Just moved to Texas and needed a state inspection. I had to wait in line to be seen but once they got my car in the garage it was quick. They were so cordial and competent that I came back a few days later to get help affixing my new license plates.
I want to thank this team from the bottom of my heart.Today, I pulled into their parking lot, Blue Avalanche 2500 8.1 Vortec.Coming from North Richland Hills, got off Greenville, truck blew a coolant line going to the heater core. Sweet Red antifreeze, burning off the block, sprayed all the antifreeze out. Ugggh. first I tried the clowns across the street. They told me I was leaking gas, and they couldn’t help.Figured I’d be better off taking my chances elsewhere. Drove across Greenville Ave to Kwik Kar. Two gentlemen immediately came out, said “pop the hood”, seen the blown line, assured me it was an easy fix, cut, clamped the line, filled the reservoir, and had me back on my way. In minutes.That’s the type of customer service, that makes it worth driving from NRH to Dallas, anytime I ever need a repair.Thank you Kwik Kar, You have an outstanding team, I think before someone gets a job at a service station, they should have to train with your guys for a few weeks. I went to get my state inspection, and they finally found the source of the clunking noise I had just bought new struts to fix. I took it back to the mechanic and told him what Kwik Kar had said. He tightened the sway bar for free and finally no more clunking noise! I can even turn down the radio now. I also got a coolant flush for a fair price. It’s an old car but running much better now. I will be back.
Chris and his team have definitely proved to me that they stand behind their work and they strive to make their customers happy. They handled a potential problem extremely well. They actually came to the location where I had car problems and assured me they would fix the problem. And they did. Thanks Chris and team!

I needed to get my oil changed and this place was close by. Walking in, one of the first things that I noticed was that there were no listed prices anywhere (which i hate since i feel like this is a way to take advantage of people who need to get their car fixed asap). I figured it was gonna take a while so I gave them my keys and went to the waiting area. I was surprised by how quick the whole thing was. I paid my bill (higher than I was hoping for) and drove home. When I got home, I noticed that the receipt showed they did a lot of extra little things for me (liquids and stuff like that). I checked on my wiper fluid and it was close to empty. Another one was that they didnt vacuum cause I stayed in the car (which is not true). Its not that I needed my fluids topped off or my car vacuumed, but the fact they had them on the receipt just didnt feel right. The guys were nice enough but I will not be going back.
Grossly overpriced. Charged $100.16 for an oil change and that includes a managers discount. Asked why so much and told that is the price of oil today. I called another oil change location and same service is $59.

Went for my first state inspection for my car, new to Texas. Went to this site and was greeted immediately and told the time if 5 minutes to complete. Other staff inside the waiting area was warm, friendly, and engaging. The waiting area was clean and inviting with wifi and large screen TV. They lived up to the time frame and customer service was outstanding. They will be my go to for inspections.
Workers at this place are sloppy and unprofessional. Had a terrible experience of oil change.When I just arrived, a worker checked the brake pads and told me that pads need to be replaced because it has been worn out. Ironically, it was at the same place where another worker told me that the pads are 80% remaining about 1 month ago. Apparently, this worker is dishonest.The day after the oil change, I found oil leaks on the ground near the front right wheel. Something must be going wrong! Therefore, I drove the car to this place and they told me that they FORGOT to tighten something up after the oil change!Sloppy workers, dishonest place. Never go there!

I was hesitant to come to this location because of some of the reviews that I’ve read, but I just needed simple maintenance work done on my car so I decided to just come here anyways. BIG MISTAKE. I specifically asked for an oil change, brake flush, windshield wiper fluid, Anti-freeze, and that my tire pressure be checked because I knew one of my tires was low on air.The employees were EXTREMELY rude and condescending, they tried selling me other work that needed to be done on my car, and I ultimately ended up paying $236 for the maintenance work I THOUGHT MY CAR WAS GETTING.As I leave the location to get to work, I immediately get the “LOW TIRE PRESSURE” notification, followed by the “LOW WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID” notification. I have my own windshield wiper fluid so after work I decide just to add it myself, when I pop the hood I check my coolant (just to be sure)and it’s EMPTY. I check the receipt I was given and it listed that they added Anti-freeze, Windshield wiper fluid, that my tire pressure was good. I specifically asked for these services to be done, it’s listed as done on the receipt, but here I am $236 short and none of the simple maintenance work I asked and payed for done. Was I scammed into paying $200 for a regular oil change? I’m so disappointed.

I purchased a Groupon a while back and when I went to get my oil changed, I learned that they stopped accepting Groupon. But I learned of this after they already started the process. Well the problem was I only had enough money on me to cover the filter because I thought they still accepted Groupon.Not knowing what to do at this point, the auto technician very kindly allowed me to come back the next day to pay.The staff here has ALWAYS been nothing but courteous, gracious, knowledgeable, honest, and KWIK!!In a city where you can get your oil changed at basically any intersection, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU CHOOSE THIS KWIK KAR FOR ALL YOUR AUTOMOTIVE NEEDS!A Happy Customer!Jeremy
Never going back here. I bought a Groupon for an oil change specifically for this location and they told me they couldnt take it, after I got my oil changed so I had to pay the $80 on top of the $40 I already paid on Groupon. I also was there to see what was making my car squeak, they said it was my belt. When I asked how much it would be and how long it would take he came back telling me it would be $474 to replace the belt and it would be about an hour to fix. Thankfully I had my daughter with me and I couldnt get it fixed right then because when I got home and looked at the cost of the part which was not even $30. So that would have meant i was getting charged over $400 for labor and fees?? Thats insane. I got my car fixed for not even half of that somewhere else. I could find nowhere else that charged that much.
I pulled up to this store and noticed that there were no cars in line. As soon as I drove up a gentlemen came right out to greet me. He asked how he could help and I asked for an oil change. He said sure I will take over from here. Very polite and generous. After sitting inside for a bit another gentlemen came in to inform me that my air filter was dirty. He advised I get it changed and i said sure since i was there. He was also very polite and generous. I sat for a bit and he informed me that the air filter was coming from somewhere else. These two gentlemen Chris and Miguel were very nice, helpful, polite and informative. I will be back to this store for service. Chris also informed me about my brake fluid and I let him know I would come another time for that. These gentlemen should be praised for great customer service on this cold rainy day. When you go to Kwik Kar ask for Chris or Miguel....great job gentlemen! This store has great service and a good definition of Kwik Kar!
Needed a Texas state safety inspection . Reasonable waiting time . In and out no drama . Check them out, might work for you as well . New owners, so I was told.
Really disappointed in the corporation of Kwik Kar. They have had a Groupon up that the new owners now refuse to take. Such an inconvenience that I drove all the way to this location just for them to turn me away. So misleading and they should not stop accepting groupons when their services are still on Groupon. Now i have to go through the hassle of contacting Groupon to refund me. Do better kwik kar.
1-star only because 0 wasn’t an option. Informed they didn’t have my filter - come back this day - twice. Third time told I should go buy my own and come back. Dumb as a sack of hammers is an insult to a sack of hammers.
We are frequent clients of this location. We have gone several times this year to repair our cars. Today we went to check the light check, they charged us 120 dollars, they didn’t give us any paper or explanation and told us to Google it. After paying 120 dollars for a diagnosis I have to search it online… not fair at all.
Bought a full synthetic oil change Groupon. Suddenly my car needs 6 quarts of oil rather than the 5 everyone has been putting in for the past 11 years. I’ve run into this several times with different cars when using a Groupon. From now on I’ll give them the Groupon at check out or tell them to only put in 5.

I have had good experiences here in the past. Gotten an oil change no problem. I just went to get my car inspected and the guy tried to convince me my windshield wipers didn’t work. I don’t know how he thought he was going to convince me. He ran the windshield wiper fluid and the wipers cleaned it perfectly. I drove away with a perfectly clean streak free window to get my car inspected somewhere else.

Jason went above and beyond when on a Sunday late afternoon our cars transmission got killed by road-debris. He was still at the shop when we arrived with the tow-truck and he helped navigate the process. Unfortunately I had agreed to our insurance company taking the car to one of their own shops. STAY AWAY...CAN NOT EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH.CAME FOR A SIMPLE OIL CHANGE AND NEXT THING I AM TOLD IS THAT IF THEY TRY AND CHANGE THE OIL, IT WILL CRACK THE OIL PAN GASKET. ALL OF A SUDDEN I NEED A NEW OIL PAN GASKET AND SILICONE TO SEAL IT AND THE COST WILL BE $530.00 WITH LABOR AND OIL CHANGE...LICKILY I WENT TO TAKE 5 ACROSS THE STREET. EVERYTHING I WAS TOLD AT KWIK KAR WAS INFACT A LIE...LITERALLY HAD THE OIL CHANGED IN 15 MINUTES AND THEY FOUND NONE OF THE PROBLEMS THAT I WAS TOLD EXISTED WITH MY CAR.ABSOLUTE LIARS THAT ATTEMPT TO CHEAT PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY.
They lie to get more money out you. Especially woman. I wouldn’t recommend it all.
THE WORST AUTO SHOP IVE EVER BEEN TO. These guys are the most unreliable group I’ve ever done business with. Currently questioning why they are even considered a proper business considering the way they treat their customers. Every time you go in for something you have to wait until the next day or some other bogus excuse because their “inspection guy” or “mechanic” isn’t in the shop today. Like how are you guys even open if those people aren’t in. Don’t even bother going here. There’s a great auto shop right across the street and they’ll be happy to take care of you.
-000 starts deserved poor customer service by manager Chris....I had bought a Groupon for a regular oil change,I sent my son to get it done after making the appointment for today, come to find out Chris the manager said the cat needed synthetic oil instead of reg oil not even knowing if the oil the car currently had was synthetic or not because he said the car did not have the sticker to specify that he said it takes synthetic so he said so I told my son ok well just do the synthetic of that is what he is advising let me change the Groupon from reg to synthetic then he proceeds to tell my son he cant honored the new Groupon because we didnt have an appointment, when I got on the phone with him I explained all im doing is changing the Groupon from reg oil to synthetic since that is a suggestion you had. He said yeah but you have not made an appointment for synthetic then I said well its the same appointment just difference is Im switching the reg to synthetic, he proceeded to say we cant take without an appointment, then I asked ok dont do the oil change will take our business elsewhere, he said on then a second later he says the oil has been changed already I asked him to honor the Groupon he said NO NO NO because you didnt have an appointment but them did an oil change anyway....told him his customer service was very poor he said OK
New in this area, found a Groupon, so came to this location for oil change. Do not want to come back. First, after service, my car was dirty with oil. Second, the charge was incorrect. Third, the paper said my coolant is full, but reality it is low. Fourth, I see that it is shining around the engine, hopefully they did it correctly with no leaking oil because I did not have any leaking before at all. Lastly, customer service was unprofessional because the guy made me feel like he did a favor for me but I paid and I expect general and mutal respect. So overall, my experience was filled with disappointment.
I brought my Honda Hybrid in for a transmission replacement and I was not disappointed. Chris and Jason went above and beyond to provide high quality service. Overall, some solid guys maintaining at this shop. I would recommend this place to anybody!
My mechanic Chris has great customer service. I’ve been working with him for a couple of years now, since he transferred from his last location. If you’re looking for great deals and welcoming energy ask for Chris! He’ll get you where you need to go.
I had a great experience at Kwik Kar. I had ran over a trash bag on the highway and it messed up my wheel and a couple parts under the car. Miguel was very helpful explaining what had happened and had it fixed in no time! Will be going back for any issues I have in the future.
They charge me $120 for doing nothing. We waited more than hours and have to pay paid instead. They came out with $950 intimate just for the pump. It is what it is, if like to pay more is up to you, if you want less and fix everything for your car there are more other small workshops looking for work and will do the great job with hell of experience.
Called in for an appointment, when I showed up and noticed I was using a Groupon they denied me.
Lied about needing brakes flushed to pass inspection. I told them they already flushed the brakes 3 months ago but they again lied and said it was not. I paid $80 for the brake flush to pass the inspection. After I got home I pulled up my receipt from 3 months ago and sure enough i did have the brakes flushed. I haven’t driven much at all so definitely no need to flush the brakes. Stay away from this rip off of a place. I’ll never go back to this location because it’s full of crooks.

Chris and his team were beyond amazing when helping me with my car repair. I am visiting from out of town when my check engine came on so I was told by carmax to come here. He dealt with the insurance claims company even after they were rude to him and myself. He is well informed and completely professional. The facility was spotless which was also assuring. If I lived in Dallas I would only come here since Chris went above and beyond with his service.
Ripoff location !!!! I cant give less than one star which what I would have given. I feel bad for the customers that utilize the shop that dont know any better.Both Mitchell and All Data Labor Guides state the Flag/labor hours for installation of: Rear shoes, Drums, Wheel Cylinders and bleeding of the rear brakes is - 2.4 flag hours for a 2000 Dodge Caravan V6 3.0L.However the manager asks one of his mechanics and he tells me its - 4 Flag Hours !!!NOT.I was in the automotive industry for 30 years. Im also a ASE - Certified Technician through 2020. However due to health issues I cannot do the job myself but, Ill be damned if Im gonna pay somebody 4 hours for 2 hour job.

Used over years for services and annually for inspections. Busy place. May have to return or drop auto.Update: Wife went in for oil change. Front guy doing paper work and ignored her.She asked again and got a rude unnecessay reply.She was upset that after all these years of service they were rude and let a two car family customer go. Never been treated so rudely and it was not necessary.Went across the street was received with a cold bottle of water and cordialy.

I have been going here for 6 years. I went to get a headlight replaced, which I have done before. I was told the mechanic was not there and I couldnt get it done with no solution. Looking around I noticed unfamiliar faces and not dressed as uniformed as normal. i asked for the owner and told the business was sold. Sadly to say I will not be taking that long drive this shop. Miss you guys and looking for a new home for my 3 cars.

Had a groupon, the dude overcharged me anyways. Was talked to very RUDELY and looked at like they were mean mugging me and starring at me making me feel unsafe.The man just said “inside now.” To get us to pay like whats up his A**?He was also smoking in the shop.Dont go here just to “save money.”Go somewhere that wants your service.

I’m writing this review before services have been rendered because multiple mechanics and employees are not properly wearing masks indoors. Given the current pandemic, I’m disappointed that this Kwik Kar location wasn’t taking the proper steps to keep customers safe today.

I went to this site to get an oil change. They took about 15 minutes to get my information so I could get the oil change done. I could hear 2-3 people in the back office chatting and laughing, but no customer service.Will never purchase of go to this site again.
Very nice guys. We bought windshield wipers at Walmart but we couldnt get the old ones off. We asked the two men outside for help with the blades. They took care of us & switched out the blades from Walmart with working ones they had in stock because the Walmart ones wouldnt work. Great customer service! Would highly recommend.
I was expecting to be wait 1-2 hours for an oik change and inspection but was in and out in 35 minutes very in professional quick and curtious.
Chris repaired my car and completed the services I needed. He kept me up to date on the repair and was very kind and listened to me when I explained the repair I needed. I spoke to a few other people at other shops about the repair I needed and Chris is THE ONLY person who immediately knew what the problem was. The other shops had the same response after I explained everything to them “we have to look at it to see what we’re dealing with”. THANKS CHRIS!!

I came in wanting a conventional oil change and didnt understand they only carried synthetic until they were already under the hood and washing my windshields. Despite this misunderstanding on my part, they went above and beyond to give great customer service and would highly recommend!
Went here today for a car inspection. I called in first to see if there was a wait or not and I was told that there was one car waiting to get an inspection done and by the time I got there they should be in the middle of it or be completed. I showed up, handed my keys and proof of insurance over, it took less than an hour. My experience here was great. I dont remember the guys name but he recommended a tax office to me as that was where I was headed next for the first time. It was a painless experience with them and I was dreading all week to get my inspection and registration completed. I will definitely be coming back here for any maintenance service for my car just because the service was great.

Stripped the oil drain plug on my vehicle.Response to owner:Oil drain plugs dont magically wear out. Threads dont magically wear out. Dont try to explain simple garbage to me like Im a 5 year old. That may work on some of your customers, but not everyone. The only time theyre affected is when someone carelessly over-torques them post oil change. You were the last place to change my oil before this was discovered. Instead of accepting that your business could have been at fault you immediately deny it. Luckily, only the head to the plug itself was stripped to hell and the threads were fine or I probably would have been replacing my entire engine or at least the pan rather than a $6 plug. Thank you for not notifying the customer of your screw up immediately afterward and instead sending me on my way with a potential leak. Enjoy the 1/5 stars. Its not changing.
I received excellent service today when I took my car in for the state inspection. After calling a few places, Kwik Kar was the first to actually answer my phone call. Brian was courteous and friendly. He provided helpful answers to my questions. I was immediately greeted upon arrival and my car was taken in within a few minutes. The state inspection was completed promptly. Check out was quick and easy, also by Brian. He shared valuable information to me that I didnt know regarding options for the registration of my vehicle. Awesome.....Im sure I saved hours by not driving to and standing in long lines at a Dallas County Tax Office. Overall great experience. Ill definitely go back.

Bought the car to do a state inspection.They Asked me to replace wiper blades which we own it only 3 months(totally brand new), so we decide to go to somewhere else. Unbelievable, the other shop didn’t ask anythings about wiper blade.My car is 2011, so it’s really new and well maintained.Never come back again.P.s. if you go inside the shop. You will see a lot of brand new wiper blade hanged around you inside the waiting room.

I initially dropped my car off to get a part installed that enabled the air to flow through my vents properly. I also wanted to have the service engine light inspected and fixed. I also wanted an inspection. I’m giving this two stars because the air situation has been fixed.The Service Engine light has come back on and when I picked up the car they hadn’t done an inspection. The whole reason I wanted to get the engine light fixed was because I need an inspection. The mechanics told me that before they do an inspection I had to drive my car 40-50 miles and come back. Well I definitely won’t be coming back. I dropped $1700 today for them just to make air come through my vents. I dropped it off on a Tuesday early in the morning and didn’t get it back till Friday. Another issue, they never called me once to update me or let me know what was going on. I had to call myself every day just to find out if I would be getting my car back. Initially they told me it would take a day. I’m so dumb, I should have just taken it to the Ford dealership. Never again. Side note: I’m leaving this review for the consumer, not for management. I’ve noticed the replies from whoever owns this place are pretty aggressive and defensive so I’m not expecting anything out of this. At least my air works. But that’s it, $1700 that’s it.Crazy

Ive been in here a couple times for state inspections, and just this morning for an oil change. I usually do all my own auto maintenance, but one of my cars is so low to the ground that I cant get my floor jack under it, so I figured Id give these guys a shot and save myself a bunch of time using multiple different jacks and jack stands getting my car to where I could work on it.Again, Im pretty particular with my cars, so I provided my own oil and oil filter, and drain plug crush washer. They used the supplies I provided, and let me observe as they worked, explaining what they were doing as they did it. No new information for me, but if youre someone who doesnt normally work on cars, this could be a very informative practice. Everyone was very friendly, and I chatted with several of the mechanics as they worked. I was very impressed with how efficiently everything was done. The employees all seem to work as a team, and as a result, I was in and out in about 15 minutes. The owner was on-site today, and I have seen him there several times in the past as well. He clearly takes pride in his shop, and made it a point to engage with every customer who came into the shop area.All the work Ive had done here has been pretty simple stuff, and at this point I havent had them do any complicated repairs for me yet, but considering the level of professionalism and ownership involvement Ive seen so far I would likely give these guys a shot at any future repairs that might be beyond my abilities.
Wow I am floored! I know barely anything about cars and I went in today for an oil change because I have a long drive coming up. The rep explained to me that I did not need one as I still had 4k miles left from my last one. He showed me on the dip stick that my oil was still in good condition from the last time I was there. I really cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciated the honesty as I could have easily been taken for a ride! I have been here before and liked the staff but this interaction really solidified that this is a good trustworthy shop and I will be recommending it to any family and friends in need of car services.
