Our alternator went out and we just moved into town. We didn’t know anyone but once we called J&E, they offered their services as quickly as possible. It didn’t take too long to fix the issue. He also made recommendations for our check engine light, which is on. I appreciate the cost of the repair, professionalism, and time management.

After seeing so many positive reviews I thought I could trust this place but I went yesterday and got charged 130$ and the problem still wasn’t fixed. Check engine light came back on today, 130$ wasted and didn’t even tell me how much was the part or labor. Don’t waste your time or hard earned money

J&E express auto where can I start I was Recommended by advance auto part on Illinois I needed a quote to see how much would it be to change struts for my camaro ones I got there I came through the door with my car. He stopped everything was he was doing to check on my vehicle. I didn’t have to wait like other places. That’s something is very important TIME.Check him out you would not regret it trust me !!!!!

I was recommended to this shop for a wheel alignment on my 2012 Chevy Traverse. I called and was told to bring it in. The person, I believe his name is Jerry, was very helpful on the phone. When I took the vehicle in, he told me what was wrong with the front end suspension. He quoted me a very reasonable price for parts and labor. I was very happy with the work he did. Had this been done at the dealership or any other mechanic shop, I would have paid a fortune. I highly recommend this shop even though it’s in a rough part of town. It didn’t bother me to go there because I actually grew up in that area. Thanks for fixing my car. I will definitely come back for any other front end and brake issues on my car....

I don’t normally write reviews. But I’m going to say that if you have a newer model truck ........... (in my case a 2019 F-250) I wouldn’t recommend this place for suspension work or an alignment. I recently lifted my truck and put 35” wheels on it, and needed two front aftermarket caster bushings/shims Installed, and an alignment done. This place definitely did not come through on this for me.-They were only able to install one of the caster bushings/shims but not the second one on the driver side. If you know anything about these trucks, you would know that you CAN NOT only install ONE caster bushing/shim. BOTH sides MUST be installed.-the alignment was not done correctly. When I got my truck back, it was pulling to the left.After having my truck from 10 a.m. in the morning till 7:30 p.m. in the evening, that was the finished product.Jerry simply informed me that I needed to take my truck to the dealer to have this work done.

I recently had my cars oil changed by the dealership and was told that I also needed over $2000 in repairs. I drive Uber for a living and I need my car in tip top shape at all times but couldn’t afford the repairs the dealership recommended since I’m also a single mom. After the oils change my check engine light came on and I went back to them but they said they would charge me $140 just to check it and only would refund me if they found that they were at fault for the problem. I couldn’t afford the price at the time and happened to be driving by J&E Automotive after a delivery and there was a sign that said they do free checks. I spoke with Jerry who was very informative and saved me lots of money by taking a look at my car and explaining that the parts the dealership said I needed to replace were actually in good condition. I was supposed to go on a road trip and he explained what could technically wait and what he recommended since I was trying to save as much money as possible. He walked me under my car to show me the parts that were still good and advised what parts actually needed replacing. He fixed one part, was very quick and his prices were great! I plan to get the other parts fixed as soon as possible. I referred my sister to him and will be referring any other friend that needs a mechanic to him.

I highly recommend J&E auto repair shop! I needed my heater hoses and drive belt replaced and was recommended by a friend to Jerry. He provided same day service and very reasonable price for the repair. I will continue to go with him whenever my car has any problems.

Jerry knows what he’s doing, he got my trucks alignment done & installed camber caster sleeves. A lot of other shops wouldn’t want to to even work on my truck because of my wheel and lift combo. Dropped it off in the morning and it was done by 2pm, will be recommending this shop to everyone I know!

General mechanics. This man works on every vehicle that comes in his shop. He recently had to replace a motor on a new model fairly new model Kia Sorento John and three or four days I dont remember. For my son of course. Provides an estimate gives you a time frame and gets the work done. Another Hidden Gem of Oak Cliff.

Jerry does amazing work, and for a good price. Brought it in the first time to have my A/C system replaced, and he had it blowing cold again in no time, and it was cheaper than the other shops I had got a quote from. When I left, he showed me signs of my struts going bad. Months pass, and sure enough, my car starts feeling like I’m riding in a death trap. Brought it back, and Jerry had my car running like new again in no time. He knows his stuff, is friendly, and is honest. This is my go to shop for all work needed on my car.

I went there Monday after work to get a used tire, the guy tells me there is only one tire that is my size for my car, turns out it was to small a tire and when I took it back to address this the young guy lied and said that he told me it was smaller and he charged me 35 for it. Why would a person want a smaller tire for a hire price. Had he been truthful with me in the first place I would have waited. The supervisor told me he cant give me my money back and I have to wait till next week to have it replaced with the correct size. Ive already had to go elsewhere to replace it. If you are a woman dont go there . the young guy apparently can not read the correct size. I dont drive a fancy sports car, Im just trying to keep going to work and get tired of rip offs.

My ac stopped working on my car and I had took it to 2 different shops before this one and they were charging me 850 to fix it out of top of their head, took it to j&e and the mechanic actually was trying to look for the problem, note that he was already closing the shop, we found the problem and one of the fuse was burnt out, to sum up the story, the mechanic is legit and the shop is legit I highly recommend this place
