We love everything about Danvers Port Marina! This will be our fourth year at the Marina. As a member we have had the opportunity to enjoy countless functions and events. The facility is always immaculate. Their entire team works together to meet the needs of their guest. Dan and Billy do a fantastic job handling everything in regards to all your logistical needs for your boat. In the office Brian,Jim and Erin have been wonderful going out of their way to always accommodate us. We recently purchased a Scout from Brian, he took the extra time with all of our special request and delivered as promised! We would highly recommend Danversport and their amazing team to anyone !!
Great place to store boat. Very reasonable prices.
Excellent diligent staff
Working with Danversport has been amazing! I have had to reschedule my bridal shower twice now due to COVID19 and they never failed to find something that worked for me. They always answered my emails in a timely manner and were extremely professional. They truly showed how much they cared for me as a bride and what I was going through with having to postpone. They went above and beyond I really cant say enough how thankful I am that I chose Danversport and how wonderful every staff member has been to work with.
My brother and new sister in Law had their wedding ceremony in late June. Beautiful locale and although we could not utilize the reception hall due to COVID the scenery and company combined for an amazing time!
Marina is decent. Some nice people on the docks and cheap for the north shore. It is close to 30 mins of no wake with 2 bridges that may need to be raised for a boat. Docks are solid and maintained well, has shore power and fresh water. SERVICE Department is completely incompetent. We had to stop storing our boat for the winter here. When we would have it dewinterized there would have anti freeze in all of the fresh and salt water lines, the boat would be covered in muddy foot prints. One year THEY LOST OUR KEYS, when we asked for our keys back after wi ter storage, they told us we had them and that we must of lost them, 2 years later we got a call saying they had done some spring cleaning and found our keys, we never got an apology. IN SHORT-- the marina itself is nice expect for the long no wake zone but the service department is completely and utterly incompetent.
I am a new slip holder/member this year. The team at Danversport is very accommodating and respond to emails quickly. All the owners of the slips around me are helpful and friendly. Convenient to get to and reasonably priced slips.
Beautiful facilities, excellent, knowledgeable professional staff.
I am a new customer at Danversport and thoroughly impressed with the customer service of Erin and Brian. Very accommodating and they engage the customers very well, they are very generous with their time and are focused on your needs. Great job and thank you.
Great people, very accommodating, and trust worthy. I bought my boat, maintain, and store it all at the marina. I would highly recommend Danversport Marina for all those reasons.
Bought parts for my Yahaha outboard from Jim McKinnon.Jim took the time to explain how to winterize my motor. Friendly, helpfull service is hard to come by lately. Thanks Jim for being kind to a senior citizen.
Im disappointed that they have gone all function and pub style dining. The food is equally as fabulous, but I miss the fine dining atmosphere.
Its a thumbs down from me!!!! 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻It still seams that The Boating Industry as a whole is STILL riff with misogyny.A 1 star for Danversport Marina and the idiot running it.Mr John Bibeau.Wow!!!!If your a woman and want to spend your money my advice Ladies!!!Dont bother with these idiots called Danversport Marina!!!!Beware of these men who still believe in misogyny.👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
This place is the best!
The last time i had my boat serviced here was about 3 years ago. I dropped it off to have it winterized and the dolts unhooked the battery (normal) and left the plug in (not normal). They moved the boat outside, without informing me and an early winter storm came in over the weekend causing it to fill with water and then freeze. The engine was partially submerged and the vinyl was crusted with ice. I was lucky and did not suffer any permanent engine damage, but the vinyl on the sundeck cracked.I guess there is a very good reason that most of the boat owners who dock their boats in Danversport Marina drive past this place and take their boat to Portside.
Absolutely amazing place and great service department, these guys are awesome 👍
A great place to keep your boat, and kid friendly atmosphere!
Love it!!!! Party day and night 🎊🥂
I just bought a new Scout 215 XSF from DanversPort Marina and found Alana and Brian to be incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. My wife and I must have visited every boat dealer on the north shore, and they were by far the friendliest and most accommodating. I was able to get a test ride on a similar boat immediately, which was not possible or offered at other dealerships (it helps that they are right on the water of course!).To complicate things, I had a special request – I wanted a boat with an Evinrude e-tec motor (Seems like Yamaha controls the market these days but that does not mean they are better!). Every other dealership I talked to just pushed what they had. Danversport was the only place that took the time to check with the manufacturer and work with my local Evinrude dealer (Browns Yacht Yard) to make it happen. I expected this “special order” to be challenging and pricey, but Brian and Alana, (and Browns) took care of everything. They even honored the package pricing, though I ended up getting some upgrades on the engine which of course cost extra. I was also able to take advantage of the free 10 year engine warranty upgrade promotion. (Turns out Scout does equip boats with Evinrude, they just don’t really promote it in this county – hmmm).I took delivery of the boat a few weeks ago and it’s perfect! The only hitch was Scout installed a prop size that turned out to be not quite optimal, but Alana made arrangements with Scout to exchange it, which was quick, painless and free.I was quite surprised to see a few negative reviews on here. Misogyny??? Hell no! Our main contact was female and they were all very profession with both my wife and me.Overall a great experience and a great crew, highly recommended!
A very nice facility for Boating lifestyle. The restaurant is closed but of course the bar is open!!
Its one of the best marinas on the north shore
I am reviewing the marina, not the restaurant or function hall. I think DYC is mainly focussed on the function business these days.As someone who had a slip there for three years and have been next door at Bunkys for six seasons now, my review is based upon keeping my boat there for the 2005-2007 boating seasons. As such it is dated, and I hope that DYC Marina has improved in that time. Im giving them the benefit of the doubt and rating them as a Good versus Poor-Fair.Based upon my three seasons at DYC, DYC Marina is OK (rates a POOR to FAIR as a place to keep your boat, assuming its under 35, to perhaps a GOOD if it is larger or youre of the drinking/partying type). I think Bunkys is a much better value, especially for a family boater with a boat about 35 feet or less. See my review of Bunkys.A positive is that DYC has a fuel dock, but it is open to anyone to use. I am currently at Bunkys and I use this fuel dock all the time. So, the fuel dock is not a reason to keep your boat at DYC versus anyplace else nearby. The people at the fuel dock are always helpful, which is why I gave DYC Marina a GOOD.From the perspective of having a slip there, the down sides of DYC Marina are that:1) there is a party crowd that drinks a lot and Im not crazy about2) they dont keep a close enough eye on the place. some of the party-crowd people invited friends to park their boats overnight there - right next door to my boat - and there were strangers partying on the dock for a couple of days. Who do you speak with about these things if you have a problem? See my next point.3) if you want something taken care of, you have to contact a lady who works from 10 to 2 on weekdays and takes a lunch break. Moreover, you dont get the feedback that work on your boat was completed. So, if you dont live right next door and cant easily check on your boat yourself, this is a big headache.4) Their mechanic is a nice guy, but he doesnt know outboards. I learned the hard way that hes strictly a Mercruiser guy. I missed most of the 2007 season because he screwed up the spark plug wires on my motor and I had to find another mechanic (in Gloucester) to fix it since he couldnt find the problem and few other mechanics at the time would work at DYC.5) Bunkys (next door) is significantly less expensive.6) The bathrooms werent very clean, and they werent air conditioned. The positives, especially if you have a very large boat, are:- They have a large lift facility, which is important if youre storing or servicing a very big boat.- They also have some slips for fairly large boats.- They have a shallow pool that if you have small kids they can swim in while you clean the boat. Kids about 10 or older will feel very out of place in this pool, as it is mostly filled with little kids.- And, if you are more of a drinking/partying type, youll fit in nicely at DYC Marina.Since I just have a 27 foot boat and Im more about boating than partying, the negatives far outweigh the positives and Im A LOT happier next door at Bunkys.
Sales team here are sneaky and dishonest in every way. VERY unprofessional and think people actually believe their antics.I would give a half star if I could.Steer very clear of this place.MANY MANY more upstanding marinas in NE.
