Hit a deer with my 2016 Toyota Tundra. My dealer recommended them for body work. They found the damages and repaired as was needed and vehicle was returned by the date they promised. Repairs look very good and has my truck looking like the day I bought it. Only thing Im kicking myself over is not consulting and asking to change out that overly chrome grill with a better looking aftermarket grill.
After an incident with a deer I took my car to Tom and Ed’s body shop. They were recommended by progressive insurance. After two weeks I noticed that there was a defect in the craftsmanship. I took my car back to the shop and the individual I spoke to tried to convince me that the defective work, what is the cause of someone kicking or hitting the right front passenger fender. Yet there are no visible marks of anyone hitting or punching the panel. Of course the body shop has cashed my check and I have no repercussions.
Had a quality estimate preformed on my car 🚗 for minor body damage 💔 polite, professional, courteous, service
Absolute joke and a waste of time. I had an accident in May and brought my vehicle here through my insurance. They had it for a month and failed to fix the suspension damage. I had to leave it for another week and a half for them to fix that. Part of the suspension damage fixed was a strut. I just took my vehicle to a dealership to investigate a noise with the front suspension and the strut Tom and Eds replaced was the wrong aftermarket part (Mopar parts only were authorized) and I now had to take it back a third time for them to fix. The appointment for this strut repair was set up a week in advance and the part was ordered and ready to go. Was told it would take one day. I had to call to find out they will need it another day or so to replace additional parts.
After a deer ran into my Jeep Patriot. I thought It might be totaled but they looked over the damage before the insurance inspection was even made and Tom insured me that it could be fixed. So I heard back from the insurance company 4 days later saying it would be fixed and that day tom & Ed’s updated me. And had everything done within the week with the upmost quality and customer service I couldn’t be happier to be back on the road, BIG SHOUT OUT!!
Havent really checked it out yet but first thing tomorrow morning....I will definitely let you know
I recently had someone hit my brand new car. Lol. Everyone was booked untill mid May. Heard great things about Tom and Eds so I swung by to see when they could get my car done. Aaron got me in right away. Made sure I was taken care of from start to finish. Always kept me in the loop. They got my car done quicker than expected. I am ocd about my cars so I was nervous about having it painted. Its a hard color to match. They did a great job. Its hard to find great customer service and great work these days. Ill be using them from here on out. Great people!
This is a fantastic business. I am extremely pleased with their quality and professionalism. They made what was a bad experience for me (the collision) far less painful. The process was smooth and the techs were very knowledgeable, sincere, and professional. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
The manager got my claim denied before the adjustors could even see it. My car was egged and it caused bubbling paint on my roof(pictures show egg shells in that location and eggs were on for at least 16 hours). State farm wouldnt work with me and denied denied and denied my claim, because of an opinion that was literally an opinion. Fact was pictures show no damage until then. The Schererville office and highland one always took care of business, and done spectacular jobs. This guy made me look like a crook, and now I have 5k paint job that I have to pay out of pocket. I will never use them again, nor recommend. Thanks for making me look like Im trying to pull one over, when Ive never and have never done that.
3 reasons for this rating.I have taken 3 different cars to this body shop to be repaired and repainted due to bad accidents. Here is my experience: 1st car 04 Subaru STI. Car had a lot of front end damage, and the seats were soaked due to a flood. Tom&Eds took care of that from AtoZ. The removed all the interior, dried out the car, and made it like new. On the exterior, the paint job perfectly matched the original stock color. However, the bad thing I discovered was that they painted over all existing rock-chips and did NO sanding of any kind. Therefore any rock-chips were painted over and stood out. I was really happy with how the car turned out, except for the rock chips that were easily seen through the new metallic blue paint. 3.8 stars for that car. 2nd car: blue metallic Mini S that got rear ended which damaged the back hatchback door and rear quarter panel. Tom&Eds perfectly color matched the paint (which was awesome!), found the correct body pieces off of another car to match, and put the car back nicely. The only flaw I noticed was that the rear hatch was not perfectly aligned, but it did open and close, and lock the way it was meant to. 4.8 stars for the Mini. 3rd car was a metallic black 335i which had some driver side damage because a oak tree branch went through the front plastic fender. They did a great body paint-matching job. They had to repaint the hood, but same issue again as the 1st car. They did not sand down the hood, so any and all rock chips were painted over and EASILY STOOD OUT TO THE NAKED EYE!!!Now for the 4th car: a friend of mine took his car there to get it repaired, and it was a flat red Mercedes 2-door. Same issue again!!! The repainted OVER ALL THE ROCK CHIPS!!! On the hood and front fender, it looked like an inexperienced kid did it. That really stood out, too. He owns a tint shop and veers everyone to not go there, due to that. Thats my experience. You have been warned.
The body repairs on my van were done spectacularly. Highly recommend this establishment.
Great business, very friendly and honest people.
Very professional and extremely nice
Love how they took care of me as i walked through the door. This place did a beautiful job on my kia soul. Looks brand new! Service was the BEST! I highly recommend this place.
GREAT JOB on my SUV... Friendly and Fast
Communication and customer service is awesome. Best around. Body work was not great. Vehicle was rear ended. They replaced damaged parts and was supposed to align trunk. Shop was busy so they sent the car off to another Tom and Eds. Was called promptly when it was completed. Turned in rental car and picked up vehicle when I went to get it it looked like the trunk was popped open a little. Took a while to get the payment figured out as it went to another shop but finally got through that and say it was noticably off. Didnt have time or resources to complain and see if they could fix it again. Insurance was covering it but still they had an opportunity to do the job and correct. It wasnt just a little off so whoever signed off on it and everyone who was in the process of returning the vehicle were ok with sub par craftsmanship.
Nice repair job on my truck. The after-repair detail was just adequate, but if you want a high quality detail, take it to a place specializing in detailing lol.
When you get your final bill and the amount has changed. Received call to notify me there were supplemental charges for 2 items not seen on initial estimate. Fine proceed with repairs. Updated invoice received one day before pickup. Went to pick up vehicle and there is more charges for one more item not mentioned before. Unacceptable. No one notified me of the extra part that was needed.
They did an incredible job on my wifes car. Customer service is second to none
Andy, the owner, is one of the most moral and honest people you can imagine. They are a great example of a shining local business. They knkw how to take care of YOU not your insurance company. Cant recommend then enough.
Instead of an estimate he buffed my damage at no charge! I will be back and would highly recommend this shop.Thank you!
Highly recommended body shop great customer service..
Employees are nice and helpful
Very professional. Great experience
Tom and Eds has a great team of people to work with!
Great job on my truck!
Very professional, great folks to work with
Edit:Im updating my review because after another issue (my battery died one night while at work) the owner went above and beyond to tow my car to the closest shop for an entire electrical evaluation - after checking everything, including my alternator, they found there was a dead cell in my battery and handled the replacement.I still think the hourly workers in the shop couldnt care less about the cars they are working on - its just their job to them and they want to clock out BUT I will say the management has handled everything thats arisen and have done everything to make sure Im satisfied and safe in my vehicle.Id recommend them based on their customer service and writing wrongs, I just hope those in the shop get a talk about doing things right the first time.Original:Meh. Took my car here because it meant bypassing the extra step of having the insurance agent look at my car after my accident - plus, Enterprise is literally 150ft away so I could do everything without needing a ride anywhere. The shop never ONCE called me, in the week it had my car, to let me know how the process was going. I went once to retrieve something from my car and was updated as I asked and another time, when I called to see when in the world it was going to be done. Two times - when I contacted them, over 8 days. Neat.My husband picked up my car while wrangling a very tired 3yo and putting the carseat back in so he didnt thoroughly look at the vehicle. When I looked at the car the next morning, with less than a mile driven on it, I noticed a deep scratch on my brand new bumper - they buffed it out, while still saying they didnt know how that couldve happened. Fine, whatever.Next day, driving the car, I go to clean the snow/salt gunk off my back window only to see that the wiper is moving but the fluid isnt ejecting. Figured I must be out of wiper fluid... until I took my eyes off my rearview mirror and noticed that my windshield was wet. So I went to clean that off, and dont you know it - the wipers on the windshield went off, with no fluid but the fluid ejected out of the back window wiper. YAY - they messed up some wiring. SUPER.Theyve promised to fix it, so now I have to go back and spend more of my time waiting. It was a 5k claim and they couldnt have cared less to make sure it was done properly the first time. Im the only one suffering from their mess-up, not them... I wish I could make them refund me portions of my deductible for the time wasted, mileage/gas going to and from and overall annoyance.tl;dr - take your car elsewhere so things can hopefully be done right the first time. I, personally, just hope nothing else is wrong - that an airbag doesnt randomly deploy or they didnt mess up my brake lines OR SOMETHING - because my child rides in this car. Its a 2014... I shouldnt have to worry about safety issues for a very, very long time - if ever. Their mechanics clearly dont care to double-check their work for your safety and that of your familys!
Time and time again I’ve worked with Tom and Ed’s and they’ve surpassed every expectation. I can’t recommend them any higher.
Quality work!
Nope.
