The older gentleman wasn’t too friendly at all. Used to be very helpful and welcoming staff. Now it’s just rude and pi$$y customer service. Price’s are higher than any other local hardware stores as well. Will be the last time for me.

These guys are great! With our recent community wide power outage, they stayed open regardless of not having any electricity at the store themselves. They served the community to the best of their abilities, and a guy like myself who likes conveniences, was very impressed with keeping things upbeat, despite the situation. Support local, because a small place like this is a gem in the neighborhood!

The personalized care here is great. When my sump pump went out, they were able to fix the connections between the new one and the existing hoses. They are helpful and knowledgeable!

I was greeted promptly apon entering the store. Thank God because I was sent by my husband with a screw and a description of what I needed. I handed it to him and he took me to what I needed. I was in and out in only a few minutes. I have never seen a store SO clean and organized. It was immaculate. Thanks for making that painless.

The only place where I will buy my hardware needs! Great people and great prices. They are also locally owned! Just bought a new chainsaw Stihl M170 and it was $20 off! The new owners are awesome!

I have met the new owners and they are Amazing people! The reason they kept the name “Home” Hardware is because they are a true throwback to a “mom & pop” shop. They repaired my mower, tuned it up, and even cleaned it for me, who does that anymore?! The price I paid was less than I would have paid anywhere else and the time, attention, kindness, professionalism and service was priceless. Before I shop online or go to a big box store I will think of Home Hardware first as they are a class act and somewhere I am happy to spend my hard earned money at. They are local and family owned and worth the value!

I can ask any employee a question and they are knowledgeable and friendly. They ask smart questions to ensure you are getting the best thing for you and not just the most expensive thing on that category.They do so many things that the big name stores dont, like learn your name, greet you with a friendly smile, and interact with you like you matter instead of like you are interrupting their work.A great experience all around from buying an expensive lawnmower to buying a quart of oil.

You might pay a little more, but its locally family owned, there staff is friendly and ALWAYS has what you need..I highly recommend!!😀

I called about a mower. They had what I wanted and delivered it for free in less then two hours. WOW, where else these days can you get that kind of service.

Not the store it used to be. My grandmother came here for over 40 years, my father as well. This used to be my go-to store because even though it was small, the employees were friendly and helpful. That just isnt the case anymore, sadly.

Been going to Home Hardware since we moved back to Iowa in January 2019, tired of the Home Depot and Lowes, can never find someone to help, recently we had to order a part for our Stihl Weed Eater, Bruce called and said part was in, when I went in to pick up the part noticed the impressive Stihl display, needless to say I had to get the Stihl Blower since my DeWalt died. Thanks Bruce and Rob for helping me choose the right one and being patient with me with all my questions. By the way Brian loves his Toro Mower👍

This is the kind of hardware store I remember growing up. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They know exactly where it is or exactly how to get it. An old time place with old time service. I love it!

Bought our STIHL weed eater from here a little over a year ago, also bought a 6 pack of oil when we purchased because if you did so you received an extended warranty. Towards the end of the season we began having issues with the weed eater staying running. Took it in to get it fixed and apparently they had to order a part to fix the issue. Never called to discuss this with us and what that would cost. When we went to pick it up the charge was $100 and they wouldnt honor our warranty, saying it wasnt a part issue it was our fault for not cleaning the gas lines properly. Told them just to keep the weed eater because we werent going to pay 3/4 the cost of what a new weed eater would cost. Again weed eater was just over a year old and we paid for extended warranty but they wouldnt honor it. So much for shopping local and trying to support local businesses. Next time Ill just go to a big box store, I can get poor and dishonest service anywhere for half the cost.

Great service, quality products, at resonable prices.

Dont take your mowers here for repair. Charges were outrageous and owner refused to call back to discuss and justify. Went to pick up and they had spilled oil all over it and had bent the muffler guard out 90 degrees. I had to have them clean it up before putting in my car. Had been going there for 20 years, this place has sadly gone down hill.
