I recently moved to the Hebron area and was looking forward to having a nearby grocery store so that I didnt have to mess with the bigger crowds in Valpo and Merrillville. Unfortunately, I ended up leaving this store within 10 minutes. Almost everything is managers special, which means it is either recently expired or is close to expiring. You have to check every single thing you pick up to make sure the expiration date is good. Im not sure why this is the case, but I was very disappointment. The selection is great, but I dont want to buy expired food.

My family comes here often but this is the first time that the cashier (her name was Rachel I believe because it was the name on the receipt)was helpful and outgoing! Usually they dont really talk to us or seem like they are in a bad mood. So thank you for making it a nice experience!

Wise way has the largest variety, extremely clean, best customer service and small town grocery store that I enjoy shopping in!!!

Good store for some niche food items you cant find elsewhere

They had all the same stuff as other big price stores, their prices were better, not crowded at all, so great for Covid-19 shopping. Also they had my Tyson Buffalo Wings that are so freaking hard to find. Probably shouldnt mention that on here. Anyway kind workers, great location, I highly recommend this store. I am a instacart shopper so trust me I know.

They have a huge selection of great foods in the deli, seafood, bakery & on the shelves. A little more money than other grocery stores, but conveniently located to my house & the only WiseWay left! WiseWay has always had a reputation of being great to their customers too.

Nice grocery store, if they weren’t price gouging there customers. I would drive 3 miles out of my to go Aldi or Strack’s or right around the corner Dollar General or Wakgreens to avoid them. This is a Joke and they think it’s ok? You are the joke of the neighborhood because everyone is talking about it. It is a necessity for the area, but it doesnt cut corners because of it. The floor plan is easy to traverse (after a visit or two) and the selection is vast. It is a no-brainier to go there for groceries.

This grocery store is so expensive, but their bakery and meat department are wonderful.

The most pathetic packing job I have ever seen. Bags extremely heavy causing handles to break. Produce mixed with frozen foods, bread smashed, heavy drinks not double bagged all groceries just thrown in bags. On a positive note the cashier was excellent. Very fast.

I went to Wiseway Winfield on Saturday morning at 7am, the time set aside for seniors. What a lovely experience. The store was so clean and fresh, the produce was fresh and beautifully arranged. Most of all the staff was courteous and extremely helpful. I would have to say that this was one of the best shopping experiences ever! Thank you, thank you.

Its a very clean and friendly grocery store. But its also higher priced than stracks or jewel. Has a 90/00s feel to it. Reminds me a lot of Walts. When we need something fast or forgot something at the main grocery store we come here.They do have a few items that we cant find elsewhere too.

Overpriced items and a lot of times I end up with stuff that has been expired for weeks. Check your dates. Wish there was another grocery option close by.

WiseWay rocks! Clean Store, Friendly staff and the meat department has always fulfilled my requests. They carry a lot of hard-to-find items. Just like it was when it was Amelias.

Cashier was on his cell, took his time to ring up my stuff, I mentioned to him how my job frowns on people who are on their phone and his response was....well its good for management to go through that stuff, those were his exact words. If you are going to work in customer service you should know that the customer does not delight in waiting for you to browse your social media. Sadly this was not a teen he looked like he was mid 50s.

I love the Winfield Wiseway. The produce is displayed like a work of art - its all so neatly arranged and looks so clean and fresh and healthy. They have a huge section of vegan, vegetarian and organic foods. The staff is friendly and helpful. The aisles are roomy, its easy to find what you want because there are specific signs everywhere, and I have never had to wait more than two minutes to check out. It really is a wonderful grocery store - check it out, you wont regret it.

I rated this place a 3 star simply because it is in the middle. Some days you will find really great deals. Other days it will be nothing much there especially if you are looking for specific things. You do have to pick through your fruits and veggies as some might be overripe or have mold but for the price you pay for the good picks you really cant complain. Me and my wife visit often. The employees are friendly and its never really too crowded when we go.

Theyre prices are outrageous, their prices are anywhere from 2 to 10 plus dollar difference on everything from pudding, milk, soda, pet supplies at least 5.00 difference. Horrible their produce and bakery are insanely priced unless close to expiration then maybe a sale price or what other stores sell for. Theyre the highest around stay clear unless an emergency

Ok . Not really grocery store, but more of specialty store. When asked to stock certain items, your request is ignored. Need to watch expiration dates. Otherwise great place to run to for quick shopping trip.

Way too expensive. They dont carry a lot of ethnic food. I went in asking for collard greens at Thanksgiving time and the produce man asked me what are they?. ...how do they taste? ...how are they cooked?. ...really? Get a clue WW. The world (even here in CP) is more than just white. Just like the original Thanksgiving!

Although the place looked very clean and inviting, the prices are outrageous! Trying to feed three growing teenagers and two adult parents and us me and Colleen cost money. We dont have the money to pay for all of that. The pop oh my gosh the pop overpriced and bad selection no diet unless you buy 2 L and you only can get Coke. The strawberry milk is overpriced so we settled on strawberry syrup so Im thankful that they had it but come on the price of it oh my gosh. Thats my review. Over priced and expired food

We go to the store for their meat stock up sales. If you have the need and space to buy large quantities of decent cuts of meet, you cant beat their sales. Products are sold whole but plenty of butchers to cut steaks and or chops for you. Chicken, turkey breast, and anything else you can think of is on sale. We travel at least 20 miles for this sale. Otherwise in my opinion this store is kind of pricey.

It’s convenient and anything you need is there. Friendly staff. You could find great deals specially their meat area. Can’t wait for when the remodeling would be finished.

The quality of the produce is not the best. I bought cheese from this store a couple weeks ago that was already molded. The prices are kind of high compared to other stores. The only reason I shop there is because it is convenient.

About a month ago i visited and tried to purchase the 5 for 19.99.. not only would the 5 item ring up properly but the cashier refused to call a manager and tried to tell me the 5.00 extra cost was SALES TAX.... just let the soak in.. so.. i visit again today and yet again the prices were wrong and ringing up more then the shelf price i just walked out.. i will not be returning.. and for those of you who do shop there watch as the items ring up because management is unable to run the computer system properly

The prices were better today on the things I bought. Sometimes they are so outrageous I wont put them in my cart. For instance the Ezekiel bread was $4.59 but the other day it was $7.19. So no I did not buy it. Grape tomatoes were cheap today $1.49 each and chips 2 for $5. Fritos were .50 more than the dollar store and I bought them. The wine I wanted apparently is discontinued that is the Bolland wines. That was very disappointing. The checker was nice.

I only go here when absolutely necessary. The food is so expensive. Some items are literally twice the price of Walmart. Its outrageous. Also, we bought some bacon from there and it was moldy! Thank God I caught it or we could have gotten very sick. Be careful if you shop here especially if its meat. Check their fb page reviews too!

The bakery products are expired or old twice I have purchased and twice have gotten bad cakes. Chocolate birthday cake with mold in it when we cut it. Ruined my wife’s Birthday and they gave me hard time returning it even thou the sticker showed it was from their store. New store manager desperately needed. S,O.S

Employees very nice and helpful. Store very crowded, and a bit junky looking with limited stock. The layout of the store forces you on a three-day hike just to grab milk and bread. I try not to have this place as my only option.

On two separate occasions I’ve heard the employees at this store talk badly about and mock women who use WIC. I was in line at a register and heard one employee just call a woman with a brand new baby “the WIC lady.” I think it’s very ignorant and distasteful to judge someone for their financial situation because they’re “forcing” you to do a little extra work by accepting their vouchers. I’m really disgusted right now. They must want women to feel ashamed for using WIC or something. Won’t be back here unless absolutely necessary.

We only go here for small trips and go into Valpo for our larger trips. Prices are higher because of the convenience factor. Limited in the products they carry and I have witnessed food that is over a month past date for sale.

The prices here are ridiculous! If I didnt live so close, Id never go there! I only go there if I absolutely need something and dont want to drive further. They have little signs all over the place that say theyre fixing the economy 1 bag at a time, meaning their prices are low...what a lie! Also, you can never find anyone to help you that isnt already cashiering. Id give this zero stars if I could, but since they are a fairly clean store, Ill give it 1.
