Its been a couple of decades since I stepped foot in a needlework store and this was the perfect place to break the drought!I went in to get fabric for a pattern from Heaven and Earth Designs. I was able to get exactly what I needed at a good price...PLUS, they were gracious enough to go the extra mile, which they didnt have to do! I wont say how, because I dont think they want to set a precedent. The temptations in the shop are endless! Lots of really wonderful needlepoint canvases...But, my favourite purchase was 2 Easy Guide Ball-Tip Needles from Sullivans USA. These needles are already a game changer!I will be back to visit this shop, for certain!

The employees were helpful and some to us as if we were old friends. The store was stocked very well.A bit pricey would be the only negative but everything is pricey now.

Lots of silk and specialty floss for embroidery but not much in the way of cross stitch or cotton floss. I was hoping to see specialty Aida, cross stitch kits, and Aurifloss and other cross stitch floss. Staff was friendly although I felt like they approached me like I didn’t really belong in the store.

I was looking for cross stitch and they did have a few charts but the store is mostly for needlepoint. Tons of floss though. They were very nice and the store is open and inviting.

Experienced staff and large selection of threads, but not a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Not my favorite place to source needlepoint.

I just love this place. The women that work there are not only overflowing with talent, but they are more than happy to help you and suggest which threads and supplies are best for your project. Prices are more than fair. Like I said, I just love this place. I’ve never felt more welcome at a needlepoint store, they went out of their way to help me. I HIGHLY recommend this store!

Creative Stitches and gifts has every thread you could imagine, a sale rack of patterns, lots of stands and lights available. They have a whole room with multiple tables dedicated to classes and stitching meetings!

The ladies on staff are world class! They know me by name after only a half dozen visits and have been willing to special order canvases for me. They have advised on thread selection and pattern when I did not have the stitch guide. When I opened up to being a beginner and needing a simple inexpensive project, they had suggestions for those too. This store and its staff is a real treasure!

I was so excited to find this store but the friendliness of the staff was not warm and fuzzy. I dont expect much but friendly chat. I felt like I was a burden. Store was not busy. I will not buy from this store. First impressions count.

My absolute favorite Needlepoint store in the US! If there were 10 stars available, I would happily give CSG 10+!I started needlepointing last year & as a beginner, it can be a very intimidating hobby to take on. There is so much talent and so many wonderful artists to choose from.I found several canvases that I couldnt live without and was also able to order 6 pieces from my very favorite artist directly through the store. The salespeople helped me navigate which essential tools I needed to get started & got me signed up for a Tony Minieri class (SWOON) for my very first piece! The stitch guide & materials put together by Tony and provided by CSG were not only spectacular, they were easy to tackle as a first time stitcher. If I had to pick one thing as my favorite aspect of the store, its the staff. They have stitchers on hand to help you hand pick threads and materials, Mount your canvas on stretcher bars, discuss unique techniques or as in my case- get you completed outfitted from the ground up.I recently finished the first piece I started at CSG & when I added that last stitch, I made sure to share the news with the staff who had helped me along the way. To say I felt encouraged in this accomplishment would be an understatement.Anywho, Im writing a novel as usual. Bottom line is that if youre in Texas, make some time to go visit Carol & the gals! Tell them Katie the first timer says Hi!!!

Terrible when it comes to finidhing. They got the needlepint the last week in January ( to be made into a pillow for a March birthday gift). It is now May.. They tell you 6-8 weeks, now three months and nothing in sight. Also will not allow you to personally contact finisher, say they dont know who it is...evidently they mail off your work to someone, who then sends it to finisher. Where is it China?? Lost?????. How can a business fo business with another business and not know them. Also they cannot or will not give an estimate of cost for the finishing..Such a shame because nice syore. But I will now be doing business at the shop at Lovers Lane Needlepoint This. Also my needlepoint club will be how patronizing Needlepoint This. Now awaiting for a phone call,,,have asked that they just return the needlepoint, pillow insert, backing fabric, and trim to me. Hopefully not lost- havev $300 in supplies in this and 6 months of work.
