Barry is certainly professional in his approach to dance. To begin with, he explains dance in basic terms and builds on that as the lessons continue. I started taking dance (ballroom) lessons in my 40s as a way to motivate myself to stay active. Barry has encouraged the development of technique to make me a better dancer during those years. When it comes to teaching dance, Barry is straight-forward, equitable in the time allowed, and establishes a foundation during each lesson to build on during the next lesson. Barry helped us with our wedding dance and in just four sessions, we felt confident enough to dance on our big day. He is very knowledgeable and inspired a lot of confidence in us. I had no previous dance experience and my wife had a little but Barry made us feel like we could take on any type of dance with ease. Barry was class act and helped my bride and I put together a first dance for the ages! We were total beginners with an ambitious idea involving the combination of 2 songs, with 3 distinct dance styles. Given our choice of songs and our skill level, he helped us design choreography for every single second of our performance. He was full of ideas and plan Bs and Cs. He was also very encouraging, giving us the confidence necessary to execute our plan! I highly recommend Barry!

Barry is an outstanding dance instructor. He was very flexible with our busy schedules. My fiance and I were looking for dance lessons for our wedding reception. We picked the song and he showed us different styles of dance that would go along with the it. Once we decided on the dance Barry explained the basic terms and progressions. He was very patient with us and guided us though each progressions until we felt comfortable. When we finished our last lesson we were 100% confident with our dance. Barry taught us to dance for our wedding. He is very nice, professional, and knows the material incredibly well. He was able to notice small details and give explanations to achieve a high level of performance in a short amount of time. He was flexible with our extremely busy schedule. The whole experience was perfect and a great value. I would recommend and I would go back to learn more dancing styles.

Barry was amazing! Explained things very well & takes the time & energy to explain it in a way where anyone can understand. Dance involves technical words but he will make it all seem understandable. He doesnt watch the clock, making sure the lesson ends only when he feels the time has been well spent. Hes very kind & easy to work with. Always professional!

Barry is a great instructor and is just the guy youd want to take lessons from for a wedding dance!We found Barry via Groupon and had no idea what to expect given the one review on Yelp. He really surpassed our expectations and by our big day, we felt pretty good about our first dance.Throughout the past few weeks, he helped break down some of the dance moves for us in a way that any beginner could pick up. Barry really knows what hes talking about.(Btw, everyone was impressed with our first dance!)Hes also very responsive via text!
