Dr. Swanson has been an excellent doctor for me for 5+ years. And given her caring empathetic manner, I encouraged my mother to see her as well, after my mom had had a stressful experience with another practice. With Dr. Swanson, my mother experienced not only relief from worry about seeing the eye doctor, but also improved vision given Dr. Swansons care for her specific needs.

Unfortunately Drs offices never seem to realize that, despite the professionalism and expertise of the practitioner, the office support staff can ruin the experience. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Swanson. But my recent experience with the billing department has left me with the decision to not continue to use this office.When I recently visited the office, I was charged for the total amount (including what would be covered by my insurance provider - note I had already met my annual out of pocket, so the entire cost of the Dr.s visit was covered by insurance; I should have only been responsible for the vision care - prescription and contact lenses - portion), and provided no receipt that detailed charges as their system was down. I subsequently received a receipt for only the vision care, that was much less than the amount I was actually charged. When I called back they said no, they had not sent me the receipt for the Drs part, which they followed up with, despite the fact that this was to be paid by insurance. Over a month later I finally received the notice of a refund due.Per their response - My insurance carrier did not verify I had met my out of pocket. I had visits with multiple providers in November - all of them were able to verify my coverage DURING MY VISIT. So if there was a problem, the problem lay with this office, NOT the insurance carrier.I note that prior to meeting my deductible, none of my providers through the entire year collected the full amount as if I had no insurance, but rather inquired as to my copay and whether I had met my deductible.We cannot produce an itemized medical receipt until we have posted all charged to the account. This is definitely where I should have refused to make payment until I received an itemized bill. Its the offices responsibility to produce that prior to demanding payment.Regarding the prompt refund, we have a different definition of promptness, obviously, since the overcharge happened on November 23, and the refund on Jan. 4, and required me to contact your office to follow up on the refund.

I️ had similar problems with the billing department as Michael Elliott. I️ was constantly told I️ would get a receipt and never did. I️ never received a call back from the billing manager to resolve my disputes. They failed to bill my insurance despite calls from the BCBS insurance rep! Likewise why go to a doctor with this kind of frustration on billing especially when he is allegedly an in-network provider?

I am not a fan of the eye doc but I LOVE coming here!I know this may be hard to believe but even though I live in Austin now, I love this practice so much that I come back to Dallas just to see them!Thats how wonderful I think they are.The office is very warm and friendly and you can tell that the docs really have your best interests at heart.I also love that they have the latest technology to make sure that your eyes are getting the best they can get.Highly recommend!

I am very satisfied with Fagadau & Hawk. I came to them because I followed Dr. Susan Swanson there several years ago. I cannot say enough about her wonderful care of my eyes and the eyes of a lot of my husbands family. She is a warm,caring doctor and is always willing to answer my concerns.I have had one cataract done by Dr. Hawk and will have the other done when I feel ready. The surgery went very well. In my opinion, these are excellent eye doctors, I highly recommend them.

Dr. Swanson is one of the best doctors hands down. Both she and her staff are what I call true AWESOMENESS! When I called last week to ask a follow up question, I was told her assistant would call me back that day. To my surprise Dr. Swanson returned the call. How many doctors do that when it was a simple question? I went in to get eye plugs today (was a little nervous), and they explained everything that would be done in detail, and it was pain free! Visiting this office is a very pleasant experience! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I have seen both doctors and think both of them are very good. Ive spent most of my time there with Steve Fitzpatrick. He is more than helpful and is not satisfied until you have the best and most comfortable contact lens - of course, perfect vision is also a requirement of his. I am very happy that my friend referred me to this office.

I had my first cataract surgery 5 days ago and am already seeing MUCH better than I expected--20/20 for intermediate/close up. Ive worn glasses for 48 years so this is absolutely amazing! I cant wait for the next surgery to remove the other cataract.Dr. Fagadau is an awesome doctor and his staff are all great! They were all very prompt to call me back when I had questions and Dr. Fagadau even called me twice after my surgery-- not something that happens very often these days!Its a long drive for me to get there but worth it--and like another reviewer said, Id give them more stars if I could!

This practice is very professional, you are seen quickly, the techs are very knowledgeable and are happy to answer any question(s) you may have. You are never rushed and again, get one-on-one attention. Dr. Fagadau is wonderful, and I highly recommend him, as I do Claire Shaw for contacts--she is awesome. Dr. Susan Swanson is the best eye doctor Ive EVER seen. Everyone I refer to her(approximately 10 people so far) loves her too. I have serious eye problems and she has been fantastic helping me manage my condition. She takes great care of all her patients. I cant recommend her highly enough or say enough good things about her. Simply put, shes the BEST!

This office is a well oiled machine. They dont waste your time and you hardly wait at all in any one spot. Dr. Mirza explained things well and asked good questions. I had a good visit and will be using them again in the future!

I drive over 50 miles to get to this location when in need of a vision checkup or new prescription. Years back, I had severe headache issues that seemed to be caused by vision correction (my contact lenses). Through a series of visits, Mr. Fitzpatrick was able to find the correct solution that helped my headaches go away. I am always impressed by the level of attention and true care that I receive every time I visit. Definitely worth taking a moment of my time out to say thank you.

Dr. Hawks glasses prescription for my difficult to correct eyesight has allowed me better than 20/20 vision. The cataract surgeries on both my eyes were a rousing success. I sought Dr. Hawks help recently with a worrisome cloudy vision problem. He reassured me that it was a common post-operative condition he could correct that day. He did. He also prescribed for my dry-eye condition. All this in a 2 hour office visit. The next day, my vision was back to normal.The technicians are professional, patient, and friendly. The office staff is efficient, courteous, and tactful.My husband, a hard to please engineer, will ask Dr. Hawk to remove his cataracts when the time comes. Our family respects and highly recommends this practice.

He did quick follow up procedures to remove a slight cloudiness which is common. I have excellent vision and could not be more happy with Dr. Hawk or with his staff. I have visited Dr. Fagadau and Hawks office for over 20 years driving 45 minutes to reach them. I drive that much because their services and care over the years has been outstanding. They provide excellent care and have an outstanding staff.

Dr. Swanson is truly the BEST ophthalmologist I have ever been to. In 2011, I went through 5 doctors before seeing Dr. Swanson who finally was able to diagnose and treat my dry eyes and other problems caused by the dry eyes. I have been back to her in 2014, and now again in 2016. Both visits were because I tried a new doctor closer to home and they did not fully understand the extent of my condition. I ended up with the same problems and back to Dr. Swanson to fix them. I will never change a contact lens or put any type of eye drop in my eye again without approval of Dr. Swanson! Because of my experiences, she is now treating my sister and mom for dry eyes as well! She has helped all of us tremendously!!Claire is also a huge help with finding a contact lens that is perfect for you!

Dr. Fagadau is kind, patient and smart. I would trust him to do anything with my eyes. He has a beautiful office centrally located and very clean. Be prepared for a wait, the whole procedure takes time. The wait is just the price of going to an excellent doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Swanson for over 10 years. At one time her office was a mere 15 minutes from my home. When she moved to the new practice, I followed despite the fact that it now takes me 50-60 minutes to get there. She is the best eye doctor that I have ever been to and now my daughter sees her as well. She is very professional and the staff is proficient and accommodating to patients needs.

Have been going to Dr Fagadau for 20+ years; for contacts for the 1st 13 years and Lasik since then. My mother went to Dr Hawk for about the same length of time. My partner goes. Out friends, many of them doctors go.They have a great practice - the staff is friendly and seem happy to work there, the medical care is exceptional, the doctors are kind and neither patronize nor hide behind a bunch of medical terminology.

Claire Shaw is amazing. She takes her time listening to your contact lens issues and is very thorough in trying to find the best fit. Most places just slap you with whatever brand they are hawking and push you to order a year supply on the spot. Claire provides 2-3 weeks of a sample and schedules a followup to make sure you are happy before you purchase. Ive had contact lens problems for years but not anymore. Highly recommend.

Dr Mirza was unprofessional and couldn’t explain things in a way that either myself or daughter could understand. After waiting almost two hours, she came in for 10 minutes, then told us that the new prescription she suggested might not work. She was rude and dismissive

Because of her expertise, I followed Dr Susan Swanson to this location which is a 45 minute access from my home. She is very thorough and detailed in her exam. Claire is extremely knowledgeable about contact lens and care. The entire staff is friendly, thoughtful and kind. The whole process from start to finish, including the procurement of my lenses is smooth and simple. Very refreshing in todays healthcare world!

I am a physician who has worn glasses for myopia for 30+ years. I have seen many fine physicians over those years. Dr. Fagadau has impressed me with his skill and clinical judgement. I trust my eyes to him. His office staff are well trained and organized. This too is a reflection of the physician who set up this practice. I am entirely confident that you will not find better care anywhere than this practice.

My appt. was at 9:45 and I was seen at 11:30. After asking about status of being seen, I am sure Dr. Swanson was not pleased with me, and it showed. The refraction done by an asst. was NOT VERIFIED by Dr. Swanson. Procedures were being done with NO EXPLANATION either during the procedure or after. No results of anything were discussed with me. Will never cross the door of the office again. No communication skills by Dr. Swanson and no pt. bedside manner exhibited. I do not understand all the platitudes given about this physician.

I go here once a year and highly recommend.

The results are marginal, i really do not see much better
