For a small grocer, this location has quite a variety in their selections. Very good for European and other international foods. The store was clean. The selection of produce was above average for the area. The only catch is you pay a little bit more. It’s worth it! Enjoy!

I’ve shopped here all my life. This place has excellent staff and even better food from the deli all the way to produce it always satisfies to the max with its amazing prices. Very family friendly and would recommend for any first time shoppers looking for exquisite Europe imported foods

The prices are ok, the tomatoes price is higher than the market. Also, I think the scale need to fix, because when I bought the vegetables and fruits, I weighted them in my house and, I found some different than the receipt. So just be careful when you shopping next time. (for shoppers)The meat, chickens fridges on the wall is not really organized and little smelly, please take care of that. The other sections are good . (For the owners)This first time shopping in this place, I will go back.

Great local market. They have a good selection of eastern European goodies.

Its not huge, but it is packed with items. Their produce section was bright and clean, well stocked. The couple of times Ive asked a employee for help they were very helpful. I travel by and stop a few times throughout the year. Always good.

I love this place. It has spices, candies, beers, wines,dairy products, cookies, meats and a lot of things from my country (ex Yugoslavia) and Eastern Europe, so every time we go to Chicago this is our place to visit. The prices are decent too.

Brookhaven is very good store with a lot of Serbian and Balkan products. If you miss something from Balkan you can find in this store. When you come in this store you are think maybe I am in Balkan not in Chicago :) If you need local wine (for example Kovacevic or Radovanovic), Serbian brandy, chese, burek with meat you can find in this store. Also, you have a some guys who speak Serbian language.

Love this store. Small but great meat department, nice seafood selection. Prices are a little high. Could use a written guide for liquor department. Liquor department has wide selection of eastern European brandy, but I lack the knowledge to shop it. Bakery items and dessert pastries are very good.

Ordered on line for curb pick upthey did not pick up the phone had to go in to ask for my itemsthe items I ordered were not correctthey claimed that the right ups numbers were scanned, but the items did not match description on the website. refused to replace the items. the manager was very rude.wasted time and money

Wonderful Balkan market with an outstanding selection. They have everything from snacks to beer to wine to rakija. We love their fresh grilling meat like cevapi and sausages. Best Balkan selection hands down in the area.

Pleased with the over all grocery items. Meat, deli, meat department butchers. Helped me when i asked for a smaller rib section and cut it in half for me. Liked the new meat counter and fish case. Only thing, i dont see sanitized carts or sanitized wipes when i walk in.

I bought 25 days expired mascarpone cheese. Tried to exchange to good one but manager said that i don’t have receipt and i didn’t buy it at this store. That’s not true. I go to this store almost every day because it is close to my work. Always keep your receipts and look best before dates on products at this store!!

Hello, be careful when you buy products, they always lie with the prices, some are on the shelf, others are lame at the cash register, pay attention to the expiration date, they sell expired products, the prices are in the ceiling, my experience, avoid this market, it is not for buying, for Balkan products there is Tonis has Pitz and they are far cheaper, thanks for the understanding

I love that we have a grocery store that we can run in to pick up a couple of items or buy for the whole week that is local. Everyone is very nice and professional which makes shopping at Brookhaven a positive experience.

Shopped here almost all my life and have worked here for about 5 months now. Always a great place to get a wide variety of foods especially Europe. Amazing new upgraded facilities and can’t think of a better grocery store!

Lots of great products, but I found their baked goods to be disappointing - like a walnut banana bread with virtually no banana or walnuts.

When I lived in Darien, this was our favorite place to shop for specialty needs. Today was our first day back in quite some time and its changed a bunch. They have added a couple of pretty rude deli workers and their cheese 🧀 selection isnt as varied as it used to be. Its one of the only places to get fresh pizza dough (which sadly they were also out of). Well try again, but today was very disappointing.

I always shop here when i am in Chicago. Store is pretty good with lots of Balkan products. Always check date of use for all products and if you see some unusual codes and numbers as expiration date dont get it. 2/3 of my last purchase is with expired date. Ones with strange codes without expiration date are expired for sure.

This location has a great selection of product but a poor selection of people dealing with customer service. Even at this moment, they are refusing to answer their phone after hanging up on me instead of letting me speak to a manager about purchasing a product. Such a shame

Decent grocery store but the cashiers seem to always have some sort of attitude. The people at the bakery section and produce section are friendly and professional. No idea whats wrong with the cashiers.

Small, crowded store, but I always find something interesting to buy. Tofu noodles, marinara sauce, smoked bacon, and some yummy bakery. Prices are a little higher than some other grocery stores, but nice to visit for more international choices.

I havent been in this place for several years. Its much cleaner now. Meats on the shelves looked a little tired, but I have seen much worse. They sell some items that no other independent grocery stores sell, which was nice.

If you dont mind the fun of playing bumper carts with others; its a great place to make a quick stop for something great and the meat counter provides an expedient cut of meat you might wait a moment or two for - they seem very courteous. I like that you can find fruits and vegetables of variables all year. I would call this market busy and popular; regular customers and those who love variety and flair. The Cashiers are very courteous and do it right with Customers and the Manager went out of his way for me to assist and that is why I would keep going back. I like to shop here for some items I dont find at a local grocery store.

Close to home and no large crowds but sometimes older products, sometimes moldy bread and sometimes the deli staff is not on the ball. With a little fine tuning this store could improve. Overall I go here and hope they do fix their issues.

Go to shopping center at work for European foods. Great selection and the deli counter is a hidden gem. I also highly recommend searching for the prosciutto ends as they are priced reasonably and if using them in a larger recipe they are perfect. The bakery leaves something to be desired as things often taste stale.

Brookhaven has the best variety and prices for produce and meat. They are also the best for lunch meat especially Boars Head. They are pricey for any every day groceries so I only go here for produce and lunch meat. Really good handmade desserts as well and cheese selection

These people have lost it! Their prices are crazy.....on 90% of the store! Wake up Shop & Save is just down the street and Jewel on most stuff is less expensive!

Good variety of ethnic food as well as daily groceries. Place is clean and staff is friendly. Been coming here for almost 20 years.

Convenient shopping center with options for grocery, pharmacy, auto repair, alcohol and tobacco. Some take out food options as well as dry cleaners. Easy parking and good location.

Prices are way to high. The quality of the price is not the best. Petes market has better prices and the produce is fresher. The cashiers are not friendly at all.

It may be smaller than the nearby Jewel, but the selection and quality here is much better. The produce is fresher with a wider variety. The shelves have always been stocked whenever I have visited. Cant say the same for that other place where things often seem pretty picked over.

If you need an ethnic ingredient or fresh food for a dish this is the place. Expansive array of food and canned choices for your recipes.

Some employees are rude but it’s BC they are young.
