Wow!! I have to post about the amazing service from Tony and Sun and Ski off of N central! I had my Kona set up in the garage for about 6 or 7 years and I hated to see it just sit there. I took it down to Sun and Ski to get it serviced so I could start riding again and Tony called and explained what it needed and that he really appreciated an old school rig like mine and said he would get it back up and running as if it were his own. When I picked it up today I was blown away! It looks like a new bike. It looks like I never stopped riding it. I can’t thank him enough for bringing it back to life for me. Tony is a true chainring master like level 10,000!! The only way I can pay him back properly is to ride a gnarly switchback and try not to fall off ;) thank you Tony!!

Ive never experienced such a friendly bike shop atmosphere. Yeah, they specialize in other sports & attire but focus... Im on bikes. Dave was very helpful & pleasant. There were 3 gentlemen that helped me remove my Raleigh from my vehicle and put it back in once serviced. The ladies at check out were so kind and sincere. I appreciate their help and smiles as well. Props to Tony, the bike mechanic at the Dallas store. The guy is super good with customer skills and making the customer feel comfortable. Brought a recently purchased bike for an adjustment. Usually, other bike shops will make you leave the bike a few days, which is a total bummer, then come back at a later day. Called the store and Tony answered. I told him my issues and in a super enthusiasm tone, he told me come on in and Ill be waiting for you. During this visit I decided to advantage of the Performance Garantee program and upgraded, because I was within my first 30 days. Over all, Tony is super great guy doing a super great job. Well i got my 1500 dollar bike worked on there. They did a good job but they are TAKING THE TUBLESS SEALANT OUT OF MY TIRES! Yeah they also took a cap on my stem off FOR NO REASON. Why are they taking tubeless sealant out when I never asked to have my tires worked on? They did a good job on what I ask them to do but the sealant would magically disappear when i got my bike back. Both my tires have been losing pressure since I got back from the shop and every time I fill them back up they leak the air back out so that means there’s no sealant left and they were full of sealant when I took it there.Wow sun and ski I thought I could trust you

Well let me tell you I had the BEST customer service experience at the Dallas Sun & Ski!These guys are friendly easy to deal with and I can’t say enough about Jeff he is only there on Sunday, Jeff is awesome he spent so much time with me explaining different things I needed to look at and consider about cycling. I bought my bike back up there for Jeff to look at it, right off the bat he notice a few things that needed attention. Jeff and the other mechanics took care of the problem and top it off just went all functions to make sure everything was good to go. So my hats off to the Sun & Ski Dallas crew you guys rock. Sorry I didn’t get everyone name but everyone I came in contact with was nice had a smile and didn’t mind talking to you, you just don’t see that much any more! Purchased ski boots from Sun & Ski and highly recommend it. Conor was great and knew exactly how to fit my foot. Buying ski boots is not simple since every brand fits differently. They were patient and walked me through what I needed to look for in a boot. They also have a performance guarantee and you can return boots. Great staff and very knowledgeable.

Got a great Screamer hat, but like REI, XXL stuff is very sparse. If I have to go online I am more likely to shop Lands End or L. L. Bean.

Recently visited (1st time) to drop some cash on new bike shoes, pedals and cleats, but left after standing around for about 15 minutes without being acknowledged, not to mention no assistance. There were a few people walking around, but I couldnt tell if they were customers or staff. Oh well, live and learn. Too many other bike shops around to waste time here.

What kind of business closes for “inventory” in the middle of the week and middle of the day?I saw no less than 4 people like myself going out of their way to try and enter the building to buy things. They have staff in there looking out at us... but they just can’t muster the strength to help a few customers in such a slow time?People coming out today are dedicated to trying to do business in trying times. The idea that with all the issues going on lately that they would close for inventory is insulting.

I bought my skis from here and had a great experience! So, then I bought my ski boots from here and they fitted me wrong. The first time I skied with them, I had bruises all over my shins. So I went back asking for advice and they had me buy insoles. Then, I went skiing again and the boots made both of my toenails fall off. If youre wanting to buy something simple like a jacket or pants ... go for it! But if you are wanting to get fitted for something, I would recommend going elsewhere.

Best place to rent a bike! I came to TX to ride Mt Tam and the bike I rented was in great shape. Tom, the person in bike rentals, was extremely helpful and got me on the road quickly. Dont look any further if you need to rent a bike.

Got a great deal on HH ski pants! Staff was really nice and helpful. Hard to find a size at first. The sale rack had the markers for sizes but they werent organized, not even a little. Thats the only reason this is a 4 star rating. I would have been understood if it was a Kohls sales rack, but they only had two round ones and it was slightly stocked.

Tony and the game will get you taken care of. Cycling Supplies could be better.

Excellent customer service. This place is really an awesome place. I bought a Marin bike about three years ago from this store and the experience has been an excellent one ever since. They do an excellent job servicing my bike whenever I need service to it and have a multitude of items, really everything under the sun when it comes to sports. And last but not least, Chuck, the store manager, is terrific to deal with. He really values the customer and puts the customers interest and satisfaction before his own. This store is a great place to shop!

Took my son here to get fitted for ski boots and have skis tuned. They did a great job fitting the boots. They checked his foot inside several different shells without the lining and then again with the lining. They listened to where he said he felt uncomfortable pressure and then examined how his feet naturally positioned themselves as he sat and stood from a bench. With the proper sole inserts it corrected his foot inside the boot. All said and done my son says the boots feel amazing.Give yourself some time to get fitted properly and be patient as they can get busy. It is worth the wait... the staff is knowledgable and there to help.

I am a huge fan of Sun and Ski! Brian Smith helped me with his knowledge and experience with cycling. I recently purchased a mountain bike and its amazing! People who work at Sun and Ski are very knowledgeable and also participate in all kinds of sports. I recommend going to sun and ski sports!

Great customer service.Im sure Im just an average customer, but Im always treated like Im one of their highest spending most valuable customers. The management always makes sure that Im taking care of, to the point of staying late to process the sell of my new Marin Team CXR bike!No matter how much I destroy my bikes, the guys in the bike department are always there to get me back and riding. Though, they may laugh and give me a hard time during the process. If you ever get a chance to make it out for the Monday night ride at Harry Moss with the guys from Sun and Ski, its just another added benefit of shopping at such a great store.I also love my snowboarding equipment that Ive bought from there, though Ive only been able to take one trip since I bought it.Sun and Ski has a great selection from clothing, biking, snowboards, and more.Thanks everyone for everything! Took a few minutes to get someone to acknowledge me but once Graham did, he hooked it up with great service and useful information about getting fitted for a ski boot. They were only stocked with 1 boot that could fit my feet so I just went to their website to order. Prices were competitive.

I just came in for a pair of five-finger shoes today. The clerk I talked to was very knowledgeable about the product, having worn them for years herself. I wasnt in there for very long at all and said clerk and the other people working there were all very friendly. I got a pair thats perfect for me and the kind of trekking about that I enjoy and their selection of toe socks are so cute. Definitely coming back here when I wear these shoes out.

I decided to get back to just riding around the area casually in a bike. The crew outfitted me with a Raleigh basic sort of transportation bike. It was 399 and included a helmet, a water bottle and a personal effects holder. I had some extras as well and it was done on time. These guys not only did timely work, but they helped pick the right unit for a person of my build and height. I like this store a lot and will be back for more.

ICY reception, Poor customer service, I was lucky to receive a greeting. The manager seemed upset because I was bothering him by looking for a ski helmet, he was rearranging the store and pointed to the helmets in the rear of the store. I wanted to purchase snow skis from there markdown area however the young lady/salesperson on the ladder gave a icy response to questions. The only reason I gave them two stars because of the young kid that helped me with my purchase was great.

The guys in the cycling department are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Quick turnaround time on repairs/service and the pricing is great. Cant recommend them enough.

A great place for bike tune-ups and to get a snowboard waxed. The staff is super friendly! Usually you can find some great deals on winter sports items at the end of the season.

The girl that helped me could not have been nicer. Pointed me right to the over priced items and even went to the back when they didnt have my size.However, the 3 gentleman I have interacted with while purchasing and then returning my item could not be more inept. It has been awhile since I have had such bad customer service and a group of people who flat out did not care. Right up the road is a cheaper and more customer friendly ski shop that I would highly recommend.

Service is not bad whatsoever. However, when it comes to working for this company, dont even consider it. The management was to their admission on drugs, and it clearly showed as they consistently had bad memory, had no idea what was going on around the store and their employees, and gave little to no direction on what to do. Took many breaks and were always hungover. Absolutely no organization or leadership exists at this location bar a few. Its only held up by a few adept salesmen, otherwise the management of this store would have led to the demise of this location long ago.

I took my neighbor childs bicycle to SUN & SKI after it was stolen and trashed. The technicians there analyzed the deceased bicycle and worked up a fantastic deal to restore the bicycle at the best price possible for a single mother and a heart broken child. SUN & SKI did an awesome and noble thing for a child. I RATE them a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10. Above and Beyond the call of Duty. Thank You Sun & Ski on behalf of my neighbors !!!

Lets face it, cycling clothes and gear are very expensive. Sun & Ski never fails to have great deals on most of their items and often have discounts on bikes that are unmatched.

One of the worst experiences for cycling gear that I have ever had anywhere. None of the clerks knew where anything was and the technicians seemed completely confused by the Campagnolo questions I had. Like another review poster mentioned, they funneled me to the high end cycling jerseys, but could not respond to any of the specific questions I had regarding spokes, wheels, and skewers. Ill stick with the LBS/focused shops for my cycling needs. an Insanely terrible experience. I recommend sticking to the focused bike shops in the area.

I take my bike here for service the start of every spring, decent prices on a full tune up. Also they have good deals on new bikes during the off season so keep an eye out for those.

I recently pieced together my first mountain bike over eBay and had theses guys build it for me. when I took all the parts to Sun & Ski they helped me as if they were going to build it for there own owner. They did a lot for me and still do when I go there for any kind of help. I can say a lot about the customer service and the character of all the employees but im not going to go into it that deep. I had a horrible experience the manager is completely judge mental of the people that shop there Ive bought a lot of bicycles and brought a lot of people to sun and ski but Ive never been treated with that kind of disrespect from a manager? I was at the Baybrook mall location, I thought the first time that he was arrogant but it was excusable!but when I went in there yesterday it was horrible! There was nobody in the store the middle of the day and I has to test ride a bike and it did have petals on it and he acted like I was putting him out he didnt want to get the petals on there so we asked me if I had a drivers license and a credit card that he could hold while a tester of the bike been into all locations here in Houston never once have I ever been asked for a credit card to test ride a bike thanks!!! You lost business. I guess thats why there was only one person in the store so he can keep his arrogant attitude!!!
