I throughly enjoyed this place. New, used and antique firearms and other weapons. Not to mention the old and one of a kind books.
Just went to this store and they had the best damn group of guys you could ask for very nice and took the time with me to help me find the gun I wanted I walked out of there a happy customer
Fantastic store. Ive never seen so many antique firearms in one place, I felt like a kid in a candy store. Staff were incredibly polite and helpful, all around seemed like good people. Will definitely be shopping here again.
Wonderful folks here! I was welcomed from the start, and made to feel like a regular on my first visit. Unbelievable collection of all kinds of very cool arms as well. Make this a must visit if in town.
Entered store with 5 old men sitting in a circle. Beautiful guns but no service. You would have thought I was a criminal upon entering. I smiled and said hello, no response. It’s a FUD gun shop and I’m 55! Doesn’t say hello or even ask if I was looking for something. Guess he doesn’t need to sell anything.
Doc was amazing myself being a gun nut still learned more from him and amazing selection some great amount rare guns
Great Shop & great customer service! Doc and the other staff are always friendly & helpful. If they dont have it they will find it fir you.
Doc very nice and helpful!!
Probably the best store in the entire metroplex for rare and antique firearms. Their selection is legendary and their service impeccable. If you are a true firearm lover then this is the place for you. They also buy guns and ammo, and in the two instances where I have done so they have given me fair prices and got through the process very quickly. I cannot speak more highly of Jackson armory.
Loved this place!! A hidden gem! Best old school type shop in Dallas! Not a range, but a true classic gun store. Lots of actual classic guns here.. If youre looking for something different, old, hard to find.. its here, or they can get it! Tons of knowledge here also! Best gun guys in Dallas!
These guys are awesome and very helpful, especially for new buyers. I went in to purchase my own rifle and Randy helped me through the whole process. Theyre all extremely knowledgeable with firearms and I will definitely be coming back soon!
Ret. Judge David Jackson had a vision to bring old and new together when it came to firearms. A gathering place to experience, share and learn. Vision and goal accomplished.
Wow what an experience, walked in to just look around and was amazed by the wide selection of curated firearms. This place is a must see for anyone who loves guns. The relics that you can just pick up and examine is extraordinary, and mostly everything is for sale at a very reasonable price. Started chatting with some of the guys there and they were more than happy to talk history and firearms. Never did I once feel uncomfortable, the employees were very warm and friendly. They even showed me some of there personal carry and truck guns. This place is a perfect piece of history. Thank-you to all the employees that made my visit a great one.(Also they have a punt gun!)
My first time at the Jackson Armory to pick up a transfer. Kevin helped me through the process. High standards and great service. That .44 magnum revolver looks really good.
An old timey gun store with real gun guys...an awesome mix of boutique and farm mercantile. Bought a like NIB 1980 S&W Model 28-2 w/ box for a great price. When you drive to location, youll have a hard time believing a store like this exists in that particular shopping center. 😁
If youre in Dallas and looking for antique/new fire arms and or information about them. This is the place for you. My wife and I walked in and was greeted with great hospitality and inviting conversations with the staff who were knowledgeable about suppressors and Firearms. When we go back to Dallas we will be stopping by again to get her her first Firearm.
Went in to look at a specific gun Id seen on gunbroker since Im local. I talked to Kevin. He must be the rude one others have referred to or there is more than oneSo after looking at the MRC Creedmoor Id come to see I offer him $950, its listed in store at $1350, but starting bid on gunbroker is $1050. He says that is a loss and he can do $1300.When I point out that its on gunbroker for $1050 he cuts me off, makes a talking motion with his hand, and tells me I can keep talking but nothing is changing.I turned around and walked out. Wont ever go back there again. I know the type. He doesnt care what anyone thinks, which is a type I dont do business with.Im also not going to pay $250 more for the same gun just because I walked into the store instead of buying online.
Very friendly and knowledgeable gentleman. More guns per square inch than any other shop or store. If you can think of it chances are they have it. If you arent sure or have questions they will be more than happy to answer them for you.
Friendly welcome from the staff. Magnificent inventory. Lovely atmosphere. Superb in every way.
These guys rock. I did a consignment with Kevin of two high end 1911 handguns. Kevin recommended the listing price. I called a month or two later, when the guns had not sold, suggested reducing the price. He said he thought they were priced about right, hang in for a while, maybe reduce later, not now. And . . . Kevin was Right! They sold a short time later for his list price, and I got a check. And by the way, this place is a well kept secret for aficionados of antique rifles, handguns, swords, and -- get this -- small cannons. Have I said this? These guys rock!
Excellent and friendly staff. Will answer all question with kindness! I would buy again form them.
My husband had a wonderful time looking through the great selection of guns and knives while I perused the antique books. It was a great time for us both. He found a few items that made a nice addition to his antique gun collection, and the prices were quite reasonable. The staff was knowledgeable and very helpful.
Great store. Bought high end collector firearm from them. Willing to give great deal, very polite and helpful, and item came just as described or maybe even better. Top notch guys. Thanks Jackson Armory!
Went to sell a handgun but ended up not taking the offer. My experience however was great; very friendly, honest, the collection of guns they have is amazing. Definitely recommend just stopping in even if you arent buying or selling.
Honest, humble, great people. Beautiful selection. Reasonable prices and some rare pieces. Anyone who rates it less than 3 stars is just a sour individual.
From the early 1960s when Jackson Arms were on Hillcrest Ave across from SMU, to date..what a wonderful selection of history as well as great fun just looking around.
Went in looking for a WW2 British Enfield. staff was excellent. They helped me find what i was looking for and went above and beyond, they even threw in some freebies for my new rifle. great place, highly recommended.
Really cool gun shop because of all the classic guns, but my two purchasing experiences have been less than pleasing. First purchase was fine but the employee was rude. My father in law thought I was crazy to go ahead with the transaction due to the way is was being treated.I gave them another shot and purchased a colt sporter II on my next visit. Rifle was advertised on the tag to include a 20 round period correct colt mag. They couldnt locate the mag so I asked for a discount. Same employee told me in a condescending tone that if I wanted it the listed price was the price no discount. I really liked the rifle and was then assured they would locate a 20 round colt magazine and mail it to me. Never got it, and this all took place approximately a year ago. I guess a mans word doesnt mean much these days. The gun shop gets 5 stars for cool factor but 2 stars for service.
A refreshing oasis in the middle of University Park, TX. Its like going to a museum where you can buy the display items! Very knowledgeable and friendly staff! Lots of interesting collectible guns.
Did an FFL thorough the shop. Was done very quickly. The salesman offered advice about the rifle even though it wasnt from their shop. These guys have a clear passion for guns and history and it shows with good service.
Ive sold several of my military collectable firearms to Jackson Armory and the transactions have always been uncontentious in nature. Theyve always assessed the condition of my firearms fairly, offered prices that were at or near what I expected to receive, and acted as if they truly appreciated me being in their store. I recommend doing business with Jackson Armory.
Would definitely go here again. Small, but large selection of past military arms. Rare for me to see several Garands, Springfield’s and M1 carbines on the shelf. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff
My first impressions where just WOW.. I have never seen so much history in one place and the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and answered all my questions I had, I had been looking for a K98 Mauser German, I found one there which was reasonably priced for its state and age. Would recommend them to anyone of my family and friends looking to buy.
Great experience, friendly and enthusiastic staff who know what they’re selling. I wish I could give more stars.
I visited this emporium for the first time a week or so ago. Very IMPRESSIVE. Loaded with collectible guns, and unlike many gun shops - displayed in a clean and orderly manner. Friendly people (what did you expect- NewYorkers?) Recommended when you are in the Dallas area. BilHolloway Tulsa OK
I walk in to this place and see that it is accessible to the merchandise and they have a decent selection. I walk up to one of the guys and tell him that I am looking for a gun under $500.00. He smiles (what I thought was a smug smile and tells me “this isn’t your place; you need to go down to the sporting goods store down the way”. I guess sometimes I’m not too savvy when it comes to taking a hint: that the guy doesn’t want my kind in the store. My brother-in-law tells me; look here first they have plenty of guns under that mark. So I start looking. And yes they had plenty of guns in that price range. A very kind gentleman comes up to us and starts to do his thing. He explains all the ins and outs of the guns we’re looking at (great guy). I start looking at a shotgun that I thought would be great for me. I notice that the guy that I first talked to just won’t stop looking at me while I browse. It started to feel uncomfortable so I just stopped looking his way, but always felt his eyes on me.I am there with my wife and daughter of 6 years as well. They had to use the restroom and they went. I stayed in the main area looking at the inventory. Well after some time I felt like using the restroom as well. I ask my wife where exactly the restroom is and she tells me “just right through those double doors and to your right. Without really thinking I take off to the restroom and do what she told me. I walk through the double doors and to my right. I didn’t see any restroom I turn around and then right behind me is that that first guy being really stern and almost yelling at me to never go that way. I apologize and tell him I didn’t mean to pass the door of the restroom I didn’t even notice where it was. He tells me “oh, you knew alright, everyone else went in this door and you decided to take a detour and look around; you know what, I think it would be best if you just left”. I was shocked with his whole demeanor and the way he was treating me. I stayed calm and said that’s fine sir, I’ll leave right now. I came over to my family and told them that we had to leave because I was kicked out. I was greatly offended. I haven’t been kicked out of nowhere since I was 14 and kicked out of my sister’s room as kid.Without any issues I decided to leave, but after I tell my wife the latter she didn’t believe it. She thought I was joking with her. I tell her that this is no joke, let’s just leave. This guy decides to speak again and I just had enough. I told him to back off and stop acting like a complete a-hole I’m leaving and there is nothing else for him to say. He then puts his hands in his pocket and starts to smile. This jack-off was dying for me to give him a reason to pull the gun in his pocket out. He was more than ready to pull and shoot. I was astonished by this archaic, idiotic behavior. I was with my family. This kind of thing is unacceptable and this should never happen to anyone else.I don’t even know how a place like this is in business with this kind of idiot in the store.
Some of the widest and best selection of militaria and antique/vintage firearms Ive seen in Texas; imagine walking into a well curated museum where everything has a price. Specifically, their selection of non-modified mid 1800s - mid 1900s firearms is hard to beat.
These guys know their stuff. Very helpful and genuine folks.
This place is amazing! This gunstores is the kind of gunstores Ive been looking for all my life! The staff and owner are polite and ready to help you. Ill be stopping by this place when Im looking for a military surplus!
They are so professional and give you best advice . they doesnt force you to buy anything .! They have excellent knowledge about Guns and safety .! Must check it out before you buy from somewhere else .!
Very friendly and professional staff. Great place to do business.
This is the best place in Dallas to find rare or antique firearms. Ive been going there for almost four years now, and have yet to be disappointed in either quality or selection.
Amazing place staff was very nice and helpful. They have all kinds of rare collectable firearms. They carry alot of things that other shops just dont carry.
Clueless when it comes to antique gunsOne mans opinion doesnt make it a fact but what I witnessed does
Top notch guns and top notch customer service. Would not go anywhere else for guns or advice.
Very knowledgeable and great guys.
Great place customer service is excellent
