The customer service at Baby & Kid’s 1st is incredible!!! Carol has been a godsend - she has gone above and beyond to make my daughter’s experience with her first child as easy and memorable as possible. One of the gifts on her registry was delayed in transit, so she personally picked it up from the warehouse and delivered it to her shower. She has been so kind and helpful with the furniture choices, bedding, parenting and product classes, as well as the registry organization! We’ve been so pleased with the quality of all the products she has suggested. Thank you Carol, you redefine customer service!!

I was really excited to learn about this store. I ordered 2 items. A glider and a dresser. The glider they promised would be in by the time the baby arrives. I called to check on status and now it’s delayed almost 2 months. They didn’t say it’s delayed…they just said it’s X date. There was zero communication. I was supposed to hear back from the manager and no response. I even called again, but they said she’s busy and will call me. Another day and no call. I really thought it was going to be nice to have a baby store nearby, but guess online ordering with others is the way to go? Disappointed

Super helpful staff but not the cheapest of prices. However, annoyed by the limited hours of operation. They open late and close early yet staff complains about low sales...cant get there early enough after work and you have to wait until midday on the weekend to be able to even walk in.I feel like more business is to be had if they opened for longer hours on the weekends, atleast.

Highly recommend baby & kids 1st!! I have always found all the staff to be extremely knowledgeable and even more helpful!! They always take excellent care of me and answer all of my questions, they have never steered me wrong. Stefan specifically is amazing!! We purchased an infant car seat and 2 bases yesterday from Baby’s 1st on Richmond Ave. Stephan helped us. He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and never made us feel pressure to buy anything. He was able to steer us in the right direction and helped us make the right choice for us. His customer service skills are excellent. We were offered water from another employee that just happen to be walking though the department. And when we checked out, the lady was very kind. I can’t recommend this place enough.

I bought a very nice crib/convertible bed from them for my grand daughter about three years ago. The sales people were nice, and everything was done efficiently.Since my grand daughter is now 2.5 or so, we needed to buy a car seat for her in order to pick her up from her parents to bring her to our house on occasions. Since we live very far away, the purchasing was done via the telephone. The sales guy, Adrian, was quite helpful. We used the service thats included with a car seat purchase for them to install the car seat. The installation was very efficient. The installer, Stephan, was awesome. He showed us all the important stuff for installing it, how to adjust the belts, and what to watch out for.

Carol from the Sugar Land location was amazing! She took her time explaining every product to my wife and I. As first time parent’s we were not sure on everything. She made everything clear, and took her time explaining the products. She even stayed after closing time to make sure we had everything we needed before leaving. Carol was very knowledgeable and passionate. Thank you so much Carol for making it easy for us. We will be back to see you with our future needs, and will refer future parents your way as well.

Babies and Kid’s 1st has been involved with our family since before the birth of our first baby during the pandemic. We were able to attend their class on essential items for your newborn and answered so many questions that I had when starting my research. They also are the gurus of car seats! There are so many on the market that it gets very intimidating. They will give you honest feedback and listen to your family’s needs. We have purchased our car seats from them with the help of Stephan, and Mary’s patience/ sense of humor just solidify our patronage.

Stephon was amazing and informational during my car seat class! As a first time mom and the youngest of my family, I wanted to make sure I felt comfortable with the car seat installation and to get any information I may not be aware of. I wasn’t sure what to expect but my expectations were exceeded. He quickly installed the car seat and let me know how to do it properly, then went over some car seat ground rules, mechanisms, and how to safely place baby in the seat securely and comfortably. I was allowed to practice as well with a doll. He is certified and truly educated on the topic! I will refer other moms I know to this class, because you don’t know what you don’t know and safety should always be a priority! It was quick and easy to schedule an appointment and I am thankful for the knowledge shared!

I love Baby’s & Kid’s 1st. We have gotten a large majority of our baby items from them because they are just incredible! They are a mom and pop shop that truly love their customers. We recently went to their store over the weekend because our 1 year old is growing and we were looking for a new car seat. YA’LL, they are truly there to help you, and not just after a buck. The car seat expert explained that although we could get a new car seat, we didn’t need to. We could still wait because our baby had not reached the height for a bigger car seat. He could have easily tried to sell us a new carseat because we thought we needed one. HE. DID. NOT. He was honest and gave us so much information. Its always a breath of fresh air knowing someone is also looking out for the well being of your child/family. You can never get this experience anywhere else! Its personal!

We love Babys 1st and their staff for all of our baby/toddler needs. Stephan in particular is incredibly patient and knowledgeable. It’s always a pleasure working with him! We wouldn’t go anywhere else to shop for our baby.

I had been looking for baby furniture for a long time. I had originally found something at another store but when I went to buy it they were back ordered. So we came here fo see if we could locate another option. We eventually did and purchase the crib and chair below. I will say that their prices are a bit high. I found the crib below at another store for less money but as Babys & Kids 1st was having a sale it worked out sort of even but it is worth shopping around if you see something you like here. I really like our chair, the fabric options where crazy extensive and you would have no issue finding a fabric to fit your needs.The only issue was our sales lady, she was very kind but kept saying I will give yall time to look around and then 2 min later she would be right with us again. I like my space to browse so if you say you are going to give me some please follow through. When we got to the store they made a big deal to note that they do NOT work on commission so I am not sure why she was tagging along.Delivery and setup were very reasonable in my opinion and I recommend using that option if you can.Overall I would return to shop again if needed.

The staff here are so knowledgeable and helped us install our Nuna Rava with ease and bountiful information! I couldn’t recommend them more! We will definitely be back!

*We bought a car seat and a stroller.* With so many baby products out there, honestly, we felt overwhelmed. However, Stephon was very informative, kind, and patient while going over everything we were interested in. Glad we went there to look over, and learn about them all before making that very important purchase!

The associates that assisted us (Carol and Estephon) went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. They assisted us in explaining all aspects of the the stroller and car seat. I was in need of a new car seat today and due to circumstances I needed it right away and I couldn’t be happier that I decided to shop at Baby’s & Kids 1st. The two men who helped my wife and I figure out which car seat was best for our child were so helpful and informative that it made what had been a confusing process in the past very simple and comforting knowing they knew the ins and outs of all their products. Also, when they sensed our urgency they looked threw inventory at other stores and ultimately found a model we wanted in the back of their stock room. On top of all that, they stayed helping us past closing time and offered to install the car seat for us. Customer service and staff training are top of the line here. Would recommend to all parents.

What makes Baby’s & Kids 1st stand out is that their staff is EXTRAORDINARILY knowledgeable. Mari & Jaime are the Stephen Hawkings of the car seat universe.After visiting baby stores throughout Houston, this is our favorite. Big box retailers’ staff lack any expertise of what they sell. An example, we bought our crib from Pottery Barn Kids, & when it came to our mattress, we just got a standard mattress. When walking around Baby’s & Kids 1st, a helpful employee gave us a 5-minute lecture on which we should have chosen and why. Would have been great to have at Pottery Barn Kids.The car seat might as well as been an alien object to me, but Jaime was an excellent teacher who showed my wife & I the ends & outs and frankly made me less nervous. Plus, with the free seat install, etc. literally saved us hours of trial & error.If you must go baby shopping, this is the place.

The store is fairly big and we were looking at baby strollers and car seats. Stefan (hopefully I spelled the name correctly) was a great help and gave us all his honest opinions and the facts about baby safety and the features to the strollers or car seats that may fit our needs and lifestyle. The staff is super nice and incredibly informative.... they can boil down hours of research into a short, decisive conversation.We bought our first stroller system from them, and i called back when it was time to buy a jogging stroller. Although they were unable to match a special discount offered by BuyBuyBaby (and explained why), the store still spent time explaining the options with me in the phone (after hours, calling me back the same day). I am honestly still tempted to buy from them (even at a higher price) out of appreciation (and because I know how TERRIBLE and faceless the customer service is at BBB).Thanks Baby and Kids First!

This store chain is uniquely positioned in the array of baby catering online and brick and mortar stores. We are waiting for our first son whos existence is a miracle in itself. We wanted the best experience getting educated on the baby gear and purchasing whats needed and of a good quality and looking back I cant imagine any other store and any other crew who could have provided equal customer service. The woodlands location whos staff migrated to Galleria is top notch, knowledgeable, professional, wouldnt sell what customer doesnt need, patient, and extremely professional. I have THE BEST memories buying a rocker, car seat, a travel stroller system, toys and some amazing decor which we were lucky to get from the closing Woodlands location. The general manager of the chain is extremely professional as well- love love love this store! Thank you for such a great experience!

Without a doubt, this is the place to shop for Baby items! As with many guys having their first child, there are a lot of things to buy. My wife and I went to a big box store-you know the one, it has 3 Bs in the name-it was overwhelming and there was no support for my wife and I. Then we went to Babys 1st. Sarah was amazing and extremely helpful in helping us pick our items. In addition, they offer classes to help guide parents along the process. We highly recommend Babys 1st.

The staff was very friendly and worked with me on getting the best deal available. I had an issue with some minor cosmetic damage caused by shipping (not their fault), and they went above and beyond to fix it and made sure everything was right. Highly Recommend this store!

Walked in to see strollers about 4 staff members were hanging at cash register talking amongst them all while customers were in store with no help. I feel like employees were really lazy when I went and asked if someone could help me a girl replied with“ What did you need help with?” Instead of saying yes of course let me help you find what you need. I am absolutely in love with Babys 1st Furniture! They bent over backwards to try and help me find what I needed! I highly recommend them. Their customer service is outstanding! Its true you may pay a little more, but you will be helping out a local business and you will get great service! Totally worth it in my book! They have a customer for life in me!

I called and asked if they could assist in installing one of the $300 car seats I bought from them. They said yes. I then drove 45 minutes to their business. Upon arrival I was told they cannot assist me today I would have to come back another day. I explained my long drive, the phone call I made, and my loyalty to them as a customer. the car seat technician literally said, Nope not today.

Very bad experience especially with the customer service and the warehouse. They are very knowledgeable in the store for sure, but we were then made to wait 8 months (!! after being told it would be here for our little girls arrival) for our very expensive furniture (albeit it beautiful) and no mention of an apology. In fact we were spoken to like it was our fault! Thankfully we had somewhere else for our newborn to sleep.Can clearly find furnnite equally as nice from somewhere that doesnt have the employee attitude.

Everybody there was absolutely wonderful to work with. You cant beat the quality of furniture. Their delivery driver was not very easy to work with and we ended up picking up everything ourselves but the staff made that super easy for us as well. The delivery service is subcontracted out so this really isnt a reflection of the company itself.

They will bend over backwards for all your needs! Great customer service! They offer car seat installation/ class with purchase by appointment. They also offer baby 101 and cpr classes! Everyone is always so knowledgeable on their products. They treat you like youre family..very honest and upfront with you. Couldnt ask for a better experience! We were recently on the hunt for a double stroller to accommodate our 2 1/2 year old and newborn. After doing some research online we decided to stop in and see what they had to offer. We we met with Stefan and were blown away with his knowledge of the different products and his true honest opinion about each stroller. After testing all the strollers that were available in store, Stefan could tell that we werent 100% sold and he told us about a then up and coming stroller that had not been released but their buyer had demod and they were super excited to soon have. This stroller ended up being the one we purchased and had it not been for Stefan and his honest option, great knowledge, and patience we never would have know about it. So thanks again Stefan for introducing us to our Austlen Entourage stroller, which we LOVE!

Do not go to here if you want an on time delivery or good customer service. My recliner was more than 2 months late, had zero communication (I had to initiate ever call), and they did nothing to help compensate or re-mediate the issue.

All set and done - 2 stars just because I got off the phone with them and it seems that my furniture has arrived.We are not very happy with the way the Order was handled.We are not very happy that they dont deliver.She now realized that she was just overly concerned about getting the furniture and the nursery set up but all said and done - we wont have enough time to paint even if I pick up everything in 1 trip on Saturday.Everything came in 2 weeks later than what we were told. Fine. At the end of the day for piece of mind, we realized we should have just purchased online.The set we purchased (Dolce Baby – Lucca) is offered with free shipping from a couple of places at the same suggested retail price the one I called last week in San Antonio guaranteed delivery within 7 to 14 days via UPS. They stated they also provide a tracking number so in case of any issues, you can follow and plan accordingly. Free shipping curb delivery outbeats driving to Stafford or paying extra to deliver.I did not see any added value Babys 1st can bring other than taking a look at the furniture in the store and therefore, my 2 star rating - based on my experience.

We bought a leather rocking chair from here about 7+ years ago. Although more expensive, it is still in very good condition at this point and we have changed the furniture around it more than once in this time period.

Great customer service but inferior products. Purchased our first childs bedroom set (Menure) and it was damaged when delivered and quality was not near what was expected for the price. Babys 1st did have it fixed quickly but after 3 years of average use the finish has worn off and the set looks shoddy.Despite this we purchased our second childs bedroom set (another brand) and again have quality issues. The legs on the dresser simply fall off and the drawers on another piece are broken. These issues were discovered upon delivery and Babys 1st has commited to rectify. That said, considering the premium cost, long delivery times, and poor quality of the products sold I would reccomend looking somehwere else.
