My 1st visit here was recently just 4 days ago. I was looking for a fastener just 1 small fastener that I couldnt find the name of it. I explained as best I could what it was. He missed it on the 1st try but nailed it on the second try. Turns out it was a furniture nut for a whopping $1.42. I looked for 5 days looking for that 1 little inexpensive part. Took me only 20 minutes at this Ace Hardware in Richardson. Need I say more?

It is a toy store for tool enthusiasts. But what makes a so awesome is the fact its small enough to where you still get that personal attention as if youre shopping in your neighborhood hardware shop. Products are wonderful all the employees are very attentive. I cant wait to go back again

New location for us with the typical great service. So much better than the big box stores.

Drove our Jeep over to get a new key made. We checked on the web site to make sure they could make a key with a chip, so we headed that way. The employee quoted me $89 and I said great.Handed him our key and waked around the store while he went out to the Jeep so he could program the new keep. After about 20 minutes he was having a problem programming the key. We bought the Jeep with a aftermarket alarm system. He had tried to program the new key and set off the alarm. In fact, every time he opened the door, the alarm would go off. At that time another employee-manager-owner came over to help. We lifted the hood and tried to disconnect the alarm. No such luck.We were then notified that they didn’t know how to turn off the alarm or reprogram a new key.They never asked if we had a alarm system even though the remote for the alarm was on the key chain when I gave the key to the employee.We had to drive with the lark going off to a shop and have a professional turn off the alarm.Never again at this Ace Hardware. More like, Joker Hardware!After seeing the owners reply, we were never asked if we had a alarm on the Jeep. In fact, I gave the employee the key along with the remote for the alarm. Never asked if we had a alarm!

I cant say how much I appreciate this place. Its like MY store. I first think of this place when I need something. The staff and management are excellent. They carry just about everything plus items you cant find elsewhere. But its the service and convenience of it that sets them apart. You need one thing youre in and out quickly. Unlike big box retailers where you are navigating through endless aisles of stuff to get one thing, this place has everything organized and easy to access. Theyre always helpful and have great knowledgeable employees.

Busy, but everyone that worked there was very helpful & knowledgeable finding me a nut & bolt that cost pennies for my mower handle! Best place I have ever walked into to find help.They are the Helpful Hardware People, Way better than Lowes or Home Depot. Got me a nut, bolt & washer in minutes that would have taken me 30min to get several nuts, bolts & washers to make sure I had the right ones.They lost money on me, but the experience was fantastic! I will have to go back & buy something so the store owners can keep the doors open! The service was fantastic!

One of the sinks in our bathroom was draining slowly. The pop up assembly was clear, so I suspected the P-trap was clogged, however I found that it was glued in solid. The condensate drain from our AC unit also tied into this area, making the job more involved them the usual disassemble-clean-reassemble. After cutting out the trap I went to Ace to purchase the parts to rebuild the trap. Im pretty handy, but it wasnt obvious which parts I would need to get everything back together (PVC to the standard tail piece requires adapters, etc.). Hondo was there to help, sent me home with what I need, and everything is back together and draining freely. Thank you Hondo!

This is a well run store! Brightly lit, clean, and well stocked. The BBQ section beats most any other store. Fantastic selection, even the hard to find items. Staff is helpful and friendly. Highly recommend you try them

The staff here is super helpful! I was buying 20 barrels of wood and without hesitation 2 gentleman went ahead and saw me loading up a cart and took over. They’ve also been super helpful when you walk in and know exactly what your looking for but not sure where, the greeters at the front will tell you exactly where to go and your in and out in a couple minutes.

I loved it here because of the nice people that really looked forward to ask me how I was doing and if I needed help wich I did lol thanks

Took wife to get potting soil for our patio garden. Service was quick and they carried it to the vehicle and loaded it. Staff was helpful and friendly. Great store.

This was my first time and last going to this store looking for some hinges for a job my husband company is doing but they don,t have it i started looking at the brooms and one guy who works there came to me and told me that next time i had to leave my purse because it looks like a backpack and people used those to steal and he told me we have cameras everywere like i was there to steal i can believe the way he treat me.

One representative was extremely helpful but someone else at the desk was dismissive. Overall a good experience, well lit and clean. They had the pickup order ready, just took a minute.

I went to look for specific screws and nails and Jeffery was so knowledgable and helpful. All staff are eager to assist and they carry many cool household/fixer upper items. I love going to this ACE HARDWARE STORE!!!

I had a plumbing emergency on Friday evening. I went rushing to your store to catch you before you closed. A man, I am assuming was the manager was exiting the store as I pulled up. I jumped out to ask if you had a plumbing auger. I could think of the name so described it. The man said yes, we have those, but you can get it at Home Depot and got in his car. I did find one at Home Depot and will most likely find all of my hardware needs there as well in the future.

The in-store experience is inefficient. It took 30 minutes to pick up an online order because I was in the wrong line of a very small store. After waiting in the main check out line, we were told that apparently online orders can only be fulfilled at the paint station by a manager so we went to that register and waited for a manager to become available, which took 15 minutes. We then asked to pay for our additional items there and were told we had to go back to the main register where we waited another 10 minutes. There were very few people in the store. When you can be in and out of Lowes or The Home Depot in 5 minutes, its baffling this store thinks it has any sort of competitive advantage.

They always have what I need, and the folks at this location were very nice.

Love Ace Hardware! Have since 1980...have people that are knowledgeable and actually care and make you feel appreciated...the store on Jupiter and Arapaho closed so we go to this one now...Carry products like rubber washers that Home Depot and Lowes have got away from...just like the knowledgeable associates they used to have...but Ace associates are tops!

I called see if they had the item and when i talk to the gentleman on the phone it seem that he had an attitude. I was taken back by the disrespect that the person on the other side of the phone had. I feel like when a employee answers the phone should be happy and inviting and able to find what ever he/she needs. I would think twice before calling this store.

So much easier than the massive no-help stores. Theres always someone at the door asking what you need the moment you walk in.

I have been to this Ace about 4 or 5 times since I moved into the area. The customer service is outstanding everytime I go. I sent a friend to pick up something for me and she said those are the nicest people. Customer service just goes such a long way.They are doing everything right.

This is really the largest Ace Hardware Ive ever been in. Its quite nice and well-organized. While I enjoy the small box feel of the Ace closest to my home, I did appreciate the large shelves and greater variety available at this location. As always, the people are very helpful.

Quick service when I went into the store for order pick up of pots and pans knob. TOPS Plastic Replacement Pot Knob Black came with screws that didnt fit the knobs depth. Used extra screw out of my toolbox to make it work. One package came with washers and the other package did not. It still worked for what I needed it for.

Just picked up a call in order at Richardson store. I pulled up out front to have them bring order out. Pulled in sideways in two spots so that they could come to passenger side of car.The woman who brought items out reprimanded me for taking up two spaces. I was there for less than one minute. Seems they would be happy for the business. Well they wont be getting any more of mine.

Stopped in to buy some plexiglass to place on top of my furniture and I just paid for what I needed unlike other places that make you buy the whole sheet. Did I mention they were cut too size and fit perfectly, Great experience overall.

Went above and beyond to help me with getting a project the right size and helping me find answers to somewhat obscure questions. My first time visiting an Ace but Id say the helpful hardware folks is a perfect description. Signed up for a loyalty rewards card because I know Ill be returning!

I was at this store 2-3 weeks ago. None of the staff had mask protection. Spoke to store owner who said he would not wear a mask until someone would tell him to, and could tell him for how long. He was rude, defensive and told me I wasnt happy because I didnt like the answer he was giving. Lady, its about freedom. I thought Ace True Value was about service?

Thank you to all the people who posted to let the public know that this store does not observe social distancing, nor wear masks. I was leaving my cardiologists office and wanted to pick up some more canning jars. Searched gps on phone for nearest ACE and fortunately saw the reviews, particularly the one about the owner saying its about freedom. I am severely immunocompromosed and have to wear oxygen. No Mr. Owner, your freedom does not include you intentionally putting my life at risk. Thats not freedom, thats childish selfishness, and not what this great country was built on. So I drove out of my way to the ACE on Josey Lane, where I found true Americans (employees and customers) who were practicing what God taught us; do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Everyone had on masks and was social distancing, and the employee who checked me out, came from behind the counter and wheeled my shopping cart out to my car and loaded all the cases of canning jars that I had purchased, without me even asking for help. Thank you WESTLAKE ACE! It was worth the drive!

I appreciate the knowledge and courtesy of the employees the most. Next, I like that my neighborhood Ace Hardware equips the store with products that reflect the age and architecture of my neighborhood.

These guys are awesome. If they dont know how to fix something, they will refer you to someone that can help. For any hard project, this is my place. There sale items and coupons allow you to keep the prices down...but they are worth extra money!

Im so glad Ace hardware is still available and open. Ace hardware does not have the same products that home Depot and Lowes have. It has better products....!!! What I need at home Depot and Lowes doesnt exist. I can get it at Ace hardware and Im so glad theyre still here...!!!! :)

Great place for quick DIY supply pick up for minor projects for our house. A lot to offer for reasonable prices. Customer service is top notch.

Trying to support small, local business and I went to this ACE Hardware store on Belt Line Road Thursday afternoon to pick up an order and this is what I encountered:1: No social distancing being observed whatsoever, not by customers or employees.2: Limited and inconsistent use of masks by both employees and customers - Why would some employees wear masks and others not? Isnt there a company policy in place for the safety of employees and the public / customers? Furthermore, hasnt Dallas County issued directives to wear masks in public for everyones safety?3: When I asked an employee about why no safety measures were in place I was told (in a rude and condescending tone) “You are being too sensitive.These actions and, more importantly, the words spoken make me question the priority given to the safety of their workers & customers during the current COVID19 pandemic. Add in the absense of courtesy in dealing with customers and not exactly the helpful hardware store.

As always, Ace Hardware of Richardson had what I needed at a great price and their knowledgeable and helpful staff helped me get in and out quickly, as per usual.

This ACE Hardware used to be a really good place and I previously strongly recommended it. Something has happened in that all of the wonderful employees who used to work here are gone (fired?). There are a great many new employees milling around yet it is now very difficult to obtain any help since they prefer to cluster near the registers.Today I managed to get the attention of an employee (the only one I saw help someone else) long enough to be sent in a general direction, but the store did not have the product I expected to find there (a simple plastic tree protector). Three weeks previous I was looking for extension cord spools and I was told (I assume by the new manager) that nobody buys those so they do not stock them and I should order on-line. A month and a half ago I also had difficulty finding any drip-watering parts, but (with some insistence on my part), they checked a back-room and found what I was looking for.Today I am really angry that I wasted 45 minutes on a trip for nothing and spent much time walking in circles and trying to find what I needed. My last trip was wasted time as well. Recently I have obtained much better assistance at Home Depot. I would provide one star but the store still has many things in stock. After spending thousands of dollars at ACE Hardware stores in this center (since 1993), this store will now be my last resort.
