Thinking I had and issue with my front brakes, I called and they would see me right away. After their inspections they found there was nothing wrong with the brakes. Jamie the manager showed me my pads were in great shape and I should have no worries returning to North Carolina . Gave them 5 stars for their honesty. Keep up the great work.

This place is great! They got me in on a Sunday to plug a hole in my tire from a nail. I had my kids with me ( both toddlers) Im sure you all know how that could go lol. Casey got me in right away and was done in about 25 min. Amazing! I packed a ton of snacks to keep the kids happy cause I thought I would be there for hours. What a great surprise! Thank you again

I had never been to Monro Auto prior to last week. I was in a jam and found them online.They hustled to get my RV fixed so I could get on the road as scheduled with my kids.They did a great job and I really appreciate it.

A great place for muffler fix if you are willing to drop your car for a while. The service can be very expensive.

The owner and staff were rude. We called ahead to make sure if they would be able to look at the car as it was an emergency. Owner said yes and when we got there told us to wait an hour without as much as a polite word. Wouldn’t recommend going to this place.

Just went to get my snow tires mounted and they replaced my key fob battery free of charge. They have done work on my car in the past and I have never been disappointed with the outcome. The prices are fair and the guys are honest I would definitely recommend

Jaimie and his crew really helped me out, bought a used lemon and the dealership I bought it from wouldn’t work with me which is another story but he let me buy my own alternator to keep costs down and had my truck ready in a matter of days. Also found my water pump was leaking while replacing the alternator and gave me a great price on it and I was able to take my vacation. Will tell family and friends to go here I highly recommend it. Great service! Pulled in yesterday morning on my way to work since I heard my exhaust break. They had me on the lift in a matter of minutes, showed me exactly where it broke and was fixed that day (only a few hours). Back on the road, worry free. Great employees, kind and knowledgeable.

Cant say enough about Monro on Newtown Road. Had a leak in my tire for three days and most places were without power due to the hurricane. They were able to take me in on short notice even though they were solidly booked. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Went to go get my oil change done on my 2006 Honda Civic Lx Coupe. Note I am a seventeen year old boy first car. They took my car and the employee in his dirty uniform all over my new seat covers came in took my car and put my spedometer in kilometers when I had it set at miles. When it was time to pay they tried saying I needed new tire rods and alignment. I had gotten an computer alignment one month ago and insisted my car needs new tire rods and said it was around $500. They tried taking advantage of me thinking that I did not know a single thing about cars to take extra money for me. Do not get me wrong the oil change was good and all and cheap but its wrong for you to promote me to fix things in my car that do not need to be fixed. If this was any other person they might have gotten tricked into doing so. Offer better service next time use a cover and place it on the drivers seat of my car. Especially with the coronavirus pandemic going on. AND DO NOT TRY AND PROMOTE THINGS THAT DO NOT NEED TO BE FIXED IN MY CAR BE HONEST!

These guys were great! I had two lug nuts that I stripped due to rust. The guys worked hard to get them off keeping me informed on what they were doing. It ended up taking 2.5 hours and a blow torch to get them off. They didnt charge me an arm and leg for all the time it took. I would highly recommend this shop. Thanks guys!

These guys are great! I stopped in there last night because I had a nail in my tire. I am not from the area, it was 5:30 on a Friday, and I was pretty stressed out! They took care of me right away and were not only professional but nice. They explained what was wrong, how they were going to fix it, and did it quickly. Stopped by on a Sunday morning without an appointment because my truck threw a check engine light. The team took the truck right in and and ran some diagnostics to give me the peace of mind that I would be safe to make it home (from out of state). Best of all, they didn’t charge me for any of this.

I was introduced to this location through my sister who came here to fix a flat tire. They had a new one available for her right on site at a reasonable price, no ordering or waiting.Then today I came for an oil change without an appointment, I had a low oil warning and one of the gentlemen, Kacey, squeezed me in and helped me on his lunch time because I was worried about my car.Great customer service overall, very nice employees!! These guys really made my day ! Thanks guys ! My car broke down close to their shop in the morning of March 23rd, 2020. As I sat in the car waiting for my husband to bail me out, one of their workers comes over with a battery charger and asks to help . Of course I said yes and he quickly reboots and notices it’s more than the battery. He takes car into the shop as my husband arrives on the scene and takes me to work. They quickly diagnose the problem and with polite permission fix all affected parts in record time for pick up after my work hours . I’m so grateful and will definitely recommend them to any one! . I had such a fantastic experience with this car place. My husband was out of town and my brakes locked up. Jamie, the manager, took my car in right away. He was kind to me and dealt with my husband over the phone. As luck would have it, the day after getting the brakes fixed, I got a flat tire. Back to Monro! I dropped off my tire and Casey, one of the mechanics, drove it back to MY HOUSE and put the tire on for me! The staff is friendly and helpful and went the extra mile several times throughout my two days there. I had a wonderful experience.

My experience here was exceptional. Both Vee and Casey were so helpful as soon as I came in. The quality of service and the work done was more than I could have asked. Although I live out of state if I ever have another issue and I’m in the neighborhood I would bring my car here again no question. They were kind enough to show me what was happening with my car and explained everything before they did the work so we were all on the same page. I’m super grateful for their help and expertise.

I highly recommend this place. Great prices on service and very helpful. My first time going in for an oil change Jaime and Carlos showed me many other issues with my car that most mechanics would never bother to check. They wrote out a list of repairs that needed to be done but put no pressure on me to get them done that day or at their shop. When I told them I was going to do my brakes myself they even explained some tips that I did not know about. I will definitely be going back and recommend anyone else to do the same.

DO NOT GO TO THIS MECHANIC. LIARS and THIEVES. If I could put negative stars I would. I went here to get my tires balanced. They take my car in and then call me over once they took my tires off and told me that my tire had a nail and a screw in it so they couldnt balance my tires. I asked if the tire with the nail and screw could be fixed and they said no because since there were two punctures in the tire then it couldnt be repaired and that the nail was too close to the rim of the tire so that couldnt be fixed. The manager was the one doing all the talking and he would cut off the mechanic when I would ask him questions about my tires, the manager would butt in and answer. He had the most excited look on his face like he hit the jackpot. Then the manager proceeds to inspect my tires and says theyre cracked and that Im going to need new tires. He said and I quote, Oh Im so sorry it looks like youre gonna need to buy new tires and since this is a 4x4 youre gonna need to buy all 4 tires. I said to him, You dont sound genuinely concerned. He sounded like a lying thief is what he sounded like. Sarcastic and greedy. THEN on top of that, he says my rear brakes are about to go and I need to get them replaced. I ignored him because I already knew that because Im a woman he saw dollar signs on my face, so I turned and asked the mechanic if my brakes were bad and he looked down and then whispered that they were fine. The manager insisted that I touch the brake pad so I could see that it was warped and that it had grooves that I could feel and that was bad. I humored him and touched the brake pads to get him to stop insisting that I see for myself. I told him I didnt need new brakes or new tires. I asked the mechanic, who was a nice guy, if my tire with the nail and screw was safe to drive on for now and he said its not losing any air so if you need to drive on it now you can but you should get it fixed to be safe. I asked them to put my tires back on and I left. A few days later I went to see a friend of a friend who is an expert mechanic and he told me my tires are fine they are not cracked at all they are only 3 years old, he removed the nail on my tire, left the screw in since he tested both where the nail had been and the screw to see if it was leaking air and it wasnt, filled it with tire foam that is guaranteed 60,000 miles. He looked at my rear brakes and said they were completely fine they did not need changing at all. He was angry that these guys tried to take advantage of me and so was I. So be warned dont get ripped off.

I got a flat tire during a 2.5 hr trip just before New Years Eve...despite there only being half an hour before they closed, I was brought right in and had my tire fixed within 15 min. If not for the employee who helped me out (I didnt catch his name) I probably would have been stuck in a hotel until a shop opened up the next day. Thank you again for your amazing service!!

Went today with my 13 Wrangler and saw a coupon online that needed to be printed, the gentleman at the desk was very very courteous and professional and told me I didnt need to have it printed that he would take car of it. Had my alignment done and I could tell the car was much better. Unfortunately I did not catch the name of the gentleman but I will be doing my alignments here in the future. Definitely recommend

Jamie is extremely professional, customer oriented, and goes out his way to ensure you receive the best service. I brought in my BMW 328i to have the rear tires checked as I was suspecting leakage. For the last several weeks I had to constantly fill the tires up with air. Jamie was able to get me in on the same day, check the tires, and was up front with me that it was beyond time to replace the tires. Cannot say enough good things about the group at this location. I can not tell you the level of stress Monro Muffler saved me. After getting an estimate of $1400 to fix my Nissan from the dealership. I took it to Jamie at Monro Muffler for an estimate. He fixed it for $250 plus tax. It was fixed quickly, done right and I wasnt ripped off!

Easy and quick! I was able to walk in and have my oil changed quickly and without being pressured to do a ton of extra stuff I didnt need. Would definitely go back next time I need it done.

I got a rather big bolt stuck in my tire on Sunday. Monro was one of very few places open, took me right away without an appointment and repaired the tire. I am extremely happy with the service, they saved me a bundle and I was able to be on my way in about a half an hour.

I bought a used car twice in the last two months. Both times Monro was able to schedule me in at the last minute to inspect the cars so I could finish my deals. They explained in detail any issues discovered and how that affects the car. I will start using them for regular service.

I was mailed a coupon from Monro Auto Service in Danbury, for a $15.99 conventional oil change and free tire rotation.I made an appointment and handed the coupon prior to service, which they excepted. After the oil change was completed they refused to honor the coupon and ended up charging $28.37 and no tire rotation. When I complained they told me that the prices went up due to Trump and his tariffs. They also told me my sway bars were worn and needed to be replaced, I let them know that the sway bars were new, I just had them replaced 3 weeks ago.He apologized and told me the mechanic was new, and must have made a mistake. Beware, this place does not honor their coupons, and they try to sell repairs that are not needed. I have already told my friends and family, I will never go back.

Just had my brakes replaced here all 4 rotors and new pads. They got me in very quickly and within about 2 hrs maybe less had me out the door and on the road.. I have brought all my cars here to have my brakes done. The guys working here are very polite very knowledgeable and very quick..

I was dealing with no windshield wipers for over a month. My third party warranty was a PITA. Luckily, Jamie was patient and awesome through the whole process. Finally, got the windshield wiper motor installed! Thank you, Jamie and everyone who was involved.

UPDATE This is an update since my last review of this place. I have dropped in at least 3 times with a problem and each time they took the time to look at my car right then and there, and fix the problem for me. They were small problems and didnt take much time, but it meant the world to me. And they never charged me for those quick visits. I cant say enough good things about this place!!I love this place. Every time I have popped in without an appointment with some sort of an emergency, they have always taken care of me. Just the best place around to take your car.

I went to Monroe for an oil change and alignment; the customer service was great. A day later, I started to notice a noise in my front end that was not there before the work was done. The steering wheel was not aligned to the wheels of the car when driving straight and there was a persisting shake in the wheel while driving, I also noticed a loud whine coming from the front of my vehicle. I returned to Monroe with these new issues to let them know what I was experiencing, ad they told me they would look at it.The tech got into my car in his dirty uniform (I understand that he works in an automotive shop) WITHOUT using a steering wheel cover, a seat cover, or a paper floor mat. I worked in a garage that required we use these three things or risk being reprimanded. He proceeded to take my car on a test drive and after pulling out of the parking lot he stopped to allow traffic to pull away and then took off aggressively, accelerating to a high speed. He returned to the shop parking lot and told me that all of the issues I was describing were non-existent and then pointed out a completely unrelated issue and told me thats where my problem was stemming from. Apparently a small leak in my rear caliper would cause my front end to shake? I asked the tech the same question and he had no answer for me. The shop offered to double check my alignment to be sure that wasnt my issue. My experience in a shop has taught me that taking weight off the vehicles wheels: ie. using a lift, youll have the ability to provide a more accurate diagnosis, but they drove the car up on an alignment rack.I feel like the employees didnt care about me as a customer at all, and were doing the best they could to not take any responsibility in the situation. Even if the problem wasnt caused by the work they did, it was evident that they werent interested in helping me with my car. The environment of the shop seemed this way as a whole. Just over in the bay next to me, another employee was eating his lunch in a customers car. Again, no steering wheel cover, seat cover, or floor mat.After all of this, I was pulling out of Monroe and immediately my symptoms returned. For a long time I recommended Monroe to anyone I could, but will never again return for work or recommend this garage to anyone.

My brakes suddenly started making a terrible grinding noise today (a Sunday afternoon). Since I commute two hours a day I was really concerned about finding out what the problem was before starting the work week. Thankfully, Monro Muffler on Newtown Road in Danbury was open. By the time I arrived the noise had abated but the technician took a look anyway and told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with my brakes - it may have just been a small rock that got caught temporarily. Carlos and Charlie were wonderful!! No charge for the time it took them to make sure there was nothing wrong, and I now have peace of mind. Thank you so much! I will return to this establishment-trust, convenience, honesty, great customer service!!

Fast and affordable oil change!

The wonderful people at this shop helped to bail me out of a seriously bad situation. It was a combination of this place and Danbury Autowerks helping to get my car back to being road worthy again.It all started when I needed a clutch replacement done on my 2007 Tiburon. I made the horrible costly mistake of taking my car originally down the street to Macs Automotive to save a few dollars. The mechanic at Macs Automotive was totally inexperienced and ended up really botching up a lot of things while taking out my transmission and getting to the flywheel in addition to not knowing how to put a manual transmission back together on my car.Long story short Danbury Autowerks put my transmission back together in 6 hours when in the previous shop my car was sitting on the lift from Friday morning until Tuesday morning. My car still needed some work when I got my car back from Danbury Autowerks. It was already 10am and I needed to be at work and did not have time to take it back to Danbury Autowerks so on my way to work i stopped at Monro Auto Service to have my front end alignment done, come to find out that I had an axle seal leaking, stripped strut bolt, and a good handful of other problems caused by Macs Automotive. The mechanic really helped me out and even took me under my car to show me all of the things the last mechanic from Macs automotive totally botched. I can tell the mechanic has a deep passion for what he does. :-) You just dont see that anymore these days.I was also thankful this place is open late when everyone else closes at 5pm because I needed to stop back after work to replace my leaky axle seal. They also topped my fluid, fixed a stripped strut bolt, and went above and beyond correcting a lot of the botched messes that Macs automotive caused.Thank you very much to everyone at Monro Auto service. You guys really helped me when I was having a really bad week

Honestly so glad I came here for an oil change! I usually go to a Foam & Wash near me when I want a quick oil change done and yet I always end up leaving disappointed, belittled as a customer, and essentially ripped off. This place not only did my oil change in a decent amount of time but their staff was professional and really took care of me! There was no bogus recommendations just to charge me extra and I didn’t feel belittled at all (as I am a young woman with little car knowledge). I will be coming back for sure!!

I’ve been bringing my Honda Civic to Monro for 10 years. I would trust my car no where else. Jamie and his team provide the best customer service ever. Monro has a customer for life!

I highly recommend this place. They have good prices and also the manager is so honest and they do a really good job.
