I wanted to update my previous review. As you can see below, my wife and I were very unhappy. After we got a chance to set up an appointment to visit the Bradfield facilities and get a tour and get a sneak peek at our piano, we realized we are lucky to get the piano at this point. The company has been swamped since last Februarys storm with restoration and repair work. The warehouse is literary packed to capacity. The team is working very hard to keep pace with the inventory, but it will take them months to even catch up.Our piano was delivered today. The restoration is outstanding. They refinished the piano that was damaged by the moisture from a February leak in the house. It looks brand new. The team members who dropped it off handled the piano with great care, avoiding any scratches on our walls or damaging the piano.Previous PostSix months ago, the company picked up our piano after the disastrous winter storm in February. Every month for the past three months, we have been promised that the restoration would be completed. We realized the company was probably inundated with projects, but we also realize that giving us timely and accurate information about the completion of the restoration of our piano is what professional, responsive and courteous companies do.

Bradfield provides outstanding service in all ways. Communication was excellent, both from the front office and by Ricky, the mover himself. Ricky contacted me the morning of the move, as I’d been told. He and his assistant arrived when they said they would. Most importantly, they took excellent care of our family’s small grand piano. I cannot say enough great things about the team at Bradfield. I recently discovered my Grandmothers very old piano had been neglected in a garage for over 20 years. They picked it up in Lewisville, took it to their shop, restored it beautifully then delivered it to me in Chandler, TX 90 miles away. It is just as beautiful as I remembered it as a little kid. The piano was moved and as far as I can tell it is in the same condition (not sure of that but...). The two very large men who moved the piano were well prepared physically and materially and did the job efficiently and quickly (without messing around). That said, the larger lead man of the two was vocal about the piano and it being a large one and that it was an undesirable piano move. He was negative, period. Also, when the piano was moved he was unable to lift the piano and allow me to put slider pads under the piano. I talked him into it and gave him all the cash that I had on me for a tip, not much, but really???? bad attitude of leader/lead male on the move. worth the money and done, so company gets a good rating. mover needs to think about retiring, changing jobs, or taking a customer service class/learn to keep his dissatisfaction to himself/hidden/covered when dealing with customers.

My family heirloom piano was damaged in the Dallas pipe bursting freeze last February. Bradfield made my 100-year-old piano look magnificent. It took a long time, but the outstanding results show everything was done painstakingly and with tremendous skill. I love the results.

We have a very special Parlor Grand piano that by Grandfather bought in 1933 for my mother on her first birthday. It has been a part of every memory in my lifetime and has been in my home since my Moms death 25 years ago. Needless to say, as we are professional musicians, it has been loved and cherished for nearly 90 years. I finally decided to have some work done to refresh this member of our family and I chose Bradfield to entrust with the work. Holt was wonderful and totally understood how much this piano meant to me. We met, after the piano was moved to his studio, and discussed the options. We weighed the balance between restoration and preservation of the patina that had been acquired over the years. I was not looking for a NEW instrument, but a rediscovery of the beauty of the case and keyboard along with some maintenance needed after years of use. Deep cleaning, mechanical adjustments, and refinishing of the case, keyboard, and brass fittings was masterfully completed, and returned to us. I have never seen the piano look this beautiful. Holt took the time and had the expert eye to find the clues to its former color, finish, and feel to get every detail perfect. I could not recommend him and Bradfields artist/restoration experts any more highly. I am forever grateful and can see my Moms smile when I look at the piano and know I am carrying that gift forward.

I wanted to have my grandmother’s 100 year piano restored. It had been sitting in a garage and was in poor shape. I talked to them on the phone and we discussed options and prices. Our usual piano movers were booked, so I hired Bradfield to move a couple of pianos (one full size upright, and one 9ft concert grand). I was a little surprised when only two gentlemen arrived, it’s definitely a 3-4 man job. But besides it taking a little extra time, they handled the job very well and handled the instruments with care.

Wow, Im really impressed with this company. After another piano moving company left me high and dry because they couldnt move my grand piano upstairs, I stumbled upon Bradfield. Update - the piano arrived in its new home, looking quite refreshed from its 7 month piano spa visit. (The restoration only took about 2 months. The rest of that time was in storage during a move across the state. The cabinet has been completely refinished - hasnt looked this good since it was brand new in 1906 Ill wager. The action is again much more responsive, and where Bradford Piano exceeded my expectations was in fixing several small, but quirkily annoying aspects of the function of the piano that I just chalked up to it being over 100 years old. I am very impressed with Bradfield Piano Restoration. Their moving folks take great care and fuss over it like it was their baby. This is a great Piano Restoration business, and I highly recommend them.So far so good. The gentlemen that drove halfway across Texas to pick up our baby grand knew about the 114 year old piano, dismantled and removed it from the residence without a hitch. They were in an out in less than 30 minutes and on their way back to Dallas for some renovation. Next comes storage, then modest restoration, then delivery to its new home in July.

I recently chose Bradfield to finish restoring my 105 year old baby grand piano. Previously I had used another service and had a horrendous outcome, had to sue that company and then got my piano back partially complete after nearly 2 years. Holt came in, did a fair assessment of the work that needed to be completed to my satisfaction, completed the work on time, on budget and as promised. I have used Bradfield Piano for several for some major improvements to my Steinway, such as installing new Steinway hammers. (They even presented to me the sealed Steinway box of hammers with the notation Do not accept if seal is broken) They then broke the seal in my presence. His staff were professional and very careful with the piano. When the movers opened the trailer my Boston was wrapped up like a little baby with thick blankets snd strapped against the trailer. I just wanted to thank Holt and the delivery crew for safe pickup and delivery of our 1938 Gulbransen baby grand. It was all done much more quickly than anticipated on the day of delivery as well as even the scheduling process. Having hired several piano movers in the last 10 years, without a doubt Hoyt and Ryan with Bradfield Piano Moving and Storage are the best! They worked us in a busy day, communicated throughout the move, were timely, respectful, knowledgeable, and were reasonably priced. I was impressed that that Hoyt tunes, rebuilds, and provides piano appraisals as well. We will be moving our grand again next year to Albuquerque and we wouldnt dream of using anyone else!

The movers were great but when there is an issue the management is not very helpful. I will never recommend them to anyone. Have left 2 messages for the owner to call me with no response. When management called about the issue they literally interrogated my friend claiming that the piano was damaged with a knick in it when they picked it up. Then made me feel like I would lie about or I had put the knick on the piano myself.Very dissatisfied and upset that an expensive piano was damaged in the move.

When I first contacted Bradfield Piano Moving, I did not anticipate the transformation of my dads 7 Steinway. Yes, I was properly impressed with Rickys being able to maneuver the piano with knowledgeable ease, delicately balancing it on its side on the dolly, moving it up the trucks ramp, and strapping it in for the 125 mile trip. It was fascinating to watch him in action. I went from being horrified that he was without any helper to a sense of calm, brought about in short order by his assured and demonstrated experience.Conversations with Bradfield owner, Holt Deniger, informed me of his knowledge of Steinway and their repair. My father loved his piano, but he wasnt easy on it. Years of hard playing wore down the felt on the hammers and the piano had lost its Steinway sound. Holt knew how to replace the hammers sent from Steinway in New York. Many adjustments in height, keydip, aligning hammers to strings, balancing height, and spring tension adjustment and rechecking the complex, delicate instrument ensued.Holt further determined with his excellent communication skills my personal preferences in tone and key action, giving the instrument a wide dynamic range, making playing soft easy and smooth.Further, his cleaning of the piano made it look like new. Forty-eight years of dust accumulation disappeared.The finishing touch occurred when Lucas, his skilled technician, tuned the piano at its new Dallas location. With his delicate adjustments, the piano sings and I want to play it day and night. I just wish my dad was around to hear it now. One of the best decisions I ever made was to have Holt Deniger rebuild my Steinway piano. I have a Golden Age Steinway O, that needed some extensive rehab. Holt took it all apart, refurbishing/replacing virtually everything. I wish I had made a recording of the sound before and after. You would not believe it! He was professional, on time, on estimate and even gave me a loaner, while waiting on mine to be finished. Detailed Crafstman best describes Holt Deniger and his piano restoration. We have a Steinway M, built in 1955, with a rich family history. Some work was done elsewhere twenty years ago, but after daily studio use and a move cross country, the piano was in need of TLC. We happened upon Holt via his website. We conversed on the phone and he scheduled a meeting at his workshop realizing we didnt want to leave our treasure with just anyone. Everything about that initial meeting convinced us that we had found the right guy! His commitment to detail is noteworthy. Holt is skilled at an artisans level in woodworking, metal plating, action/voicing/string installation, all things Steinway, and is an excellent communicator. He sent regular updates, pictures, and videos as he knew we missed our piano over the six months of restoration. Every detail was covered over and above our expectations. The cabinet refinishing is nothing short of amazing - no sign of former flaws. The piano now plays more beautifully than I ever remember it! It responds exactly as desired to the touch. When the M arrived back at our home, Holt was in attendance to hear me play it for the first time. The emotion in the room was proof of his total investment in making sure he had done everything within his power to restore beauty back to our piano. We have nothing but praise for Mr. Deniger.

We needed to have our family Steinway grand piano moved from Dallas, TX to Lubbock, TX. A seasoned piano technician recommended Hold Bradfield Deniger in Dallas. He tunes, repairs, restores and moves pianos. He has worked for Steinway Hall, moved pianos for Van Cliburn competition, Meyerson Performance Hall, SMU and UNT. Based on his experience and credentials, we decided to use his company, Bradfield Piano Moving Company, to move our piano. On our piano moving day (3/24/17), Holt and his co-worker Ryan were very communicative, updating me throughout the day as to where they were and when they expected to deliver our piano in Lubbock. He gave me a two hour time window in which he expected to arrive in Lubbock with our piano. When Holt and Ryan arrived at the house in Lubbock, they assessed the most efficient entrance and route through the house to the room where the piano was to be set up. They unloaded and brought the piano into the house. The set-up of the piano went quickly and smoothly. Holt and Ryan adjusted the placement of the piano until it stood exactly in the spot where the new owners wanted it to be.My overall experience of using Bradfield Piano Moving Company was very positive. I am a very sensitive, discerning and detail-oriented person, having very high standards when it comes to service. Holt and Ryan were honest, efficient and skillful. My beautiful Steinway B desperately needed a 50 year tune up! I had difficulties with agraffes breaking and teflon bushings clicking. With an impending move from the metroplex, it was time to take care of our beloved instrument. Holt did a wonderful job and replaced everything with Steinway parts, preserving the integrity of the instrument. Agraffes, strings, hammers, shanks, flanges, repetitions, back checks and tuning pins were all replaced and then Miriam regulated the action and voicing until all was perfect. Not only did Holt know exactly what to do to eliminate the problems I had, he was patient and explained each step of the renovation to me and my husband. He and Miriam were both very professional in all of our dealings and everything was completed on time and for the price he quoted me. This piano has always had great depth, but Holt developed and shaped it into an outstanding instrument! Bravo on a job well done!

Holt Deniger restored my c.100 year-old Chickering grand piano. He replaced the strings, hammers, tuning pins, bridge pins, agraffes, felt, sand blasted the plate and painted it, refinished the sound board, did minor voicing and tuned the piano. Miriam Deniger adjusted the key action. Through Holt and Miriams impeccable workmanship and skill, the piano has been transformed into a fantastic sounding instrument and the adjusted key action makes it wonderful to play. Holt is an outstanding piano technician and he kept me well-informed with the progress of the restoration throughout the entire process.
