Ive been taking tenor banjo lessons (individual and group) from Scott for over 8 years, and will continue to do so until he stops giving them. I started as a complete beginner, and Scott has helped me to steadily advance. Hes taught me so much, and I am confident that Ill continue to learn new things each time, no matter how long I go.Im certain that there is no finer music teacher in the entire DFW area, and i suspect that he has few peers nationwide. Im proud to be one of his students.

Ive been a student at ScottSound for many years, both for individual lessons and as a member of a group/band. The instructors have the personalities to teach to all age groups and all skill levels. Not a fancy studio setting, just great learning/teaching experiences.

I asked Scott for Banjo lessons... I explained that I am a classically trained musician. I explained that this was my 8th instrument, so I didnt want to start at the beginning. He has a formula that he follows... He follows the Banjo Primer without regard for a persons ability, just follow the program. This might work for you if youre a beginner to music, but it certainly didnt work for me. I was forced I to buying a pack of lessons and I still had a credit when I stopped going. It felt like a scam... And they refused to give me a refund for my remaining credit... If you want to learn a secondary instrument, its honestly easier and cheaper to find a YouTube video and do the work.

Fantastic place to learn to play and instrument. My four children have each taken lessons here and have all had wonderful experiences. Highly recommend it for beginners.

Took trumpet lessons here with Scott and absolutely loved them. Started as a total beginner and learned not only to play the instrument but to read sheet music and the ins-and-outs of the instrument for maintenance.
