I have dealt with the principals of Mariner sales for almost 50 years, absolutely true gentleman. They have seen the change and evolution in the recreational Maritime market over the years. Through research they have always tried to stay ahead, yet always been able to support older products such as Hobie Cats 14, 16 and 18. They are very knowledgeable always have things in stock and willing to order what they dont have. If youre going to spend your recreational dollars, spend it locally, Amazon will be just fine without your patronage. This store is steeped in the history of sailing in Dallas, sail making in Dallas, water sports in Dallas in the area good place to do business, I recently bought a kayak from them I live in Florida but I would much rather buy for my friends, Ive been very happy with it they gave me good recommendations on what you get and how to install it and I would never look back with any doubt for any of the information theyve given me. I’ve been looking for a Native Slayer Max 10 for months with no luck. I found one at Mariner-Sails and drove 4.5 hours to get it. I’m glad I did. The staff was friendly and accommodating and they made the trip worthwhile. Everyone was so nice. They even put a vinyl red flag on the kayak. Highly recommend this place.

Me and my husband decided to come to this store today to buy two kayaks and ready to spend money.But soon as we arrived we were greeted by a skinny lady with braids who tells me with an attitude, we had to wear a mask to get into the showroom, really??She tells me customers are very scared to see people without masks. I responded well they need to get over it.With a bigger attitude she responds, we have customers since 1975, ok so what are those customers doing here? Just hanging out? Drinking coffee? what has this to do with me. The state of Texas has lifted the mask mandate and they have no right to force me to wear one. At that point I knew I was not going to spend my money there. I was going to take my business to a place where I can get better customer service. Remember I AM THE CUSTOMER.

While there are supply chain issues across this industry, Mariner Sails sets themselves apart for how well they treat their customers. I drove up from Houston and would do so again without hesitation. It is a kayakers candy shop. Visit Ursula, she is the best!!

Great experience. Not only were they the only place in town with the boat in stock, but they had all the accessories and the best price (including online) as well. They physically put their hands on everything before I arrived so there were no surprises. They also walked me through the install of my rack so I could car-top my new boat home, and stayed a few minutes late to insure Id be ready to drive home. Couldnt ask for more!

Absolutely amazing customer service!!!! While 14hours away from home for a kayak fishing tournament my hobie a issue. After a couple of calls to my local dealer they put me in touch with Dave. I arrived the next morning to Dave and his team waiting on me with a cart for my kayak. 2 hours later they had my hobie back working as it should. These guys save my tournament and my trip. On top of that their store has everything you may need.

Been looking at getting a kayak for myself, wife and dog. There are so many options out there, and for someone who doesnt know much about them it can be overwhelming. Due to Covid their showroom is closed, but they go out of their way to help. If youre interested in a specific model, they will bring it outside for you to sit in, answer any and all questions you have and make sure its a good fit for you. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in the market!

Had the absolute best experience here about a week or so ago. Got in and was immediately greeted. Was overwhelmed by the kindness and helpfulness of the gentlemen assisting me and my young son. I needed some time to fully explore the store, as they seem to have absolutely everything you could possibly need for kayak outfitting. An absolute gem of an establishment. I explained what I was looking for, which both items they had in stock, one of the items they let me purchase was a display unit that was used by the store a few times, which I got an amazing discount on, and couldn’t have been any happier. A fantastic place that I will absolutely do business with again as I continue to outfit my kayak. They had kayak brands such as Hobie, Bonafide, Native, etc. Real nice top end watercrafts. Loved it! I love this place. The staff are just so knowledgeable and helpful. I spent a crazy amount of time trying on life jackets last year and the guys were just so patient as I rejected one jacket after another. They are also my favorite place to grab Christmas gifts for my sailor husband. I know if I get the wrong thing, he can always bring it back and get precisely what he wants. Great selection of gloves, spray tops, PFDs, and general sailing gear. Plus Im good the sail shop where they see the sails!!!!! So cool!!!!

I was very interested in buying a pedal drive kayak but just wanted to try a couple of different ones out. On there website it says it’s free to demo there kayaks and that it was on Wednesday and Saturday. Due to my work schedule I’m not able to make either of these days so I got in touch with them and was told it would cost me 95.00 just to try the kayak to see if it’s what I wanted but I would be credited the 95.00 if I bought the kayak. I’m not yet set on which kayak I want so it’s not certain I’d leave with one that exact day but my intentions are without a doubt to buy a pedal drive. I had heard a lot of good things about this place but my experience has not been good.

But, theres absolutely no comparison. The prices at Mariner Sales are also very competitive. You can not get there by trying to go up the access road on I-35, just FYI. Their selection after market kayak stuff is amazing, and the guys in there were extremely helpful and spent a lot of time with me to make sure that I was getting the right stuff. I was just starting to add on to my PA 14 and my wifes PA 12. Being in the shop with everything in stock and being able to set it on the same model kayak that I have, made me more confident that I was buying the right size stuff for what I wanted to do.

I visited this store a couple of weeks ago and I have to say I received some of the best customer service Ive ever experienced. The sale started out with one gentleman and I regret not getting his name, it then shifted to a salesman named Adrian, almost everyone in the store was extremely helpful...I left there with a Hobie Mirage Outback, a new Lowrance Hook3 Fishfinder and a huge smile on my face. They run a truly professional and knowledgeable store. I highly recommend you visit them if you are looking for anything kayak.

Mariner Sails is my favorite toy store. In an age where everything is increasingly bought online this is a place you can go and get real service from real people. They carry some of the very best makes and models of kayak. The staff is extremely knowledgeable because they actively sail and kayak.I bought a Hobie Pro Angler from them and couldnt be happier. We also have a Tandem Island and Revolution.They will meet you at Bachman lake for a test drive on weekends. I highly suggest going out on one of the Hobie Island sailing kayaks. They are unbelievably fun.

I live in Brevard County Florida and started using Mariner Sails to get a few parts for my Hobie.
