyes. Looks like a great store though.

I must stay away... I spend an ungodly amount of money in that store! They have everything from food to farm supplies. I bypass the grocery store sometimes in favor of Rural King! My son wants one in western MD! His family loves this store as well!

Rural King Cross Lanes bar code scanners not working. Check out clerks had to enter the bar code numbers for each item. I had multiple items. Took over 30 minutes. Will never go back no matter how good a deals they may have

Not people friendly. They dont want to deal with you at all. This store definitely needs new management. I will not be shopping here any longer.

I happen to stop in this store one day and really liked it. Ih had a lot of cool stuff and I think some good prices on stuff. Its like a farm store but they have a lot of different things.just stop in and look around you might find something you want.

Love shopping here so I will say why I didnt give 5 stars. Never have any tshirts in my size. I love the tshirts in displays at front but never have any mediums left when I go. Please get more mediums and larges ordered so I can spend more money at your store😊

A very nice place for more southern style things, such as grills, grill accessories, southern style foodstuffs, guns, farming equipment, animal feed, even animals.

A lil of everything great prices but sometimes the quality isnt up to par stick to the farm supply ect.

What else can I say that I havent already said. Great customer service very friendly and definitely go back again.

My husband and I just enjoy Rural King. The people are nice and friendly with helpful assistance. The prices are relatively fair and cheaper than other high brand pet stores. Easy to get in and out of and too. The only bad thing I can say is their disabled wheels( electric cart) arent working most times and out of date.

I went for dog food. I got the dog food, and also some Teriyaki beef sticks and a flea trap. I looked at gardening supplies. But most importantly, its chick season. I have no desire to raise chickens, but I love strolling past the galvanized tubs holding pullets and listening to their high-pitched cheeping. Its the most popular place in the store.

The Rural King in Cross Lanes, WV has a small engine repair service. Mark, a mechanic there, repaired my push mower in just a couple days and the price was excellent! He explained what he did, and gave me some tips for keeping it running season to season. I was very happy with the entire experience.

Only stopped for directions but they were very helpful and did not look inconvenienced or put out to help someone they didnt.

We came right at closing. We need chickens. All of our chickens were murdered while we were on vacation. We wanted to buy our daughter a new chicken before we came home. We asked from the door, Do you have any chickens? The man was very rude and said, WE ARE CLOSED and would NOT let us in the door. Other customers were checking out and wrapping up. Not how business in America should function. Especially when youre in desperate need of a few chickens. Left this place very sad. Two minutes after closing.

I think its too over priced. I can find the same things much cheaper at my regular stores. I mean they have a lot of merchandise, plenty of room to move around as its always crowded but I dont see to many of those crowds buying much of anything. I rarely buy anything. Only reason I go is if Im with someone that will ask me to go. Sorry just not my type of store.

I love going to Rural King they are pet friendly and they have a little bit of everything. My Great Dane love going also they ALWAYS give her a treat

Made LOTS of improvement since opened. Was horrible then.But now,impressed with lots. Prices are ok..could be better on some items but worth shopping for lots of deals and hard to find items.

Almost as awesome as Wal-Mart in so many ways and better than them in others.

This store is awesome. The employees are always friendly and helpful. The guys at the gun counter are very knowledgeable and patient when you go beyond the normal amount of questions. Only downside to the gun department is they never have 25 or 380 ammunition. Get that straightened out and this store would borderline on being perfect.

I really enjoy shopping at RK. Theres always something for everyone, even when youre not even looking for anything. However this particular location my girl and I stopped in on our way thru from Summersville. I was going to purchase her a new handgun for her birthday, on Tues coming. It took me almost 40 minutes to just to find out that the one we were looking for was not in stock. I would suggest that the clerk get more help or do better multitasking, small talk can distract and suffers the P&L at the end of the day.

We really like our neighborhood Bob Evans. Are favorite waitress is Cinderella (Cindy) is one of the best servers. Always a smile on her face and just a pleasant person. Makes sure to get food out while hot and checks on our drinks. Have a great day and come back when were done.

We wanted a swing and ask two employees for help but neither one of them walked back their! We saw this young kid and ask if he knew there was anymore swings and he was the only one that said I will go back and look! Sure enough he came back with one and stood in line with us and help my husband put it in our truck! To that young man we want to say thank you!

Went to getl a new weed eater, found one, then to find a gift for my son found what we wanted got out. Had friendly cashier (Cindy), really good visit, it was my first trip to the Cross Lanes Rural King..

Found everything I needed in a short amount of time. Everyone was helpful and the store was neat and clean.

Maybe a good idea would be while helping someone. If the store is out of an item have them write the item down. This way the manager could order them and the customer could feel like its important to have exactly what you need. Other than that tbe store was amazing. I will come back when i have more time to shop.

Got to be the rudest people in the world! My sister purchased a weed eater from this store. On the first use she noticed It had a malfunction where it would make the weirdest sounds. She took it back after the first use to the store to exchange it before the 30 day mark was up and they took it for the maintenance person to look at. 3 weeks passed for them to call her back to say everything was fine when clearly it wasn’t. They kept it after the date that was set for her 30 day mark then wouldn’t exchange nor return the item. She called corporate and told them the situation then a couple hours later the store manager called being very rude had her come and get a new one. Thank you corporate for taking care of a situation that should have been easily handled. Poor management there!

This was a very nice and clean place.. Loved it. Will definitely be going back. They offer royal canine and with my mini bull terrier this is awesome. I havent found this brand of dog food anywhere else. Thank you rural king! Oh, and the 100s of birds in my yard is so thankful for the sales od bird feed..

I have spent a lot of money here. I placed a bulk order and it was short, didn’t catch it for a week later. They were excellent to deal with. I drive 45 minutes just to go here. By pass a lot of feed stores. They are great. Awesome employees. Awesome prices.

Didnt have what I wanted. Staff in the Equine section wasnt helpful at all. Loan in the gun section was great. Very helpful and appeared to be very knowledgeable.

The conditions of the bunny is horrible. Rabbits should not be in net cages because of their feet will get sores. Showing a rabbit in a cage like this will set up others, that purchase them, that this is a well suited cage. When I saw this I could not believe it. This has to change for the conditions of these poor bunnies.

Not too busy today when we stopped in. Thankful they carried the items I needed as i had already went to three other stores. Staff was friendly and lines went fast I was thankful because it was rainy and super cold. No complaints friendly employees and clean store with stocked shelves!

Not a good trip today. Went to get a battery for my car. Finally picked one out and took it to check out. The lines were backed up and after several minutes mine started moving but that was because people were leaving their items and walking out. The register was off line but they didnt bother telling us. And if I had gone to another register they couldnt sell the battery because another system was down and they couldnt register the warranty. Bummer. Went to Sams.

The employees are rude and dont want to help. It took them 30 minutes to check us out, an older man behind us complained as he had a very elderly and feeble lady with him and the manager screamed, they can wait or leave. Weve shopped here since they opened but it just seems customers are more of a hassle to them than anything else. Ill take my business elsewhere.

An employee who works here ( Summer Grubb ) is a Psycho.. every since we had shopped here she sound me on Facebook and has been harassing me and my baby who had passed away, my friends and family. She had threatened to shoot my family and I with the gun she had bought from this store that she works at... the manager(s) will not do anything about it. They have said ( she can do whatever she wants ) ... This place is horrible. Anything at this store you can buy at Walmart, or Lowe’s for WAYYY cheaper.. if you are reading this take this under consideration. Have a great day and stay safe.I would give 0 stars if I could
