Donated my 20 yr old boat with 50 hp motor and trailer to this organization. This action completed several things for me:1. Freed up needed space in the garage2. Received a very generous tax write off-the boat was auctioned off3. Received that good feeling my wife and I were able to help a child in need.

I had an easy experience donating my vehicle. I selected Cars-For-Kids because it would give precious children another chance. My only complaint was having several calls by different folks wanting me to arrangemy car pickup. In the beginning of the process I let it be known it would be a couple if weeks before the car could be picked up & that I would contact them. Othet than that good experience.

Great customer service, someone was always available to answer my questions and made picking up the car a breeze for us. Really enjoyed my experience.

What a great place! They have a great car auction and I got on amazing deal on a Toyota 4Runner and I even let the sell mine for me under consignment- was so easy!

Most the time am in and out quickly dont see back bids, they dont play that game. Stick at Sold price when hammer drops. Inspections are fairly accurate. Ck their lists weekly.

My mom donated her vehicle to Texans Can - big fan of Norm Hitzges - so she was excited to make the donation. So, so easy. One phone call, took a pic of the title and they gave us instructions for a contact less pick up. Shes so excited to know someone will get a great car and shes helping the kids get an education since she was a teacher for 25+ years.

They never gave me the $50 giftcard ‼‼‼‼And to get the full value of my truck I was told I had to give up my social security number ‼I will not do this AGAIN ‼‼‼

From the moment I called till the moment the car was driven away from my home my experience with this company was exceptional. All my questions were answered thoroughly and customer service was top notch. They were very patient answering my questions and waiting on me to find the title in my sea of papers. Even during the pick the gentleman was kind enough to help me get my license plate off the car. Everything was done in a timely manner and I was able to get everything done in one day. I definitely made the right choice donating my car to this company. Awesome job. I HIGHLY recommend!

This is a worthy cause. No matter what the condition of a donated vehicle, they will get a good donation from the high bidder. I have donated two vehicles already to them over time. My brother-in-law taught in their high school and I know the good work they are doing to help young people turn their life around.

Take caution when bidding on cars and don’t overpay. I’ve bought 2 cars from here and they both had a lot more issues than expected. 1 was a 2001 Honda Civic 5speed, the only issue they mentioned was a SRS light on. It ended needing a battery, alternator, AC recharge, and getting the SRS light fixed. The other car I bought was a 1997 Acura CL 5speed, they stated nothing wrong. It ended up needing a battery, abs light fixed, AC Compressor, and then it just stopped starting after a week. Ended up needing a distributor, cap/rotor, and new spark plugs to get it back up and running.I’m not saying they don’t have some decent cars sometimes, but the very good ones usually have a minimum that they want and go very high like u can usually find similarly priced vehicles for sale online.

My daughter purchased her first car here at an extremely good price. Under $1500.00. The car was dent free and looked great on the inside. Other than getting an oil changed, recharging the A/C, and getting new windshield wipers; she really didnt have to do a lot for what she paid.

No one is going to donate their car to you guys people need their cars. everyone do not donate your car to cars for kids because they just give you a 50 dollar visa gift card when a car is over 1000 dollars

We were recommended to Texans Can Cars for Kids by Mike Bradley of Auto Revival Automotive service Center in Justin. The work that was needed for our 2003 Ford Taurus wouldnt increase the value of the car and we had planned on buying a new vehicle. Mike insured us of the organizations efficiency and high degree of integrity. That was certainly true. The vehicle was picked up at our home and within two weeks it had been sold at the organizations auction and we had received a 1098-c for our contribution. We had the peace of knowing that the work that was required was clearly disclosed at the time of sale and we expect that it will provide many more miles of service to its eventual new owners. Excellent service for an excellent cause.

Contacted Texans Can Cars for Kids and they were very helpful and eager to accommodate us in picking up the pickup at our convenience. The young man who came was courteous and everything was taken care of in minutes. Great experience. Followup on the telephone was also very pleasant experience. This is a great place to donate and purchase a car. Doing so lets you help the Texans Can Schools. Helping kids graduate is so helpful for our world. Auctions are held on Saturdays starting at 8a.

If you are looking for a decent used car this is a good place to start/look, must do your do diligence otherwise there are lots of places. Must draw your line in the sand here, easy to get caught up in the hipe of the auction. Good cause, anything to get kids back or in school.

Great public auction to buy cars. They post what is wrong with the vehicles as accurately as possible. There are a great many to choose from, and should you buy one they get you title and tag (for a fee of course). If you want to hear the cars run, I suggest you listen to them as they are in line to enter the main auction building. The staff are always helpful and very polite.

Recently donated my car to Texans Can after hearing about it on the radio. It was extremely easy to do and exceeded my expectations - after providing some detail about car and title they were able to pick up my vehicle the next day. They were prompt and arrived right when they said they would too. Vehicle went off and my tax deduction was delivered in the mail a week and a half later. Hassle free experience and car went to a good cause. A+

The turn around time was excellent. From the time I called to request the pick up, it took no more than 3 days to collect my car.It was to good to be true. They were also very courteous in answering my questions about the process. I will definitely donate again.

The vehicle was sitting at a repair shop. The first place I tried to donate to never called me back to arrange pick up. Great experience. Within a few minutes of submitting my information on their website, one of their representatives called me to arrange for pick up of my vehicle. All I had to do was clean out my car and hand them the title. They took care of everything else. The vehicle value that Im able to write off was higher than I expected. Couldnt have been easier!

I bought 3 cars from there one a 99 Nissan for 550 had it for 3 years it just stopped on me a 99 Toyota for 350 I been having it for a year and its still going strong and a 06 g6 for 750 Pontiac and it drives great.... About to get another one this weekend
