I took three batches of 8mm movies, VCR videos, and slides to Amni to be converted to digital. Each time the product got worse. On the third trip the owner gave me a discount because I complained about the quality of the product as I watched him convert an 8mm movie in front of me because it was the third time I had come in to pick it up and it still wasnt ready. I ended up taking everything to a business in Bedford -- the difference was like night and day. That business manually adjusts colors instead of letting a computer program adjust it ... the computer program tends to turn whites and skin tones yellow. The other business also didnt crop off the bottom 20 percent of each home movie. Amni is in a convenient location; but you wont be getting a good quality transfer.

I would send anyone to Amni! I had a severely damaged VHS that held precious memories that no one else would touch. The owner was able to retrieve this priceless footage for me. I have used him for another project and have several more that I will be sending his way. He is the best around and so knowledgeable. Thank you so much!

In late February 2021; I took three (3) VHS players to be fixed plus one VHS tape to be switched over to DVD. Thats a lot of work to be completed by a single person, yet, he DID! All pieces are working great with no hiccups. I received the equipment and product back in 3 weeks. I wish the man had an apprentice to carry on his specialty. I do recommend him for VHS/VHR repair. I do recomend him for switching VHS tapes and DVDS to a drive disk or other newer form of storage & retrieval. He does not fix DVD players. He will tell you that himself. I can not comment on T.V. repairs. I can only agree that he is personable (in person.) He does quality work. 😊

Ive used them for years. From T.V. Repair, Set Up, Sales and they also transfer your own home movies, cassette and VHSs onto jump drives and or portable hard drives and hell enhance them for you. The Prices are great and his shop is a TRUE repair shop. Nothing fancy. You pay for the work and its well worth it. If you get to know the guy hes fascinating, FRIENDLY and smart. He does get busy throughout the day, so HAVE PATIENCE. He has multiple audio visual services you can take advantage of. And I have for at least 10+ years. Thanks

This service goes beyond the service itself. The owner is such a personable guy. He stayed after hours talking me through a process and understands just how delicate the process of converting memories over to digital are. I went in to talk about repair and left with life lessons. Very upright business owner who knows what he’s doing and has been doing this for many years. Reasonably priced and easy way to convert all your VHS to digital seamlessly - also repaired my VCR which is VERY rare in this day and age due to lack of parts. That person is a fraud we leave a tv and he saying he going to fixed already 5 months and he never doing any work when I’m going to pick up the first time he just trying to give me the wrong tv and the second time he don’t fixed don’t go there he’s a fraud

A Refreshing experience !!!I found then to be helpfull, Honest, Professional and knowledgeable. I found then to be fair and frank ! The person I dealt with simply said that they dont charge money to diagnose and upon diagnosis stated that the 400 dollars that it would cost to fix you would not be worth the price of fixing it. And He would recommend me getting a new tv Instead.Where many people would fix a tv that was bought to them and present a repair bill and get their money, they were fair and honest.

As a present for my wife for Mothers Day, I took all of my old Hi 8mm video cassettes to Bill and he transferred them to digital files and copied them onto a thumb drive for me. I left them with him and came back with a thumb drive a week later so he could transfer the files that he had created for me onto it. I needed them that day and when he told me the files were having trouble copying over to the thumb drive and I told him I was in a bind because I couldnt wait another hour but needed them by the evening, he offered to bring the final thumb drive to my house later that day on his way home from work. He did just as promised and took no extra money in return for that favor, but did it only out of the kindness of his heart and on his word that they would be in my hand that day. It is rare that you meet someone with such integrity, and willingness to help a stranger for no benefit to themselves, but he did exactly that. His actions, demeanor and kept promise to me will not soon be forgotten, and the fact that he delivered it to my home before he went home to his own family speaks volumes about him as a businessman and more importantly, as a genuine individual. He did great work at a great price and went out of his way to satisfy me as his customer. And my wife loved the gift. I highly recommend him for all your electronic needs. He will certainly get my future business, and deservedly so. 5 STARS all the way.

I tried calling and getting a quote on my lg tv from this guy. He tried to tell me the capacitor wasn’t what was wrong with my tv without even looking at it and hung up in my face. This is the best television repair company in Dallas, with the very best service and reliability. Bill, the proprietor, went above and beyond the call of duty to fix my old 55-inch rear-projection television, even working with the signal board in his shop for two days, in an attempt to repair it -- at no cost to me, when the repair proved unsuccessful -- and then installed a new board at a reasonable price -- with same day service -- to get me back up and running. And, its one of the few companies in Dallas still willing to provide in-home repair service for televisions. Highly-recommended.

Bill went above and beyond to help me fix my malfunctioning television. It was not a quick fix. He inspected it for FREE and was not satisfied until he had completely solved the issue. Bought a replacement lamp from here in June 2012. Even though it was a Sunday, I was able to come down and get which saved me from having to order one from the Internet and lose days of valuable TV viewing pleasure.Price was reasonable given the convenience of getting it immediately rather than waiting.

I have a good TV its a 2008 it was close to a $1000 new. It developed a case of the dreaded 10 blink syndrome. The first place I called was the TV repair @ Preston and Forest. Its gonna be $75 troubleshoot fee, could take up to 30 days and close run around $400- 600 - with prices like that I might as well BUY a new TV.But Bill @ Amni....hes what I like to call a PROFESSIONAL. I cant tell you the comfort I feel from simply talking to him on the phone. Just explaining my brand, size and syndrome...he knew EXACTLY how long the repair was going to take and how much the repair would cost. What I like....is that he said it will not be more than $X amount. A guarantee that it will not cost more that the price quoted. WOW! Quite possibly THE worst experience ever! This guy had my television for 2 months! Never called me to update. After calling a few times they said they could not do the repair. I went to another shop in Plano, they told me I need to change the board a board and they order it for me. The TV works perfect from them!

The person Bill is nice and plays Oud instrument. Good repair quality for my Sharp 55 TV. But expensive. But it worths getting done by him. He loses his temper easily I think but was nice to me. But relatively expensive regarding the other shops. Charged me 275 bucks for part main board and labor.

Very friendly service, fair prices and will go the extra mile to help you. After I replaced the lamp on my Sony, I had no sound. After about an hour of trying to figure out what was wrong, I gave a quick call to Anmi and he told me the cable box sometimes mutes itself, so just reset it and see if the sound comes back. Worked like a charm. Ill go back to Anmi in heartbeat.

An educational trip AND got my tv fixed for a great price when everyone else told me to trash it!

I called two other tv repair shops prior to Amni, where they charged $120 - $180 just to LOOK at my broken 5-year old TV.Found Amni on Google, brought my LED TV on a Saturday evening just prior to close and Bill had diagnosed it by Monday. For free. He let me know what he suspected to be the issue and how much it cost to fix ($150 total, the same price the other guys wanted just to estimate it). It was fixed within 1 week that Id brought the TV in.Bill works magic, and honest magic at that. I stuck around to hear his story of opening the shop 20 years prior, and was inspired by his humble story. Very kind, honest small business owner. I took my TV to repair and he said he would charge $ 135 two days after the Czech (I had to talk to him on the phone), he was in to tell me when he was ready, two weeks passed and I did not receive calls from him at any time, then I decided after a month of having left with my TV to go and ask if he has any problems with the repair and he only told me that he could not repair it. I resent the fact that I never received a call to tell me that I could not repair it, but if you could tell me how much I would charge. And he has a sign that says that after 30 days he keeps the devices, so that sounds weird. In a few words it is not professional and has a total disorder in your business. I just lost my time with him.

There are few businesses around anymore that care as much for their customers as this one. Took in a plasma screen that I attempted to repair myself. After viewing the manufacturer website and contacting their recommended repair shop (There was only one in DFW) I decided to try Amni instead. The company recommended repair shop was going to charge an additional $260 in labor simply for looking at the TV, and not guarantee to fix it. Amni Electronics means it when they say they will diagnose the problem for free (Most likely in the same day) and then if you choose he will repair it at a very reasonable labor cost (Again, most likely in the same day). There is no better options in DFW for television repair.

I have a Samsung 60 inch DLP that needed a color wheel to be replaced. I called Amni Electronics, Bill answered the phone and he was extremely polite and knowledgeable. We set a time for them to come to my house and fix my TV. They were very punctual and professional. My TV works grate and I have not had any problems with it since then. I will definitely use them again in the future if I run into another problem with my TV sets. I definitely recommend them to all my friends.

I came to Amni Electronics because I had broken the cable on my TV. Although he was unable to fix the original TV part, he was able to use another part and fix my TV within 2 hours. I was very pleased with the TV repair service and I would recommend Amni Electronics to anyone who is in need of a repair.

My Samsung DLP 50 TV got bad color wheel. I called the company to describe the problem in the morning then Bill came my house after noon. He took 15min to fix it. The charge is reasonable. I do appreciate him!

I went in with my tv that was broken... he checked it for free and kept it overnight for no charge to see what was wrong... the next day I called and he told me the power supply went out and gave me the price... I told him Id think about it... called him back about an hour later saying i was on my way to pick it up... this was 3pm on Saturday.... they close at 4... I said I was rushing to make it there in time since I live on the other side of town... he told me not to worry and that hed STAY OPEN until I got there even though he wasnt getting any money from me... that astounded me... I got there in time and got my tv back... my friend is gonna try to fix it for me since hes an electrical engineer and he owed me a favor... But If he cant I know where Im going back to... Bill is an overall electronics expert, not only TVs. I brought several problematic active JBL speakers and subwoofers to him from my studio. He provided a reasonable quote for each, and he fixed them all quickly, and at or below the quoted price. Hes also a very nice person and I highly recommend his services.

Extremely helpful rescuing a locked DVD player

This is a great place to help with equipment getting outdated as fast as you purchase it. We had a problem with our 8 year old Samsung 55 TV with not turning on quick enough, it turns out its was a factory defect and the warranty and fix had all but passed, but Online I knew how to fix it. Problem is soldering and replacing capacitors is not my cup of tea. After many years of this clicking problem, it got so bad that I finally open it up and removed the main board. Now where to take it, I finally found Amni Electronics after searching on the internet, it was just around the corned from my work, took it to him, it could be fixed in less than an hour for a great price. picked it up that afternoon, placed back into my TV and I was good to go. TV turned on right away. thanks for still being around and help keeping a great TV from going to the junk yard.

I had taken my TV to another repair shop down the street on Preston but wont name names... They tried to charge me a ridiculous amount and I wasnt about to pay that again (second time going there). I found Amni online and after reading the reviews decided to give it a shot. Not only was the owner one of the most professional and straight up guys Ive dealt with the bill was almost $350 less! Never again will I take my TV anywhere else to get serviced. This place is a MUST!

I have a Samsung 55 DLP that I bought in 2006. In 2010, my screen went completely dark and would not come on. It is now June 2012 and I started looking for a bulb replacement after finding out that all I needed was my bulb replaced. I started calling around and finally talking to Amni Electronics. They were very professional and courteous. He informed me that he did have it in stock and to bring my bulb. He also let me know how easy it was to remove the bulb from the tv and replace it. I am glad I purchased from them and was able to save my tv. I recommend Amni Electronics to anyone having trouble with their tv. Try them first before getting rid of it.
