Excellent service, reasonable prices! This shop is great! Look forward to having them service more of our vehicles.
Charlie, the Owner at Danbury AutoWerks is the BEST! I went to another mechanics garage, before I met Charlie, with a check engine light issue on my BMW. The other, mechanics shop, before I met Charlie, gave me an inflated estimate (over $1,000) that included work that wasnt needed, or related to my check engine light issue to pass the CT emissions test.I highly, recommend, Charlie and his team, at Danbury AutoWerks!I took my car the next day, to a CT emissions test center, and PASSED with flying colors!Thank you,Charlie AgainChris Nazro M.S.Notary Public
They really helped me out the first time I went there. My wife had an emergency and they got the car done early for me. Was a bit pricey but because of the way they helped me, I was okay with it. Then about a week later and one of the problems returned. They fixed for free but it never felt the same since then. I called again to see about a timing belt service but the dealership gave me a better price. I always prefer going to local places rather than big chains and I will definitely go back. I will update my review accordingly.
Amazing service, was treated like a king! I had a work van that the calipers locked up and made it impossible to drive more than 10 mph. these guys moved at lighting speed, hopped on my van, and got it done the same day. Best part was - they could have charged me an arm and a leg - but no, professional from start to finish, even with the bill!
The warranty ran out on my Audi and I had some fairly significant repairs to do so I researched independent auto shops that had decent ratings to try to save money. Danbury AutoWerks had a decent number of reviews with the fewest complaints so I decided to give them a try. The gentleman at the front desk was professional and courteous and they asked me to bring in the car for an evaluation so I was impressed with the customer facing service. I was taken aback by the work recommendation. I was looking to replace the piston rings. What they came back with was a much larger job. Even that was ok but where they lost me was when they recommended I also replace the timing chain - which I had just replaced less than 20K miles ago. Also their price was 50% higher than the estimate from the dealership (maybe because of the timing chain suggestion?). Regardless I decided to not use their service.I was not going to write a review up to that point but when I picked up my car to drive it home there was a large clunk when I got on the highway and my wife who was following me told me something under the car was dragging on he ground. It turned out that they had taken the skid guard off of the bottom of my car and did not put it back. As a result a part of the engine compartment cover fell down and was dragging on the ground. They fixed it when I turned right around and took the car back to the shop but this was sloppy work. Luckily no one got hurt and nothing was damaged but I felt that I dodged a bullet. What if had elected to hire them to fix the car and they left a part unattached? It could have ruined the car.
If you are looking for honesty and great service then I recommend you take your car to Danbury Autoworks for all your car repair needs, they are by far the best in town, everyone is friendly and very professional.
After a few other shops couldnt figure out the electrical issues (needed jump start to run, but otherwise would run fine), Charlie and Doug were able to take on my project of a car! Within only a week, they were able to keep me updated, explain what the issues were (terminals + electrical), and even gave a fantastic & fair price for their work. Im very grateful that the team was able to diagnose and fix the issues on my vehicle, as other shops didnt want to take on the project, or werent able to diagnose what was occurring. My sports car is now able to turn on and off without needing a jump start each time (which couldve left me stranded at various places), and I now only need minor fixes such as new brakes and a headlight adjustment. The E-Brake light/sensor that would stay on at random is also fixed. Id highly recommend Danbury AutoWerks for their timely & efficient work, as well as their honesty and professionalism. Charlie and Doug were able to keep me updated and determine the cause of the issues. Would 100% return to resolve any mystery issues or major problems on my car, and recommend them to anyone else struggling with a mystery or project!Thank You!
Great place to get work done on your car.
Great service and quality of work was A1!
I would absolutely use this repair station for my Jeeps and any car i have . I found them honest, fair and a very responsible business their professionalism is second to none. Thank you
Charlie and his crew are great people who shoot you straight and do a great job with your car. Even took time out of his day to help get me into a rental car at a great price. Danbury Autowerks is the best place in the greater Danbury area to get your car back up and running!
I have had 3 of my German Cars fixed professionally by Charlie the Owner, and Doug the Mechanic at Danbury Autowerks.I highly recommend them, for whatever type of car you have.
More than pleased with the excellent service and customer care I received at this repair facility. Amazed that the owner is there everyday all day and answers the phone. Charlie gave me a great price and my car was fixed and haven’t had any issues with it since. If I ever need anything else I will absolutely be coming back. Highly recommend this shop to anyone who needs their car repaired .
Honest, knowledgeable, timely, extremely fair - Charlie and his team are all these things. I have a 2001 Audi A6 that was experiencing difficult to diagnose problems that my previous mechanic had given up on. Charlie and his guys diagnosed it quickly and addressed the problem. Against Charlies recommendation I asked him to install a used part I obtained online. It worked initially but then failed after a few days, as Charlie expected it might. Rather than an I told you so, Charlie was kind and patient and worked with me to obtain another part and he installed it immediately. When I asked him how much I owed him his reply was to shake my hand and thank me for my business. This was old-time family service that I have not seen in years. In subsequent visits for other repairs, its been more of the same: prompt, courteous, expert service for very fair and transparent prices. Ive driven up without appointment for problems that were happening right then and Charlie dropped everything to take a look and give me a ballpark on what the cost would be so I could make decisions on what to do next. As I was there he did the same for another customer. I dont write reviews but felt compelled to write this one as this kind of excellent service is becoming quite rare these days.
Fantastic garage! Honest, affordable, and timely!! Ive brought my Blazer and my sons Honda over to Charlie... He always does whats best for the customer and gets you back on the road in a safe vehicle!! Highly recommend!!
I moved to Danbury three months ago thought I had the best mechanics in the world until we had issues with my husbands Jeep !!!!!! We had so many issues with the Jeep went through so many mechanics in the Bronx always diagnosing everything wrong !!!!! Panicking one morning Jeep was leaking fluids I googled auto repair shops went through the reviews and chose to go to Charlie !!!!! He’s like an angel called me to give me all the bad news of everything that was wrong with the Jeep it was literally dangerous that’s how bad the problems were brake lines were ready to snap all kinds of leaks needed new brakes. Axel rods I could go on and on he quoted me a price of like 2000.00 but then called me After everything was done and says the good news is it’s only 1600 !!! I was so amazed the JeepIs now running like its brand new thank you for your honestly and amazing work you guys are literally the best mechanics ever !!!!!! I will never trust anyone to touch that Jeep except these guys !!!!!!! Carolyn from the Bronx !!!!!!
Several years ago Charlie resuscitated my VW based kit car. This entailed tracking down hard to find replacement parts, keeping me in the loop while the repairs were in progress and most importantly, keeping the total bill entirely reasonable. Last week I couldn’t get the car started and had to have it towed to the shop. Charlie found the problem was simply a clogged fuel filter and I had the car back the next day. Friends who have taken my recommendation to use Autowerks were just as pleased. Charlie and the staff are simply no nonsense problem solvers and if you are ready for that, you should give them a chance to show you how pleasant doing business with them can be.
Great place honest. I will come back
I brought my BMW in for a check engine light and the team there spent the time and effort to properly diagnose the issue and not just throw parts at the problem. When I left, my car was back in tip top shape. Great service, great price, and a knowledgeable team are just a few of the reasons that I recommend Danbury Autowerks to all of my family and friends.
I want to say I love this shop. I came in to fix my heat which was fixed with a great affordable fee and finished promptly. Then when I came to pick up my car they found out my whole sub frame to my Murano was totally rotted so bad it was bending out the tires. He said it was too dangerous to drive and would not let me drive it off the lot. He quoted me another great price and was so quick to fix the issue from Monday I had my car perfectly ready Friday night. These guys are amazing and I’ll definitely be coming back for any Of my auto needs. Thank you Autowerks and all the guys There for helping me.
Very happy to have found this place. Needed some work done on my Volkswagen and got a really expensive quote from VW in Danbury and called Charlie, the owner who was very kind and knowledgeable and they got me right in and did a great repair for much less than I would have paid at the dealership
Charlie was efficient and friendly. The repair was good, thorough and priced right. Thank you guys!
I dealt with Jimmy. After taking my 05 Toyota Corolla to the Toyota dealership to check-up on my brakes, I received an outrageous price. Im no car expert, but I know when Im being ripped off. I looked up other service shops and saw that Danbury AutoWerks had great reviews, so called them up. He gave me a quote over the phone, which I thought was great considering that most other places would ask to see the car (and probably charge for that, too). Nonetheless, he definitely beat the dealers price by $600. Thats $600 I could certainly use! Further, while fixing up my car, Jimmy and his crew discovered additional issues and also correctly diagnosed some other issues with the car ... without charging an additional diagnostic fee. I appreciate that he offers a good price and even better service, which was pretty fast, too, I thought. Im hoping not to have major issues with my car(s) again, but if I do, I know who Ill call up. Thanks, folks.
Decent and competitive prices. Very personable and up front/frank about whats needed and whats not. Good communication about how things are going. Will definitely return.
Jimmy is a great guy. Hes a straight shooter and knows what hes talking about. He knew all about my car and what needed to be done with it. He was up front about all of the work that was being done, communicated via phone and e-mail, and to be honest- probably charged me less than he should have. Thanks to Jimmy and the guys at Danbury AutoWerks, I will be bringing my car back to him in the future with something inevitably needs work done. You should too.
This place is the best and Jimmy is so great to work with!! He was able to save me money and my car was done when he said it would be. I will definitely bring my car back here and would recommend it to anyone.
Being from Wisconsin, Ive seen midwest hospitality. This place surpasses that! We were only in town for a short while and these folks were prompt in fitting us in and helping us out when we were in a jam. They were able to fix the problem and even recommend great places to eat and things to do in Danbury. Would highly recommend.
Great experience. They advised on what needed to be fixed on my sons 2003 Audi TT. The price was very fair and they did the work quickly. I found a new place to get my Audis fixed.
I brought my BMW there for a brake job great technicians great service at a great price! Highly recommended
I had an older Nissan Altima that basically the dealer told me to junk it because the frame was rotted brought it to autoworks and basically what they did is they repaired the frame re-welded everything cuz I love the car it runs really good they save me a lot of money from buying a new car thank you Auto works
I love this place! Jimmy is the best! My car was repaired and ready when he said it would be at the price I was quoted! Will NOT go to the dealership ever again.
Great and fast service! They fixed my window regulator on my 2009 BMW.
EXPENSIVE!The staff at Danbury AutoWerks was incredible to deal with. I echo any previous comments about southern hospitality; however, they charged me $700 for new breaks, rotors, and calibers for an 06 Sonata – REAR ONLY. That’s worse than dealership prices!Great customer service with experienced technicians but inflated pricing.
My daughter thought she had an issue with her car while at Westconn. She had to be out the next day. I found Autowerks online. They got her in and took care of the issue. Priced fairly. This was her first experience dealing with a garage. She was totally comfortable. It couldnt have been better. Well be coming back.
This is the place to go for any work you need done on your vehicles! My Subaru needed a new clutch and a significant amount work done to the engine. Autowerks gave me the best quote, discussed the repairs in great detail, and they were able to get it done FAST. The car feels brand new. Great shop and a professional team that cares about their customers.
Great service great price will return I recommend to everyone
I found them to be honest and efficient and reasonable in their prices. this is hard to find in the auto repair business. I will be back.
I brought my 2003 Audi a6 to get a time belt change. it has been over a year and no problem, simply the best
2nd time there. I had a loud metal sound coming from my front end. I dropped off the car and Charlie said it was just a loose bracket, no charge! It sounded expensive, and I am very happy!!
Fast professional service and great prices!
Reliable, fast and fair. Great place to bring my foreign cars!
This is a great place to get great service. How I first came to them makes the best story. My Audi A4 had a recall and I took it to Danbury Audi. While there, they said my water pump was about to go. I took the car to a local (New Fairfield) mechanic and asked him to replace the water pump per Danbury Audis diagnosis. When I stopped in later in the day, nothing was done on the car and the owner told me it wasnt the water pump, but the whole engine was ruined. He could replace the engine ($4000) or dispose of the car for me. I asked if the car could make it to my home (4 miles) and he was very doubtful, but I did it with no problem. The next day I did a search for Audi shops and found Danbury Autowerks. Brought the car in and told them about the water pump/whole engine dilemma. Later that day, Audi was returned with a new water pump ($900), quiet as a mouse and it kept going for years afterwards.Ever since the water pump, theyve been my go-to guys for both of my cars. I have never had a problem, work has always been done properly, done at a fair price, Ive sent friends there and James and Doug have always been a pleasure to know and deal with.
Very friendly, took care of my oil change quickly and charged a great price!
I cant think of a shop I trust more for my precious problem child Saab. I used to bring my Saabs there but geographically it became tough throughout the years. I had my Saab towed there on Thursday after bringing it to multiple places - no one could find the problem. Doug immediately zeroed in on it, got the pet - a big problem these days for Saabs, and fixed it 1,2,3. If they gave PH.Ds for auto mechanics Doug would hold one. No more messing around with closer shops.Autowerks has my business from here on in
Great service and maintenance and repairs, beats those dealers
Great staff very knowledgeable
Charlie has the STRANGEST way of doing Business; but he did come thru for me. Thank you, Charlie!
Good work, quick and I dont feel ripped off- try them out-
Trustable
Awesome place!
Fix the problem good price
