Wonderful location, employees are always super helpful and polite. Its pretty apparent ownership could care a little more. The computers usually crash when Im there. Waiting 15 minutes while the system reboots is a sure way to get people to not want to come back. Has been an issue for at least a year.Regardless, great place for gifts and collectibles. The coffee shop is nice, too. Book selection is great and personnel are always happy to help you find what youre looking for. Not many more book spots in this area, hope it sticks around.
Sections and isles were clean and clear and books were stacked neatly. It was very easy to navigate the store. Cashier asked if I found what I was looking for which is good.
Good experience. Good environment. Quiet and relaxing. Great selection.
I could spend hours here. Theyre having a sale right now and a lot of really good stuff is on sale. Even if you hate reading, I promise youll find something you love in this store.
Always love going. The staff is VERY POLITE, PATIENT AND HELFULL! Great selection of different types of inventory!MaryBeth Alleman
I always liked Borders better than Barnes and Noble and Books-A-Million is basically Borders resurrected! Specifically at this location the people are very friendly theres a good selection of books and games and pretty much anything youd like as well as a cafe with very good coffee and food. It is also not nearly as large or busy as the Barnes & Noble nearby which is a good thing. It is just the right size, large but not too large. I love it!
They have a section with bargain books that I like. Always a friendly atmosphere. If you enjoy a refreshment you can get a cup of coffee and check out a book.
Dani, barista, made a great white mocha and Seth, cashier, was friendly and efficient. Always a great selection of books!
My favorite corporate bookstore in the are. Better selection than Barnes & Noble even though their store is smaller.
Enjoyable place to shop for books. Certain content areas are a little light (e.g., sports), and it can be somewhat challenging to locate certain sections of interest (where IS the sports section?; and, the Mysteries?). Overall, you get there and find what you need. Plenty of selections; nice little coffee shop. Comfortable place to browse.
My husband and I end up here on every date night. We just love it. We never leave without something we HAD TO HAVE. My ONLY issue is how difficult it is to find something youre specifically looking for. I have been interested in reading a new book by a specific author but couldnt find it. I wish there were some kind of catalog feature like in a library that would at least give you the certain section you can find the book in, if not row specific. Thats my only, somewhat ridiculous, reason for 4 stars rather than 5.
The sales people were helpful. Store was clean and well organized as usual.
My go-to for D&D books and dice, also has a nice selection of comics and merch. Workers are always very helpful and polite and i love thier rewards program!
Looking for a particular book, all the employees were behind the front counter talking. ( no customers were being checked out) it would have been nice if at least 2 had been on the floor
I have a membership and the coupons are great! Its a solid spot to pick up gifts! From books to nerdy merchandise and accessories BAM has you covered!
Lots of bargain books. Be prepared to spend time looking fir what you want.
Loved this place, made me think of a barnes and noble on steroids. Something there for all ages, would recomend!
Was never served at the coffee shop after waiting 20 min, nobody ever showed at the counter. Ended up finding some good books and paid cheaper than Amazon. As this surprised me since Im used to Borders prices being so much higher. Fairly priced, but coffee shop was lacking on the day I went in.
I always spend way too long perusing the stacks. Large variety and Im VERY happy to have found the next addition to one of my series
I remember this being Borders bookstore had some good times in there BAM books is basically borders but with a different name I like that the store isnt to big its about midsize so I was able to walk around and find what I needed. Would definitely recommend BAM BOOKS
Nice clean, several books on the topic I m interested with.
I love to study and they have a Good selection of books and other products. Good staff and a relaxing atmosphere.
I love this store. I always find what I am looking for.
This BAM looked a little rough on the outside but it was clean and bright on the inside. They had a lot of cute stations set up for Halloween. I really enjoyed the atmosphere.
Lots of books to choose from, and they have toys for the kids. There is also a small Cafe with cookies and drinks. Decent prices and if you sign up for the membership more discounts.I will say the reason I give it three stars is there never seems to be enough staff and the few times Ive gone, there were technical difficulties with their computer systems.Aside from that, its clean and again there is a good selection of books.
BAM has a lot of good childrens books. They probably lack spunk. Barnes and Noble...you walk in, the heavens open up. BAM is like going through a portal to another world, kind of dark. Maybe if the girls up front were not so goth and seemingly dark. You are at work...you have a job...you could as least pretend to be happy. Say hello to your customers!! Oh yes...the store is clean!
How can you not like a bookstore that is still open!It seems like Barnes & Noble has more selection of new releases but I found a 2020 book that I was looking for at BAM and it was not in stock at B&N.
Love this place. So many books..
Brandon and Samantha were Awesome! Got me hooked up with a reading light and made sure I had a working one. Great experience.
I enjoy shopping here. Especially when items are on sale. They always have a great selection of reading materials, and fun things to look at. Nice selection of magazines too. Joe Mugs coffee is delicious at B.A.M.Its great, now DVDS are half off along with CDS.And, their employees are helpful and friendly.
I think these stores used to be borders. At least this one. I could easily go broke in here just buying books and magazines. I didnt look at much else but they seem to have a lot of good stuff.
Nice place for unique items that arent carried in other stores.
Great staff..Great stuff..Luv this store here alot..😁
If you like books this is the place.
Looking for good books by my favorite author. Found a few but not the ones i was looking for.
Very clean store and the staff was very nice. My daughter is into manga and they have like a million diffrent books
Books-A-Million employs real book nerds. I love it.
Good place to shop for good books and everything else bargain store
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS WONDERFUL PLACE! Thank you everyone for keeping this awesome store open! 💖💝
I used to have a 3 star review for this place, but I changed it to 5, not that they really needed it, with a current 4.3 out of almost a thousand reviews. Ive been back recently, post-pandemic, and it made me goad theres so much like Borders remaining inside this former Borders Books and Music location. It smells familiar, and like a bookstore should, like fresh coffee. The staff was polite greeting my friend and I. The selection wasnt lacking in any way in particular, and it didnt feel like the paper book industry was dying like so many waning book stores have ominously implied.
Great gift ideas. I went clueless and walked out wth most of the presents 🎁 I needed. Helpful staff
I come here often for magazines and books. While Amazon is great, sometimes I prefer to stumble upon finds by holding them in my hands. Plus, magazines just need to be browsed prior to purchase or subscribing. They have a great selection of Linux magazines from the UK and plenty on the Raspberry PI.Also, Books-A-Million has an on-line option as well they is typically a little cheaper than Amazon. The on-line reviews -- while good -- are typically not as robust as what you might find on Amazon. There is a coffee shop in this store as well which sells bottled soda, too.
Huge selection. The coffee is delicious
They have overstock books. They have slightly used books at discount prices. The two sections I was interested in were almost missing they are so small. So if you want Young Adult or Fiction or some sort of philosophical belief system, this is the store for you. If you want Computer or Gardening, not so much.
A little expensive but thats to be expected with chain-stores, but overall a good experience. Good selection of books including Bibles and they even have a selection of vinyl records.
I signed up for the books a million membership and loved the selection and hospitality.
H holiday sales are the bestAnd dont need to worry about shipping
I love a good bookstore. Especially when it has extras like a used book and movie section, book related merchandise, vinyl albums, and tech gear. I really loved the Harry Potter section. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will be back.
I love going to b.a.m but going to this location was terrible books not in order staff didnt know anything about any book I was looking for nor where it would be. I also asked if they had I love Lucy and they didnt have a clue what I was talking about. Im 25 the lady had to be in her late 30s. Very upset recieved no help wont go back.
The prices are decent considering the selection they have. Theres a ton of clearance and good deals on regular priced merchandise from time to time. My only problem was the employee who rang us out. She literally tried to get me to sign up for the rewards program THREE times. It made me feel uncomfortable because her tone changed each time I said no thanks. She explained that the rewards program normally costs $25, but its only $17 right now and they immediately give you a $10 gift card for signing up. I dont need that, I just need to buy what I have so I say no. It saves you money and it would basically pay for one of your books right now. How does spending an extra $7 save me money right now? It doesnt. Please dont be pushy like this. Its already a good thing that youve reeled customers into your store rather than them ordering from Amazon, so dont make them feel weird for coming here.
They had everything I wanted there and for a great price. Love this place! 10 out of 10, would recommend completely
Very nice and polite, very helpful 👍.
Covid 19 and homeschooling.. BAM has become a wonderful place to escape while enjoying a great book.
Really cool store that doesnt get much recognition. Id never even heard of it before I stopped in to see what it was all about. Although the staff is very friendly they try to up sell just a bit too much. Also their reward program for becoming a member (which requires a cash deposit) doesnt seem to equal out since most of their prices are just a bit over retail at most other places. But they do seem to have less common items which is cool if youre looking for something specific that may be out of print or rare.
I love this place! Its so relaxing and peaceful walking through the store while youre looking at the books. Kind of takes your mind off of everything for a little bit.
So clean. So many items I would like to buy. Had exactly what I wanted. Great cashier.
Great atmosphere and wonderful staff. The entire store feels cozy and warm, with just that bookstore feel that you want. A pleasant cafe is within the store, so it provides the perfect place to sit and snack while you read. Some books are largely overpriced ($20 or more), which is unfortunate, though an understandable reason as to why the likes of Amazon are gaining control of the market. Some arrangements of genre feel a bit oddly placed.
Great place with every kind of book you could ever imagine and the prices was good and clearance prices great. They have so many items other than books like t-shirts, calendars, mugs, keychains, toys and much more. Its a pretty big store with lots of interesting stuff at decent prices and friendly workers. I would definitely recommend this book store.
Always have a very wide selection and I rarely leave disappointed.
Really relaxed environment here. Good coffee. Very small CD selection, carried Tool though, which was nice to see. Lots of neat board games to choose from. Will return.
The employees were very friendly, and I even got a great deal on their membership. The books we went there for werent cheap, but the cheapest Ive seen so far.
Fun lil place. Sells the kind of books my kiddo is into
The employees are super friendly, and there is always a nice collection of books. I do wish they kept more of certain series in stock, but it isnt the biggest store, so I cant blame them for streamlining.
Sales person was willing to help. I was looking for The Witcher box set but its location on the shelf was empty (sad face). Good prices, great t-shirts and a place to still buy print books. Support knowledge!
Selection of science and nature books could use some work.
This store was the only place I found a hard to find book🤗However, upon arrival I was met by an over enthusiastic young lady who talked me into buying their membership. She said I would get three free magazine subscriptions and she helped me pick which 3 I liked, and the membership was only $15. She would charge me for the membership then turn around and give me my ten dollars right back, and by becoming a member I would get a discount on the book I was buying right now. So I say that is great.I get home and I find the sheet that gives me the number for me to call for the magazine subscriptions, I also find tucked in the bag a card with a code on it for me to spend a $10 discount toward another purchase, so I am upset really because on the receipt it shows I was charged $25.00 for the book with a $2.50 discount toward my total purchase and the cost of membership was $25. So I was taxed on the entire amount. The price tag on the book read $22.99 so I really only got a $0.50 discount on paper.Bottom line I was highly pressured into purchasing these extras I was in a hurry and just kept agreeing to what this woman offered me as saving me money. I ended up doing a return on all of it. I was refunded $25.00 for the membership. Returned the book at the discounted price then repurchased it and got more money back to put in my pocket. They made it right but what a hassle.
Very pleasant. Such a variety of things to shop for.
This is a decent bookstore with just enough titles to get your book fix in a pinch. We were able to find enough books to keep us occupied on our return flight home. The prices were full cover price with no discounts except the clearance section. In an area with declining options to shop it was a gift to find this place.
Awesome bookstore close to home. Neat and clean! The employees were very helpful. Not sure if theres a better way to organize titles, but all stores seem to be the same. Just has me interested in more books now, thanks! Haha!
Awesome location! Cashiers were very helpful when I couldnt find what I wanted and was going to settle for something else. They immediately pointed me in the right direction and help me find exactly what I needed. Other customer service and staff picked up the other people in line so that I wasnt holding anything up. Most locations do not attempt to make sure that the customer is fully satisfied, but this one is. All of the books in this location were untarnished or ripped or looked used.
Very friendly staff, I come here every holiday season to get a much needed break from my in-laws. I purchase a book and then sit and read it over a nice cup of coffee. 👍🏻
Some good prices on books
Typically can find what Im looking for. The staff is helpful and I always end up buying some weird little toy or knick knack. The only reason I didnt give the fifth star is the prices always seem to be so much higher than other stores or Amazon.
Staff is always friendly and eager to help find whatever I need even if it needs ordered.
Great selection of books. Employees very helpful when in need of finding a certain book. Prices arent bad. very nice displays and a very clean facility. Quaint little coffee shop is a great place to read a book and get coffee. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who is trying to choose a bookstore to buy books from.
Nice clean store with a “million” options to choose from. Great place to shop for the whole family. Nice toy selection too!!
Love the atmosphere, the cafe is really nice and quiet, and if you cant find it there, they will help you find what you need and get it there, they helped me find a very hard to find book that I had been hunting for, for quite a while. Something for everyone, even fun planners and toys for the kids. They had a lot of Harry Potter and Minecraft items this last time. I could easily spend hours here just because I love the staff and vibe of the place so much.
Not bad. Reminded me of the old Borders that used to be in business. Funny how that particular bookstore used to be a Borders. Didnt find it any different than a Barnes & Noble or other big chain bookstore. I did like the fact that they had a used book section which Barnes & Noble does not have. Still I was able to find what i was looking for and the staff were very knowledgeable about what they sold.
It feels like an old school, off brand Barnes and Noble, and thats a really amazing thing! Great little place to spend an afternoon and find some well priced books.
Everyone that works here is amazing. They love to have conversations about their favorite books with the customers and also helped me decide between a series. I always love just going to the book store even if it’s just to browse or grab a cup of coffee. The staff are all very helpful and sweet. This is one of my favorite places to go
Great place to find something new. Staff is excellent, I was helped by a beautiful young woman named Sarah. She handled all of my needs and I left with a smile. I will definitely be back.
Always enjoyed this place, tons of cool and different things to read.
Large selection of Books, media, magazines, novelty items and replicas. Serviceable coffee service and places for you to sit, drink and read. I especially like their growing section of collectibles. It was sad to see Barns and Noble go and do appreciate that Books a Million stepped up to the plate and has a physical brick and mortar store when a family can go and hang out and purchase magazines and books.
Great staff! Super helpful and pleasant. Great selection of books and gifts.
I love book stores. Today, due to a health issue, I needed assistance to find specific books. There was literally no one to be seen working other than one person at the register and one person at the cafe. I finally found what I wanted, but was not pleased with the situation.
Lovely collection of books!
Love all the stuff
So many great books to buy and prices arent that bad. Employees were really nice as well.
There is no greater feel then that of a good book. We are all in need of a break from our own lives, from our own thoughts. Reading a book, feeling the pages between you fingers, smelling the paper and ink; that is my vice, and this lovely quite place is my treatment center (as are all bookstores and libraries). Thank ful tonight there werent any whining kids or teens to upset the peace. :)
Nice selection of new and used books, stationary, toys and knick knacks. The store was clean and in good order.
Been coming here since it was a Borders bookstore. Always have a great selection of books sprinkled with silly little things you dont need but totally have to buy 😂
This book 📚 has so much. It was well worth the drive
Always a great variety of stuff. Best place to be stuck on a rainy day.
Its an awesome place for books of all kinds. Wonderful service and kind people to greet and assist you. A wonderful calm, quiet environment.
Love the selection of books, and the extra stuff! Can find really awesome funko pops here!!!
Always love going into places like this. Very nicely organized. The staff was very friendly. I enjoy seeing all the new toys, techs and gadgets that they are always getting in.
