This place used to be nice and classy.Now its kinda run down. Very sadBut the drinks are still good.I would recommend the owners would make it a little more upscale.

Im always a fan of bubble tea and smoothie places. Im not sure what makes Fat Straws unique besides great service and cute donuts but thats good enough for me.

Really neat, out of the way place in Dallas. They will upsell you the doughnuts. Red velvet tastes like cream cheese and goodness.

Whoever is at the front was great, took my order and my stuff was given to me as I paid. The chewy donuts I had were good, the strawberry ones surprised me with the taste - sour just like strawberries at first, then sweet. This place also has a laidback vibe.

LOVE Fat Straws! I experienced my first bubble tea here, 2 yrs ago. Awesome selection, fast and fresh! They have a rewards program, so thats really awesome. Seating available indoors and outside. Located in a shopping village, other nice restaurants and shops around in walking distance. If youre unsure of flavors, they offer small samples 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽. You have to try it out.

Thai tea was bitter. Not enough sweetened condensed milk. My girlfriend makes better Thai tea at home. $5.25 and we had to throw half of it away 👎. Coconut milk tea was good though.

Ambience matters. The energy was TERRIBLE. Dark as in I was looking around to see if there WERE overhead lights. Ill go back to the other location next time. My strawberry swirl was the BOMB THOUGH!!😀

They dont accept cash. That is really weird and kind of offensive. I guess this place is only for rich people?? And I guess that means the staff doesnt get tips which is also horrible. And it does totally smell bad.....must be the poor business practices.

One of my favorite boba tea places. Their Vietnamese coffee is my favorite with regular boba. Their donut rings are very tasty too!

I love fat straws but they put way too much of the bubbles. Ill order online and ill try to ask for only half a scoop of the toppings and theyll still fill up the cup halfway with them. But itll be correct if I go in person. I just enjoy the easy pick up because I dont like being in crowded areas. But the drinks themselves are yummy and the people are nice. Just the one annoying thing that I wish i could order online and it be correct.

Its become somewhat of a Saturday afternoon tradition for my husband and I to grab a milk tea and some mochi donuts from Fat Straws - highly recommend you do the same.Ive been to several other Fat Straws locations over the years, as well as plenty of other boba/tea house chains and Fat Straws is doing something right. Sure, not everything is a banger - there are some drinks that are too sweet or not strong enough, but im sure theyre someone elses favorite! This shop specifically has to be the fastest - our order is usually ready before my card is finished processing.The drinks are super consistent, the chewy puff/mochi donuts are outstanding (please bring back the passion fruit!!), and their rewards program kind of helps offset the price if youre a regular.TL;DR: The drinks are solid, the service is fast, and the mochi donuts are stupid-delicious. I only wish they were open earlier (a vietnamese iced coffee in the morning would just be **chefs kiss**).

Probably the boba place I come to the most. I do wish they had more options for milk teas but they’re slushes def hit the spot! I normally get a classic milk tea or a jasmine milk tea and they’re really good! Boba is not too chewy and not too sweet!

I have fallen in love. The chai milk tea with boba is my favorite and I wish I could go every day. The chewy puffs are great and love all the flavors weve tried so far.

Great service and I am a regular and order the same thing every time so its nice when I come in and they already know my order.The Island Passion is very tasty and I order it with no bubbles since I cannot identify what those really are.I have tried them once and could not get past the texture of them.Be prepared to wait in a like though,as this location gets busy!(In picture ...Island Passion on the left hand side and Mango to the right)

I have been coming to this location for years since it is minutes away from my home. The staff has always been very attentive and friendly. I am always greeted when walking through the door. I love the variety of drinks and there is a drink for everyone. I love the mango peach smoothie with boba, it is my go to drink! I love this place and it is always very clean and organized.

Best bubble tea in the city (IMHO). The selection of tea is solid and they will customize the sweetness level. Staff is also well trained to help with explaining different tastes, caffeine levels, and what works for kids (they have a few no caffeine teas). Their split cups are a good concept as well for trying different milk teas. Vegan bubbles and jellies.

GREAT service, delicious organic teas. Definitely worth a try. Bubbles are tasty and gluten free. My favorite right now is the vanilla berry truffle, but it changes constantly! They also allow you to taste the tea if they already have it brewed. Love this place.

Visited this place for the first time today. Absolutely worth it. Never had a mochi donut before but its more or less a chewy dough with the right amount of icing. Although the mochi donuts were slightly overpriced in my opinion, I would definitely get them again. The smoothies were a good price and the strawberry banana smoothie was really good. Definitely would recommend

My tea was delicious and exactly the pick me up I needed today. My bubbles were better than I remember them being. Staff was friendly and restaurant clean. I found the books and chess set a nice addition to the atmosphere. Keep up the good work!

Ive only been once. A friend told me about this place. Staff was light-hearted and helpful. The classic milk tea was delicious but had a bit too many tapioca balls for my taste. There are tables and community seating on couches.

Ive been trying their smoothies lately and really like the taste, texture, and flavor. The bubbles are a good size and have the right amount of chewy and bite balance. It can also be a nice place for a few friends to relax for awhile. They also have other beverages I havent tried yet.

This is the original Fat Straws and I’ve been coming here ever since they opened. Fat Straws, in my opinion, is the best bubble tea place in the DFW area. Their drinks are easily customizable and always good. A plus is that they’re not overpriced like most bubble/boba tea places. Staff is always friendly and service is always speedy. I just wished there were more locations.

Met the manager at Las Colinas Farmers market and bought 1 dozen mochi doughnuts! He was so nice and the doughnuts were delicious! I am gluten sensitive and they did not make me sick!!!

I have been a customer of Fat Straws for years. In particular this location, & from the time they opened for business. I do love their drinks but now that I live in Tarrant county, I have to make special trips. I wanted to share a smoothie with my little one and try a mochie (?) donut but I never received it, yet it is on my receipt as paid.Holding my baby and both our drinks, I was distracted but was still there with enough time for them to fulfill my entire order. I called them but received no answer and was sent to voicemail. I left them a message and days later, I have yet received a call w/some type of response. Very disappointing to know that the customer service is simply not good. Sad.

This place has gone straight downhill in a bad way. When I first started going there a year or two ago it was excellent. I went again two weeks ago and it was bad. The tea didnt taste like tea. Texture was strange. The only thing good was the boba. Also, dont get the taro. It tastes like straight powder.

Go to the plano location. They dont know what a Taro Smoothie is nor how to make it.

The service is great but the boba isn’t the quality that I was expecting. For me I felt that the bubbles in the drink were not really good. If you go somewhere to get boba and you want good quality go somewhere else.

My wife and I love Fat Straws. Stumbled on the place by accident. Its the perfect place to go and get a fresh treat. My favorite is the Island Passion smoothe and my wife digs on the classic milk tea. No matter what you get you cant go wrong. Love Love Love it!

Ive been an avid fan of fatstraws since 2013. Today I was at the Preston and Forest location and I saw one of the workers chase a car because the customer forgot one of their drinks. This business has always had great customer service and awesome workers! If youre a boba lover, come try out this Dallas Favorite!

I love this place but wouldn’t recommend getting the balls in your drink unless you like having to chew every time you slurp and sometimes they add too much so tell them how much you want but there drinks are great would recommend this

Always good. This is our bubble tea go-to spot when we are in Dallas. Always friendly and quick to give samples. My daughter highly recommends the pumpkin spice tea with boba. There boba is always cooked perfectly.

Pretty good. The type size for tea menu on the wall is very small and hard to read. It would be nice to have fresh fruit instead of concentrated syrup for tea mixing.

I only asked whether they offer hot teas with bobas and i got a rude response from the slim lady with nose ring at the cashier. I was there at about 1:45 pm on Saturday afternoon 01/28/2017 so that the owner will know who i am talking about. I am not sure how she has the job without any customer service skills.

Your average boba tea place. The staff are friendly and helpful, and their drinks are good. But theres nothing that really differentiates themselves from other boba places, and their prices are slightly higher. I prefer some of the other boba stores in the area when I want a delicious drink.

I highly highly recommend their taro milk tea with boba, its honestly hands down the best if youre looking for something sweet, but not too overly sweet. I love it. I always order the split cup and try a different flavor with taro, but I think Im going to just end up getting their taro milk tea with their classic milk tea. Their boba is cooked perfectly (coming from someone whos had boba tea their whole life). The staff here are always so friendly and sweet. And the drinks come out super quick. Today was my second time there and its a good 20 minutes away, but its so worth the drive. Please open up more locations around the DFW area! 😁

Employees have really bad attitude if you want any specific drink you will have to deal with a lot of attitude and you drink wont be delivered anyways. I discovered this place about 2 years ago but it was never a thing for me until last month a friend told me the had Vietnamese coffee which I love, since then Ive been going there at least every other day, I like my vietnamese coffee with a LITLE chai or thai tea just so the Vietmanese coffee is not so so strong, I dont mind the upcharge just give me my coffee flavor drink.Well my drink ALWAYS taste like tea and no vietnamese coffee, Ive tried to explain in English and Spanish because apparently the girl and other guys making the drink couldnt understand me, its so frustrating because she was laughing while making the same thai tea with a little bit of coffee, I feel like I want to jump behind the counter and do my drink myself, like how hard is this?3/4 of coffee and 1/4 of teaor a lot of coffee and little of teanow, what aboutmore than half of coffee, the rest with teaNow they have done it just perfectly but it is on only when they feel like it and they play with you saying. The coffee is already made you cannot add tea in it so I must say, mix two flavors, Im ok with an upcharge, well they dont understand.Super frustrating.I HATE going there but is the only one close to me.Every business Ive worked on understands the power of coffee and tea and how much people like it, its so funny that in this location and with summer here they cant manage to make long time costumers just for a simple request.

The Tapioco Balls (Boba) were clearly not cooked right. Boba is supposed to be a chewy, gummy substance whereas the pearls were a hard consistency when eaten. The tea was wonderful just please cook the pearls better.

A bit Americanized for a boba place but Im pretty impressed.Dont be surprised when you walk inside, theres usually a long like but it goes by pretty quick.I ordered the Infusion Strawberry Black Tea with lychee jelly and bubbles aka boba lol. It was delicious, refreshing and i def plan on stopping by if ever in the area.
